Talking Thrilling Thursday

Good Day to Everyone! I am flying high today. Really..okay..maybe not. But it is nice to be here. I made eggs in a hole for breakfast with pinapple. (Melt some butter in a skillet, take a piece of whole grain bread and take out the middle and place it in the skillet once the butter melts, break the egg in the middle, once it sets flip it over to toast the other side. My kids love it!)

Once I nurse the baby down for his nap I will do my quick pilates for dummies dvd, and then after lunch I think that I will take the children for a walk over to the library park if it isn't raining. Until then....housework calls!

Cheerio Everyone!

Hello Everyone,

Not much going on here. I got in my walk this morning before the rain. I'm getting back on track again. I've been giving myself a good talking to. I want to get some of this weight OFF!

Jenni....It's good to have you posting regularly. Congratulations on your loss this week and you're doing great with the exercises. The egg in a hole sounds good. I have made it a few times, but that was a long time ago and I'm glad that you mentioned it. I may make it for breakfast tomorrow.

Penny...I hope you are feeling better by now. It's been years since I had TOM but I can remember them and be thankful that I don't have to go thru that anymore. And congratulations on your 6# loss this month. You are doing great.

Sherri... Hope you are doing well today. I guess that little guy of yours is growing, so I wouldn't worry about a gain. Some of it is probably fluids, too.

Eleni.... at weigh in tonight.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Nita

Jenni,

You are a breath of fresh air on here. You are doing great and I love your attitude. Keep up the great work. Did you get to take the kids for that walk? Keep up the excercise. I tried the Pilates tape before and didn't like it. But I just ordered another one. It is called Windsor Pilates. I am hoping it will be easier to do then the other tape. I want to start using it after I heal enough from the C Section. I found the other pilates tape I had was too much like yoga and I couldn't get into the positions because of my size.
I don't mind you asking about the complications from the pregnancy. I was diagnosed with Fibromylagia about 4-5 years ago. It is a disease that affects your muscles. It is something I will have for the rest of my life. Was having problems like only once a year with my hips going out then would go to PT for a week or so and it would be better. With me exercise always made it stay pretty much away. But since the pregnancy and my breathing from the Asthma I have I wasn't able to excercise. So as I got bigger and my hips started to spread like normal my hips were going out on me like 1-2 times a week and I would have to have them put back in. They would go out in two to three different ways at once. So it is difficult to put back in. Then it got to the point where my pelvis was too far away from the surface to put it back in place. Since I stopped work and stopped climbing the stairs there my hips have only gone out twice since the beginnning of feb. So it is better. But with the fibro you get spasms and when they hit I can't step on my foot to walk. You are not warned ahead of time when that happens. When I go out now I bring my crutches and use them for support because walking makes me very sore and hard to walk. I feel stupid when people say what happened? I say nothing just using them for support. But I have to at this point. When I go to walmart or Kmart I am using the motorized carts so that I can get around the store and not be in pain and afraid I will have a spasm and not be able to walk. The spasms pass quickly thank god but they are painful. The other part is I have gestational diabetes which got very bad and I am on insulin for that 4 times a day. It is going very low where I go into like a sugar fit I call it where I get really hot and start to sweat and shake and get light headed. I have been eating a candy bar when this happens when I am out. Then when I eat the sugar goes high. So not sure what is happening with that. So that is about it. It really isn't a big deal just a pain in the butt (literally).LOL Can't wait to get healed from the C section and hopefully not have pain anymore.

Nita,

You are doing great with your walking to. It is great that you have that buddy to keep you going. Congrats on getting back on track as well. I know it wasn't easy but you are doing it. I am going to talk to the sugar dr. tomorrow when I check in and see what else besides a candy bar I can use to boost my sugar when it hits so low. I am sure with all the choc. I have been eating that is one reason I am gaining plus you are right I have swelling and fluid and Jesse is getting bigger.

As for me I went for my non stress test yesterday and it came out great. I went for my dr. visit today. Didn't schedule the section yet because the girl that does that wasn't there. He said we are looking at the last week in april so we will see. I started having the brackston hicks yesterday. Was having it when they did the test. Didn't realize that is what it was. Never experienced that with my first one. He said I looked great. I felt so much better today then I did 2 weeks ago when I went. I am getting more energy now. Today I was real tired. But haven't taken a nap or gone back to bed all week and we have had ben. Got wiped out today because I went to 2 stores and carried him in until I could get a cart. Ben weighs 23 lbs and add that to Jesse and it is a load. Totally wiped me out. That is one of the reasons I try not to go anywhere with him when we are alone.
I got my hair permed last night. My mom did it for me. I all of a sudden decided I wanted a different look. It didn't take like it should because of my hormones I guess but it is perfect for me. I really like it and it feels great to do something for me.

Well I have written a book. Eleni how was weigh in tonight. I am going to try and go all this week with no candy or junk food. I did have another gain this time for my appt. I am up to 218 lbs on my scale so I have to be very careful.

Talk to you all tomorrow. Have a great night.

Sherri

Hi Sherri,

Wow; you certainly have a lot going on. I hope that your cesarean goes smoothly. I realize that you will have a different recovery because of this. Have you had a cesarean before? Do you have help postpartum so that you can rest and heal? I hope so. I don't have any first hand knowledge with your condition; however, my husband has rhuematoid arthritis..so I know that debilatating illnesses such as those can be quite difficult.
And yes..did take the children out for a walk; however, we walked to the bank, and then when we were done there we noticed the sky looked like stormy weather. Sooooo mad rush to walk home so that I would not get caught in the rain with the littles. Ack. What a mess that would be..though..I think that they would probably enjoy it, LOL.
I have heard of Winsor pilates. I just have "pilates for dummies"...very basic, but it works for now. I also have a pilates for pregnancy that I won online; however, it is so funny to watch, because it is from new zealand and I love her accent. I haven't had a chance to test it out during pregnancy..only have had it for a few months. I am *hoping* that I get very healthy before we are blessed with any more children. That way, it will be a better starting point, you know? But..only God knows what will happen.
You are nearing the home stretch..you go girl!

Nita..that is great that you got your walk in; now that is prioritizing. I bet you felt so much better, afterwords. And then..you can sit and relax and enjoy the sound and sight of the rain, knowing that you got your activity in. If you make the egg in the hold..hope you like it. My kiddos have already put in requests for tomorrow..saying that Daddy just has to try it, etc. LOL. They are so cute.

Tomorrow hubby and I are making an afternoon date. I am going to be crunched for time but I am going to move hills to get my treadmill in beforehand because I know that I will feel so much better and more able to enjoy the date. LOL.

Later all,

So Glad your stress test came out alright! Are the bx hicks making you excited??? It always means the end is near! Make sure I get the hospital number so I can call you!

You are in the home stretch. DON"T stress over the gain. This is where you are going to gain and you have done wonderful! As long as you eat as you should, you know that you are doing right!!!!

Nita,
I am so glad you are getting back on track. The longer we are off the longer it will take to get the weight off! I was off for four days and so glad I got back on track.
If you need anything let me know!!!!!

Eleni,
