Mary Kate - YAY for Noah pulling through! :cp: My iPod will hold approx. 1000 songs, but I only have about 200 on it so far, lol. Hope your arms are feeling better today.

Shel - enjoy your alone time tomorrow, hon. I remember the days when the kids were young, and I valued that alone time so much! Btw, I'm not sure if I commented on your avatar, but I meant to. You are beautiful! Since Tennesee is so close, I'll be looking for my invitation to your vow renewal ceremony. :D

Marti - we have 58 acres, give or take a tad, but we rent the ground to a nearby farmer. Yikes, is this news about James possibly relocating unexpected? When will you know for sure? Would it still be in Oregon?

Jules - I did have fun with my niece, Carol. Her mom, (my oldest sister) died 19 years ago at age 48 w/cancer. Carol and I are close, and to keep the bond strong, we make a point of having lunch once a month. Cornmeal mush, you say?? I haven't had that in ages. My mom used to fry it, and we kids would put butter and syrup on it for breakfast. No wonder I have a weight problem to this day, lol.

Michelle - well, I hope my stylist doesn't cut my hair too short when I go Friday AM.. She gets to talking, and cutting, and the faster she talks, the more she cuts, lol. But I do like the way my hair lays when she does it. I went ahead and colored it myself this morning. Well, the parts I could reach, lol. Go ahead and get your done - you'll feel better.

Robin - there you are! Sorry you didn't get your promotion. :( The circumstances make the whole thing unfair, if you ask me. Tell them to call your moderator and I'll set them straight, lol.

Cristi - our son's land will be/is on the south edge of our property, aprrox. 2 city blocks away. Mary's house, however, is close. She and I are withing shouting distance of each other, lol, and we both love that. Btw, do you get the Terry's Village catalog I was talking about?

Well, I called the court house before I ever left home today, and it's a good thing I did. Since our deed was never updated after Fern died, we have to take care of that first. So I made an appt. with our lawyer, and got the ball rolling. So much red tape! Then, I had a very enjoyable lunch with my niece, and stayed totally OP.

Sorry I haven't posted individuals....I lost one last night after writing it, and didn't have time to type it again.
I think I told you we listed our house Thurs. We had our first showing today and I am anxious to get the feed-back. Have another showing Thurs. After one time I am already thinking it is a pain to have to leave for the length of time they are looking. AND I am not fond of strangers in my house. I better plan on staying in the new one forever. haha
So, I have been busy trying to keep things picked up and also running all the errands for the new house. Sat. we had to go show the electrician where we want everything, plugs, lights, phones, cable, yada,yada. :)
Roof shingles are on, windows are in and doors are on. It looks like a whole house, but I am anxious for the bricks. I will take more pictures and post the link again soon.

Jane- Hope you get everything taken care of on the property. Sounded like a nice visit with your niece. Congrats on staying OP.

Cristina- You are doing so good with your walking and It Figures. I know I will get the "power" back and get on track...but it just isn't happening right now. :(

Angie- I am also sorry that the job didn't come through. I know there is something better awaiting you. I don't even want to think about cleaning or washing windows. We have busted our butts getting things done. Now I have to KEEP it up.

Marti- Wow, where do you think you might have to re-locate to? That would be a bummer, but maybe exciting too. Things have a way of working out if you just look for the silver lining. You are doing great...WTG.

Robin- So sorry about the promotion. But,hey..you had camping AND lost 3 pounds. Kudos to you. Nice to have you back though.

Jules- My DH loves cornbread, but he doesn't care for mush. Now grits is another story. He loves those. I finally learned to make biscuits and cornbread to suit him (from scratch)...lots of trial and error.

Shel- Love your avatar and your plans for a renewal ceremony.

Michelle- Glad to hear that your headache is gone and hope it doesn't come back. In case I didn't tell you, I love your new avatar too.

Mary Kate- Great that Noah was able to get the grades up. I am waiting to hear if my DGS got his up and is/is not going to have to repeat some 10th grade classes. Kids can give you gray hair for sure.

Tomorrow I will have to do the ironing. Got the laundry done tonight and really don't have anything else I need to do. Maybe I can actually have a few minutes for ME. Right... :)

Shel, I love your idea! I never wanted a big wedding, big dress and all that. I wanted a big ol pig roast. Out and Monte's Grandparents farm. Everyone in their favorite western wear...or not. But I just wanted everyone to enjoy themselves. Not that we didn't at our wedding,,,it was a blast! As strange as this sounds,,,our family goes in spurts with weddings. 2 other cousins got married the same month as us. Just on my side of the family. Monte's 2cousins got married back 3 months after us. Then 5 years later there ws 3 more cousins..( 1 of them happen to be one of the cousins married the same month as us...lol and since then has already divorced her and is living with some woman...guess he learned)

Michelle...weird how headaches (migrains) are so diblitating... I swear I can't do anything,,, I hate when Im on a verge of having a migrain...the panic I feel.

Jules..never thought of that but ya that could be a gall stone. If that is what hes got...bring up labour pains to him. Its the closest to labour they will get to feel. I remember working in retail as middle management. I handled all the paperwork and I remember coming back once and seeing my in box looking almost empty. Till they told me the file box next to it was my backlogged paperwork. *gulp... ya I felt the love...*snarl

Yay for Noah for pulling throu. My friend Becky did the school thing yesterday. One of her twins was failing,,,and well he might still have to do summer school. But it turns out he has a reading and comprehensive problem. Similar to what I think I have when it comes to electronical things and knowing how to work them. I usually whimper and hand over to one of the guys in the family, and then wait for them to show me...the damsel in distress works for me...lol

not much happening...went to work,,,trained a woman that has been trained by 2 other people for the last 3 weeks. I just don't think she can do this type of job. Not everyone is cut out to do call centre stuff,,,right Katie? grrr
GOOD NEWS...somehow I got bumped on the Dr. McKenna's list. Was suppose to wait till Sept. But because I said Ill meet when ever I go this Thursday. After first when I heard the messege I was can't be..I admit that was a few days ago. I called them to say I did get the messege...and they were this Thursday...the 15th. I can't have caffeine, no drugs (darn what a week to have to quit,,,ha ha ha) and no exercise. Need to write a diary of what I eat. That in it self should be easy since I eat close to the same thing every day. I struggling with variety. If I go off on a new thing I worry it will trigger a binge.
I mentioned quite awhile ago about going off of white sugar right? Things have been I would say good. I still struggle and want sweet stuff, but not as bad as the first 3 weeks. The biggest problem is I have found I am eating more carbs,,,breads and such...which will be hard when I go off of while flour. Im just wanting to get away from all those things that I know just are the beginning of a whirlwind spirling down. I do find that I was more moodier when I was on sugars...Im leveling out now.
well I should get going,,,want to go watch a bit of tv.
