Waterbaby,
Before I forget I wanted to say that all of our contests do not revolve around food at all. I do all the contests and we do give out various prizes and it is great. The first time it revolved around food at all is the contest that is going now. And I know that since I have not been there in 4 weeks that no one has kept track of the contest that I was doing. Which makes me mad but that is the way it goes. For this contest it was a travel game and no one knew the destination. We had to earn mileage with the weight we lost. For every lb lost or gained you would move forward or backward to get to the 6000 miles. The destination is Hawaii. I called the 800# for information there and they sent me a catalog and some brochures of all of hawaii. Then I am putting in 2 lays and a bottle of Maui Tropical Snaaps, and a pinapple and 2 glasses for the drinks. Then when they open the box they can see where they are going to. They can take a tour of Hawaii by looking through the brochures and the color catalog. I thought it was a neat idea and no one knows but me of the destination. I thought that would make it more interesting and exciting for people to motivate them. The winner would have lost 10 lbs by the time the contest is over.
But I do all sorts of contest giving people points for doing different things. They can have a partner or not. We have done it both ways. The points would be for exercising, attending a meeting, losing weight, you would lose points for gaining weight. Things like that. We would do it for 4 weeks and the person or team that had the most points at the end of the 4 weeks would win. We would give them a small prize or sometimes pay their dues for the month. But we never give out food for prizes though. I think that would defeat the purpose of it. But with the pinapple I thought it is a fruit so that would be okay. I know the liquor isn't good but they will enjoy it and it has the name of one of the islands of hawaii in the name so I couldn't refuse plus it is great with orange juice.
Eleni,
I am so glad that you had a great time with the family. I think that you have deserved to have your kids cook for you. I think that is a great idea. You could rotate houses every year of all the kids and each one would get a chance to host. Then you would stay home for thanksgiving. It would make it much easier on you with the food and all left over. This way there is no leftovers.
You have a great time at your party today at the resteraunt. I am sure you will.
Summer,
How are you making it through? I have faith in you. I will be talking to you real soon lady. Are you waiting to?
Penny,
