Good Morning!

  • How are you all today? I thought I would get this started early as I have about a billion things to do today. I am trying to get all the woodwork painted in my house so I can get carpet laid!
    And we are going to the lake this afternoon. I have a hard time keeping up with things at both places when we are at the lake about 3 or 4 days a week! But, I will not stay away, I would rather be there than here. And much sooner than I am ready for it to be, it will be time to close it up for the winter.

    Eleni, I am so glad you are home and hopefully taking care of yourself. Let others do for you, it's your turn. I know how hard it is to just do nothing, but for a while..Just Do It!

    Penny, How are you? How is school going for that big boy?

    Everyone else who ask about me...you now know where I have been! But as the saying goes " I will be back!"

    I am doing terrible trying to stay OP. I am still in leaway...but it is hard! Keep me in your prayers, and give me a good swift kick in the wazoo in your thoughts!

  • Mickey It is a struggle for everyone to stay op but I don't think people realize how hard it is for KOPS. Members often expect too much from our KOPS and think the battle is over once KOPS status has been met. That is far from the truth. KOPS struggle just as much if not more once goal has been met. Just do your best and try to remember your struggle to get where you are. My sister is now a KOP and I watch her worrying about it all the time. Just try not to stress about it too much.
    I am up early this morning. I can always take a nap later. So far I am maintaing my weight. I need to lose but it will be almost impossible as inactive as I am .So my goal is to not gain which at this point is also important. So I am working on an eating plan for now. Because of blood thinner I am on I have to stay away from some foods. But I take it one day at a time. Hope you all have a good day

  • Hi Everyone,
    I hope everyone is doing well this morning.

    I had a good doctor's vist yesterday. I was down 7 lbs from 3 months ago. My blood pressure was 120/80 and the blood work will be back today. I'm anticipating good things.

    Last night my workout partner and I decided to up our weights by 5 lbs. My body is really feeling that increase this morning.

    That got me to thinking. You know sometimes we get to the end of the month and we might have only lost 5 lbs. We think "only". Well it's a big deal. If you don't think that it is, for one day, carry around a 5 lb bag of potatoes with you all day, then the next day notice how much lighter you feel and how much easier it is to get around without that extra five lbs.

    Just something to think about.

    Susie, you are so right on the weight thing. Some people say I only lost a pound, but look at a pound of butter.
    Good job on the weights. Muscle burns more calories.

    me- I went through and marked all my food with points. I surely haven't been getting enough in. I also notice, i seem to be retaining water. Not sure if someone can only retain water on one leg, but looks like it. I need to go to the chiropractor.

    I am here and doing great with plan. Only have a min so can't address everyone. I have so much to say but having a hard time staying awake lately. It is effecting my job again being so tired. I started working out at that gym monday. I love it. I plan on going mon, tue, thur & friday that way I can give my body a break on wed and the weekend and spend time with jesse on wed. I miss that a lot but I need the time for me also. Can't workout and go see him to. I have missed everyone. I am exhausted been getting up at 4:30am and not getting to bed until late. I need to get caught up on sleep. It is hard getting all 3 kids ready alone and getting here on time. Next week should be better plus I am dropping them all off at different places in the morning before work to.

    Just wanted to let you know I am doing well just haven't been able to get online. I love working out and when they weighed me in on monday I was actually down 9 lbs from my scale. Weighed in at 191 so that made me really happy and I got measured so I have something to go by when I start losing.
    Oh ya I also learned how to do the hoola hoop yesterday at the gym the owner taught me. I love it.
