Default Masterful Monday

Wow, is it cold here. Really only -22 C but the wind is incredible. Snow is swirling everywhere! I lost sight of my babe walking to the bus stop so I threw my parka on over top my jammies and whiffled out to the sidewalk. Eyeeeee and zowies, what a moronic thing to do! It's gonna take a pot of coffee to warm me up!

How did everyone do over the weekend? I am still integrating SB into my plan and thankfully the Spekulaas (Dutch cookies) are almost gone. I tried but they call me. No matter where I am this little voice says “C’mon, who’s gonna care? Just one baby, just one.” Of course it is always 2 or 3. Damn those uber cookies!

Well, everyone is off to work or school here so I should get back to my housewifery. These weekends destroy my clean environment. But now the house is mine all mine for 5 more days! Happy MLK Day to my American friends!

Have a Masterful Monday one and all!

CC

Talking

I understand what you mean by the house being all yours again. My husband works on tow boats and is gone 14 days at a time. It is amazing how one man- we have no kids- can turn my nicely kept, clean good smelling house into one with clothes on the floor with his shoes in three diff places and so on. I get my house back tomorrow!!!!! So congrats to you today!!

I am waiting to receive an email from the chapter lady as to some info i requested on TOPS and to get my brocheure. I was in TOPS for about 3 years back in the 80's and loved it.

Have a great Monday all!!!!!!

Morning all- glad the weekend is over. I had company for dinner on Sat and they came around 3:00 and stayed over until 3:00 sunday. the fellow doesn't like to drive at night anymore so I had a fair size dinner planned and then we all went out for brunch on sunday morn. More food than I needed. I am so excited about you ladies on the SB diet. You are doing so well. I am going to look for that book in Costco on friday when I go shopping. Is there a special title I should be looking for? I am on the WWW points diet and of course any diet will work if I stick with it. I like my fats and protein but I also like carbs such as bread and pasta, rice, potatoes etc. but I may be able to cut them down quite a bit. I don't like fruit at all but I do like vegetables. I supose that all the foods are in specific portion sizes too??. I am off now to sign up for the treadmill thread.....

Have a good OP day all..........

Donna,

As far as the SB goes with the rice and pasta you can have it but you need to change what you are eating. Like you can have pasta but it has to be whole wheat pasta only. And for the rice it has to be brown rice only. I am getting used to it. Anyone cook that minute brown rice. I have cooked it twice now and both times it is still hard or dried up. I put equal amounts of wate and rice in like you are supposed to. But it still doesn't come out. Also you can have sweet potatoes. But I don't like them so I gave up the potatoes altogether. I am doing the WW pts with it. You can do that to.

I am doing great. I rode the bike at the gym for 3.3 miles and then I used the jacuzzi and the sauna. It was wonderful.

Hey Christie,

Have you ever been to germany? I am knocking at your door do you hear me woman? Let me in, Let me in.

Dodielyn,

Welcome aboard.

CC,

Throw out the cookies that are left. That way you can't be tempted. You are doing great. Don't let a cookie throw you off. Be stronger then the cookie girl. You can do it. THROW THEM AWAY DON'T FINISH THE BOX GIRL!

Talk to you soon.

Sherri

Hi all,

I'm doing OK. Did join the treadmill thread. Don't have one but I will do the stationary bike. Just got done doing 5 miles in just under 25 minutes. Not bad, but I sure can tell I haven't done it for awhile.

Congrats to all that are finding the lower carb way of eating. IT DOES WORK!! I haven't done SB, but I did The Carbohydrate Addicts Lifespan Program and that is how I lost the 25 pounds to regain my KOPS. I KNOW what I should be doing right now, but as in anything, if the mind isn't ready, it won't happen. That is why I am struggling right now. I KNOW how easy the low carb eating can be, the insulin reaction in the body, and the cravings do go away with the higher protein and low carb vegies, but I'm having internal struggles that are blocking the sane thinking that I KNOW is in the old brain. Have you noticed how I'm trying to convince myself out of this rut by saying that I KNOW what to do????? Hopefully I will snap out of it soon.

The bike did feel good and I feel I accomplished something towards my goal. Glad to hear that so many are doing well...the rest of us will get there too.

TOPS Hugs,
Summer

Sorry ladies, I've had a TTEERRRRIIBBLLEE day! I did well at breakfast, but since then I have gone down hill. Too much of the wrong foods and not enough of the right food. All I can say is"Tomorrow is another day!" And I will try, NO, I will do better.

Short of time , just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone and wish you a good day tomorrow!
