fantastic day,,,slept in mmmm that was sooo awesome. Have to admit I am feeling great,,,did the house cleaning grocery shopping and went all clean with that.
Jules, one of the ladies had her appendix burst and didn't know about it.. Showed up as a bladder infection. Using heavy antibiotics it held off the poison from going elsewhere. But she is was one very ill woman. I went and visited with her last week. She spent a week in the hospital. Can't do surgery cause her BP was too low. So they had a shunt in her side. Yuck draing everything. They are hoping to do surgery possibly this week...to clean up everything inside.
Jane,,,love that idea. I saw the cutest lil flower light string. That would work so well for you. Let me know if you think so too...k? I saw today they make quaker granola bars peanut free.
Marti,,,still no word...*whimper. I will call Monday if he hasn't by then. The tests came back awesome,,,other then my typing. But I was happy overall.
Monte won't let me cut his hair anymore...lol His is so short and blonde and STRAIGHT that any mistakes are clearly shown...lol

Well still have the cold but feeling so much better...no signs of the lasting migraine. One of the ladies at work has a connection to someone coming home from way down east. So we got to buy some fresh live lobster. Well actually we made them cook it for us. I can't do that. I barely could eat it with their lil eyes looking at me.
Anyway should get going...Monte and I are going to go see Hair together. I funked up some old jeans and have a plain old tunic. let my hair dry naturally...ya I think Im cool...or should I say groovy...lol

Cristina- I'm not sure what happened. I am very nosey and wanted to stay to find out, but we had to go to work! Darn it! Maybe we'll find out at our next appt! I wish I could be home cleaning as it NEEDS it! lol.

Jane - Blood tests are for my A1C (checks my blood sugar), yes my days off are M - W. I work Thurs - Sun 6 p.m. - 4 a.m. And thanks for having fun for me! :D Sounds like you are going to have lots of fun! My gramps loves Red Skeleton! ;) Where are you located, if I may ask? I'm outside of Cincinnati, OH.

MARTI... I still woke up this morning with a 'slight' headache, but I'm happy it went away as the day went on.:^: They run in our family and they are very nasty and painful!:devil: Maybe you do need to go in for a full physical, and ask to be referred to a OB/GYN specialist. If you explain all the problems you're having, to where it is affecting your life every month with all of your symptoms, you might be able to have a hysterectomy. The specialist I saw said that she couldn't believe I wasn't in their sooner to have the surgery, because my problems every month were horrible and they were controlling my life.:(

Just a quick one here. We're leaving in a bit to visit some friends in town.

Shel - I am about 2 1/2 hours south west of Indy. Have you heard of Evansville or Terre Haute? I'm right in the middle of those 2 towns, right on the Indiana/Illinois border, in the country, near Vincennes. It's one of those places that make people say "you can't get there from here" lol.

Hey ladies..Hope you are all having a wonderful day. It is rainy and chilly here. We did lots of running this afternoon looking for the perfect refrigerator. :) I think I am going to stick with the one I originally picked.
I made DH corn bread and biscuits to get him through the week so MAYBE I can eat better this week.(if I am not baking) I bought watermelon and salad fixings, squash and zuchini.
When it quits raining I am going to get out my bicycle and clean it up. I think I will ride it since I don't have a walking partner. DH has pooped out on me since he has so much going on with the house.
Sooo, as I keep saying...I am going to try again!

Monte and I went and bought our carpet finally for the basement. There always seems to be more things to do around the house. Makes it hard to do extras. But I did get some extras in,,,since its been raining the whole weekend...I didn't have any yard work to do so I cleaned the windows,,,the sills and such. So gritty from the dust when I open the windows. I love having the fresh air but hate the film of dirty it leaves.
Well I should get the laundry folded...

Have to do a quick wave before the internet kicks me off. There is a company that wants to put a Hi Speed internet (what ever it is they use) sort of tower in our yard so that people out of town can get hi speed to. We will have to check that out.

I would say Happy Monday but it is gloomy and ugly. Don't even want to get out today.

MARTI...V let me cut his hair a few times but now insists on having it done, lol. Honestly, I think I do a better job than some of those women but oh well. I cut my hair all the time too in between going and having it done. I do the sides and layers and have DD cut the back, just as good as spending $45-$60 bucks to have it done.

JANE...I would love to have a screened in deck. I enjoy sitting out there but sometimes the bugs are awful. I've seen those thongs and they are cute!

ANGIE...figure one day you will acknowledge me, lol, you can't ignore me forever, or can you? :D Anyway, new carpet sounds exciting! Can't wait 'til we get new carpet in the living room and do the wood flooring.

KATHY...hopefully you get your computer glitches worked out. I had computer problems this weekend, well, actually telephone problems. V planted some day lilies in the back fo rme and hit the telephone line and cut it, ooopsie! Thanks goodness he knows how to fix things like that. Otherwise we would have had to call the phone company and be charged a LOT! He did fiber optics for AT&T for years.

JULES...hope you get the pile down on your desk! Nothing like coming back to lots of work, eh? Glad you and hubby had a nice time though.

SHEL...love your avatar! One of these years when I get a good head shot I will put up. We were supposed to get rain over the weekend but nothing. Then last night they say no rain in sight for a while and what do we wake up to? Thunderstorms, lol! Still raining...not complaining though because we need it and that means I don't have to water the lawn, lol!

SUE...I love watermelon! I didn't get any when I bought groceries but I too bought salad fixin's and fruit and veggies.

Yes I work 10 hour shifts and a 4 day week, which is great, means 3 days off! :D They are talking about moving hub to a 3 day week though but not me. So if that happens that means I would have to drive in seperately every night, which stinks because that is the whole reason we wanted the same shift -- to save gas $$. But oh well guess they are going to do what they are going to do. Also means we have to get the truck fixed or buy a new car and we don't have the fundage for either right now................sigh

Well I'm off to clean!!!!!!!!
