Last night...
I had a dream last night , I was running on a track at my school , and running never stopping , never losing breath just running ......wonder what it means, mabey I need to lace up the nikes....I was running effortlessly and random pepole teachers form school were running up to me and talking to me but I dont know what about , I cant remember that, i just remember runnning, my mom said she came to wake me up and I was running like my legs were going back and forth like I was running , just like a dog haha.
on a good note , I pulled an old belt out of the closet this morning to find that the belt that got to tight for the last notch that it now fits loosely thats right loosely on the SECOND notch. Im happy.

WTG vogue--shows how much work you've done!!!
I'm feeling a little under the weather today. I think I've got an allergy or something. Sneezing and runny nose. Makes it hard to stay here at work. I hope it isn't something worse like a cold--I have way too much going on this weekend to deal with getting sick. My parents arrive for their 17 day stay on Sunday. What am I going to do with them for 17 days? Any suggestions? So far, the only plans are: Veterans parade Sunday, DD's concert Tuesday and then Thanksgiving.

I generally have running dreams when I'm happy and not stressed out. I also dream that I'm flying (not in a plane ) and about kittens.
When I'm stressed I dream that I'm working again at the grocery store where I worked when I was in high school and college and that I can't get things to ring up right, can't count change, etc. I also dream (when I'm stressed) that I'm trying to dial a phone number and can't get all the numbers punched in right.
The subconscious is a weird thing.

Thanksgiving is only 14 days away! Any plans?
I am preparing the turkey to take to MIL's along with a few other things. A friend gave me some fresh rosemary, so I am going to make a marinade of white wine and rosemary to inject my turkey with.
Allison, are you feeling better? How old are your parents? Will you be working while they are visiting?
Cheryl, you doing ok sweetie? Your posting but not as often as usual. How is school going?

Hi Ladies.
I am just popping in for a minute. I slept in this morning so I haven't been to the Y. I will go for a swim shortly.
Larry and I had a wonderful night.
We booked three night stay at a cottage up at the lake. We are going to leave tomorrow so I have some packing to do.
Enjoy your weekend.

Gayle--I'm actually doing OK! I've just been really busy (as usual!). I'll try to do better. I do check in just about every day, though!
Dee--you'll probably enjoy your week-end more than I'll enjoy mine
It's just about time for Stewart to go on a hunting trip. I'm ready for him to be gone so I can *try* to get some serious cleaning done!!!!

Gayle--I'm feeling better, but still "off". I got all stuffed up yesterday at work, but took a break to pick up DS from school and take him home. As soon as I left work, I got all unstuffed! Today I have a little stuffy/runny thing going on with a very, very slight sore throat which may be due to my using Zycam last night at bedtime (it really dries you up). I guess I'll just have to see if it develops into a full blown cold or not.
My parents are in their mid 80's. I will probably work most of the time that they are here--perhaps cut it down to half days or something. Dad's bday is the 16th, but I can't plan anything because that's the night of my last charity meeting of the year. The 14th, we'll be going out to dinner and then to a concert at the high school. DD plays with the symphonic band, marching band and jazz band at the school as well as two other community bands that will be performing that night. It's funny--she never leaves the stage! We might look into getting tickets to some shows here. Riverdance is playing at one theater and there are two local shows that might interest them--one call Viagra Falls (comedy, of course) and the other is the Palm Springs Follies which is like a combination Vegas showgirl show and a vaudeville show.
Thanksgiving plans: Mom and I will be making pies for about 30 people (I'm thinking 6 different types: pecan, chocolate walnut, apple, mincemeat, pumpkin and one more) and then we'll all travel up to Idyllwild (in the mountains about an hour from here) to be with Dad's brother's family. My sister and her husband will be flying in that same day. We always get together with Dad's brother's family at Thanksgiving and we always have a wonderful time. Champagne flows constantly (as well as wine!) and the food is always wonderful. No plans on sticking to any diet that day!!!

Thanksgiving plans: MY BIRTHDAY!!!! I am going to ring in being 16 and closer to getting my lisence!!! We also always put up chirstmas decorations on thankgiving since we moved, our family is in chicago and we are in tampa so its become a tradition of our own. My sister keeps talking about some kind of pumpkin roll she wants to me , my mo of course teh usuall , btu we have a whole round cake from the wedding un cut or touched so I guess thats my birthday cake! i am having a small party with my friends on the 18th , for my birthday ,we prob will just goof around and watch broadway musicals, my favorite! I have 3 favorites 1. Chicago of course , 2. rocky horror picture show, 3. the producers. I cant wait.
alli- Does it sound like Im sticking to my diet that day? ^^^^ haha:-) I hope you get better. Thanks for the comment.
dee- I am hoping ot get enough $$$ for my birthday to join the Y , I just want to pay the membership 1 time fee then I can workout in the morning swim later in the day. 3 days at a cottage hu? sounds naughty.
Gayle- Thank you for reminding me its 14 days to my birthday! Now I have to annoy everyone i my house about it haha.
4myself- Thats funny, I have had some werid dreams lately. Some of them are graphic nightmares and I just wish I knew what they were about.
sorry editing , I just ahd a major rveelation on the runners thread I did workout 1 yesterday of week 1 and thought it was really hard and tiring, I want to keep at it. its like , if I give up and not push push push myself, I will never change who I am , I will become a quitter. I dont want to be that way, I want to be in shape for swimming next spring and be able to run 3-4 miles at once and if I dont push myself I will never ever get there. no one can decide to work for somethign but me and thats exactly what Ive ogtta go do.
That could be the meaning f my dream , I am runnign and runniing and I never quit and never stop , but I am also in shape for running , and I never run out of breath beacause I never stopped running.
I know what my dream meant now.

Allison ~ Tell me about that chocolate walnut pie! I've never heard of that kind before. It's obviously not diet friendly, but it sounds SO good!
Vouge ~ I love the Rocky Horror Picture Show...sounds like a fun way to celebrate!
Cheryl ~ I'm glad to hear that all is well and that you have just been busy!
Dee ~ I hope you have a wonderful romantic weekend!
I'm cooking Thanksgiving dinner this year. It looks like there were will about 12 for dinner so that won't be too bad. Shawn, Maegan and the girls are going to her parent's house for dinner, so they will come here later for dessert.
Gayle was asking for a picture of Travis in the "Thinking of Travis" thread, so my new avatar is a picture of Travis that he sent to me earlier this week. He's obviously due for a shave, haircut and a shower, but that is my baby under all that desert dirt!

Suzy--Travis is a cutie!
As for chocolate walnut pie, it's just like pecan pie (of course, walnuts instead of pecans) and then you throw in a cup or so of semi-sweet chocolate chips. I'll post the recipe if you're interested. Just let me know.

Oh my gosh Allison, that pie sounds wonderful! I would love the recipe, but please don't list the number of calories in it...that's something I don't want to know!
Gayle ~ You're right...Travis would be "thrilled" to know that I had his picture posted here! I'll just leave it up for the USMC birthday today (Happy birthday Marine Corps...OOORAH!) and Veteran's Day tomorrow and then I'll replace it with something for Thanksgiving.

As soon as I get home this afternoon I'll post the recipe. It always gets rave reviews! And I don't even want to think about the calories!!!
