Day Four Done!
I'm back from Long Island/Queens. The hotel did have a (very tiny) fitness center. I ended up doing 30 minutes on the stairmaster while watching part of "Skating with Celebrities." I was watching CNN, but this other lady came in and I foolishly told her she could change the channel to whatever she wanted. Then last night once I arrived home I did 30 minutes on the elliptical. I ate a *lot* while I was up there. Nothing really bad, but more than I normally eat because I had to eat at the hotel restaurant for dinner/b'fast and at the client's for lunch. So I need to figure out a gameplan for the upcoming weeks - or, i need to up my exercise to compensate:D
Red - I did not get into Manhattan this time around. We are working on arrangements for the future though. The client has corporate apartments in Peter Cooper Village/Stuyvesant and we are trying to see if something will be available for me. PCV/S is sort of in-between the East Village and Gramercy Park (if I looked at the map correctly). Freakybella - I agree about Kiefer! I don't normally watch "24," but caught it monday night. I was telling my sister that his current hotness completely vindicates me for maintaining my crush on him during his weird/bloated years. Johnny Depp, however, will ALWAYS be my favorite!   Hello to everyone! Have a great day! |
Day 8 no Beer:hat: :hat: :hat: :hat: :hat: :( :hat: :hat: :hat:
Day 4 exercise-I had a great exercise day, but I have to tell you about it later, I have to get going. I'll post more tonight...today is one of those days where all 3 kids have places to go ALL DAY LONG. So have a great day everyone and I'll see you tonight! |
Yesterday, Day 13.....24 mins. of hard cardio
Today, Day 14.....PAWS! |
 Just wanted to report that Day 6 has me adding another :carrot: to my Carrot Chorus Line!
I wasthisclose to adding one eensy teensy sugar packet to my oatmeal, but I told myself if I made it through the challenge I would let myself use 1 packet. The good ol' psych yourself out routine--by the end of the 21 days, I won't even want to put sugar on it  I used to pysch myself out when I was working out....work out for 30 minutes and I wouldn't have to work out the final 15---9 times out of 10 I would complete my whole 45 minutes. At home the no sugar thing is not a problem. Paul has joined in the no-sugar craze and we threw out our small box of sugar. Now if we are desperately needing it, we will walk to the store and get it (about 3/4 of a mile away). I haven't checked the scale lately, but my rings are getting looser :woo: . I've decided to wait until our anniversary (July) to have them resized and snazzied up a bit. I'm switching focus back to work, but wanted to update my siggie and wish everyone a great Wednesday! Congrats to all those forging forward with those mini-goals! Every little bit helps! :bravo: |

Tia, I see you're having some trouble there with your post and wanting to edit it. You can do that, instead of posting again. Just hit the edit button in the lower righthand corner of your post and change whatever you want to then hit "save changes" to go back to the thread or hit "preview changes" and, after you've checked it, then hit "save changes."
You can also go into a post the same way using the edit button and delete a post. That is near the top of the post and you have to first click the little circle that says "delete message" and then click where it says "delete this message." Oh, and depending on what version of browser you have or your computer you may have to hit edit and then hit "go advanced" to get to the delete place. I have a Mac and it's different apparently from Windows. As for keeping track, I have a calendar near the computer where I sometimes mark the days. That may be easiest. Another way is to always make a point of saying what day of the week it is and what day of your challenge you're on when you post. That way you only have to look back to your last post or somewhere around there if you're posting more than once and figure it out. Congrats on a successful liftoff, by the way!! :bravo: So, where are you on your other challenges, the walking one?, or was that an A-OK on both?! :sunny: |
Woooot!
WOOOOHOOO! :dancer: :dancer: First 21 Day Challenge Complete!!! :dancer: :dancer: WOOOOHOOO! Okay so my next challenge is not *directly* weight loss related - although it does indirectly have to do with weight loss. My new challenge is to get my lazy butt out of bed by 7am every morning - I am, however, allowed a nap on weekends as long as I have been out of bed at least 1 hour - this way I maintain my challenge but can still catch up on sleep on the weekends. This is partially so I can get to school earlier in the morning and get my work done at a reasonable hour, but also because the pool has morning swim hour from 7-8 and I want to start going - that will probably be my third challenge, but for now I'm just working on the waking up part! This is definitely a level 3 challenge as I am the biggest lazybones in the world. I have extra incentive to get up early in the morning, as I have an 8am meeting with the dean of my law school to discuss the *erp!* C that I got in his class last semester. This means not only do I have to be awake, but I also have to be bright eyed, bushy tailed, prepared, presentable and in control of myself enough not to do something incredibly embarassing like cry or fart in front of him. Puking on shoes would be bad, too - but not as bad as crying or farting in my book. That's all for now, as I have to get some work done so I can go home and watch American Idol - still not working out due to the knees - I was able to take a whole flight of stairs today but it hurt afterwards. Keep on Truckin! Erin :carrot: |
Day 9 is on the way.
Continuing the theme of little things. Hmm everything in life seems to add up. Stress adds up to a breakdown, calories to extra pounds, dirty unclean look to poor overall apperance, the list can go on. But today I am going to add up what we've been adding up since first grade.... inches! That's right. I made 13 measurements around my body.... ( for those pair ones I only counted each once), and my total inch loss was 14.81 inches in 37 days! That's 1.14 inches at each measurement!!!! I am so glad, and yes I can tell that most loss was on my legs, hence pants are fitting slightly looser. On a separate note, based on lunar cycles Jan29 through Feb. 15 is decreasing of the moon and during that time anything that was gained will be hard to lose! That kind of sucks for me, as a friend of mine moved her b-day due to my business trip from Jan28 to Feb.4th, which falls right in this range...but may be I will be able to loose the darn 7-8pounds before my denver trip...who knows, time will tell. |
