Default Happy Easter

Good morning everyone: I couldn't sleep so i thought i would start this. It's about 5:30 and the birds are singing. It sounds beautiful. Then in the other ear, i have dhubby, snoring. Our bed hurts his back, so more time than not he is on the couch. The little guy is sleeping, got sunburnt yesterday playing with the little boy down the road. First time he has had that. Usually have a hat on him, I forgot it. I hope everyone has a pleasent Easter. Nita, you are doing awesome girl. You have the right everything going on right now. For a boost of motivation could you let me know what you are doing. I just seem like i'm getting in a rut. The last 2 weeks, i just don't feel like keeping my journal, or watching the food i'm eating. 95% of it is probably stress, of some sort. Not much more going on here. It's suppose to rain today. Well I think I will get some Tops stuff done, and exercise. I need a good 3 hours between now and weigh in time.
Eleni-you hang in there. I know that challenges have a tendency to work for me.
Srd is coming soon, i would like some more weight off. Well later ladies, God bless you, happy easter, and i'm thinking of you all to reach your goal.

Happy Easter

Easter is one holiday where the true meaning is really a blessing to us. Hope you all have a joyful Easter.

Wendy....I invested in a program that was for my computer and my palm pilot that I log everything that I eat into and I don't go over 1470 calories a day. It started out around 1800, but as I lose weight it has adjusted the caloric intake. The program cost $69+, but my DH said he would do it too, but he hasn't. I thought it would be worth it for him to lose some weight. It has been worth the money for me. It already has the food and even some restaurants calorie charts in it. So all you have to do is put in the amount you eat and it adds it all up. It also keeps records of exercise and everything that is on all the food labels. So you can tell if you are getting too much fat, cholesterol, sodium, etc. or if you need more vitamin A or C, iron or calcium. I was told last year that I had osteoporsis and needed to take calcium supplements. Now I can see that I really don't get much calcium in my diet. I need about 2 calcium tablets a day to get enough. I took my palm pilot to SRD with me and kept logging in everything I ate. I got around 1600 calories those 2 days, but I cut back the rest of the week to make up for it.
I started out wanting to stay in the black for one whole month, then the next month I wanted to stay in the black for the whole month, now I have 11 weeks and I want to get 13 weeks in. Make small goals for yourself and they will add up. Sometimes we want to see a big weight loss, but I think that if we set our goal to just losing something and then next week, set our goal again to just having a loss, we will do better and not be so disappointed if we don't have a large loss.
Well.....I feel like I have written a book, but this is what is helping me. I just hope that I don't lose my motivation. I have been in TOPS for 8 years and haven't reached my goal. I lose a lot, then I lose my motivation and gain some back.

Have a good day everyone.

Nita
