Hiya ladies...

Back again for a few minutes. A little bored since there is nothing on the tellyvision. Speaking of the telly...

JANE...how do you guys like your new t.v.? We were thinking about getting one, a little bit bigger though. Not sure why V thinks he needs a BIG t.v. guess it's like men and their tools, never can have enough. But I am fine with the little 36 in. we have. First official guest int he guest room eh? And grandmas gonna sleep with her, how sweet. She gets to try out the new beds. Hey, did you guys get to light the fireplace the other night? So romantic

MARTI...I was telling Charlotte Friday, that since I have been walking, and especially since I started going there that I have had so much energy. Friday, I had so much and the house was already clean so I had nothing to do! Went out for a couple of hours trying to find some yard work to do. I had planned on Sunday being a free day but since I didn't get any walking or exercise in on Wednesday, we will get up early and go walk again. It was really nice to get out before everyone got up to start their day. Although, we did pass a couple of people out walking. You know...Jhanai may go through that phase of wanting to do things with friends, etc. but there will come a time when she will want to be around you all the time. Carrie went through that and we have become a lot closer over the last few years. But I remember all too well when she would rather be at a friends or go to a slumber party, etc. And that's good that your time with her is flexible enough that she can come anytime.

ANGIE...we did the base coat and tried the red again and OMGoodness! it is horrible. From a distance it looks fine but up close, ick! We have some of the green left from before so tomorrow V is painting it green again. If we end up staying and I still want a red door we will just go buy one already painted! No offer on the house and man i was mad again when we came back. Apparently, the people had a bratty kid (giving them the benefit of the doubt) because it looked like someone actually had been jumping on the couch and chair! I really cannot believe people and their lack of respect for other people. Driving me crazy! Isn't it weird when one of the kids are gone? Well, it is for me. It's just not the same for me when one is missing, too quiet it seems. Even though...they spend most of their time in their bedroom.

LAKEGIRL...I'm assuming your name is Kimberly???? I will have to go and check the bios. Would you rather be called by your name or username? Just let us know. And WTG on your weight loss! Don't cha just love a kingsize bed? Man, I wouldn't know what to do without one. Or should I say DH wouldn't know what to do, hehe. 3/4 of the bed is mine, all mine! I am such a bedhog for sure.

ELLEN...hey, I've actually said that a few times. I've always been in shape...some kind of shape anyway. Maybe not have been skinny, but I've always had a shape! And that's exactly what my belly looks like! yes, we have had a steady stream of viewers and not one offer yet! But...that is fine with us. We don't care anymore. We are just going to bit the bullet and let the contract run out and hope, fingers crossed that we don't get any offers. Of course V has told me that he never wanted to move to begin with, what?! He said he was just trying to please me and make me happy! Okay, love the man, but that is nonsense. Told him he should have just said "NO, I don't want to move!" and that would have been the end of that. Anywhoo...the red door is not working out And it was such a nice color, tricky color, but pretty, a deep dark red. So how is your kitchen coming along? Anymore late nights working in it? When you get some time, wanna come and work on mine? Please

SUSAN...hey, maybe you and your mom and inspire each other to lose the weight. She has got to be so proud of you, and how far you have come. I know I sure am. I know what whoppers are, and I like them. I thought you were talking about whoppers from BK, duh! *slaps forehead* Maybe Rebecca is acting out to get attention. It's got to be hard seeing Rachel go through all she is dealing with, and that right there would take a lot of you and Dougs time. She probably feels a little left out. Hope you got your walk in at the park.

Well, ladies...guess I'll be going for now. Surely there's something on the telly by now. Should have gone to Blockbuster, darn. Oh well, I need ot be doing other things anyway. I had all that energy this morning, and most of the day. about 4 I started getting sleepy. Feel asleep on the couch at 5 for about 15 mns. and then again at 5:30 and didn't wake up until 7, YIKES! Little Ernie dog was whining next to me. he goes crazy about 5-6 wanting to be feed. How the dog knows it's feeding time is beyond me, but he was wanting his food. Have a good night ladies!

Good Evening Ladies ~ I haven't been here for a few days and you all sure do a lot of posting! It has been a very stressful past couple of days. My mom, who lives in an assisted living facility just up the road from me, passed out Wednesday night when she got really dizzy, and was complaining if shortness of breath and bad chest pains. They took her by ambulance to the hospital and she went home today. I should tell you all of the medical conditions she has had: 2 open heart surgeries, 5 strokes, cerebral hemorage in her brain, almost diabetic coma, now is diabetic, bone cancer in her left femer bone and had 9 inches of bone removed and has a cadaver bone and steel rod in now, skin cancer, and now liver problems. I think that's everything. People just don't understand how she has pulled through everything, but she sure has. This recent episode was because she was retaining fluid on her lungs, and now she has to see a heart specialist on Tuesday. She had a very bad breakdown Thursday night when my younger daugher and I were at the hospital, because she heard her nurse and someone else talking about her and called her a name. I got everyone involved with that issue, and her doctor is handling the problem now. My mom has so many mental problems, and it's so hard on me to keep seeing her go through this. I was having chest pains for two days from stress, because besides my mom, my grandma is also in the hospital not doing good.

Susan and Marti, I see you both are from Oregon also ~ do you mind me asking where you both live? I live in Oregon City and love it here, but the traffic is getting soooooo bad!

I hope all of you have a wonderful evening and will talk again soon...

GOOD MORNING GIRLS

I had written you a early morning Sunday post, since I was going shopping tomorrow, I was just about finished with all my jabbering when the screen flashed blue fatal error and shut down on me and erased my post. Now I should be really cranky, but then this evil computer would win , so I won't give in but having said that it is now 1:40 in the morning and I have to get up early to go shopping with sweet daughter 45 minutes from where we live, so I will have an early start , so this means I can't fill you in on all the intellectual material I had to say But don't worry because when I get home I will . and I will tell you what I bought if anything So if anyone is reading this now , just pretend you didn't and read it in the morning I will talk to you girls when I get home.

Good evening gals!

Checking in before I shut the computer down for the night. Been a busy day...and then a boring day for me. Got my kitchen very clean. Got some nooks and cranny's all cleaned up!

The races are starting up again. Love the sound of that. We live maybe, 1/4mile (if that) from the race track. And when warm weather starts....we start hearing the cars going. Most of the neighbors hate it. Even complain about it to the city. But hey...they races have been here a long time...some of the neighbors are new. They knew where they were living next too.

Also smelled many BBQ's going tonight! Truly the sounds and smells of spring weather!! Loving it.

Jane--Count me as one who wants to see your home! I'm glad that you're moved in and settled and even have your first over night guest! Won't Katie be happy coming home to a brand new house!

Cristina--Glad to hear that you're enjoying the new gym your going to. (sorry, I forgot the name of the place) I need to utilize the gym we have at work. I really have no excuses to not go. I just haven't wanted to use up my lunch time for working out (and sweating) and then working out after work....so late. If I came before work...all the employees who get off at 5:00 would be there and so it would be too crowded. See there....all kinds of excuses!! Shame on me!

Michelle--Oh my goodness...your poor mom! That is a lot to go through in life and to still be suffering. My heart goes out to her! Sending so many hugs. I live south of Eugene. Small town. But I've lived in smaller!

Ellen--Is your time zone 3hrs ahead of me?? You must live quite a distance from Angie...I believe she's only an hour ahead of me. (Aren't you Angie???) Have a wonderful time w/your DD tomorrow!!

Hello to everyone else out there.

I'm waiting for James to get home. He should be home in a few more hours. Been a couple days since I've seen him.....I believe I miss the guy!

Ok....off to fold some laundry. Been putting that off and now it's 11:30pm.!! Procrastination gets you no where...which is why I haven't lost any weight!

hugs!

Good morning ladies,

My oh my, so much going on . First of all, Michelle, your poor sainted mother has certainly been through a lot. It is amazing that she is still with us. She is a strong woman. My heart goes out to her and you. And to top it off your grandmother is also not doing well. You most definitely will be in my prayers.

Jane, I would like to see pictures of your house also, please let me know how and where to see them when you get them posted. Isn't it nice to have the dgd overnight, I always enjoy having mine too.

Christina, sorry you are having so much trouble getting your door painted like you want it. Sounds like a good idea to just buy one already done. You said your dh didn't really want to move but was just doing it to please you.. what a sweet man. You can't fault him for trying to please you.

Marti, yes that is a lot of excuses. Are you still using your gazelle? I think you are the one who has one, right?

Angie, how are you doing?

Susan, sounds like Rebecca is vying for attention too. It must be hard being the middle child. How is Rachel doing? You haven't mentioned to much about her lately, hope she is coming around. And Gaby sounds like a real little sweetie. Glad she is liking her school bus.

Ellen, remember the school bus that has wheels that go round and round...
*sorry* I couldn't resist. Are you still painting in your house.. hey maybe you should go over to Christina's and give them a hand with their door.

Lakegirl, welcome. .nice to meet you, look forward to hearing more about you.

Wonder how Connie is doing? Hope it all went well for her.

Hello Jules, Mindee, Katy and everyone else I missed. Hope everyone is having a good Sunday.

It is raining here again. It is cold here again. I really don't know why we live in Michigan, it seems we have 3 months of winter and 9 months of cold weather with a few weeks of warmth thrown in on occasion. Today my littlest dgd turns 2. We are going to her birthday party this afternoon. She is talking up a storm. It is such a cute age.

Went out to dinner last night like I said. Had a fish dish. There was a baked walleye almondine, a piece of grilled salmon and a piece of lightly battered fried whitefish. I don't normally eat fish but it was good for a change but I didn't finish all the walleye, wasn't particularly fond of it.. I had a small salad with vingerette dressing and a small piece of the dinner roll. I was starving. But the scale was still down there this morning, so I am happy about that. At the movie we didn't have any popcorn We were to full of dinner. I had ridden 8 miles on my bike an hour before we went out. So I think I did good.

Some one suggested drinking broth before they go out to dinner to feel full. But I figure if I am going to go out to dinner, I am going to enjoy it.. but in moderation. What is the point of going out to dinner if you aren't going to eat?

This has been a real roller coaster month for me. I sure hope the next one is better. I am determined to lose the weight this summer. How is the challenge coming along? Oh is tomorrow the big weigh in day for Ellen and Susan?

I guess I better go, I am just rattling on here. I don't seem to have anything to really do at this time. I am going to go fix a tuna salad for dh's lunch in a bit. But I think I will pass since I had a late breakfast of the last of my Easter ham and an egg.

Will check in later to see how things are going with the rest of you.

Ginny

Marti & Ginny ~ Thanks so much for the many hugs and prayers, because they are really appreciated. My mom is at home now, and really shouldn't be yet! She still coughs so much from that fluid that was in her lungs. I don't understand the hospitals and doctors, but they just want to rush them right out the door! Today it is another sunny beautiful day here, and is suppose to get up to about 70 degrees again. I love this weather and could live year round with it like this!

Lakegirl ~ I'm newer to this group also, but this is a very very nice group of ladies and I'm sure you'll enjoy it here!

I hope everyone else is doing good and having a wonderful Sunday! Talk to you all a little later...

Wow..you guys have been busy...welcome to the newbies and hello to the regularbies...
This will be short--after raining for two days and this morning the sun is out and shining bright--my choices of the day are either going for a motorcycle ride or morel mushroom hunting. If DH decides to do neither and work in the garage it will be mowing the grass for me.....

Good Morning

I am doing my coffee hour this Sunday morning instead of Tuesday. I have a workshop M/T/W of this week and a meeting 1/2 the day Thursday. I won't be around much so you won't have me to kick around.

btw- I am working on my self esteem - lol

Silly Rebecca. She can have my attention without upsetting the local fire station - lol She is going to babysit Gaby for me this week. They don't get along so I am thinking this will be punishment enough for Beck. I told Gab to give her ****.

Michelle- I sent a IM where I live. Hope you get it and welcome again to the group!

Ginny- Yes, tomorrow is the weigh in but I won't be around til evening. lol I had some peanutbutter crackers and 2 beers last night. I watched Something has gotta give with Jack & Diane, that was so funny. Diane Keaton is great.

ok- need to go rotate my donuts. Chat later.

Angie - I know you are a PI but what does that mean? jk Anyway, she pulled it with a friend in tow. Very cute girl but they both seem to have stepped up in the bad behavior. This other girl was the one that gave Rachels friend some gas to sniff or huff or whatever the heck you do with it.
Anyway, they both have 3 days off from school. *sigh.......I smell like donuts.
I better get home to Gaby and the gang.
Chat later.

I think I will go take a nap. Where is everyone? Are you still shopping Ellen? *sigh
I made some chicken soup and put all the bags of veggies that I didn't finish from work. I don't know what I am going to eat the next 3 days. Unless I go to work on my lunch break and micro something. .....or just eat something in moderation, I guess.
It is sunny here!! Going to nap some since I woke up at 6:30am
Chat later!

Gorgeous day here in sunny Portland! I weeded some after church; Leigh rode her bike a little - still hard for her. Then we drew chalk pictures on the driveway. What a life!

Michelle - what Susan said - we are practically in the same neighborhood.

I'm in on WI Mondays...gotta have some accountability; I also chimed in on the challenge thread....so here we go

Have a great day everyone

Katy & Susan ~ I'm not quite sure where the area is that you live in, because I've never heard of it before. I love this weather today; I could live with this year round!

Hello Ladies!

Cristina - we really love the plasma TV. It's so light-weight. Not that we've carried it anywhere since it got moved to the new house, lol. When the satellite guy hooked up our TVs, we got a new HD receiver (already had the HD dish) and so when shows come on that are HD, we get the best clarity! The screen is LCD, so all shows look better now than they did on the old TV. Yes, we used the fireplace the other night, and it was beautiful. I love the sizzle and crackle of a real wood fire.

Michelle - wow, your mom sure is a survivor! I'm hoping you'll take care of yourself, sweetie. There's an old Japanese saying "After me, you first" which is so true! You can't take care of someone else until you take care of yourself first.

Ellen - hope you're having fun shopping with your DD today. Wad'ja buy me?? Somebody asked your location. Aren't you north of New York state, or thereabouts?

Marti - hey, fly to Evansville, and I'll bring you to my home where you can stay in the guest room as long as you like. Bring James, too! Hope you and he have fun today.

Ginny - so sorry but the photos of my house are deleted. Come on down to Indiana after your busy season is over, and see it first hand!

Jules - so what did you end up doing today afterall?

Susan - I meant to mention the other day that the Light Done Right salad dressings are soooo good on a flour tortilla with sliced turkey. I sometimes add green pepper strips for crunch. I really like to read how you're getting lots of veggies recently.

Angie - aww, the sleep over was fun. She was so tired by the time we actually went to bed, though, that she went to sleep before long. You said you're going to talk to your doctor about your weight. If I'm not being too nosy, did you mean for advice, or what?

Katy - funny you mentioned chalk. The DGDs got some egg-shaped chalk for Easter and have been busy with it most of the day, lol. I've got it all over my pants from their sweet little hands, but I don't care at all.

Kimberly - forgive me if I should already know this, but are you doing WW? One of the things I like best about that program is that nothing is off-limits. Comes in handy when a gal needs a crepe, lol. So glad you joined out group!

MaryAnn - welcome to our place. I'm glad you're comfortable here. But I'm so concerned about what you said about your abusive husband. Is there anyone you can turn to for help? Family, a close friend, or a minister? In the meantime, please keep coming here for support, ok?

Well, let's see..... as I mentioned to Angie, the sleepover was fun. Then today, we spent lots of time outdoors again. The weather is gorgeous!

I think I forget to mention that I went for an MRI on my knee. I'll get the results Tuesday.

See ya on the flip side.
