Hello All,
Sassy, your right you can never go wrong with a wedding picture. I always believe every happy bride is beautiful.

Michelle, yay for no migraine! I woke up and felt wonderful today. No headaches like you and the cold is more or less gone.

Hey Marti,,,hows it going man? I will have to take a picture of that costume. I loved it. You really should get checked and yes,,,your teeth too. Could be an infection,,can't spell the word..absesed?

Jules...you know you are needed when.....you can't see your desk.

Jane,,,did you get your house work done?

Well I called Wayne,,,couldn't wait any longer. And he had bad news. I didn't get the job. Came in second...close second. Because I don't have my papers for Accounts Payables he couldn't hire me...hmmm thought this was a receptionist job...aahh well. Have already applied and 3 places since being home for the last hour and will be heading out shortly to fax a few more out. Plus have to take Tan to Winners to look for a Italian Soccer Shirt. Didn't even know he liked soccer.
I have to train this new woman at work tomorrow...shes into her third week...shes been trained by 2 others. Im her last hope. yay.... Seriously I hate to say this but our job market is insane. There are so many places hiring,,,but no one wants to work for the pay they are offering. We make good pay. But we are only part time. And it seems the last 4-5 people hired have been well how can I say this delicately...hmmm I can't...they are WACKED.
well i should get over to the post office and fax my stuff.
later

Hi ladies...

Just read through all of this thread and last one to try to catch up a bit. Been back at work full time and by the end of the day my arm has been pretty sore, just haven't been up to typing.

Noah looks like he pulled up his grades to passing (by the skin of his teeth) in most of his classes, thank goodness. And for summer school, he can make up two classes he didn't pass, and hopefully be back on track with a fresh start next year.

Angie, you'd be surprised how many songs you'll want on your Ipod. I am very happy with the 2GB Nano Tim got me for Christmas -- and I have about 50 Beatles songs alone, so yeah, it can fill up fast. Based on songs approximately 4 min long, the Apple website says the 1GB will hold 240, the 2GB 500, and the 4GB 1000. Sorry you didn't get the job you were hoping for, but that could mean a much better one is just around the corner  The way you are dressing for "Hair" sounds like the way I dress every day! Yeah, funny...but also true...

Jules, my paperwork is screaming for attention, too...I put ear plugs in, but now the papers have a life of their own and have shuffled across the floor to tug at my pant leg...wow, I think I have a good idea for a horror short story now

Shel, nice to meet you, and love the wedding pic avatar. My avatar is an actual picture of me, too...whaddya think? :D ;) My hubby works 4 10's like you -- he hates the long hours but loves the three day weekends every single week. I am supposed to work 9 hour days with every other Friday off, but since my surgery, they haven't let me work my regular schedule. :tantrum: :censored: :headache: :bomb: grrr...

Jane, the tropical theme patio decor sounds so fun for summer! I would love to get a housekeeper, too, but need to de-clutter before anyone could come in and truly clean this place. *sigh* So for now, I feel like I'm just treading water. Barely. Kind of drowning, actually...

Michele, love your new avatar :D I can't live without my digital camera. Sony Cybershot 3.2 megapixel, easy to use for the basics, but still don't know how to work the bells and whistles. But when we go on trips I will take sometimes 10 or 12 shots of the same thing, fill up the whole memory stick in a day -- then we empty the camera on to the laptop every night, and get rid of all the pics we don't want, keeping only the best, and the memory stick is empty and ready for the next day. Some day I would like to write travel articles, and you can sell them for more if you have digital pics to include.

Marti, I don't have to cut Tim's hair, because he shaves his head! I used to cut my boys' hair when they were little. Erik was so incredibly fidgety when he was two or three that his dad used to have to sit right in front of him and feed him one M&M :m: or one Skittle at a time to have him sit still, while I cut his hair as fast as I could. Luckily, he had very curly hair, so the mistakes were hard to see.

Robin, if I didn't already thank you, then thanks for looking for that hat on Mackinac. Maybe I'll try calling the few shops that have phone numbers listed online, and one of them will know if they are still sold somewhere on the island.

Shoot, it's 7:50 and still haven't made dinner. Have no clue what I'm going to make. I slept all day, actually. Sunday, I woke up with some kind of weird allergic reaction. My hands and feet were incredibly itchy, but no rash, it was so bizarre. So I took a Benadryl and it knocked me out for a few hours. Then I woke up itching again. I had hives off and on, first on one arm, then the other, then on my rib cage, then on the first arm again -- the itching just travelled around my body, was making me crazy! Then I started having chest pains, every 20 minutes or so, like my chest was tightening up and squeezing, and it hurt all the way to my back. That finally scared me, and Tim took me to the ER about 9pm. We were there until about 1am...and the doc said the weird chest pains definitely seemed like part of the allergic reaction, but could not figure out what caused it. I haven't eaten anything different, or changed any meds, can't think of anything I came in contact with. Might have been a bug or spider bite? They gave me a shot of Benadryl and sent me home with a prescription for some other kind of antihistamine. I was still itchy and hive-y this morning, but right now :crossed: :crossed: :crossed: I'm not. Hope it finally ran it's course!

OK, gotta try to make something for dinner. Hi to everyone else, and talk to you soon!

da fat n da furious 06-12-2006 11:10 PM

Katie, so you must of been one very tired woman today...
I saw a 4 MB at Costco, but Tanner said it wasn't big enough,,,need to get GB. So...Ill just keep snooping and when I have finally got all my sista points done i can get it.

Jane,. I got the book! zipped over to fax my resume and saw I had a package slip. Thank you!

Jane 06-12-2006 11:39 PM

Hi ladies,

I'm on my way to bed, but wanted to check in. Tomorrow I'm having lunch with my niece and have to do some errands. We had 3 acres of land surveyed awhile back for our son, and now we want to get it transferred officially in his name, so that calls for a trip to the court house at the very least. Plus, I noticed that the day I'm having a lunch for company (Thursday) is the same day I'm supposed to get my hair trimmed and touched up, so I have to see if she can take me tomorrow instead.

Mary Kate - yikes! Whatever it was, I hope it's gone. thank goodness it isn't your heart!

Angie - you're welcome. The style of writing struck me as one you'd like. Plus, I just know you'll like the characters.

Everyone else - hi and have a good evening, and an even better Tuesday.

I'm bushed... chat with you tomorrow sometime. <yawn>

Sassy_Chick 06-13-2006 02:38 AM

Hi Ladies!

Well we got our cleaning all done! Yippee! AND guess what? On Wed. I will have some ALONE time (what is that?) lol. Hub is going with fil to get our air on our car fixed. ;)

I actually like working the 10 hour shifts. Not much different, as before when I was on M-F Days :barf: I worked 9 hour days (we got an hour lunch) so I would much rather work 10 (no lunch--eat at my desk) and have an extra day off. ;)

I agree, I think every bride is beautiful. Even if they are in jeans and a t-shirt, if they are truely happy and are about to marry the one they love the most in the world, then they are beautiful!

That is my dream ya know. At our 10 yr. wedding anniversary, I wanna have a Vow Renewal in the Smokey Mts (Tennessee) and I want us to wear jeans and a nice shirt and cowboy/girl hats w/ all hubs family from Tennessee there. Most got to come to our wedding, but a lot couldn't make it. (we got married here in OH) Also we love it there! :D So anyways, kinda corny, but that is my "dream".....This year in September will make 8 years, so I only have two to go! Lmao!

Have a Great Night All!

Marti 06-13-2006 12:40 PM

Good Mornin' Gals!!

Shel--I think your renewal idea sounds wonderful! I don't think it's corny at all! Sounds like so much fun and memorable. And that's what you want and thats all that matters! So 2yrs to plan.....keep us updated on that ok?

Jane--How many acres do you own?? I would love to own land. And have my house built on it. Someday. House buying is being put on the back burner for now, James job may relocate us....not sure where or when. Not too happy about it either.

Angie--James bought himself (well he said US, but I haven't used it yet...) an IPod after he got Jhanai hers. Of coarse he got the bigger one and he's almost got all our CD's on it. That pretty cool. Need to help Jhanai get more music on hers.

Katie--Absolutely love the start of your horror story!:D Sorry to hear that your arms are still giving you problems. Has it eased up at all?? That's the scarey thing about going in for surgery to have it fixed...and then have them still ache!

Cristi--James will not touch my hair w/scissors. Even if I say that I'm going to do part and need help w/the rest...he just won't do it. Crazy man would leave me half shaved if it came down to it. I need a cut soon and would like to get it down before vacation...so I think I'll make an appointment this weekend.

Michelle--Glad to hear your headache is gone...Maybe this week will be better for the both of us!!

Hello to anyone I may have missed.

My dogs need attention and want to go out...so I better get. But I have a couple more spots to post and then I'm outta here!

Chat w/ya later!

jules1216 06-13-2006 12:51 PM

Cristina--we did have a great week off and the weather couldn't have been more beautiful!! Definitely worth having to catch up for!!

Michelle ma belle-I am so glad your feeling better!! How's the WATP going?

Marti--they are wondering if it DS had a small kidneystone or gallstone--the ER doctor told him to just watch himself carefully the next week or so.

Sue--my DH likes his cornbread and any other type of bread for that matter. He like cornmeal mush too. "Just like his grandma used to make"!

Kathy--I have had trouble every now and then with our internet too. Have a great day!!

Angie--They really don't need to NEED me so much!!! At this point I don't know what to start next--I will probably have to come in on Friday or Sunday to get it to a level of insanity I can handle better.

Katie--I love the lady that sits near me but sometimes she drives me to the point that I need earplugs with her constant talking. She listens to phones calls, even personal ones and comesd to talk about my conversation --one time she overheard my DD and i talking about her prenant friend and she told two people that both came to me that my DD was pregnant!! She is on vacation until the 28th so I might just be able to get some work caught up--if only the phone would stop ringing with more problems!! I will be so glad when my favorite coworker gets back from her medical--she is scheduled for a skin graft on Friday--I am hoping for a speedy recovery and her getting back her at least parttime. I can picture your horror story in my mind and maybe if the pile gets higher-in my lap too!!!!!

Jane--Have fun at the courthouse and at your lunch!

Shel-The Smokeys are beautiful--My inlaws lived in Murphy NC, about an hour west of Asheville. They always had such fun when they went down for summer. Always went to Dollywood. They also have been to Chattanooga, the Cherokee Indian Reservation, places in GA and all kinds of other fun stuff. They loved all the tubing, waterskiiing and white water rafting too!!

Hi to anyone I missed--Hey Kimberly if you are out there lurking, you need to post with us--miss you!!

Michelle 06-13-2006 01:09 PM

Good Morning:sunny:

ANGIE --- Yes, I have not had a headache for two days now, so I'm feeling much better! I sure hope something comes out good with your interviews, and you get the job that's just perfect for you! Job searching can be so stressful on a person.

KATIECAT --- Great that Noah pulled through with his grades! My daughter's last day of school is tomorrow, and then she's a big senior! She is so anxious to be done for summer and homework. Her friend is coming here from Maine on July 29 and staying for a week, and then Brittany is going back with her to Maine on August 6 for a week. They are also taking her to Boston and New York, and since she's never been to the East coast, and her friend has never been to the West coast, they are both very excited! Your digital camera also sounds very nice. We took it over to my sister and BIL's house on Sunday when we went for a BBQ, and we had lots of fun with it. I love that you can view all of your pictures, delete the bad ones, and only print up the ones you want, even 2 or 3.

JULES --- I'm so happy no more headache for now! I've been back OP with my WATP, doing it every morning and feeling much better. Starting next week, I'm still going to do my WATP in the morning, but my daugher and I are going up the road to a very nice park that has a track and walk there too. I'm definitely going to be getting my exercise in for the day!

MARTI --- So glad your headache is also gone and you're feeling better. It's just amazing how a headache can really run your whole day and ruin it!

JANE --- Hope you're having a nice day and that you can get your lunch and hair appointment to work out. I'm supposed to get my hair colored and cut on Friday, but I've still been debating if I'll get it done or not.

CRISTI --- I hope your enjoying your day and not working too hard!

I have a question for anyone who would know this answer. I just typed the whole post above, and when I went to submit it, I said I was no longer logged in, so I had to go backwards, copy, then resign in and post it. I don't understand why it had logged me out when I was typing my post, but this is not the first time it has done this?:?:

Suzanne 3FC 06-13-2006 02:20 PM

I think you had this problem a few weeks ago, and I posted instructions on setting a new copy. Did it help at all at the time? If not, we may need to look at other options. Here's the original post

Thank you Suzanne for that info with checking the box. I will try that, because I asked my husband about the cookies, and he didn't see anything wrong with our settings, and this is the only site I have this problem with. I'm able to stay in other sites unlimited and never kicked off. I will try though marking that box.

Suzanne 3FC 06-13-2006 02:53 PM

Hope it works! Make sure you do the other steps, though, to clear your 3fc cookies and set a new one, just in case the old cookie was corrupted.

good luck!

Cafe Ole 06-13-2006 03:46 PM

Hi All!

I am sorry I was out CAMPING! That weekend was just not long enough, that is for sure. I am absolutely swamped here so I will make it quick...

I do have pix of the pergola, if you send me your email addy, I will be happy to forward them as I haven't been smart enough to get them to show here LOL

I totally cheated this weekend with a smore & a reeces cup (ok & a hot dog) I was sooooooooo guilty & then I went for my WI & I lost 3 pounds!!! WHOOHOO :carrot: :carrot: :carrot:

Now the bad, mad, depressing, totally frustrating news --- I didn't get my promotion!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR  :( :stress: :censored: :censored: :censored: Apparently HR pulled the bosses request as they have a posting for my level that is under-represented by minorities. So they would have to interview for the spot instead of just upping my classification. They won't even just give me a raise - I am in such a foul mood at the moment (ok the 3 lb loss helped it a bit, but come on!)

I am just ready to finish all the piles here and just go home. I am now counting the days until my next trip :p

Hope everyone is well and tomorrow I will do my best on individuals.

FrouFrou 06-13-2006 03:56 PM

Hello ladies...

Kind of a quickie since I am running out of time.

MICHELLE...Suzanne reminded me of a time when I was having a similar problem and I figured I didn't check the remember me box, duh! Checked it and haven't had the problem since...that was last year sometime of course. Anyway, hope you got it worked out. I know how frustrating computers can be sometimes!

JANE...so does this mean DS is going to be next to you guys too? Or is it just to have his own little piece of the property? Either way I think it is great! I would love to have enough property to have my kids live there too! Have fun at the court house...should go rather smoothly for ya.

JULES...glad the weather cooperated for you and DH while you were off work. You know, I never thought about DS having kidney or gall stones...they are enough to kill ya! I had gallstones and had my gallbladder removed at 35 yrs. old, DD had hers removed at 15! I told her she had to copy me. When I was about 5 or 6 I fell and hit my head and had to have stitches and when she was 2 she fell and hit her head and had stitches.

MARYKATE...sorry to hear you arm is still hurting. But glad that DS pulled his grades up in time! Kind of odd to hear about everyone's kids still being in school...they got out here May 21 I believe...somewhere around then. Just saw the billboard at the school saying school starts August 17.

MARTI...so, James would actually leave you with short hair on the sides and long in the back? Silly man...sorry to hear that he is going to get transferred. Do you guys have any idea yet?

SHEL...I don't think it is corny either. We were going to renew our vows on our 10th too but did it on our 2nd because we didn't celebrate our first, long story sort of. Anyway, I think your renewal plans are wonderful.

HI to everyone else

Gotta get going...take care ladies and have a GREAT day!

FrouFrou 06-13-2006 03:58 PM

Hi Robin...sorry I don't have time to respond to your post but I have got to get going. Wanted to say HI though since I saw you had posted while I was typing away. I will send you my email address when I get back on later...would love to see your pergola!
