Sunday
Hey Ladies,
Well the weekend is officially over now. It is 9:00pm here and no one has started a thread today so I thought I would even though it is late.
CC,
I wanted you to know that I did a total of 150 crunches yesterday and today I did 300. I did 100 on each side of the crossover ones and then 50 straight up ones and 50 with my feet in the air. It wasn't easy but I did it. Hopefully it will help. I also walked longer today about 5 miles total. I started from my house today instead of my sisters house which gives me 2 extra miles. I can use it to burn off the junk I had yesterday. Today I did good with the exception of 3 cookies. But I had pancakes for breakfast then went walking to try and burn them off. Then I had some pinapple and an orange for lunch and 2 large cans of veggies corn and beets and only 4 oz of pork and 1/2 cup of mashed potatoes. I figured I would cut back on the starch even though I had a starchy veggie. But I figured that the starchy veggie was better for me then the potatoes with the milk and butter. So I am trying to get back on track. I have never had that many veggies in one meal before. But it really filled me I have to say. So we will see. I am going to try and keep it up along with all the exercise and hopefully I can pull off another loss this week.
Myne,
You can search the web for recipes. Also try typing in the diabetic diet recipes and see if it brings up anything. I count the points but lately I am just trying to get in more fruits and veggies and not worrying about the points. I will see if this method works.
Nita,
It is cold for me too here in upstate NY. But lately it hasn't been bad at all. This morning I was walking with only my light jacket and I did wear the earmuffs because of the wind but ended up taking them off because I was too hot. I hate the cold and I am so proud of me for going back out there day after day. I try to walk every day and so far have done pretty good at it. But I really bundle up with my winter coat a scarf with a hood and my hood of my jacket and leg warmers under my jeans to keep my legs warm and earmuffs to. So with all that on I don't get cold. I am surprised that after walking awhile I start to sweat and it doesn't seem cold out at all even when it is only 40. So that is a good thing for me. But walking those hills going straight up really gets your blood flowing and makes you break a sweat. I did great today. I only had to use my inhaler once before I left this morning and I have been having to use it 3 times during the walk. So I am getting better. But I still have to stop 1/2 way up the hills to catch my breathe.LOL
Have a great day everyone and tomorrow is a new day to start again.
