Looks like it is going to be a bright sunshiney day.

Summer......hope your dd had a happy birthday. I'm sure she enjoyed the cake and gifts. I think we brought back the cold weather from Las Vegas with us. It's been cold here since then. Not like it is in the mountains, but jacket weather. I used to live in the mountains, too. I'm from WV.

Eleni.....Congratulations on the loss. You did great.

I checked on our January weigh-ins, and we have a net loss of 10.5 lbs. so far this month. Our on line group is doing well. Keep up the good work ladies.

Our TOPS open house yesterday was a hugh success. We only got one new member, but we had 11 guests plus the 2 speakers. Our FL state queens for 2001 and 2000, both came. They work as a team. And Eleni, if you ever get a chance to have them at your meeting, they are great! Everyone enjoyed hearing them. People called me at home last night to tell me how much they enjoyed it. Most of the women dressed up in Muumuus or Hawaiian shirts and everyone had a lei. All the members wanted to pitch in and do something, so we had enough food to make it a lunch instead of just refreshments. We have a lot of winter visitors right now and they pitched in and helped too. What a great group of people!!

Wendy, Coco, Sherri, Wild Rose, Wanda, tn.mom, Linlin, Nancy and all of you that I missed, hope you are all doing well.

Nice to be back! I hop around from forum to forum. Alternachicks are my home girls, but I also visit BFL and now back to here.
I wish I were in Florida right now. It is bitter cold here, can't even go for a decent walk as the cold takes your breath away. Sunny though, we have had sun for the last three days, a little snow last night but most of yesterday it was sunny. Not supposed to warm up until next week sometime. Thinking about getting some long jonhs, lol! Will have to warm some however, as wer are expecting a snowstorm tomorrow.
Ahhh, I remember lying on Fort Lauderdale beach about 14 years ago. It was so nice. I worked as a nanny for a family in Halifax,NS and they flew me with them to look after their son, what a trip that was. Anyway, I seemed to have lost myself to thoughts of the beach and warmer weather.

Good morning all, It is a chilly day here.. A good day to stay inside where it is warm.
You have often heard me say how my daughter Angel seems to only have bad luck. Well. She left on a 4 day cruise with a group of girls and her first night out she fell and it looks like she has a broke foot. She is in a cast and wheelchair. They want her to go to a Mexican hospital or they say they will not pay bills.She is afraid to go.Ship doc put foot is cast. Needless to say she called me extremely upset. But finally calmed down after hanging up on me and then calling me back. She always panics at first and wants Momma.Then she gets her s--- together and does what she has to do.
Of course it was upsetting for me.But I did not head for food as I would have. So I am still doing ok.
We always have things upsetting us so I want to learn to not stuff my face everytime something happens. And that is a very hard thing to control.
Well I need to go do my exercises and then that will be done for the day. Hope all are doing good. I am a little tired this morning. Bill has kept me awake for nights with his coughing. I may have to take a nap later.

Nita, I'm happy that your Open House went well. Sounded like alot of fun and to have 11 guests show up.........wow! I'm so lucky when 1 comes to ours. It's so nice that all the members wanted to help. Your group sounds caring and helpful. Wish they all were like that. Now, take that positive energy I noted in your post and put in into healthy eating and body movement. Proud of YOU!!!!

Eleni, Um, that is no way for Angel to start a cruise! What a shame! She'll be fine though, just a little hobbled for awhile. Did she go to the dr in Mexico? Good for you for not attacking the food. See, you're in control!!! Now, get the rest you are lacking. You know they say when we are tired, we reach for food to give us more 'energy'. So that's my problem, huh????

Good Evening Ladies
Hope everyone is staying warm. Is kinda cold here. Was 0 this morn. warmed up to about 20. I know some of you ladies are having colder temps then that. We have a little bit of snow on the ground. About 3-4 inches. Say no warm up insight. Hubby is still under the weather. Did take him to the Dr's here awhile back. They gave him some med. He finished it. Now he seems to be getting whatever he had back. So will probably have to take him back to the Dr's Monday.

Well at weigh in this week. I lost 3 1/2 lbs. So now I only have 2 1/2 to go to meet my goal of 3 lb loss for the month. Last week I gained 3. Well ladies you may laugh at this but here goes. I really like Eyeor from Whinnie the Pooh. Well the other day we was out. And they had a Eyeor watch on sale. But I think it was suppose to be a kids watch. But I found one that was suppose to be an adults and it was the same thing. So I bought the watch. It is a little tight. But I bought it as an award. I hid the watch. Hubby was suppose to do it. But didnt. I put it were it will be hard to get too. Anyway. To get the watch I have to lose 50 lbs. Yes that is right. To get my watch I have to lose 50 lbs. So that is my goal. To get my watch. It will take awhile. I know. But it will be worth it in the end.

Well I will have to read all the postings to catch up on everybody. I know I havent been on here for while. But it is cold in our upstairs. And that is were the computer is. My hands are cold now. I have been writing down what I eat everyday. And have been trying not to eat anything after 6:00 or 7:00 pm. If I do feel hungry. I will fix me some sugar free hot cocoa. And that seems to fill the wanting something to eat. Am thinking of all of you. Hope you are staying warm. Staying on program. And rewarding yourself with something besides food. Have a great evening
