Talking last day of my work week this week, Yes.

Sherri- you hang in there things will get better. Just remember the old saying, "this too shall pass".
I've read what everyone wrote yesterday, and either it's too early and it didn't register, or i'm just forgetfull.
So i'm going to say, I hope that everyone is doing well, and the icecream doesn't sound half bad.
I had an eating day somewshat yesterday. The worse thing i ate was reg. chips. This is because as sherri would say, Tom is just about to visit, and i'm at the eating stage. However, my scale was down this morning. I'll be back.
ps glad megan is ok.

Default Wed Hump Day

Good Morning Ladies
Well I had to go to the church dinner. I didnt do to bad with the food choices. But I did have some dessert. But a couple of things that I got. I took one bite and fed the rest to hubby.
The eating is doing better. But could still use improvement. I just need to do like Sherri and count the points. I also need to start writing down what I am eating. Yes I may be making better food choices. But I know that I am eating to much of them.

Weigh in was last night. Hubby gained 4 1/2 lbs. I gained 1/4. So it wasnt as bad as I thought. But the way I was eating was unbelieveable. And I cant believe I only gained a 1/4 lb. So hopefully I can be good rest of this week and not have a big gain next week. I would like to get back to doing some of the Sugar Buster stuff. But Boy does that get kinda expensive. I felt better and done a little better with that and counting the points. So I will just try counting points and stay at the low end or middle of the points. And see how I do. I also need to start walking. We finished our 100 miles in 100 days. So when we finished that. I guess I figured I didnt have to walk anymore. But I will either start walking again. Or riding the exercise bike. Well I better get off here. Our AC messed up last night. If froze up. Got it unthawed. Seems to be working so-so. So the guy is coming to look at it tonight. Need to clean the house a little before he comes. Usually brings his wife. I am thinking of all of you. Hoping you all are doing fine. Take care. Will check in later.
A TOPS PAL

It is hot here in Savannah. The heat almost did me in. Carrying around this fat ruins it for me. But we did the trolly tour. One day is enough. We will go to Tybee Island tomorrow. I don't know what we will do on Friday. I wanted to see the fireworks but they said it would be a mad house on the river. I can't just stand around in the heat. They have a scale here but it reads something different every time you get on it. Well I am tired. Time for bed. Hope everyone is ok

Bonjour!

Sorry I haven't posted for a couple of days, we have been very busy. I gained 1/2# last night and I can't understand how, but c'est la guerre (such is war) I will become a KOPS.

We had a fabulous Canada Day Celebration, the kids had a blast. Started off with a town breakfast then to the park and for the fireworks. My DH has had this plan rattling around his little pea brain all year on where to park for the best effect. He was absolutely adamant that we leave early and stake out this one particular spot. So we left early and took the truck. We set everyone up in the box, grownups on lawn chairs and kids on blankets. We had some little contests before the show to keep the kids entertained, who could spot the first star, planet and satellite, who could keep a spoon on their nose the longest etc..When they started shooting them off it was incredible. It was as if each and every one was about to land on top of us. His spot was perfect! Well worth the wait. Even worth the old geezer wandering around 3 days later saying "I told you that spot was perfect, didn't I?" LOL

Yard is coming along but so are the mosquitoes! OOOyyyy, they are bad after the monsoons we have had.

I am getting a little concerned about my old cat. he is 15 or 16 (no one can quite remember) and he is getting rickety, I am taking him to the vet for a check up tomorrow so I hope that goes well.

Well must get crackin'. Hope everyone is having a great week, or at least a better week!

Big hugs to you all

Eleni, if you get a chance, go to St. Simons Island, Georgia. It's about 60 to 70 miles from Savannah. Did you know that there's a tour called Savannah By The Book? By book, I mean Midnight In The Garden Of Good and Evil. Did the tour people also tell you that the movies Forrest Gump, Midnight In The Garden Of Good and Evil and The Legend Of Bagger Vance were filmed there? Flatlander, it sounds like you had a great Canada Day Celebration! It looks like a good Independence Day!

Hey everyone, I wonder if y'all remember me? lol. I know I have been gone for quite a few weeks, and have no really good reason, but wanted to stop in and say Happy 4th! We had a weigh in last night since today is a holiday, and I turtled, so that wasn't too bad. For the past 2 months I have done nothing. Gain a pound, lose a pound. This month will be different!!! My main problem is sweets, not quanity of food. So, yesterday I bought a sugar buster's cookbook, though i know nothing about sugar busters. Anyone out there familiar with it, and can I follow some of their ideas without totally commiting to that type of eating?
wendy, thank you for your PM. It really meant a lot. I just picked it up yesterday. I just haven't been on line for awhile. I hope you and the family are doing well. I haven't gone back to read all the messages, as I need to get ready to go to my sisters for the day, but will try to catch up one of these days soon. Mary ann
