Well, we took both boys into their pediatrician earlier today. I was lucky enough to get two appointments back to back for them due to cancellations. Anyways, we got into the room and they got weighed. Logan was 15lbs. 9oz or so with his clothes on. Brandon was 27lbs. 2oz with his clothes on. The doctor came in and saw them. She told us that she has been busy for the past two months, and RSV is going around.

She checked out Brandon first. He has an ear infection in his right ear I think, and bronchiolitis. Bronchiolitis, is like bronchitis, but bronchiolitis is in the smaller area of the lungs. She wrote a script for Amoxicillin for Brandon, the liquid this time! She then checked out Logan, who mind you, just puked on Tommy before she walked in. She listened to his lungs and said that it sound like he has the beginning stages of RSV, which she has been seeing a lot of lately. So, she wrote a script for a nebulizer and some albuterol for Logan. So, we left the doctor’s office and went and picked up the nebulizer. The lady at the place said that the insurance covers it, so the nebulizer is Logan’s to keep. Then we took off to Wal-Mart to get their scripts filled and pick up a couple of things.

We got them home, got some food in their bellies, and got some medicine into them. It took both of us to fight with Brandon to get the Amoxicillin into him, which was a stretch, so we will be using other methods to get the medicine into him tonight before he goes to bed. Then I got Logan fed and gave him a breathing treatment. He wanted nothing to do with the regular attachment to get the medicine out, so thank goodness they gave Tommy a little mask to use. Logan loved the mask on to get his medicine. The doctor wrote the script for more so that we could use it on Brandon as well, so I gave him a treatment after I got Logan done with. He wanted nothing to do with the mask like Logan, so I used the regular attachment and he was fine once I had to tell him that it would make him feel better.

Angie~ We actually did give him a luke warm bath last night because he had another temp of 100.5 degrees F. I also grabbed one of his t-shirts and let him sleep in his diaper and t-shirt rather then his pajamas, cause I think those were keeping his temp up as well.

Annette~ Thanks for the nice words. His temp seems to have gone done now.

Ginny~ He was in the bath tub for probably at the most maybe, 5 to 10 minutes and he was done. We also have a vaporizer in their room with an inhalant that gives off the menthol and eucalyptus scents.

Good day all,
Very quiet in here....since its a foggy night here, it seems almost spooky...

I am in serious need of a hair cut in the next week or so,,,geesh very long and unmanagable. And that white hairs,,,or as my stylist says platinum blonde are out of control.
Anyone watch that there is a new tv show called The Evidence. Im so hyped about that.
Another thing Im hyped about,,,I found the costumes for Tanner's Aladdin. And I will be going to Jyske tomorrow for some window pannels, gonna do the Scarlette O'Hare, and make his Aladdin costume out of window coverings...lol

You are such a good mom Mindee. I enjot reading about your little boys.

I am on the run but cut and pasted a post from my single parenting group.

It has been extremely stressful the last month. My 14 1/2 has taken
off 3 times. The second time she was picked up by the police and
taken to a runaway shelter, she stayed there 2 weeks. She liked it so
much she didn't want to come home.haha - cute.
I picked her up last Saturday and we had a nice weekend - kept busy.
Sunday night she said she didn't want to go to school and I said she
had too. The next morning she fought me on this but I ended up
getting her there in the morning - by 11 she had skipped school.
Not before she called the shelter asking to come back and if they
didn't let her she would kill herself. She was screaming in the
counselors office and very upset.
She left school and I finally tracked her down at 8-ish. Police picked
her up and brought home. I took her in for a mental health evaluation
at the hospital and they recommended residential treatment. Took
Tuesday off and worked on that - she had 3 options and I tried to
pick the best one for her. At 3:30 I decided and now she refused to
go. .....*sigh* so I called Kaiser and they said she had to otherwise
they would call the police to escort her and so she said ok.....
We got there and I did intake for an hour and Rach was taken for a
tour. It isn't a bad place and her Vice Principal and school
counselor gave it high marks.
I felt bad though for leaving her. She was so sweet and vulnerable.
Course she changes on a dime with her mood swings. Her grades have
gone from A's to F's and she admitted Wednesday to smoking weed,
drinking some.....and she smokes now.....lol woo hoo,,,,you go girl
*roll eyes*
They will keep her for another week to evaluate her. She is up to go
to an alternative school when she gets out. They put her on prozac
for her mood swings/ depression.

Gaby made a necklace with green dyed pasta, wearing that today. lol She is a doll. Got stopped for speeding and I said "please , please don't give me a ticket!!"....geez......he gave me a warning...

better get,,,,,,waaaaaay busy.

Lots to do around here and feeling really tired! Sorry haven't been around much. When things slow down, I will check in more often.

Hope everyone is doing well.

WI the other day and I'm down 5lbs from my Holiday weight gain! VERY happy about that! Must be from all the walking I do at work.

How is everyone doing on the weight loss part of life???

I'll check back again soon.
