Good morning everyone! Just thought I would do a quick post while having my coffee ... I need to clean house!

Annie:
Welcome back! Sounds like you're on the way to getting your life under control - I'm sure you will be able to have a place on your own soon enough - don't feel bad about depending on your parents for help - I'm sure they don't mind ... that's good you got to work at H&R - it's a start and good luck on your other receptionist possibility. Sassy here in our group works for H&R also so you have something in common. Post often!

Sharon:
The reason you could not post the other day is they were changing over to a bigger server.

Carol:
Well girl ... I expect to hear from you in here daily! I don't have the answer as to why we don't reach out for help when we get our of control - guess we don't want to admit it ???? Anyways, you did the smart thing by coming here and fessing up so now you have to come in every day, good or bad. I'm sure you are just going thru a "faze" and you will get control. WE CAN DO THIS!!! And I promise you we won't get tired of you! Post 10 times a day if you have to! Take one day at a time .. if you fall off the wagon, pick yourself up and start all over again! Never stop trying.

Mel:
We are in Gaylord - northern Michigan - close to the UP. Where is Green Bay? I should know that. Our snow has subsided now - just getting a dusting but do have a couple storm systems coming our way thru Friday. Have you heard from your landlord yet? Good luck on your move.

Well ... will check in later ... guess I better go and get busy. Will check back later today. Hope you all have a great day!

Love, CJ

Debbie, wow! congrats on losing 13 pounds so far!!! That is such a great accomplishment. I cant wait until I can say the same about myself

CJ, oh okay. I am glad to hear that you are eating healthy, because, as I previously stated, Adkins is horrible for your health. It sounds like you are following WW Core, like I am. You eat whole-grains, fruits, veggies, FF dairy, oils, and lean protein until you feel "satisfied" (no counting calories). It is an excellent way to eat, and I actually eat a lot less because it is healthy food, not empty calories like in fast food, cookies, candy...etc. You are so cute...going to your hot tub all the time. I bet it does feel sooo good, considering how cold it gets in MIchigan. I am such a baby....I think it is too cold here in FL .

Allensmom, thanks for welcoming me. LOL....glad to here you aren't doing Adkins either. I too am in love wih bread. Also, thanks for making me feel better about being obese .

Sharon, thanks for welcoming me too. You raised four children? That is a huge accomplishment all in itself . How old are your children?

Annie, welcome back (even though I didn't belong to this group when you were here before). I totally understand where you are coming from. When very stressful things happen in your life the last thing you want to think about it losing weight. Stress makes me eat too....we are obviously both emotional eaters. At least you have made the first step and have come back.

Carol, welcome back to you too. You sound just like me...the same exact thing happened to me. I was coming here at the end of last year and I stopped coming because I started eating bad and didn't want to have to come back to change me ticker. I gained 15 pounds while I was gone and I am more determined than ever to lose that, and the rest of the weight. You are right, you made the first step by admitting that you have a problem. Good luck on your weightloss journey.

I have been so stressed out lately with school. I have so much homework and tests going on that I want to scream. I am so proud of myself for sticking with my diet even though I could have easily eaten poorly. I am actually past the phase of wanting to cheat. The first two days were the hardest because I still had all of that junk in my system, but now that it is out I feel wonderful. Hopefully this "high" of eating healthy will stick with me for the rest of my life .

Wow, sorry for the LONG post.

Sheridan:
I'm not following the WW program .. I am actually doing (or trying - haha) low-carb .. but just not Atkins. I do have some fruit occassionally, and if I do eat bread I make sure it is not white bread .. I try to stay away from potatoes, breads, and pasta - the starchy stuff - but do on occassion have them. I do not eat anything FF - I hate FF stuff so any dairy is the 100% stuff. And of course I try my best to stay away from the junk food and sugars. If I crave crunchy I go for the pork rinds and sour cream. And of course the water ... lots of water.

Sherry! Where are you?????? Come and post soon - miss you!

OK ... guess what? Hubby and I are going to go to the Casino ... wish me luck! It's a good thing that the casino is so close to us but then on the other hand it could be dangerous - lol. But we know our limits and never spend $$$$ we can't afford to.

Talk to ya later...

Love, CJ

CJ, I am soooo jealous! Good luck! You better win some money for your new wardrobe. I knew you weren't actually following WW Core, but I was just saying that it sounded similar. It sounds like you get a good variety of food though, which is good. Let us know how you do. What games do you usually play? Do you come back winning money, or losing (which seems to be what happens to everyone)?

Ok, so this is what I was saying b4!
CJ- I live in Green Bay, WI . . . but people seem to think that WI and MI are the same.
Mark keeps buying me candy! He brings home Peanut Butter M&M's all the time, they are my favorite candy! I havn't been eating them, I keep giving them to other people.

Hi again - just checking my mail before going to bed. We just got home from the Casino ... we won tonite but then gave it back so we are even.. no more, no less than what we walked in with.

Mel:
OK .. Green Bay, WI .. boy, I thought Iwas losing it - I was wondering where Green Bay in MI was .. hahahaha Thanks for telling me about the peanut butter m&ms ... I love peanut butter and they sound good .. ok, I won't buy any. Good job on giving them away on your part! Now that's will power - especially since it's your favorite.

Sheridan:
Usually when we go to the Casino I'm pretty lucky most of the time and come back a winner ... tonite I broke even which is good .. a night of fun and no cost to us. I usually (99%) play the video poker machines. I like a game that you have to think a little. I even have a favorite poker machine and god help the person that is on it when I get there - lol - just kidding!

Good nite girls .... until tomorrow ...

Love, CJ

I'm so stressed out right now! Mark e-filed our taxes 9 days ago and we were suppoed to get our rufund tomorrow. He went online to check the status and it had been rejected! Long story short- the IRD said my last name was still my maiden name, and the social security dept said it was my married name. So he had to totally re-file it and now we aren't getting our refund until the 24th! We can't move until we get our refund. So we will get 1 weekend to move out and clean this place up. Of course, the place we live in now was a total dump when we moved into it, so I guess even if I don't clean it, it'll look 100 times better than it did when we moved in!

Hello All

CJ.....Thanks SOOOOOOOOO much for the sweet cards. Valentine's Day & our anniversary. You are too nice! Thanks for thinking of me.

I'm sorry I haven't posted lately but I've been sick. My blood pressure has been so high. I've had a constant headache for 3 weeks now!

I went back to the doctor today instead of Thursday because I had 2 nose bleeds today. My b/p was 172/122. She took me off Lotrel (my 6th medication!) and now I'm on Tarka. I go back on the 28th. If this medication doesn't bring it down then I'll go in the hospital.

I have missed you all bunches. I'll be back on tomorrow to post to each of you.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!!

Today is also Wayne & I wedding anniversay. 19 years today & I didn't even feel like eating out. But I cooked a nice meal at home for us.

I love & miss you all.........

Sherry:
I knew there must have been a reason for not hearing from you! I hope you are feeling better real soon and hope you don't have to go to the hospital.

Dick and I just went out to our cozy little Italian restaurant and had dinner in front of the fireplace. It's snowing here again and cold out so we are just going to go to bed - cuddle under the covers and be warm.

Sheridan:
How did you do on your exams????

Going over to the food diary thread and post and then off to bed.

Until tomorrow ...
Love, CJ

Sherry, that is so awful to hear!!! I hope your blood pressure goes down. Hospitals are no fun. Happy Anniversary!

CJ, I did okay on my exams. I should have been studying all along instead of waiting to the last minute and craming. It was over a month of material that I tried to study in a couple days (and three classes of a month of material at that). We will see. I say this EVERY time, but I am going to study a lottle bit everyday, so that it isn't so overwhelming when it comes time for tests. I have another exam to study for .

IS EVERYONE DEAD???? Check in with us from time to time, people!!!

-Sheridan
