Thumbs down

Good morning.I did not plan on getting up so early but my wonderful husband lost his glasses and I got up to help.Since I was up I stayed up.
We did our walk again last night.I have changed my plan of attack.I was trying to walk faster which is not the way to go for me.Now I am consentrating on distance.The tape player I made walking tapes for has really helped.I tried to get same pace on them but it turned out to be a mix.Which is actually helping.It gives me time to recoup as I am walking.Taking a drink each time I go around circle helps too.{I put bottle in bed of truck and stop and get a drink as I go by.That way I don't have to carry it}
I hope to have a lose tomorrow.
Getting sick gave me an extra week vacation but I am really to start back to work.It is scary doing something you have never done but hopefully I will like it.
Summer I sent you a private message so please check it.
SRD {State Recognition Day }Is next month. My husband usually goes with me and we go the day before and leave day after.I have had a bed and breakfast reserved for a year so he would have a comfortable place to stay while I am at convention. Now with new job I may not be able to get 3rd day off.Hate to ask for time off right away. Will see how it works out.
Gotta go.I picked up big box of TOPS stuff I have to seperate and give to different people on Thursday.
Hope everyone has a great day

Default daily

I've noticed that I don't get all my calories in, or veggies
so I'm going to work on a new daily (weekly) not sure yet, sheet that shows exchanges (by the food pyamid). Try this and see if it helps me get everything in.
Yesterday was good for the most part. My son acting 2. Took him to a play group. That helped him for a while. Helped me also. I go to the doctor today, haven't driven this far since I had my first surgery in Dec. Couldn't get anyone to go with me.
Should be interesting.

Hi Everyone! I am so excited! My cousin (who is one of my dearest friend also Hunter's godmother) Had her little baby girl at 12:10 am. She was I think 8lbs. 10oz. but not sure. They called at 10 till 1 so I was out of it! Sorry I just had to get my mind off food so I figured I would start with that first. I am so excited. Now she has 2 girls and I have 2 boys

Well, I am so very very proud of you Eleni! You are doing great! I have still not remailed your pin I am so so so so sorry. I have been so busy and I go back to work tomorrow so hopefully I can run to the post office tomorrow. But you are doing so awemose. All this walking I am sure you will come in with a loss!!!!

Wendy I dont get all or hardly close to the amount of veggies I am suppose to in a day or week. And I know I need to. I hope you can! Good luck

Well, My scale (which I know I should not weigh everyday I know I know) has been up everyday but this morning I got on and it was finally down. Thank goodness! I am not going to get on again until after my TOPS meeting tomorrow night! Take care everyone! I am off to the hospital to see the baby!

Default I am Still Here

Good Morning everyone,

I am sorry I haven't been around much. It is busy at work and at home we are trying to get our house ready to sell. My husband still hasn't heard about the job he had the interview for so that is a tough waiting game. I had computer problems at home too and finally have those fixed. I probably won't be here a lot for the next few weeks but I will check in and I do read everyday even if I don't post. I am hoping by the end of the month I will be able to start posting regularly again.

Eleni......I was sorry to hear you had food poisoning. I have only had it once and it was awful. Glad to hear they were understanding at your new job. You are doing great with the walking. I think distance is important too and I wouldn't push the speed. Keep it up.

Wendy....welcome. I don't eat as many veggies as I should either. I can get lots of fruit in but the veggies are a little tougher.

Penny.....congrats on your cousin's little girl....that's good news. I weigh everyday, too, even tho I know I shouldn't. The one thing I find about weighing everyday is I understand the fluctuations. I don't get down on myself if there is a gain because I know I didn't "really" gain but it was something I ate or just the body.

I guess I better get going and start working. I have my meeting tonight so will check in tomorrow and let you know how I did. Hope everyone has a great day.

Morning all! It's a beautiful day here on the west coast. I have some running around to do today so that is a good thing and I have yoga tonight so it should not be too difficult to stay on track today.

Eleni -you are so good to keep up the walking. That is great. I use my treadmill because I don't want to go out in public and do it. I am up from 10 min to 15 min tho' so that is something but I do it at a fairly slow pace - 2.5 miles per hour. It's more to exercise my legs than to do anything aerobic at this stage of the game.

Dimples - I hope you hear soon about your move. The first time we bought a house I had to wait about 3 weeks to see if we got the mortgage or not. I had to hang around the house for the phone call and in that time I gained 20#. That was the worst I ever did. That was years ago and I haven't stopped eating since. <g>

I hope everyone has a good day and stays on their programmes. Journal and drink lots of water.......later.........

Donna-It just goes to show that it is all in how you look at things.I couldn't help but smile when you said you walked at a slow 2.5mph.The most I can do on my treadmill is 2.0 tops and I am struggling to keep up. But when I first started I could only do 2 or 3 minutes. The treadmill is harder than walking at beach for some reason.I think because I am unsteady on it and tend to hand on rails.
Dimples Iwill also not be here as much once I start work. Some times there are not enough hours in the day
Oh Before I forget. My e-mail server is not working so if you have e-mailed me and I have not responded it is because I can't get my mail yet.
I also weigh everyday and sometimes several times a day.I know it is not what we are suppose to do but it is what I have to do
Penny Congrats on new neice.A new baby is always exciting

Hello I am hoping to be back to the groups now. I got a new job today. I will be working 6am to 3 pm and it is a big move for me. I will be much happier. I am going to be able to spend more time with my kids now. They are so happy also. My husband is being a butt head and complaining about the hours. I want to wring his little neck. I hope everyone is doing OK and losing bunches of weight because I have gained weight in the last 2 weeks. Well I will check in later and see how everyone is doing. Take care.

Hello everyone,
I am glad to hear others have a hard time getting the right amounts of exchanges in. I have a problem with starches. I get all vegetables, and fruits, really everyting except starches.

I also have a problem with water. But I have been filling a bottle with the 64 oz. I should drink in the fridge every morning and I try to drink half before lunch. I get busy in the afternoon and evening and forget to go for a sip, but try to get it all in before bedtime. I can tell a difference with my weight when I do drink it all.

I just got off the treadmill, Two miles is tops for me lately. I probably could do more, just don't take the time!
I missed several days due to a virus or something.

Eleni, I'm getting anxious to go to out SRD which will be in April. There are 16 from our chapter going. I have gone every year for about 10 years. Went to IRD last year, but don't thnk I'll make it in Seattle this year.

I hope you are all having a good week.
Mickey
