Default Thursday

Hi Ladies
Just thought I would check in. It is suppose to get bad here after bit. We had some rain earlier. But they have a tornado watch out and some flash flooding watches out also. They are until 5:00pm this eve. So I thougth I would check and see how everyone was doing before it got bad. My week so far has been the pits. I am eating what ever I can get my hands on. I will have gained my 3 1/4 lbs back if I dont watch. We have to weigh in on Mon this coming week. They are having a election on Tues. And they use the school were we weigh in at for a place to vote. So we cant have our meeting. So I guess that will mean not eating much of anything the next few days. But it is my own fault. But it is like I have it in my mouth before I relize that I have put it there. I will have to start posting on the menu thread again. That really helped me. And so far this week I havent. So I will start that again.
Hubby still isn't feeling to good. Took him to the Dr's yesterday. Said they heard some stuff in his one lung. So he is on some meds. His back is hurting also. Sometimes the pain will go down his legs. They told him it was just arthritis. And gave him some Vioxx. So I dont know. He has another Dr's appt on Mon. So we will see what happens.
Well since I have bored you all. I will get off here. I hope everyone is having good OP days. I will get back on track. I did get a little exercise today. I pushed mowed part of the yard. The riding mower messed up. And we need to get a new one. But havent been able to yet. So I thought I would mow some. But then it started raining. It has stopped now. But it is just too wet to mow. It was wet earlier. Made it harder to mow. But it needs done. Keeps this up I will be able to mow it and put it up in hay. You ladies take care. Will check in later.
A TOPS PAL

hello. Just have a minute. I lost 2.5# and was thrilled. Our contest ended and I won a $10 gift certificate.
Hope everyone is ok. We will be wrapping up our challenge this week and start another. Gotta go

Hi Eleni, Congratulations on your loss. I also lost 2 1/2 pounds this week. CoCo, so sorry you are having a bad week. there is much stress when a loved one is not feeling well, and food seems to help for the time. Unfortunately, then we have the added stress of not being on plan. Viscious cycle. I hope Hubby gets better soon, and that you will feel more in control soon also. Mary ann

Default speakers

Sherri, i just wanted to thank you for the idea on speakers. We are having someone come from the Health Department to speak, and I just found out that my water aerobics teacher has lost 136 pounds, so am going to see if she will come speak to us about exercise. We are having trouble getting it out into the community that we are here. so i contacted the local K-mart and they have given us permission to have a table outside their store one Saturday. We are going to have a display board, brochures with our meeting place and times, and members to explain to anyone interested. I do ceramics, and have painted 2 lighthouses. We will have a drawing at the end of the time to give the lighthouses away. We aren't selling tickets, just having people fill out a slip when they come to inquire about TOPS. We don't know if this will work, but when we had an open house last year, no one came, so we are going to try this. Anyone have any other ideas of what we can do that Saturday to interest people? I will be wearing my red TOPS lighthouse t-shirt.
Mary ann

Mary Ann Sounds like you have a great idea just as it is. I might mention it to our group. I doubt they will want to. It is hard for working people to give up their Saturday.
I think what you have is plenty. Might have some TOPS News that shows our King and Queen and oyher big losers

Hi Eleni, thanks for the idea of the magazines! I will paste a paper over the address with our times and place we meet and then people can take one home with them to read at their leisure. I am so excited because when I went to water aerobics today, I asked Syvella if she would speak at our TOPS and she said yes, in fact, thanked me for asking. She is the instructor, is still over weight in spite of having lost 155 pounds!!! She will speak on exercise and motivation. I am really looking forward to hearing her speak. Hope you are having a good day.
