Default Terrific Tuesday

Hi Everyone

Thanks Christie and Sherri for the birthday wishes. Needless to say, I overate yesterday. We ate out at a nice seafood restaurant and then had cheesecake at home. Cheesecake was 440 calories per slice, but delicious. Today and tomorrow, I'm going to eat mostly vegetables and get more exercise. With a birthday and Thanksgiving both the same week, I don't have much hope for a weight loss, Friday.

Hope you all have a good day.

Nita

Nita, Happy Belated Birthday!!
I think birthday calories should NOT count. Glad you had a good one though, sometimes you just gotta say "what the heck!"

Christie and Sherri, congrats on the new positions, I hope they are everything you are looking for.

Still no job for me on the horizon, sigh.

Well brace yourselves for a blast of {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{vibes}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}.
.

I must admit I am hooked on the idea that we are metaphysically helping each other throughout the day. So more

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{vibes}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}. .
coming your way,
Have the BEST day possible!

I have weigh in tonight and I think I will have a loss. Yay! 4 more lbs I will only be "Moderately overweight"

A belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY from me too, Nita!! Sounds like you had lovely day. OH...I LOVE seafood.

CC, I'll check in later to see if you had that loss that you are expecting. THANKS for keeping those {{{{VIBES}}}} going. We all need them!!!

Sherri, glad you had a good Monday. Wish I could go out walking with you. I love to walk, but as you know I can't get out often. Hope your uncle doesn't suffer too long. Is he aware of what is going on around him, or healthy otherwise? If he is, what about his chance of living on a Ventilator? Is that an option for him? He is in my prayers. Glad that you will be able to spend more time with Megan. Keep up your great work!!!!

Eleni, How are you doing? Getting together with the family for Thanksgiving??

Christie, how is the job going?? Hope it is all you wished for.

I will check in later tonight to see how everyone is, and maybe your plans for the holidays. We are leaving bright and early tomorrow morning to go to MIL's. She is only 120mi away but we have a lot of yard work that needs to get done. DD from college is coming home this eve, so it will be nice having her around. Her younger sister is looking forward to being 'pestered' again.

Have a wonderful day and a PEACEFUL, THANKFUL Thanksgiving.
I am thankful for all my friends on this great board. THANK YOU 3 FC's!!!!!!

TOPS Hugs,
Summer

Summer,

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I am not doing good on plan at all. But my uncle is up one day with the news and down the next. Today was a great day for news compared to sunday. On sunday there wasn't much hope for him but today they actually turned down the respirator and he is starting to breathe on his own. I say him agian yesterday and his color was much better. He is only using 75% of the respirator instead of 100%. He has been at 75% all day. So that is a great thing. So there might be some hope now. They want us all to start talking to him now. They had to start giving him constant sedation starting yesterday and they gave him some meds to relax his rib cage also because that was fighting the respirator also. So that isn't a good thing. But just knowing that on friday he couldn't live longer then 2 min without the respirator and now they are starting to turn it down and also his lungs are starting to clear. Not a lot but a little. Anything is a better then none at all at this point. So it looks like today there is hope. Until tomorrow and we will wait to see if there is bad news to follow the good we got today. It is very scary to be watching this happen. And very sad but my cousins really appreciate me being there for them and they told me that tonight. So that made me feel better.
As far as me I feel terrible about me right now. I can't seem to stay on track but my mind is wandering and wondering what is happening at the hospital all the time so that doesn't help. I did buy some fruit tonight so that I can start after thanksgiving eating more of it and cutting my carbs back to 3 servings a day and filling in with more fruits and veggies. That should work. But I have to stick with it. That is the hard part. But hopefully I can get on that track and keep going. I am still walking and that is a good thing and doing strength training but my scale is up once again so I am down.

I hope you have a great time at your MIL house and enjoy the time with your daughters while you have them both together. We all have a lot to be thankful for this year. I am grateful to all those here online that support me. I surely need it in the worst way.

Flatlander,

Are you looking for a job now? What is your situation with the jobs? I love my job. I work from home for a communications company. I am the account executive and I have my own business line and they pay for my internet service as well. I also make my own hours and work from home or I am on the road 2 days a week visiting different companies to drop off my card and introduce myself and tell them what we do. I love it. I am glad I could change my schedule around and that I found someone to watch my daughter for me so I could do this. I am looking forward to spending more time with her and I know she will like it to.
Keep up the great work. I think that is great about being moderately overweight. I am at the obese part still. But I will be at goal someday I just know it.

Nita,

Sounds like you had a great birthday. I know what you mean with both a birthday and holiday in the same week. My birthday is on thanksgiving day so I have to celebrate 2 things in the same week also. But I would much rather have celebrated yesterday with you. I hate having my birthday on thanksgiving how about you? I am sure yours falls on thanksgiving sometimes to right? Don't worry about the cheesecake. You will work it off. You are doing great and keep it up. Just jump back on the wagon and keep going now that the celebrations are over. You can do this and take it easy for thanksgiving and don't overdo it. If you do then start over again. But that one day won't make a difference in your weight over a weeks time if you stay on plan for the rest of the week.

I am going to go to bed. Christie how did the first day of the new job go for you today. I am exhausted. I will chat with you all tomorrow.

Sherri
