Susan - My neighbor said Benchwarmers was really funny - and she's a tough one to please! It sounds like just the ticket to keep your mind off life in general. You'll be seeing Rachel before you know it ...just keep telling yourself that she's where she needs to be...then go distract yourself

You're right about that part of town. DH calls it "felony flats".

Hi Ellen - keep going, girl. The Little Engine that could - I think I Can I think I can.

So - my foot saga wasn't nearly as interesting as everyone thought it would be...I WISH it were about expensive italian shoes! At least it wasn't bunions or something real attractive like hammertoe.

HI GIRLS

Where is everyone today, is it a holiday or something, you had a party and I wasn't invited "right" Well I haven't a lot to say finished up the hallway , finger tips are raw, that was fun.

HI KATY...
I bought these insoles called Walkfit, I don't know if you have heard of them ,they are seen on infomercial, and I bought mine at tsc here, anyways I was having a lot of trouble with my back and knees aching, and other ailments and I thought it wouldn't hurt to give them a try, I had a thirty day money back guarantee. I find a huge difference in the way I feel when I walk , the purpose is for alignment, and I think they do a great job for me anyways. I don't know the seriousness of your problem but honestly it wouldn't hurt to give them a try, there are different levels of arch support you just insert the different pads. I am still using level one and I am doing fine with that one Look on the internet for Walkfit and have a look, it sure beats putting out 500.00 thats for sure.I thought I would mention it, I hope your having a great night,

K Girls I will be here when the party's over, I will just leave my present here chat later

Good Evening Everyone ~ My husband and daughter went to see Benchwarmers a couple of weeks ago, and they said it was really good and funny. I'm so happy the nice sunshiny beautiful weather is back! It just makes a person feel so happy. I'm finally feeling better and back to myself again, and I'm happy so I can start back to my usual exercise routine in the morning. I'm praying for you Susan and your daughers. You have your hands so full and you really need a good break. I hope all of you have a wonderful evening...

Good evening ladies,

I am tired tonight, DS#3 and the 3 grandbabies just left. Boy they were full of it tonight, dh was as full of it as they were....but it was fun. Poor son is really worn out, he has to go to college full time and watch the 3 kids all the time. His wife works and lets just say she would rather stay at work than be home... it's such a shame.. they have darling kids, she is missing out on so much that she'll never get back. I don't understand some young women these days.

Susan, I know it's a terrible feeling to have one of your chicks out of the nest away from home, especially so young. But be glad she is getting the help she needs to become whole again. Poor Rebecca sounds like she isnt' really cut out to be a problem child, just needed to give it a try. You will get through this, you are a strong lady and a good mom.. and hopefully it won't be long you will be a happy family again. I'll keep you and your girls in my prayers. It can't hurt.

I forgot who just saw Beauty and The Beast, but I loved it too. I saw it on Broadway in NYC in 2001. Was the highlight of our trip.

Marti
, good luck on starting on afternoons.

Angie, how long before the production is over?

Jane, so sorry to hear about your cousin's son. What a waste, what a loss.. I always hate to hear about young people feeling that lost and tormented that they feel that is the only way out..your family must be crushed.. you and your family are in my prayers too. Also, hope your knee is feeling better.

Ellen sorry you are still having problems with your computer.

Katy, why do you go to a chiropractor for your feet? Just curious..I have flat feet and hate to wear shoes.. but I bought myself a good pair of tennis shoes when I was going to Curves cause the spring boards made my feet and ankles sore,, anyway I now wear them to work and my feet are feeling much better, also my lower back. I have a recumbant bike, that is what I ride every night. I still have to adjust my seat every so often, shifting forward or back to be comfortable.

Kim. why wouldn't water with flavoring in it be counted as water.. tea, coffee liquid is liquid...as long as it is plain, no sugar, cream etc. that would be defeating the purpose. But flavored water is still water.

We have a super Wal mart in town. IT is the best place to shop around here. We had a kmart but it had to close when walmart came into town. Our town is small and we couldn't support them both. I liked kmart, but I like the super walmart better. Ours is clean and a nice place. I know quite a few of the people who work there so that makes it more fun to shop. I always run into people I know shopping too, so it's as much a social place as a shopping place.

Well, I guess I better turn in. My son #3 gave me his old laptop tonight, so I am taking it work tomorrow and seeing if I can do some things with it, to save myself some time in the evenings..

It is suppose to start warming up tomorrow and continue to get warmer, so business should be picking up. My fundraisers start Monday also, so that always brings the people in. Oh yes.. I got my car back today. Not sure if I told you about my son #4 borrowing it back in Jan. when his quit for good on him.. was suppose to be a weekend or week at the most, well here it is 4 months later.. well last Friday, he calls to tell me he found a car, but he also backed into a tree with mine denting two doors.. I am not very happy with him, but I at least have it back. He did say he'd pay for the repairs.. we'll see.

Well, I hope you all have a good night. I am not that good at doing individuals all the time.. I try to take notes but didn't tonight, I am to tired. So I'll just say Hello to everyone and good night.

Good Evening.

I am off to get fish food!!

I talked to you in a whole paragraph Ellen.

Glad to hear Benchwarmers is good, look forward to seeing it.

Spoke with Rach and she sounds fine. Asked over and over when she can come home but I gave no answer. I only have 22 days on her (in treatment ) medical coverage, so 22 days is a safe guess. haha

Is that not the most icky, gross..... area of PDX Katy?? Even north PDX has some charm in between the drive by shooting - lol .....just think of concrete, that is all there is out there in SE, sucks....

better get to the store.........thank you for the prayers

Hi ladies,

Ellen - I didn't get to see the cat pics. By the time I got on here the day you posted them, or maybe it was the next day, there was just a place where they had been. Yay for the new-looking floor.

Angie - glad all went well at the doc's for your referral. Lots of JLs will be waiting to see what she has to say. Oh hon, I call my girls by the wrong name all the time, and have since they were small. Now Mary does it with her 3 girls, lol.

Cristina - Mary is furious with the way Walmart has been raising all their food prices. We don't have many choices here, either, since Walmart ran most of the competition out of town. I got a new skirt this season. It's chocolate brown, and goes with an aqua jacket with brown buttons, and a white cami. I found some aqua and brown reed braclets to wear with it, and also bought new chocolate brown sling-backs. Already had a cool dark brown purse. I don't usually like skirts, either, but I did like this one. So many of them have huge flowers on them which would make my butt look even bigger than it is!

Marti - I bet you're getting anxious for your new job. Tell us about it, ok?

Katy - dang, I was hoping to hear about Italian stilettos, lol. Hope you've been having lots of fun during your No TV week.

Susan - how did the conversation with Rachel go? Was she still weepy? Keep in mind that you'll make it through one way or another, ok?

Michelle - glad you're feeling better.

I didn't get much accomplished today. My nephew from Indy visited and I really enjoyed that. Also did some laundry.

I almost forgot that when Katie gets back, that means I get my laptop back!!! I really miss it. Thirteen days until we leave.....

See ya later,

GOODNIGHT LADIES

Its bedtime I think , I am tired did quite a bit today, need to try and finish tomorrow
Susan..... I didn't even see that post until you mentioned it Sorry. so the fishies didn't kick the bucket , that's good news Drive by shootings sheesh, that's a little scary to say the least. I hope that they can accomplish a lot in 22 days , I would imagine they will see the urgency in it. I hope Rachel comes through this, with some new skills. So Susie hows the diet going, I will confess I cheated today, my son left his Wendy's frosty in my freezer and I ate it, I did, I felt guilty, but its to late now , she's on the way down to where all bad frosties go

JANE.....
I went back and the pictures are still there, try again ok Its kind of amazing what a difference the grout made , its quite a change , the tiles were a off white colour with a sand colour grout originally, but after 5 years it started to darken and when I changed all the paint to brighter colours I didn't like the way it looked with the new palette so I changed it to this almond shade and it looks so much nicer , fresher I just hope it lasts, its a new product , its supposed to last for years, I guess I'll find out won't I. I just hope it lasts long enough for my poor fingers to recover I was responding to your post about the birds the other night and I lost my post again, but what a beautiful sight outside your dining room window, I have wanted to get some feeders out since I moved here ,just never did get to doing it. I have so many beautiful finches, cardinals , blue jays and every other kind of bird up in the huge trees here, I just love watching them. My neighbours have so many bird and squirrel houses in their yard , its always filled with little critter's we share kitties and squirrels and birds, the occasional raccoon and skunk but it nice. Your new house already looks like a wonderful warm and cozy home, you have done a beautiful job.

HI GINNY.......
Wow Broadway , you lucky lady. I hope you get some rest after your visit with the little ones , I know how they can wear you out. Have a great night

HI MICHELLE...
Glad your weather is warm and sunny, I have the sunny but the warm hasn't caught up yet. Happy you are feeling better and back to your old self again, what is your usual exercise routine, nosy me wants to know H ave a great night

Well girls I am off to bed to pooped to participate anymore, I know Angie is hot on my heels somewhere, with a cold cup of coffee at her side but I am to tired to wait for her tonight, so Angie I agree with ever you are going to say, I'm sorry for anything bad , happy for anything good, and NO I didn't do it, honest A little something to help you sleep better

QUESTION? REMEMBER THE RUG I SHOWED YOU THE YELLOW CHECKED ONE, I MAY NOT BE ABLE TO GET THAT ONE, THEY ARE CHECKING AROUND, BUT TELL ME WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS ONE,THERE IS RED IN MY ACCENT COLOURS .http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...1/16-167_l.jpg

Ellen, I love the rug...so perky. You agree with what ever I say eh? Now stay out of the freezer...frosties are bad ,,,bad!

Ginny, it was mean who got to see Beauty last night,,,loved it. Im very flat footed,,,and as most of you know Brandon is severely flat footed,,,worse that alot of Dr. have ever seen...I guess when you are bare foot on the floor and you suction cup to it,,ya that is flat footed...lol But i find if I wear flats or bare feet my feet ach horribly. I tend to find rubber soled shoes ,,thick soles too. Hope the laptop helps you,,

Jane, I wear alot of brown and aqua together. Bought the cutest pair of jean capris with dark brown cuffs. I wear it with a top that is both brown and aqua,,then top it off with a aqua cardigan.

Katy, was hoping it was expensive italians... Brandons inserts costed me the first time a thousand. He had an ingrown toenail which was another 2 hundred. Thing is they inserts were only used for 6 months,,,had to have new casts made after his second surgery. That was 8 hundred, with no insurnace coverage. We know he will have to get another once he has had surgery again,,,which is about another 4 months.

I said NO! today,,,I was asked 2 times to stage manage Oklahoma...and both times I said no. Im so proud of myself. Of course 10 min before that I agreed to do some emergency sewing for a play...with my time schedule why did I say yes? duh,,,banging head against the brick wall...gonna try to sew these thigns they need.

well off to bed I go....night all

Hi everyoneJust popping in for a quick second, because I used most of my time trying to go back and read.

Susan hugs to you.

Jane when we were in dino land the only ride that DH and the kids went on was the flying dino's. And the dinosaur ride. (The really scary one that the 3 year old loved.)

Cristina sorry about the trouble you are having with the showing of your house. Can you stay at home while they show the house? When we were looking at houses a couple of the families stayed at home. They did a better job showing us their places and the realitor learned alot from them also.

Ellen I am glad that you got a new computer. You find the cutest pictures.

Angie glad to see that you have slowed down and now have time to yourself to relax. Did you take any recovery time or just 2 days? Will come back on later tonight to see if you are the stage manager for the new production... you will probably be asked a few more times.

Hi Marti how do you like the gazelle? Was looking at one in the store but didn't know how it would work.

Hello to everyone else. I really must get running as I have so much to do and I am almost out of time. I will have horses coming through my door demanding breakfast and the children have decided they want pancakes for breakfast.

Have a great day
Kathy

Good morning ladies,

Angie, good for you for saying NO... sometimes we just have too. And yes with flat feet your legs and everything aches after being on your feet all day. When I stand barefooted my ankles practically touch the floor, I have no arches.. always had sore feet too. Shoes really make the difference. Hope your son gets his feet in shape. Will the next surgery do it? I know what you mean about medical expenses. Even with insurance they are still expensive. When ds#5 had his back injured several weeks ago, the ambulance cost $700 something, and all they did in the ER was give him a shot for the pain and a prescription for more pain pills. That cost $385 of which they deducted $70 because they belong to the insurance group.. that is considered paid by the insurance, so the balance is ours. Plus they don't want to pay for the ambulance either.. so having insurance sounds good, but it don't always help any at all. My ds#4 had major back surgery several years ago, the doctor didn't belong to the group.. so he wouldn't accept what the insurance would pay him, he charged us more than $10,000 more.. and he had an assistant whom we understood to be one of his office members, but no he asked another specialist to assist so this doctor also charged us $10,000 on his own, and the insurance will only pay for 1 specialist... of the $20,000 insurance paid $1500. That is right fifteen hundred... now you can't tell me that reasonable cost for 7.5 hrs of major surgery is 1500 dollars. Anyway insurance isn't all it's cracked up to be.. high premiums and low pay outs. But don't get me going on that.

Had fun with the kiddies last night. But told son not to expect me to babysit for the next 6 weeks at least. There is just to much to do, and his wife will just have to arrange her schedule around her family. She is the head honcho and makes out the schedule so it shouldn't be a problem.

Does anyone ever go into the chatroom on this thing. I just discovered it the other day, two or three of you ladies were on line at the same time but no one was there.. that would be a neat place to plan to meet sometime and have a real chit chat.

Well, I really don't have anything to chitchat about this morning. Hope today is more productive at work. We had frost warnings again last night so that slows people down from buying.

Ok, will check in this evening.. have a good day all, and post lots so I can have lots to read.. didn't get to ride last night, so will have to do extra tonight.

Ginny

Sorry to be MIA--we have two friends in the hospital
--one is a guy my husband worked with years ago--when he found out we were putting the tin roof on he was out here helping without even being asked--he's just that kind of guy--he was in an accident at work and a chain snapped and hit him in the face--he was in surgery almost 8 hours to remove all the fragments--they kept him sedated for a few days--there was no brain damage and when they brought him out of sedation he was his usual self--cracking jokes & wanting a cigarette--he gets reconstructive surgery next Monday....
the second is a dear friend and the coworker who I say is the only reason I stay sane at work--she's 61 and I keep saying when she retires I do too. She had a bunion which got a sore on it--last week her leg started swelling and she took off a few days--Saturday they took her to the emergency room because it turns out she had a staff infection (not the worse kind that there is only one treatment for) and it turns out she has diabetes. Wednesday she lost three toes. She had them removed without being put totally under since she has been terrified since the start of this as her mother had the same thing happen and never woke up after surgery. I am going to go see her today and she seems to be handling it all well.

HELLO LADIES Its a really pretty day today, sunny still not so warm , but I will still take the sunny days for now. I have the sneezies this morning and itchy eyes, which are driving me crazy and a bit of a dull headache, but I will survive
HI JULES ... I was wondering where you were , thats to bad , I hope that both your dear freinds will have a full recovery, I hope your having a nice day.
HI ANGIE... YES I agree with you, I knew it when I was eating it to, just couldn't seem to stop myself I haven't cheated once since the Easter egg, I swear, hopefully I didn't do much damage. I am really trying to stay good, honest. So you did like the rug that's good news thank you, a little different than the original plan but I think it would look pretty in there to, but you didn't like Rob Thomas , that was a little surprising Wow Angie that's a lot on money for inserts , maybe you could trade the kid in for a new model, JUST KIDDIN , STOP THROWING STUFF AT ME no nasty letters Good for you saying no, but bad girl for then saying yes, but good girl for knowing you should have said no, just do it next time So I drive you crazy with my silliness Angie I hope you are having a great day, see around 1am.
HI GINNY... .WOW THOSE ARE A LOT OF EXPENSES,makes me shiver a little. I don't blame you , little ones area handful lot when your not busy. Yes I agree ,you should take care of your own family first. I take it you have a little beef with this daughter in law I hope the frost doesn't slow down business for you, I know this is the busy season and you must be anxious for it to get busy Have a great day Ginny and I am working on those I promise
HI KATHY....Well its actually a new old computer, that's why have a lot of problems posting sometimes, but the new new computer will come after I finish up the house and my Sweet Daughter gets married this Christmas , then I can breathe a little and not feel so guilty about buying one Glad you are enjoying the pictures ,Its so nice to have you here again.

Good Morning,

My former boss just came in and flopped in one of my chairs and asked how I was doing. I told him and I think he is sorry he asked. lol woo hoo

Beck told me that Rachel's friend that we have been trying to keep her away from worships the devil .lol Sorry, it isn't funny . Just seems like can it get any worse???

Means nothing because we belive in God. Devil should be scared of that.

Rach wasn't weepy Jane. I need to buy her some shoes because she left her's at the friends house. Not even going to bother going over there. Course my mother thinks I should invite the girl to church. Wonderful idea but I am not in the mood and the girl isn't going to do that and the whole point is to get Rachel away from her. Save my own child , thank you very much. Is that mean?? hmmmm, I don't care.

How is the what going Ellen?? I don't call it a diet. I call it a life changing event*snicker* an awaking if you will......chanting is good....... jk......I am doing AWESOME!!!! I went to Starbucks this morning and picked up the sandwish I was eating all week and realized it has 600 calories in it! *GASP* so I picked up the low cal one and that had 290. So , I ate that for breakfast.

Hi Kathy!!! I better get to work. yikes.........

Good Morning Ellen!!!

You were posting at the same time as me!!!! Cool , huh??? Kind of like we share the same brain!!! Scary, huh??? hehe

I have 2 1/2 months before operation "Get a Maintenance Man" starts. That is when I go to camp ( gawd, I sound so immature-lol) We will be there a week and I figure my outfits of short shorts and tank tops will get his attention. If I don't lose the 30 pounds though it will be a horrible sight.

I would never make fun of the frosty downfall. I am not that kind of person. You can have all you want, we can set up Frosty IV's for you......hehe.

better get!!!
