Gaby went to school this morning, she was thrilled. So happy and excited with the bus. She did the instructions so she can ride home today on the bus and Papa Doug will pick her up from my place.

Anyway, working on my water. Hate it, always will! Thinking of buying some walking shoes if I get the bonus on Thursday. I really need good walking shoes otherwise I can't exercise. *whaaa *whaaaa what a tough life.

Hello ladies,

Well, today went much better. It is beautiful out 70 degrees F. here, I walked home again after work. It felt good and my doggie loves it. My doggie is almost 14, he has liver problems and has lost tons of weight. We don't figure he'll be around to much longer. So we have spoiled him rotten. Course we would have anyway... but when I open my retail center in another week he has to retire and stay home. He is quite deaf and has cataracts so his eye sight is not to good unless he is really close, and I don't want him getting run over in the parking lot or anything. For now he just sleeps under the benches or on a mattress I have for him down there. The sun on his old bones must feel good.

Angie, glad Monte is doing better. Do like I do, send him to the guest room when he is a noisy sleeper. How is the neck feeling?
Ellen, love your clipart.. I tried to find some but didn't want to spend a long time downloading things I didn't really know what they were. Also, ok, the cheese cake is gone and now you can begin in ernest. I would like to join the 30 pound challenge, but I don't usually do good under challenges.. but maybe with all the encouragement in here, I can do it this time...

Connie, you and your hubby still in my prayers. Also, Sue's mom. My mil is getting weaker and her memory is getting worse. Today would have been her 76th wedding anniversary if her dh was alive..he has been gone 26 yrs. now.. I told my sil to tell her the date and see if it sparked any memories... haven't heard back yet.

WEll, they scheduled my colonscopy for July 7. The exam was something else. But I have to say he was thorough.

Well, need to go finish some laundry I started this morning and get some supper going, dh will be home hungry in about an hour. Then I will go ride my bike. :ebike: I actually missed doing it last night. But felt too icky.:stress:

I had food, I feel so much better!
I had a delish Nicoise Salad from Trader Joes with lettuce, tuna,green beans, tomatoes, 1 hard boiled egg, green onions, arugula, capers. I don't know what the last 2 things are but there was something in the salad that looked like deer poops. I ate them and they were salty??
Anyway, it was 130 calories and I skipped the dreassing - had 16 grams of protein, so I was happy with that.
I also found some low fat soy pretzels and had a few of those. Feel SO much better!

Doug waited for Gaby at the bus stop. She got off and ran to him. She was very happy and excited. Can't wait to see her!! Chow!

Hello girls!

Been busy as can be today. I had to run to town and get some errand done. Needed to clean up my floors! Wood floors collect dust bunnies like no tomorrow!!

James reserved our hotel last night. Very excited to go. I would like to lose at least 5lbs before I go. I think that's totally doable.:D

Been eating lightly. I had a pasta salad today. Very good. And I have been drinking lots of water. Seems like I'm just really dehydrated and can't get enough sometimes, and other times....can't stand to look at it!:dizzy:

Weighed in yesterday, I'm up a bit, 147lbs. Could be worse. Just need to work on it more. With summer just around the corner....I better get the body moving!

Just a quickie, I misspoke earlier, it would have been my mil's 70th wedding anniversary, fil died 20 yrs ago.. in fact he died the evening before their 50th anniversary. We had given them a party the Sunday before, it was an open house and there were so many people, his parents had had a little mom and pop general store for a number of years and knew lots of people. A week later they were all returning for his funeral.

Ok, don't want to depress anyone just remembering here. Just got done riding my bike 8 miles and took a shower. Should be tired but for some reason I am not that bad.

Nothing to post, just wanted to amend my earlier post.

Marti,where are you going on your trip? You are doing good with your water. For some reason I just can't drink that much, I am doing better but still have a long way to go with it.

My adventures in MySpace.....

OK - so my friend Kathryn popped by yesterday. We knit and chatted for awhile and she referred to her blog....on MySpace. So I signed up today, mostly out of curiosity, but may be interested in blogging at some point about parenthood, knitting, and the like. I have nothing better to do :dizzy: But all the rejection scenarios of my youth came flooding back, what if I invite people and nobody shows? :yikes: Turns out I don't really need to invite anybody because already people seem to be finding me. I think they are a little pervy, maybe because the thumbnail picture is my profile photo...I think I'm attracting a distinctly non-knitting crowd. I just got a message from a guy called Sir Galaxie who said I reminded him of his granddaughter. Ok - is that sweet...or creepy....anybody's guess at this point.

This will be interesting. At least when my son wants to get on MySpace to chat with his friends, I will know what he is talking about. I am impressed with the privacy controls...there are quite a few should one choose to use them.

Marti - yay! The vacation is a reality....we felt the same way after we booked our rooms at Ashland; it's really going to happen and we have something to look forward to.

Jane - Oh the advantages of living in a small town :) It would have been a major pain to send out change of address forms for moving 50 feet away.

Susan - your dinner sounded so yummy! I bet Gaby had a great day at school....it's a big day for her!

I had a salad and tea, wasn't the most enjoyable but it was a respectable meal. Don't worry about the cookies , if I had some I would be eating them to thats for sure. Dust bunnies are evil Susan, they somehow sneak into my house and scare Skittles. Some days I see her running back and forth like a cheetah, I think the bunnies are chasing her.

Ginny--As Susan mentioned...I'm going to San Fran in July and it's for our Anniversary. Our Anniversary was in March, but we didn't have time off available then....so we made it for July. So we'll spend the 4th down there. Should be fun.

Angie--You did so good eating on chopped veggies....I ate out of the darn vending machine today!! Horrible. I should never take money to work! I ate so well at home too. I have to say...you exhaust me w/all that you do for your plays!!! Where do you get the energy??

Susan--I love eating from Trader Joes!! I used to get bags of Oriental Rice Crackers.....always craved those. I haven't gotten any in months! Probably since last summer....I think it's time for me to make a trip to Trader Joes just for that! And maybe for one of their sandwhiches which I just LOVE!!

Sue--Good thought for your mom!! Hope all goes well and she heals quickly!!

Good morning ladies,

It's raining here again. Looks gloomy out but I think it's still warm. Leaving my dog home today, he isn't doing to good. Poor thing, we have to start considering the big plan but I hate to think about it. He is my last pet of any kind, I can't take this anymore.

Marti, that is right, I remember now. SF you'll love it. I know what you mean about making time for a vacation. Our anniversary is next weekend, but we can never do anything much because we have to work. Although 2 yrs ago my dh stole me away to an adult hotel for the night. He wouldnt' tell me where we were going, just told me to pack an overnight bag and we took off work at noon. It was a very cozy small inn, it had a kingsize bed with a canopy and mirror on the top of it, *didn't care for that part*, a fireplace in the corner, a hot tub for two in the room, no phones. Dinner and breakfast for two were included. IT was so romantic. Then the next day when we returned we got word our new grandbaby was making an appearance. So we went to the hospital, got there just in time to hear her first cries. Within 10 minutes of her birth I was holding my new granddaughter. Oh sweet memories.
Anyway, Marti I hope you two have a great time.

Jane, already into the new house.. boy do I envy you having a new house, but notthe moving part. I have so much stuff in this house I can't even imagine moving it..course if I did, I think I would get rid of all of it, and start fresh.. did you start fresh? To bad you can't take your granddaughter to the show...Beauty and the Beast.. I was in New York in June of 2001, I saw Beauty and the Beast on Broadway.. It was the highlight of our trip. I loved it.

Well, dh just called, I need to find some things for work. So I best be off. Another day is begun.

Do any of you weigh yourself every day? Or weekly? I have a scale, and its holding up a box of stuff in my closet. do you think its better to eigh yourself often,,,keeping track or to occassionally? (by occassionaly I mean once a month)

What kind of salad Ellen? Trader Joes does have wonderful salads and the prices are great. I might walk over today (it is a block away and by the time I got to my car in the parking lot at work I was almost there but I got in the car and drove over - lol ) and get me another one.

Anyway, I had a horrible night and not much into chatting. Rach called me the *C* word and it makes me sick.She gets on the phone with her father and he comes and rescues her. How am I suppose to parent if he can just stroll in any time he wants?? UGH. I took the tv out of her room and she starts crying. Excuse me that is what you get when calling me nasty names.

So, everything makes me sick right now. Even Rocky. Long distance doesn't cut it. It has been a year and a half and we aren't getting any closer. Of course he is stuck out on an island....lol whatEVER.....
