Angry Sunday!!

Good morning ladies,

The coffee is on and we are into the wee hours of the morning. Did anyone forget to turn back the clocks before going to bed last night????

Our rally went really well and I had a blast. Had almost 60 there and that is great considering there were only 10 chapters that attended, and most of them have well under 20 members. If you want to see an inspirational story go to the other thread that Eleni started. I think it's titled 'Do You know?' [ I wish I had a better memory sometimes...lol].

Hey Sherri, How did the 'kiss' do????? Did you enjoy yourself?? Hope it went well!!!! Let us know.

Eleni, Have a happy Sunday, and remember, chin up. You are special to us.

Christie, Are you still doing well so far this week?? You're so close and sooner [before later] you will be there. Thanks for your encouraging words....I hate being out of leeway. Makes the pressure mount and as I have said before, that even tends to make my eating worse.

The boards have been kinda quiet and now I'm forgetting names.....AAAGGGGHHHHHHH....see it's the memory thing!!! Anyway, everyone is wished a great beginning to a new week. Don't let the days getting dark sooner bum us out. Just think in almost 2 months, they will be getting longer!!!!LOLOLOL

TOPS Hugs,
Summer

Good morning all. It is a brand new day and time to start over again. Thanks Summer. I never give up but I do want to sometimes. I had just come from the Fashion Bug where I could not find one pair of jeans to wear. It did not help that the sales lady was a twig even tho she was nice. The one thing a heavy person hates is a bean pole in the plus department
But I feel better this morning. According to my scales it looks like I might have a small loss. I will continue with the slim fast until Thursday weigh in. If it hasn't helped I will try something else.

We went to the Janet Jackson concert Friday night and it was good. We had a group of young spanish kids sitting in front of us and boy could they shake their botties. They were having a ball. I use to have moves like that but I would probably break something if I tried that now But she put on a really good show that was enjoyed by young and old.

Do read the story that Summer put on other post. But have some kleenex close by.

(Summer I call those " Senior moments when I forget something"Another name is (pardon the expression) brain fart. But that isn't very ladylike to say.
I must feel better I am being silly

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. We went to the movies and saw K-PAX. Save your money on this movie. It is not near as good as they advertize. Long and slow.
Ok I have rambled on enough. It is actually a little cold today but it will probably warn up in a few days.

Good Morning Everyone,

It is a little cool here in FL this morning. About 51 degrees on my back porch. But I like it. It makes a nice change from all the hot weather and having to run the air conditioner.

Eleni, I'm glad that you are feeling better. We miss you when you are not posting everyday. I look forward to those daily postings. And I know what you mean about shopping for clothes. I have a big stomach and its hard to find clothes that cover up the stomach. I have given up on jeans. I need pants that are big around the middle and short in the legs.

Summer, that was an inspiring story about the lady at your rally. It shows what can be accomplished if we are determined enough.

Christie and Sherri, Congrats on the weight loss at weigh-in. Good Job!!!

Hockeychic, I think that you will like TOPS. Weighing in every week does help and you make a lot of friends that have the same weight problems that you do. Looking forward to hearing from you again.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Nita

Summer,

Sounds like you are more on the positive side these days. I am so glad you enjoyed your rally. So didn't I. But we had a lot more then 60 people. We had like almost 400 it was great and it was the first one I had ever been to. I know you are out of leeway this week but you will get it together and do the right things. You know what you have to do and you can do it. You made it to kops don't let it get away from you. I will be praying for you to do good this week so you will get back in leeway this week at weigh in. You go girl and get up and get some exercise.

Eleni,

I am so glad to hear that your scale is down. There is no better a motivation then that in my book. That is what gave me the jump start to motivation I needed. I know you have had a lot of gains lately also and you need a loss this week also. I know you will get it. Keep up the slim fast it is working and you are doing great. Glad you enjoyed the concert. Sounds like you had a decent weekend. Did you end up finding any pants? Don't give up we are here for you. Keep moving forward and don't look back and start exercising it will help you out. I am starting to walk again even though it is cold here. I have to buck up and just do it. I am changing my schedule around so that I can do it everyday hopefully.

Nita,

So how are you doing so far this week? Did you have a good weekend? I know you will have a loss this week to. We all can if we give it 110%. I know it takes that much because it is hard work for us. You can do this.

I had a very busy weekend. I went to our fall rally yesterday for the first time. The costumes we had were great but we didn't win a prize but had a great time. It was very inspirational to see and hear these people like the century club winners and their stories. It gave me the push I needed to know that they are just like me and I can do it to. I also was given a yellow rose from our old leader so encourage me and to tell me that she wants me to become a kops to. I told her I wouldn't let her down that I was going to make it. So it was a great day and I even did great with the food. I took the skin off the chicken and didn't eat the stuffing. So that was great and I passed on dessert to. So I was full and proud of myself for that.
I started walking today. Everyone yesterday said that they lost their weight walking. One girl lost 45 lbs from june to aug and all she did was walk up to 1 1/2 miles a day (which I can do in a 1/2 hour) and go to a nutritionalist and do what they said along with her doctor. So that was inspiring. I have been hearing about a few people that made it to goal with the ww and they were walking like 4-5 miles a day. I didn't want to walk that much everyday. I can but I don't want to nor do I have the time to. So I was happy to hear that you can do it walking less as long as you do it every day. So that is what I am doing along with what the nutritionalist told me. So hopefully I am on my way to goal.
I even did good for dinner. I got a whole sub and only ate 1/2 of it. I was full so I stopped eating. I am starting to pay attention to that and when and why I am eating. We are talking about this in our chapter as a program. So I am starting to become aware. Like last night I was so mad at my husband I came in and starting eating. Then I stopped myself when I realized what I was doing. It is terrible I do it without realizing it and I know others here do the same thing. That is why we have a weight problem in the first place.
So everyone have a great tomorrow and remember tomorrow is a new day.

Hello Everyone!

I have been to a Retreat from last Sunday to Friday. And it was great. If you ever have an opportunity to go to one, please go! This is my 3rd. But the other two were several years ago.

I didn't lose all that much weight... 1 1/2 #. (We weighed in on Monday and out on Friday AM.) But I came back inspired and motivated. We received so much encouragement!
The TX Queen for last year was there and she was a great encouragement to all of us.

It was held at a beautiful place and the weather was nice. It was all very enjoyable.

I hope it gets me back on track.

I am not going to take time to write to each of you tonight (I've had grandkids, two teenage boys! all week-end) but wanted to pop in and say hello and tell you I am thinking about you and hope you all have a good weigh-in this week.

Mickey,

Glad you had a great time at the retreat. What do you do there anyway? I have never been to one but have seen them in the tops news and it shows where they are being held.

I am sure it motivated you to get back on track. Congratulations on the loss. Keep up the great work and I know you can continue at home.

Hi Mickey,

I, too, would like to know what you do at a retreat. I've seen them advertised in the TOPS news, but have never gone to one. Congrats on the 1.5 lb loss. That is a good loss for 4 days.
