Default Rise and Shine

Good moring ladies, hope all is well with you all. Not much happening here. Hubby up north kayaking, and the little guy and myself, went to a birthday party yesterday. It was fun. He has been doing good with the minding thing lately. He didn't want to go home last night, but went anyway. Today it's a trip to the in laws. They are having tacos. I've gotta keep it low fat, so i'm taking the wow chips, and no salsa, onions, or tomatoes because of the tummy thing. I'm drinking coffee though. That was a no no, but a friend gave me some samples of the little purple pill, and it's helping. I did have some cheese, and salsa dip yesterday, and paid for it. Doesn't seem to matter what i eat, even the lowfat hot dogs, and cake didn't seem to agree with me yesterday. I would rather of the doctor told me no junk food, cake, cookies, ice-cream, instead of no onion, and salsa. I had hot dogs, without the buns, because, to me, a hot dog with no onions doesn't need a bun. Ya know. Today while we wait for hubby to get home and going to the in-laws, i'm going to do some cleaning. I've got some other stuff to get done too.
Summer have fun. You deserve it.
I hope all is doing well. I really don't have much to say here right now.
But not sure if I told you all, Thanks for your prayers on the Job thing. I got it.
I'm not sure when I will start, cuz they have to replace me from another shift. It's still hush hush at work. No one at work knows yet, because the manager that has to let everyone know had friday off. I told my sister yesterday, she was happy for me. I will have my own desk. After 18 years yeah. I will be working with customers, and customer service representives, and new customers coming in. I'm normally a pleasant person, and can handle working by myself. I can't wait. However, the guy that is training me, talks really low, and fast. I'm sure I will be saying could you repeat that please, often. I think a lot of the training will be doing myself, with books, and cd's. Anyone got expierence in embedding fonts, quark, pdf files, ect. Hubby and I definately have some changes to do, because i could be working late. It's 9 to 5. But i have flex time to help with doctors appointments. I also have to work 45 hours a week. I hoping this will change my outlook on myself, and the company. I've been blaming everyone else for not getting positions that I've applied for in the past, but I guess i really didn't put forth a good enough effort. I really don't want to let myself down, or my manager. I will be towing the line. Ok, I found more to talk about than i thought.
You all take care. Watch what you eat. If there is something you are slacking in, like me and the exercise, take it one step at a time.
take care and i'll check on you later

Good Sunday Morning Everyone,

Tammy, it's good to have you back again and congrats on your new job. Like Eleni...when I see 'snowbirds', I automatically think of our winter residents. But I knew it had to have something to do with precision flying when I saw your avatar. I checked out the site and you do look great.

Summer...Hope you have a great trip, and get some well earned relaxation. DH and I looked up a lot of older relatives a few years back when we were doing our family tree. I'm really glad that we did. I learned a lot that I never knew and even found my half brothers and sister, who live just 2 hours away from me. Have fun and enjoy yourself.

Coco...How was your son's banquet last night? I'm sure that you had a good time. I think the diabetic diet should be okay for your hubby. It's like the exchange diet that is in "The Choice is Yours". I was on it for about a year. DH got diabetic counseling also and they counted his carbs. He was allowed so many per meal and we did not buy anything special--like the whole wheat products. The dietician told him to read the labels and count each 15 grams of carbs as 1 carb serving. He didn't stick to it very long, but if he had, I know that it would have helped him.

Wendy...Congratulations on your new job. Hope you will feel better soon.

Sherri.....Sounds like Megan is getting to be a good player. Enjoy her games and the time with her. They grow up so fast.

Wanda...You're doing good. Those last few pounds are the hardest to get off. Keep hanging in there. Every little bit adds up.

I hope that everyone has a nice, relaxing Sunday.

BTW...I did have a loss this week. Makes 15 weeks in the black.

Nita

Default Chilly Sunday

Good Afternoon Ladies
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Not much happening here. Hubby and son are taking a nap. So thought I would get on here. And see how everyone was doing.

FLGAL The banquet went well. They had a real nice dinner. I didnt go back for seconds. The girls that prepared the meal served us. They used the school lunch trays. Everyone got a scoop of mash potatoes, a spoon of green beans, a spoon of salad, a piece of chicken with a little bit of dressing rolled up in it, and a small piece of cake. Then the rolls were on the table. You could have seconds but you had to go to the kitchen and get it. They usually have a buffet style type dinner in the one room. But I was glad they did it the way they did. I would have liked to get some more chicken. Son got a certificate. He and a couple of other boys helped fix up a room at school.

WENDY Great on the new job. You will do great.

FLATLANDER You look good. You will get the last 10 lbs off.

SUMMER You have great time on your trip.

SHERRI How are you. Did you get your contacts yet? Sounds as if Meagan loves playing ball. That is wonderful.

To everyone else I am thinking of you. I hope everyone has a great day. Will check in later.
A TOPS PAL
