Hi Everyone,

Coco, it's great that you stayed the same this week. Now that you are back posting, you'll get back on track and I know that you will have a loss next week.

Wanda...Have fun on your trip to SRD. Let us know how it was when you get back. Ours is April 11, and 12th.

Wendy, how did your installation go last Monday? Hope everything is well with you.

Bev..I'm all for the reward system for losing weight. And it sounds like you are making good choices for your rewards. I usually buy something new to wear for my rewards.

Summer...Thanks for the kind words. I recommend what I am doing to everyone. And that is.....Keeping a food journal and staying within my calorie limits. I bought a CD in December for my computer, called "Balance Log" and I have been faithful in logging all my food and exercise into it. I set the program up to lose a pound a week. And it will work as long as I stay with it. Now TOPS has come out with the same type of program and it can be ordered from the TOPS site and is cheaper than mine too.
Hope you were able to do your exercise yesterday. Have you thought about doing arm chair exercises. That would take the pressure off your knee and you can get a good workout sitting down.

Joy and PNG its good to have you posting with us. Beth, Linlin, Nancy, Sherri, Liz, and I know there are others that I missed, hope you all have a great day.

I've got to go mow the grass.

Nita

Good day everyone

I managed to lose 1 lb las night. I was happy with that. We are doing our awards for the year next week. Our leader told me to make sure I am there because I am getting a special award. I will let you know what it is next week.

Both kids have been very sick. We were at the Dr today. They both have to go see an ear specialist. Too many ear infections. they both are petite and the fluid can't drain from their ears. The youngest will probably have to get tubes. Consequently, there has been no sleep in our house for the last 2 nights. It hard to go to work on no sleep.

Will work towards another loss next week.

Have a good day everyone.

Hello to all...

We had our Installation of Officers last night, along with a pot-luck supper. It's not strictly pot luck, as we do have people sign up for the category of food they are bringing...main dish, salad, vegetables etc. We have everyone bring their own beverage, and as good TOPS members should, allowed only ONE dessert (a carrot cake) LOL. We had 15 members there, which was good as we usually have 8-10 in attendance at any one meeting.

The sad thing is that we had 2 division winners to give awards to, and one didn't show up. She uses TOPS for weigh-ins only (doesn't stay) and thinks our meetings are a waste of time. She says she would rather go for a walk. So last year she lost about 35 pounds, and this year she has put 15 of them back on. Then she missed renewing her registration a few weeks ago, so she is no longer a member. We were willing to celebrate her loss of last year anyway, and give her a Division Winner charm last night, but she didn't show.

I am "retired" from the executive....have no specific job in the Chapter. Does that ever feel good. I went for most of last year without a co-leader, so found it very difficult! We also had a secretary and weight recorder quit in the middle of the year.

Te installation we used last night was "Rainbow of Inspiration" and I did a bit of decorating along the theme. I thought it went very well.

I am renewing my dedication to losing weight this spring with a 6 week contract (a la Oprah) of exercising daily, keeping and turning in a food diary, not eating after 7:30 pm and no alcohol. I hope it works!!!!

Good luck to all today. Keep on keeping on and we will be successful.

I like Nita's icons for every pound lost idea!

Hello All!
Have not had time to post in a few days. Seems like everyone is doing well. I am enjoying some nice weather. But I am afraid it is is not going to stay this way.

I weigh in tommorrow and I am hoping for a loss. I think I did well this week. I had a wedding reception and threw me off some but there was dancing and that helped.

Linlin both kids were sick here to. I guess its that time of the year. My 4 month old nephew is in the hospital to with bronchitis. Hoping my dk's did not get him sick when we visited last week. He should be home soon.

Liz your program sounds like it was really nice. I wish we would have a few food events!

Well I have to run. Hope all is doing well! Keep up the good work!

Beth
