Hi everyone, I was so thrilled to find this sight. I would like to introduce myself. I am 36 years old, been married for 16 1/2 years, have 2 daughters (14 and 15), and own my own pet store business, which keeps me very busy and usually very stressed.

I do a combination of programs. Tops meetings, WW123 points for journaling and a lot of Richard Simmons for exercise between walking. It seems to be the right mix for me.

Our chapter of TOPS is GREAT!!!! The right leader can make all the difference I think. Our whole group is very supportive and every week is fun and informative. And I'm glad to see some others using WW123. It's so much easier than counting calories.

We had our meeting tonight. I could've received 2 charms tonight, but I blew it. I did get the one for 12 weeks perfect attendance (joined 12 weeks ago), but I lost the one for 8 weeks of consectutive wt loss. I gained 2.5 pounds, not good. But it's only the 2nd time I've gained in those 12 weeks. Plus my daughter (who is going with me and doing great) had a birthday party on Friday, so I knew it was a bad week. I feel like I need a bad week every so often. I know that sounds strange, but it gets me back on track. I start thinking that things are too easy and then I make bad choices. When I have a gain, it gets me back on track and I get serious again. So we'll see how next week goes.

Along with my duaghter, my mother and sister-in-law come to our meetings also. We usually make a night of it and go by Subway for a sandwich afterwards. Kind of a girls night out.

It is always nice to have new members join us on line. You are very lucky to have a great supportive chapter and all the family to boot!

You're right about how sometimes we have setbacks. It's just tough when we have a hard time getting back on track. Too bad you missed out on the one charm but at least you got the other one for perfect attendance. Weigh to go!!!!! I know you will get many more charms!!!

How long have you been in TOPS? I'm so proud of your daughter for joining. The latest stats that are out there about childhood and teen obeisty is just awful. Unfortunately kids just don't get the activity nowadays like we used to. My 18 yr old always wanted to join me when she was younger, but she knew she had to watch her younger sister. She's a great kid and luckily was able to control her weight with my assistance at home. Tell your daughter 'HI' from a friend on-line and give tell her congratulations on thinking of herself.

Look forward to having you join us here. This is a great, supportive bunch. We all go through our good and tough times, but we persevere.

Welcome to the boards here.Sounds like you are doing great.And it is always nice to hear about young people attending.We have a young boy 13years old that comes with his mother.They are diet buddies to each other.
You will meet some really nice people here.Charms are great.I like them so much I even bid on a necklace and bracelet on e-bay.Am not sure what I will do with them yet.I only wear charms I earn but like looking at these.Visit us often.

I just wanted to say hi. It is great that you have other family members joining you at TOPS.....makes it easier to have diet buddies. Sounds like you have a very supportive chapter as well which really helps. I joined in November and my chapter is very good too.

Welcome to our home away from home. Everyone is so nice here. I hope you feel welcomed enough to keep joining us.

That is great that you got a charm. I have a few. I just joined in november as well as marie. But tops has been very motivating for me. I am organizing an open house and I have 3 possible teens that want to join. So I am hoping for a great turnout. Our open house isn't until april 12th but I am calling everyone I know and telling them about us and I am finding that people are interested. They just never heard of tops before like myself. I never heard of them before I saw an ad in the paper about the meetings. So I called and found out about it. Then I found this site and have been here every day usually since.
That is good that you have a good mix for your plan. It sounds like you are at the point in your life that you are ready to reach your goal no matter what and you know what to do to get there. I am there also. But sometimes like you say I have setback also. I just went through 2 weeks worth of setbacks myself. Now I am in control and feel great. It feels good to get back on track again doesn't it?

Well I hope to get to know you better and stick with us and we will all reach our goals together.
