Angry Hi

Hi everybody
Hope everyone had a good week. Mine wasn't too bad. Have had a couple of days in which I have had the pickies. So hopefully I will have a loss next week or even if I would stay the same I would be happy.

Mickey asked that I tell a little about myself. Well not much to tell really. I am a homemaker. Been married for 17 years. Have a 16 year old son. Been in TOPS for 3 years. My husband joined 2 years ago. My husband had a Bone Marrow Transplant 6 years ago. He had ALL. A type of leukemia. He is in remission now. But he has alot of side effects from the treatment. My husband only had 24 lbs to lose. He only needs to lose about 10 more and will be to goal. His cholesterol was high. But by dieting it has lowered it some. I on the other hand have ALOT of weight to lose. I need to lose 100 lbs. So I have a long ways to go. Hopefully I will be able to do this. By being in TOPS for 3 years I should be at goal. Not having to start all over. I know we had a lady in our group that lost her KOPS status in Dec. She was a KOPS for 9 years. It is kinda scary. I wonder if I ever do get to goal. Will I be able to keep status. Well I better let you ladies go. You are probably bored with all this. Hope you all have a good weekend.
A TOPS PAL

CoCo,

It is nice to hear about people and where they come from here on the boards. We are all made of different stuff and have such different lives. But yet we all have a common thread weightloss. That is what ties us together. Like it was said by someone here it is nice to get to know the person behind the weightloss. We all have lives and it is nice to get to know each other as true friends.

That is great that you husband is doing so well. It must be nice to have the support of him since he joined tops as well. Does he support you at all? I know I don't get the support from my husband and there are others on here that are in the same boat. But if you are lucky like eleni then you get all the support you need and then some from your husband. I would think it would make a big difference for sure.

You have made the right move by stepping forward and saying you are going to do this. Now just put your mind to it and do what you know is right and you will be a KOPS one day also. Did you used to be a KOPS? I have never been to goal. I to think it will be very hard to maintain. I know how hard it is to just get there. I can't imagine what it is going to be like to actually be there and I know it won't be easy to stay at goal either. It will take just as much hard work to maintain as it did to lose. But we are woman and we can accomplish anything we set our minds to do.

Don't think of it as 100 lbs to lose. Break it up to 5 or 10 lb increments and take baby steps. Then as you complete each goal you will be closer to your goal. It is easier to set your mind to lose 5 or 10 lb then to try and lose the whole 100 lb at once. That is what I do. I have 40 lbs to lose and I am only losing small amounts and concentrating on those. It is hard enough with the small amounts.

Sherri

Have a great day.

Sherri

Coco, you are in exactly the same boat I was in. & mo ago. I joined TOPS and I had 103 lbs to lose. I was scared, ashamed and mostly mad that I had let things get so out of control. So I decided to get tough on myself. I changed everything and I mean everything I was used to doing and it payed off. Early on in my weight loss I started lurking on this board. To shy too post, felt I had nothing to contribute yadada yadada. Then Summer sent out her vibes and I jumped in with both feet. This is a great place to come and commune with like minded souls. This past month has been especially hard for me and I don't know why, just feel restless and bored and I don't know what I would have done with out this board.

Sherri is right on target with taking it 5lbs at a time. 100 lbs is like this huge number. I don't know about you but I don't blow a hundred bucks without thinking about it. $5 is a different story tho. it's panty hose or a salad. No biggie. Take it slow and before you know it you'll be on your way. Then it gets addictive. You feel so darn good you won't want to stop. Then Christie's "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!" becomes very real to you.

Well I have prattled on long enough, my turn to bore you!LOL
