The following is a copy of an e-mail that I received from my area captain. I thought some of you may be interested in watching.
"Please tell your chapter members about this so we can all watch it. This girl's success story was featured in the April 2003 TOPS News on page 10. TOPS is getting national recognition. There will be a story soon in the Lakeland Ledger about our state king and our state king runner-up. Be watching for it.
Mark the date and set your VCRs! We finally have an airdate for the Montel Williams show. The show includes Contest Winner Debbie Yarham and was taped in March in New York City. The show will air April 24.
Check your local television listings to see what station and time the Montel show is on in your market, or you can access the Montel website (
www.montelshow.com) and click on the selection "Where to Watch" to find out where it airs in your area.
The show taping went very well and the airing will include TOPS'
website and 800 number on the screen -- yeah!
Since we have ten days until the airing, now would be a terrific time to find out what channel the show airs on in your area and then contact the newsroom for that television station to let them know that a local organization has a tie-in to the Montel Show episode of the day. Maybe you'll garner some television time for one of your local success stories! One word of caution, however: current events can pre-empt television broadcasts even at this late date. There is the possibility that some breaking news story could postpone the show.
