Well day four is half way done and I'm still following this diet properly. It gets alittle boring but i'm see some pretty good results. Down 4 pounds as of this morning from tuesdays weight.
Dollypie this diet is basically a detox diet were you eliminate salt and most animal protein and eat whole grains fruit and veggies for as long as possible. Day one you eat 6 half cup servings of grains, beans, rice, and 6 servings of fruit. Day 2-7 you eat one cup of dairy one serving of fruit and half cup of whole grains for breakfast and three servings of grains, three servings of veggies and one fruit for lunch and dinner. Because of the low salt and protein all retained fluid is eliminated. I'm definately not hungry and have lost sugar cravings but it can be a bit repetative unless you research some new recipes. Tonight I'm going to try sweet potato soup made with fresh ginger.
This is a diet that has been used sucessfully to fight cancer and inflamitory diseases so that's why I decided to try it. The swelling in my knee was taking longer than is normal to go away but since eating this way it has almost completely gone. My goal is to continue following this plan until my first xmas party (dec. 9) to let the knee heal as much as possible.
This weekend will be hard but being able to walk properly is very motivating.
Stacy my fingers are crossed for you. hope you scale down.
Card down another pounds isn't that three this week. I'm hoping for snow just to see if the drifts work for me. I must admit I couldn't make myself go out today.
Jcarton The 150's are soooo close, you can do it.

is i am down from my post thanksgiving weigh in. I started this week at 253. I weighed in this morning at 248. Which leads us to the bad.
I am still not at ticker weight. The ugly.
I am SO close...less than a pound from it....that is just ugly, to be that close and not get there.
Any eating plan gets better once those evil craving are gone.
just so cozy. Especially with the Christmas tree all lit up...i just love it. Mmm home made chili. That is awesome for those cold days and nights. Actually, now that you mention it, i do miss the gym. I miss that feeling of my body being worked and balanced. That tightness and strength that you feel the remainder of the day after a good work out. You always keep me in such good check with my exercise.
You know we were always neck and neck on our pounds to New Years goal...now that i have slacked on exercise you are leaving me in the dust. So enough of that...back to the gym for me.
to you.
Stacy.
so I hope to be in those pants then!
