Default Saturday morning

Good morning,
I'm at the office working this morning. I only have to be here until noon. I don't really mind working on Saturday. I just have to answer the phone for dispatch. It's usually pretty quite.

I've given myself permisson to stay on line until 9:00 a.m., then I need to work on my Account homework.

I thought I might overeat yesterday due to the fact that I was a little bummed about the scales being up at my weigh-in on Thursday. But I had a self-talk with myself and asked myself: Will overating change what happened?--No, will I feel better about myself if I overeat?-no, how will I feel physically if I overeat?-Lousy! Who wants to have indigestion, and feel their clothes tight? If I don't overeat, how will it benefit me?--Next week I will show a loss, or at least have the chance to see the scales go down. If I overeat, then the chance of that happening is gone. Also, for the first time in the whole time I've worked here, I was able to wear a regular xl t-shirt! We had a cookout for our drivers and brokers yesterday and we had ordered company t-shirts to give away. We all had to wear them yesterday and I was able to wear a xl, instead of a xxl! That's want not overeating can do!

I think it really helps me to set daily goals for myself. What do you all think? Anyone want to try it with me?

My daily goal for today is to be sure that I eat at least 2 veggies. I tend to slack on that on the weekends, because we have a lot of quick meals--especially on Saturday. I'm going to make sure that I have a bag of salad in the fridge and I'm going to buy califlower and brocelli (sp?) I might steam that or just eat it raw with a sandwich instead of potato chips! I'm also going to go for a walk tonight

I'm hoping to get DH's car cleaned up this weekend and I'm setting my Sunday goal to get to the Y to walk and do upper body strenght training.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Default Good Morning!

Hello Ladies!!!
I have been MIA for so long that probably some of you don't even know me! ha
But, I just got back from a wonderful TOPS Retreat at Lake Charles, LA. It was wonderful. The weather was nice (where we were) the facility was beautiful, and the people were the BEST!. There were about 65 TOPS members attending. There were tense times as a lot of them were from Southern LA. and though there was much concern about Ivan, I think everyone had a good time.
IF you have not been to a TOPS retreat, you really should put that on you to-do list. You learn soooo much and come away with such a feeling of determination to get your eating plan back on track! I just can't say enough about the encouragement you receive. And you CAN lose weight on the exchange diet, you are not deprived! and it is so healthy for you. You are taught how to change you eating and enjoy it. Sorry about getting on my soap box!
Penny, thanks for the card...I will write you later. I had a wonderful time in your beautiful state!
Eleni, how are you doing?
Don't have time to address the rest of you personally, but I'm thinking about you all and I will be back later.

Wanda
