p.s. maggzs and Kempy, I think Australia time is 21 hours ahead of Hawaii time? Just guessing... but I do remember when Elton John was supposed to ring in the New Year with a concert in Australia, then fly to Hawaii to ring in the New Year again... wouldn't that have been neat?

Bumping us up and here to say
Happy St. Patrick's Day and Happy Friday!

melekalikimaka 03-17-2006 12:43 PM

:lucky: Just put my corned beef in the crock pot...can't wait to come back home later and smell that cookin' :T :hun:

I got back OP yesterday and drank lots of water. The scale is back down again to more normal limits . I think I am going to just wait until Tuesday for my regular weigh-in day, that way I have that many more days to work off whatever pounds snuck their way back on my backside.... :crossed:

AND the sun is shining today :sunny:
Have a great day ladies

Kempyd 03-17-2006 02:24 PM

Confession, confession, confession. I HAD WENDY'S!!!!! I couldn't take it any longer. I know I am doing good and I havn't had it in so long. I didn't get the double bacon burger like I used to but I did get a burger and fries. BAD GIRL!!! I will be ok but, once I was done I could have kicked myself.

Mag I think you are 16 hours ahead of me. If I figured that right.

Noelle good for you getting back on track. I have the WW stir-fry cookbook. They have some good stuff in there. It is more of a one skillet type cookbook but they do have some stir-fry things in there. I made a southwest macaroni from there and it was really good. I still don't ahve one of those calcs. I just use the slider.

Hey Julie that for bumping us up.

Where is everyone today?

melekalikimaka 03-17-2006 04:23 PM

:hyper: Kempy I thought I smelled fry-breath  I'm jealous!! Actually, you didn't do that bad if you got a regular burger and small fries. Just count up your points and log them. You gotta treat yourself sometimes and heck, sometimes you just feel like a "splurge" don't you?

I'm heading off for lunch soon myself. I'm dragging Michael around with me since he's out on spring break, poor kid is getting bored. Think I'll get a chicken salad or something on the lighter side since I do plan on eating my corned beef for dinner. Yum, can't wait! We don't have this very often...

jbbm 03-17-2006 05:42 PM

Hi Girls

Just checking in before dinner. We are maing rubens, YUM! I went to ds's school today and helped in the class and then went and picked up dd from preschool. Now I get to sit for a second.

Noelle enjoy your corn beef tonight! Got an extra plate?:) Great job being back on track....as for me I looking for the right path:^:....I keep saying tomorrow I will start. I am happy it is not raining today by you. Enjoy your sunshine, sunshine;)

Kempy, I love Wendy's fries! You did good though, you gave into your craving but with control. I don't know if I could done that today.

Bye girls I have to run. Anyone having a green beer tonight? Have one for me:)

maggzs 03-18-2006 12:15 AM

Hi Ladies,

Noelle, You did show restraint. We dont have Wendys but we do have maccas & it does give out the call from time to time. Good that you have hoped back on the wagon though. I am sort of doing WW. I did it registered for a while then stopped going after pretty much reaching goal. But now I am just using what I learnt & counting points at home. I just dont seem to have the time to get to meetings when they are on. I am either at work or involved with the kids at the time any are close so any new developments in the program keep me posted please.

Hubby has invited 25 people from his work for a BBQ tonight so it will definately be a challenge for me. I am really looking forward to a glass or 2 of red wine, I have been abstaining all week & hanging out. I know it wont be many point choices there creamy salads etc but will just have to remember that tomorrow is another day. And I have been keeping ity low in points all day so hopefully wont blow the scale to much in 1 night.

Hope its been a great day all & enjoy your week end.

melekalikimaka 03-18-2006 03:17 AM

 Sorry, no real green beers for me, but cheers anyway...but 2 servings of corned beef, cabbage and potatoes :T I bought this nice spicy mustard to go on top and it was just sooooooo good. I got in a nice hour and a half walk before dinner so I should be just fine.

Julie, Rick just loves rubens too.

maggzs, enjoy your BBQ. You sound like you planned for it by eating low points so go ahead and indulge a little. It's feels kinda strange how I am just getting ready for bed and you are in the middle of your BBQ  Anyway, have fun.

I went shopping at WalMart and picked up some new cheap cotton bras (sorry if that's TMI)...I just wanted to try them out since I needed a smaller band size. Not much up top anyway so I can get away with the cheap stuff  dunno why I shared that with y'all, I must be tired  Gotta get to bed now....

Kempyd 03-19-2006 01:58 PM

Bumping us up. I am in the middle of unloading our truck. We bought some lawn things and I need to get hte out. It is overcast though so I am really dragging butt. I hate days like this, i can't make myself do anything productive. I need the sun!

maggzs 03-19-2006 06:31 PM

Hi All :)

Well unfortunately I did indulge. Way toooooo much. And that went on into Sun. Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhh  why why why do we do it then HATE ourselves???

Anyway Good news is... today is another day & another MOnday to start all over again. So its back to points & counting. Oh JOY :carrot:

Hey Noelle I so wish I could just get some cheap bras NOTHING I buy is under $50 Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr so jelous I would dearly love to target that area for weight loss!

Have a great day.

melekalikimaka 03-20-2006 11:44 AM

Good morning ladies, happy Monday :sunny: (just trying to convince myself as well) Had a nice weekend just relaxing...I'm putting on my shoes now and going for a morning walk. I'll be back later :running:

jbbm 03-20-2006 03:08 PM

Hi Girls

How is everyone doing today? It was really nice this weekend, almost 50 degrees. So it was bike rides and walks around here. On Saturday I had my mom over and dh's parents for cake and so they could give him his gifts. Yup that was the second cake here in a week. I made one on Tuesday and one for Sat. I am done with CAKE for awhile. Today I am just working on laundry and putting the house in order. Ds is on Spring break this week so I am trying to plan things out to do. Maybe a movie. Or a hike if the weather is nice.

Have a good walk Noelle!

Maggs don't be too mad at yourself for indulging. Just start fresh today.

Kempy speaking of lawns things I want to get a new patio set. As much time as we spend out in the backyard it would be nice to have a table and umbrella to have dinner out there on a summer night. Hope the sun came out by you for part of the weekend.

Check back later on girls. Have a great afternoon!

melekalikimaka 03-20-2006 04:10 PM

:mouse: Happy Spring guys! Yeah, it's supposed to be spring right? Well if spring means torrential rains and flooding then we've got it here. Well....right now it's bright and sunny but yesterday was another story. We had a lake in our backyard and if it continued raining it would've flooded the downstairs, thank God it stopped when it did. We have sun forecast today and tomorrow, with guess what? More rain come Wednesday. I can't complain though, the mountains and everything look so beautiful and green, even on the dry side of the island where I live. It's just awesome. So anyway, I am planning to weigh-in tomorrow so I have to keep my hands out of the m&m's and my feet moving.

Julie your weekend weather sounded beautiful. Wow, 2 b-day cakes, I would have found it difficult to restrain myself! I am a sucker for sweets. Anyway today is a NEW DAY! Enjoy your time off w/DS. Have you guys seen the Shaggy Dog movie? It was a bit long for me, but Michael liked it. I can't wait til another GOOD kids movie comes out, like Finding Nemo, or Toy Story...something that grabs your attention and makes you laugh like crazy. I'm tired of all the stupid subject matter going around.

maggzs, you enjoyed yourself over the weekend and that's good. You're SO RIGHT about Monday being a start over day though... so let's just all get on with it shall we? :D Hmmm, I can easily buy cheap bras because I don't have much to support 'up there'. I guess I should look at that in the positive light though, not having to invest so much $$ in my undergarments

Kempy, so what'd you get for your garden? Once the sun comes out we might not get to see much of you around here, you'll be puttering around outside... have you guys ever heard of crown flowers? It grows sort of on a bush like, and the butterflies love them. Rick is doing a renovation on this house and in their backyard there's a crownflower bush loaded with monarch butterfliy caterpillars...it's creepy but neat at the same time.

So a big HELLO to everyone: Dips, Cal, Angie, Cherie, surfdreams, red, aimee..... and anyone I may have missed. Come out and say Hi!

calnative 03-20-2006 11:24 PM

Hello everyone,

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I'm really enjoying my time off. I have this week off then it's back to school with only 10 weeks left. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. This school year has been one of the fastest years.
I finally have all hotels and car paid for and/or reserved for our trip this summer. Even Ashley is getting so excited. I showed her one of the hotels were staying at; it's called Moevenpick Dream Castle Hotel and is patterned after a French castle. She loves it. Now she's saying she can't wait until June 8 when we leave. I'm glad she's excited about the trip and she still doesn't know about Disneyland Paris. It will be such a great surprise.
I'm still working on the course for my SEI endorsement. I have 5 assignments left to do before March 29. Tomorrow we have an appointment to have our taxes done. Not looking forward to it. I already know we have to pay; just hoping our tax guy can get it down as low as possible.
I hope everyone is having a great first day of spring. Hopefully the weather will be kind to everyone.
Have a great night.

Cal
