    I got a big fat 0 yesterday. It was one of those icky days you have every so often and it was one of mine. I plan on getting on that treadmill as soon as I am done here.

    Susan: We will continue to pray for you and your husband. Our hearts go out to you at this time. As I have said before, my sister's husband has MS and I know the stress involved with a spouse who is debilitated.

  • My husband needed 2 pints of blood and he's doing much better and they sent him home. So I was thankful for that.

    I had 3 points yesterday - food and water.
  • That's Great! I'm so glad to hear that you got through to those fatheads! I have the same beef about dr.s that I have about bankers..! To them it's just some papework, but to US it's our LIVES!

    Don't they have to go through some kind of reminder training every 6 months or so? They should.. jeez!

    2 pts for me today.. too excited to stay OP.. the bank made a $100/mo error against us. I told her there is No Way we could afford it and to fix it or we will have to buy a different/less expensive house or re-think buying at all.

    They got back to me in less than an hour and said that it was fixed and that we were going with the same plan at the less expensive price and to ignore the $100/mo thing entirely. LOL! Guess they took me seriously. GOOD! Ha ha!

    I had a horrible eating day yesterday...no idea what set it off, but I just kept eating. Today's another day.

  • Good Morning gals! We came home yesterday, but I couldn't get in here. Our weekend turned out to be a big flop. They were having a 2 casino black jack tournament we didn't know about so the place was packed. We weren't having much fun so we just packed up and came home yesterday morning after breakfast.

    Not much news here. I am trying to get all the laundry done. They didn't have any non smoking rooms though I had requested it so we ended up in a smoking one and all our clothes, worn AND clean smelled like smoke so I am having to wash them all. We were on the top floor in the very last room of the hotel! On top of that, I had been down at a slot machine and came back up to find Jack at the door having gotten ice for the cooler and talked to him about going home. We rushed around and when we got home, Jack left me with the mess to go and get a tax program so we could get our taxes filed yesterday. I went to clean out the cooler and dopey had left the ice bucket in it so now I have to mail that back to them!!! I hope they don't charge us for it. We called them but Jack didn't take down the name of the person he talked to in case there is a problem about it.

    You girls have to rent the movie, Life as a House. It stars Kevin Kline and is a wonderful movie, but have the kleenex handy!

    I guess I better get started for the day. I bought yarn to start a brave project, my first sweater! Wish me good luck. If it works, I may make them for dd and dil for Christmas or make one for Thomas for Christmas.

  • MONDAY: Today is Mission Monday and our Mission this week is grains. Whole grains are a great source of fiber and aids in the overall weight loss plan. Eat cold cereal, oatmeals, whole grain breads and pastas as a regular part of your diet. They are not the enemy!

    I am having trouble posting girls so I don't know if this is going to set up correctly or not. I posted here Saturday and it showed that it posted (more than once in fact) but all weekend when I come back in here, it shows the same post on page one like no one has been here to post but on the "forum" page at the support group section, it shows a different post as the beginning post.

  • Morning All, I had an okay weekend, not feeling really well today, I over ate yesterday and my stomach is not used to that so I am feeling pretty bad today, indigestion, heartburn, etc ...

    Faye - what casino do you go to? my dh goes to a riverboat called Caesars
    ( I may not be spelling that right ) but I believe it is right over the Indiana line in Kentucky ... he has never won a whole lot there but he absolutely loves to go ... also I have seen that movie, it has been a while but I remember it was extremely good, and yes a tear jerker ...

    Well all I did lose another two pounds last week but I figure with all day eating Sunday I may have put it back on, oh well back to gym today ...

    Hubby and I were up all night cooking stuff in advance (freezable) for the big buffet we are doing on Saturday. I'm nervous because I don't know if I have enough for everyone or maybe they won't like it. I was fine until last night when it was cooked, but when I saw how much we made, I suddenly started thinking I might not have enough....
    Ah well. I'm calling some experts to pick their brains.. I still have 5 days..

  • Hello everyone. Had a bad weekend foodwise so no points for Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Back on track this morning. DH has been doing a little better so that helps. Take him to the doctor on Friday this week. My asthma has been bad and I had to go back on a 10-day Prednisone burst. It makes me so hungry I could eat wood. But at least my breathing is easing. The cold weather always gets me. Hope you are all doing well. I was down .5 last week, 4 pounds for the month.

    I've not been around for a few days as I've been ill - I am not sure if it was a bug or just overdoing it at the gym, but basically my body just packed up and I felt totally and utterly physically and mentally exhausted. I've had some time off from the gym which has really helped and I was back there over the weekend and I had alot more energy than I've had in weeks! I guess I have been working flat out at the gym since New Year - adding in an extra cycle class and the new fitball class - both of which are tough classes, and I think what finished me off was the swim - I am not used to it and those pools just breed all kinds of bugs and lurgies! Anyway, I am back on track now - not 100%, but getting there.

    My eating has been crap! Because my mood has been low too I've been comfort eating and have also been hungry alot and overeating on bread. I weigh in on Weds, but I am not looking forward to it as I am worried I will have gained!

    On a more positive note - I got my sexy knee high boots - they are beautiful, but I need to get used to walking in them as they are very high heeled! I also have been trying on clothes from 'normal' clothes shops and was really pleasantly suprised to find I fit easily into a normal shops size 20 skirt (US 16) - in fact the 20 is a little large on the waist, but I am not quite ready for the 18 (14). I have an 18 skirt in my wardrobe which I tried on yesterday - I can even get the zip up, but it's just a bit too tight a fit! What suprised me is that the last time I wore that skirt, I weighed around 182lb (I remember because it was the slimmest I've been in my adult life) - I now weigh 32lb more than that, but I can almost wear it! Isn't that mad? - that just goes to show how rubbish the scales are and how much more toned and slim I am despite what the scales show!

    FAYE - Sorry your weekend was a bit of a washout.

    SUSAN - Glad to hear dh is improving - I'll continue to pray for you both. I guess your asthma meds are steroids - they always make me hungry!

    CARRI - I had pizza last night and spent all night struggling with heartburn and indegestion - it also really affected my performance at the gym - I'd like to say I'll never do it again, but you and I both know that's never gonna happen!

    JULIE - Hope you are doing well and back OP.

    LEE - I don't envy you with all that cooking - it must be hard to estimate how much people will eat. I guess better too much than too little! I am terrible cooking for more than 3 people - I never do enough!
