Wow, all day and no posts.... Just got two cats to the vet. So hectic. Harried day at work.... sigh.
|
Hey girls, i meant to post yesterday but things got real busy :dizzy: I just got back from my therapy session and just when things started to get easier they go and up my weights and repetitions....I guess it's got to keep getting harder to strengthen me up eh? It's a pain though. I'm actually looking forward to going back to the orthopedic doc and seeing if I improved enough to stop the therapy. I know I probably sound like a lazy butt right?
Michael's class has a talent show this afternoon and he will be the emcee. I'm lugging a full cooler of canned juice and bottled water for refreshments afterwards. I don't think I can carry the cooler up the classroom steps though... gotta do more of these :strong: Red, ya know, this thread kind of waxes and wanes, please don't feel like we're ignoring you :) I hope your cats are just going in for regular check ups and nothing serious? How're your articles coming along? Julie, butterscotch chips? :T Yum! Well I caved yesterday and ate 2 slices of Michael's b-day cake. I threw out the other half though, it was tempting me something awful. Then after I ate those 2 slices all the sugar did a number on my stomach and I wasn't a very happy person the rest of the day (where's the 'feels like puking' smiley when you need one?) I'm with you on eating real food and not those protein bars. Sometimes they are good for on the run kind of days but mostly I prefer to eat something good. Angie, I'm so proud of you for not giving up. It's not easy losing weight and it's definitely a mind game. I'm not trying to sabotage you or anything, but maybe you're not eating enough calories? I mean, I'm not trying to convert you either, but on WW they allow you a certain number of 'points' per day according to your body weight. You have to eat the minimum number of points each day and you can earn more if you do exercises...but anyway, I've found that if I don't eat all my points consistently and exercise like regular, I don't lose as much that week. When I force myself to eat all the points I'm allowed, drink all my water and follow the plan to a T, those are the weeks where I can drop 3 lbs. It's weird, but sometimes I feel like I'm eating so much and yet the weight just comes off! Cherie, glad your docs appt. went well, I know we all hate those appointments! It's nice to have a sensitive doctor though, I really hate those with no bedside manner. How are you doing with those spacers? Stay away from chewy food or they may just get pulled out--it happened to me  Dips, wow your massage guy is 6'7"??? Hehe, one of the guys that works on me is actually about an inch shorter than I am--but he has good hands  Hey, with your motivation running high you will win that competition despite your lazy partner. And those Krispy Kremes? You gotta do what you gotta do sometimes right? Kempy, hope you're enjoying yourself out there  Cal, TGIF!!! So do tell about your adventures last weekend. :) So is anyone watching this season's American Idol show? Did you hear about those twins that made it to Hollywood, only to get arrested for identity theft in their home state? That's too bad too, because they had great voices. Well, gotta get ready for that talent show....chat later! |
Thanks, Noelle. I will try to post again soon.
|
Well, Today is weigh day and I am going to weigh in. I GAINED 1 1/2 pounds this week!!! I have not been screwing up at all. I had some WOW chips with low fat onion dip on 2 evenings for a snack and that is all!!! I am so pissed right now. So I guess I would have to say NO, I am not lucky because the weight is just melting right off. I am working my *** off and it isnt moving. I weigh the exact same weight as I did 3 weeks ago and I have been working hard to lose. Sorry to rant on and on but geesh!! So, I am going to take today completely off and start fresh Sunday. Maybe that will trick my metabolism or something. I dont know what else to do.
My sister found a little black pomeranian out front of her house last night. She called me at about 9 last night and said she heard a truck slam on its breaks and then drive off. She thought maybe her cat got hit so she went outside to check. She saw a small dog under her car and coaxed her out and brought her inside. I would say she doesnt even weigh 3 pounds. She is so sweet because of course we went down to see her. I gave her a bath because she smelled like cigs(GROSS!) and Wendy is going to go around today to see if she can find an owner anywhere. Why a dog that color and size would be out at night alone I would like to know. I am going to take her down some food in a minute and see her. We brought Rebel in and it was so funny. He didnt know whaat to do with a dog so small. She chased him everywhere and tried to get him to play and she humped him too. My poor boy....so violated. |
Hey girls, what's shakin' this Saturday? We took Michael to watch the movie Hoodwinked last night...the story of Red Riding Hood from the perspective of each of the characters, it was funny but not as good as say, Toy Story  I'm not up to much today, just doing laundry and puttering around the house. I had a tuna sandwich and some chicken noodle soup for lunch :hun: Just your basic, boring Saturday
Angie, I feel your pain sister. You can get mad, but just get going back on track tomorrow. You are doing the right things and eventually the weight will come off, sometimes the scale is just a really evil thing. Do you think that pom was dumped by the person in the truck or did it just wander to your sis' house from a neigbors? I'm glad she found it and not some animal hater. I can just picture that tiny little dog trying to hump Rebel  poor guy! :coach: OK the rest of you girls, roll call! |
Hi Girls, I am feeling pretty sick. My poor son threw up yesterday and has the same cold. Oh well what are you going to do when you have one in preschool and the other in kindergarten? They pass colds every other week. I have been snacking less so that is good.
Angie I agree with Noelle, you are doing all the right things and don't worry that scale will start moving down again soon! Noelle I wanted to take the kids to Hoodwinked....maybe next weekend, it won't be so crowed then anyway. Hi everyone else out there. Take care and have a nice rest of the weekend. |
This week felt so long. Why is it that having a Monday off makes the week feel longer????:?:
I got progress reports out (we give them out every 2 weeks). Amazing...the kids started asking what they can do to bring up their grades. "Do the work and hand it in...on time!!!" Simple enough...don't you think??? Noelle: We had a great time last weekend. We stayed at the Paradise Pier Hotel on the 13th floor. (Yes, they actually had a 13th floor). It was wonderful to just walk across the street and through the Californian hotel and the private entrance to California Adventure...no lines. We went on nearly every ride in just 2 days; on the ferris wheel, we were even able to stay on and ride twice because there wasn't anyone in line. Ashley even went on Tower of Terror with Bert. She was afraid, but now says it was fun and she wants to go on it again. I even bought the picture of her on the ride...she looked terrified. I never did find the collage. Maybe next time. My brother and his family were there as well; they stayed at the Grand Californian. I prefer the Paradise Pier. The next time you go there, you should consider it. Angie: You are doing great. I know it can be so frustrating for the scale to not move, or to move in the wrong direction. I don't even own a scale. The only time I know what I weigh is when I go to the doctor. I have a size goal and I work for that. My lean weight is so high that the scale will never be good to me...so I don't own one. I've never even been tempted to step on the one at my sister's house either. I have been thinking about joining WW with Noelle. My neighbor is going to do it and we are thinking about doing this together. Power in numbers!!! Hello to everyone else. I don't have time to do individual posts right now as I have about 6 assignments (from 6 classes) to finish grading. Have a great rest of the weekend. Cal |
Good Morning Everyone!!! Monday.... it's going to be a better Monday than most.. I think I have finally found some motivation!
This weekend, I didn't do much of anything. Friday night, I went to the movies alone and saw Brokeback Mountain. It was a beautiful movie, and the actors were great, however, I just didn't feel the cowboy love. :-) Yesterday I saw Kinsey, and that is to say the least, was a much more interesting movie.. Liam Neelson and his friend were much more believable in the "boy love" than Jake and Heath were. For the rest of the weekend, I just stayed at home and vegged. Last night I did get the rest of my laundry finished and my house organized. For just this week, I plan on trying to get on the treadmill every day, eat healthy and keep my house organized and really work on the dog potty training. Angie.... you know that 1 1/2 pound gain isn't FAT.... its muscle and water weight girl.. just keep working.. you are doing such a great job and you all are being so inspirational!!! Oh... back when I was about 19.... on my way home from work, I almost ran over a red Pomerainian... I stopped.. and let her get out of the way.. and then I started driving again.. and she started following my car. So I stopped again, and opened up my door.. and she came right to me and jumped in. I took her home, because I knew that road she was on was going to get her killed before the night was over, everyone from the factory was getting off work and it was a really busy road. Anyway.. she was all dirty and had fleas.. so I washed her and looked to see if I could ever find anyone who claimed her, but no one did.. I ended up calling her Toto... and when I moved back with my mom and Stepdad... they took her over. She lived with them for about another 8 years before she died. They are great dogs! Julie... I hope you and your son start feeling better. I've been lucky so far, no major illnesses for either the girls or myself this winter. Cal.. your trip sounded so nice.... good luck with getting your grading done! Noelle.. sounds like your knee is getting better... they wouldn't give you extra reps if they didn't think it would help you and if you couldn't handle it! How was Michael's emcee job?? :-) I bet that was cute! Red.... Hey there! How was your weekend? I hope you got to relax some, and I hope your cats are doing OK.... you are brave to take them both at the same time! I remember trying to take my cat in the car to the vet, and he would just make the most horrible noise, you would think I was killing him with all that howling and moaning.... Kempy... Hey there... hope you are doing well.. Dips.. how is your baby doing? OK.. back to work here..... Talk to you guys soon! Cherie |
Hmmm... what is this with the red and black Pomeranians?!?!? freaky stuff going down here!!!
|
Good morning girls. We had some major thunderstorm last night and I actually had a dream that I was on a ship and it was getting tossed around in the ocean  :yikes: There is more heavy rain forecast for the rest of the day so I will probably stay indoors. Yesterday we went to the local mall to look at some displays that the Catholic schools put up of the kids' work. Michael didn't have anything displayed but my 8 y.o. niece had this neat table-top model of the solar system. I called my sis and congratulated her for doing a good job  Then she told me that she actually got the model from a friend at work whose kid had made it....duh! False advertising! **Oh, and Michael did a bang-up job as emcee for the talent show. It made me laugh a little because at some point he reminded me of Ben Stein as Ferris Bueller's teacher taking roll call--remember that???
 Cherie, glad you got your motivation back :carrot: I know you can get on that treadmill like you want...what shows are on this week? :) I was thinking about you and your training for that half-marathon. I was supposed to do this 8+ mile walk next month but I don't think my knee can go that long :( Last thing I want to do is mess it up again. I haven't seen either of those movies you mentioned yet (I think I was a bit embarrassed to rent Kinsey at Blockbuster a while back  ) but when I sign up for Netflix it's going on my list ;) You were so sweet to rescue that pom and wow, 8 years of companionship for your mom and stepdad, that's just awesome. Red, how's your personal 21-day challenge coming along? Has this New Year gotten off to a positive start for you? :) Cal, I will look into Paradise Pier for next time :) I am so proud of Ashley for getting on that Tower of Terror. Bert is a great aunt! You know the secret to that ride? It's WAY more fun if you don't hold on, just go with the flow. We all love it too. I don't think we'll be getting out to Anaheim any time soon but we will be saving up for Michael's 10th b-day and maybe heading to Disney world ( 3 years!). I would highly recommend WW, as you know I can't stop raving about it. It doesn't feel like a 'plan' and it really is a lifestyle change. Go for it! :) Julie, I hope both you and your DS are feeling better real quick :lucky: and that DD or DH doesn't catch it as well! I tried Airborne (an herbal/vitamin fizzy tablet) while on vacation to Vegas (both on the plane and while in the casinos), and even though I got a touch of a stuffy nose and sore throat during the trip, it only lasted a day or 2. You may wanna try it. The lime flavor tastes best to me. There's even a kids version as well  Take care of yourself :) Angie, how was your weekend? Did anyone claim the pom? Kempy, are you back at work today? I'm looking at my MK catalog...I will let you know this week OK? anywho, gotta get ready for therapy (pain!) Have a good day everyone. |
:listen:Hello (hello hello hello)
:sorry: Anybody out there? (there there there???) Echo (echo echo echo) :comp: :bubbles: :( |
Hi Girls, how is everyone? I have been taking care of sick kids, yesterday I took ds to the doctor and she thought maybe pneumonia because he had wheeze in his lung but the xray came out okay so they gave him an inhaler to help with the coughing fits and my poor dd has broken out with hives all over her body! What a mess, huh? Oh well I think they are getting better. Anyway since my TOM has passed I have shed two pounds....no more butterscotch chips for me.
Noelle I had to laugh when you said Ferris Bueller. I have watched that movie probally a hundred times. I love all of those movies like Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, Breakfast Club and I love Better Off Dead. Oh the 80's! Cherie I like your plans for the week. Those are things I should be working on too. Angie I saw something on tv last night about plateaus. It said you need to add short high impact to your workout routine. Like if you are walking, walk at a normal pace and they speed walk and then go back to normal pace. I know you are excercising so hard though. Keep going you are doing great! Cal your trip sounds nice! That is quite often for progress reports. It nice for the parents but alot of work on you I bet. Kempy how are things going? Dips how is the puppy doing? Gotta run girls. Have a great day and I will check back later. |
Good Morning.... Noelle.. I had a reply yesterday, but 3FC froze up on me, gave me an error page and when I tried to go back, I lost my entry and was too frustrated to rewrite it... Sorry.. :-)
Julie.. I hope your kiddos start feeling better soon.. Poor babies... Yesterday went well for me... stayed on track with my food and got in 3 miles on the treadmill. This afternoon, I go to the orthodontist (Hannah went this morning) for some more fittings and molds and what not... one more week before I get the full metal mouth syndrome. :( After that, I take my dog to the vet.. for some shots and to see how big she is now.. she is really growing alot.. and I can tell she is starting to lighten up, she is losing the black from around her nose and the rust color coat is turning more light brown. My baby is growing up! :D I wish we would get some thunderstorms here.. it really hasn't rained any in the last 6 months, and everything is so dry. However, I can't complain about the temps... its currently 57... so that is nice. OK.. back to work here.... gotta finish a spreadsheet.. payroll is being ran tomorrow! Talk to you guys later! Cherie |
 Hi girls, glad to see you around again.
Julie, your poor babies! What's going on??? I know you are taking great care of them though. I'm so glad your DS didn't have pneumonia. Did your DD get something for the hives? How are you feeling? Congratulations on your 2 lbs gone :cp: You will get to that goal by summer! I love that Ferris Bueller movie too. It's one of my all-time favorites, besides Stand By Me. I remember going to the movies with my girlfriends and seeing those other ones too... remember how weird Ally Sheedy was making snow dandruff in the Breakfast Club? :fr: Yuck! My sis was just telling me that there will be a remake of the movie The Outsiders. Did ya see that one back in 83? Cherie, how big do Wheatens get? Are you and Hannah getting ortho treatment at the same time? Hey, good going on staying on track! :) It's hard I know, but we CAN do this! :strong: Dips, you gotta come in here and post girl. I need some more of your positive vibes :goodvibes: How's your workouts coming along? Angie, don't be hiding out on us...or do I have to come up there and find you? Good advice from both Cherie and Julie. You are doing great. Cal, Red and Kempy.....hope you're all having a great day. Hope to hear more from y'all. Later! |
Hey guys, I am still here. Daisy has had diarrhea since we brought her home but we just chalked it up to the change in food. We werent sure it was her as I have never actually caught her afterwards to confirm. She sneezed every so often as well so I figured that was because of the different animals. I am not so sure now. The last few days the poop has had blood in it. Not much just a little streak or so. This morning I got up and scooped her box and put a sample in a bowl so that we could have the vet check it and then she was so sick acting. She threw up and was pooping almost bloody mucous. Jay ran her down to the vet. (We got a new one after Tinky died just to make me feel more comfortable) So he checks her poop for worm and there were none and he felt her stomach and said he could feel something in it so he thinks it is a blockage and to keep an eye on her for the next day or so and if she is still throwing up then he will do surgery! HUH? Shouldnt he have done an xray? So anyways while Jay was gone I got searching on the internet for symptoms and the only thing I can find is FIP. That will kill her if it is what she has but it fits. What am I going to do if I have to watch her die? She has only been here for 2 weeks and I am already so attached to her. The info said that if a cat shows symptoms then they will die within a month or 2. I hope I am overreacting and she has nothing wrong with her but I am so scared.Other than the diarrhea and occasional sneezing she has been fine up until this morning. After her pooping so much this morning she seems fine now. She climbed the condo and is napping, she has been purring when I pet her etc.
|
Angie, I can't believe there was no xray done either? I mean it may find the problem without having to do surgery. I hope the kitty gets better soon! Keep us updated.
Cherie great job staying on track. I hope the fittings are not to uncomfortable. I got a mold done for my mouth night guard, it wasn't to bad but I can't believe all the stuff they put in my mouth. How is the crate training going? Don't the pups grow so fast? Noelle I bought some benadryl for her. The doctor said she is seeing some kids come in with colds and stuff and the other siblings breaking out in hives? Some weird cold virus I guess. Yup, I remeber the outsiders. A remake? Wow that should be good. Well I just ate lunch I had a grilled cheese and some grapes. So I am planning on having a snack later so I don't go crazy hungry eating at dinner. Check back later. Hi All! |
Hi Angie. I'm so sorry to hear about Daisy. I do hope the vet gives her an all clear and she gets to go home all nice and healthy. I don't know much about FIP or anything but I do know that you take good care of your pets and they are so lucky to have you as their mom. Try not to worry so much  and let us know what happens.
|
Hey all, it's me again ;) I went to my weigh-in today and am down .8 lbs. Not much but at least it's in the right direction!!! A total of 28.5 lbs down baby :carrot: This not being able to walk all those miles like I want to is really affecting my progress, but! I am healing and I will be back to 100% in a few weeks time I hope :crossed: I am soooooo hoping to get back into one-derland soon. Gotta scoot and pick up my boy from school.
Have a good evening! |
Go, Noelle!! :cp:
|
That is great Noelle:bravo:
|
Hey guys! I have been back since Sunday night but I have not had time to even sit down long enough to read the posts. I am going to go back and read them when I have a chance. The camp was lots of fun. It is just so beautiful up there. I am going to try and find a few pics for you so you can see what we have right outside our back door at the camp. I hope all is going well. I am still stuck at the 6lbs mark and I am not certain what to do now. I am hoping that my body is just at a platue.

Here is a shot looking down at the lake right at sunset. I hope you can make it out. The other one is Echo sleeping in our bed. Talk about spoiled!

Well, Joe deleted the pics by accident. That is the main reason I love my 35mm camera. I can delete the pics. Here are a few of the pics we have. The first one is Echo's b-day. Man did she love that cake. The second one is the last puppy we had, Tess. We had to do the Christmas tree shot with her. It was not easy getting her to sit still and not move.

Kempy.. those are great doggie pictures.. they don't look very happy with their antlers on... poor babies! But they are such beautiful dogs! Glad you had a great time on your trip.
Angie... I hope your kitty gets better.... what a shame... sending out get well vibes to her! Noelle... WTG on losing weight! That is great... any loss is better than a gain!!! Hey Red! Julie.. how are the kiddo's feeling today? Dips.... Hiya! Well... Tell me this is worth it. Getting Braces... cause right now.. my mouth hurts and I am whiney and all I have in it is four spacers on my upper teeth, and two metal bands glued to two lower molars. I can't eat.. which could be a good thing, but I am so addicted to eating that I still WANT the food.. even though it's not an enjoyable and comforting experience right now. Last night I made myself eat all my dinner, cause it was something I loved... but this morning, I decided that was BS... so when I tried to eat my scrambled eggs with cheese and ham, and it was uncomfortable.. I pushed it away. I mean that is a victory for me there in eating.. but man.. it was hard... Next week, I get the rest of the metal for my mouth.. and I really hope I can get used to it. Cause right now.. it just sucks. OK.. well, I am in the middle of running payroll.. I just wanted to check in real quick.. sorry for being a whiney butt.... I just keep thinking.. it WILL BE WORTH IT! Talk soon... Cherie |
Cherie how long do you have to wear them? I have a cross bite and they would have to break my jaw to fix that. So, that is not going to be happening anytime soon. It really isn't that bad but if I get TMJ too badly they will want to do it I can guarentee. I told Joe that if I was in a car wreck to get it done then, otherwise there is no way I am breaking my jaw to fix something that really doesn't bother me. I am sure that you will get used to them but at least you will have an easier time staying OP.
|
I am getting a quad helix put in to spread my upper palete, that goes on the inside of the teeth. I am getting full braces on the outside, and where I have a missing tooth, they are going to place a spring to open the space back up so they can insert an implant. Orthodontist said it could be anywhere from 18 to 24 months that I have this crap in my mouth. So... MAYBE.. I can lose weight soon! :D My youngest daughter has a small cross bite, but I don't know yet what the plan of action will be for her... she still hasn't lost any baby teeth... But, her mouth is crowded, so I see braces in her future as well.
|
Hey, what are you guys doing to make the ticker work. I don't think I am doing it right. I think I might need a step by step list of things to do. Thanks
|
Never mind it just worked.
|
Hey There! Stopping to say Hi before I leave to pick DD up from school.
Cherie you poor thing, but it will all pay off in the end with a beautiful smile! As for my kiddos dd's hives are gone and I sent ds to school but got a call to come pick him up. That darn cough is bad. Maybe one more day of rest. Kempy great pics. The sunset is breathtaking. Gotta run. Have a wonderful rest of the day! |
Kempy, Nice pics. I love the birthday cake one. I make a special donut for the dogs on their birthdays.
Noelle, My sis is keeping the pom. She named her Tootsie because her poops are the size of tootsie rolls. Poor dog. I tried to get her to name her destiny because that is how she came to them. The dog just loves Haley my neice. She follows her everywhere. Wendy takes her inside every store. I dont think the dog even weighs 2 pounds. She is that small. Did I mention that she is blind in one eye? (OOPS, I just talked to her and they changed the name to Pepper now.) I am not sure what is up with Daisy. She has pooped twice today so I guess she isnt blocked yet. She has had diarrhea since we got her but I assumed it was because of the switch in food but the vet couldnt find anything wrong with her fecal so I am not sure why she was so sick yesterday. I guess I have to wait and see. She has been fine today and all last night she tore through the house. We found a nice 5th wheel that we would like to get. It is a 2004 Forest River Wildcat 27RL. We are playing hardball with the dealer to see if we can score a really good winter deal but I dont think he is going to budge any more. We will see. I havent been exercising this week. No time really with worrying about Daisy but the scales are at least moving in the right direction again. Hopefully they stay that way till Saturday. Julie, I hope your kiddos are feeling better soon. I remember all the colds when mine started headstart. :yikes: It seems like every tape we watch of them we are all sniffling. Cherie, I hope your mouth feels better soon. Red, Hi  Dips, Where are ya? |
Hi girls. I had a therapy session this morning and they replaced some exercises with others --harder ones! In fact, the therapist says maybe next Monday may be my last session until I see the doc again. :carrot: I'm glad though, it really eats up a lot of my time. My computer at home took a nosedive so I'm trying to reformat the hard drive, so no online stuff for me at home for a while.
Kempy, those are GREAT pictures--I love that purple/pink sunset...that place must set the stage for some steamy romantic encounters eh? :flame: Did you guys make Echo's cake or did you buy it from a doggie bakery? We have some specialty dog shops here that bake dog treats and sell clothes and stuff, it's crazy. I wouldn't have my jaw fixed (or broken) if it wasn't bothering me either... Cherie, I know those darn braces hurt like heck right now but it will be worth it in the long run. Once all the bands get put on you'll probably be uncomfortable for a few days, but believe me, that pain goes away fast and you can go back to eating like normal. I used to work for a periodontal and implant specialist for about 5 years, implants are great for keeping your dental bone healthy too. I know Michael will probably need braces later on because Rick's side of the family has a small arch and an overbite. I had a tiny bit of a buck tooth problem going on when I was around 11 but I got braces right away so that wasn't an issue thank Gawd! Julie, hope your son feels better real quick. Are you watching the new season of AI? I've been watching on and off but it's not really grabbing me yet. I'll probably get into it once they're in Hollywood. Angie, any word on Daisy? I hope the vet gave you some positive news. I'm thinking about you. Hi Dips, Cal, Red and everyone. I have to get moving on some work here. Chat with y'all later. |
Oh yeah, I wanted to throw this out at ya for suggestions or comments...
My 11th wedding anniversary is coming up next month and Rick and I were talking about what we should get each other. At first he mentioned a gym membership  , which would be VERY practical, but I don't know how often I'd use it if he didn't come along.... then he said "How about getting matching tattoos?". Now we both already have at least one tattoo. Mine is pretty well concealed since it's on my left shoulder/back area. I was more keen to the tattoo idea but I wanted to ask if any of you have any tattoos and what they are or what the significance was? I would NOT get his name inked onto my body nor would I want him to do my name on his (i've heard that's bad luck  ). Anyone have any ideas? |
Good Morning everyone.... TGIT... :-) I can almost smell the weekend. Thanks everyone for the concern about my mouth.. I know it will get better and I know it will be worth it. I just don't think I'll be talking as much (not that I really talked much anyway) anymore, at least until I get used to it. The friction on my tongue is really sore so it will just take some time.
On the up side... my eating had drastically decreased. I had soup for lunch and dinner last night.. and that is what is planned for today, along with my oatmeal I am eating now for breakfast. My scale is moving down just a smidgen... so with that, and me getting my butt back on the treadmill (2x down this week, gonna lick a third one this afternoon) I should start seeing some really good health benefits. :-) Noelle.. I hope you knee is getting better! As for the anniversary present... I won't be any help where the tattoos are concerned. I don't have one and neither does Alan. My ex had one on the back of his shoulder... but he had that before we met, so I kinda forgot about it most of the time. I would take the gym membership.. ONLY if he would go with you.. it's so difficult going alone. Angie... I hope Pepper has a much better life now. Poor baby... and that sounds about right for the weight of her... they are tiny, YAPPING little dogs! My stepdad is a chiropractor, and he used to tuck Toto up under his arm every morning and take her to his office. She would greet all his patients, and everyone loved her. Good Luck on getting a better deal on the 5th wheel.. I know you guys want one really bad! OK.. well, I am here at work.. gonna get busy for the day. This afternoon I have a dentist appointment to have my teeth cleaned/checked... then I am going home to do my treadmill stuff and vaccuum. :-) Have a great day.. and I'll check back in later! Hey guys. I stayed home today so I can work on my taxes. And look were I am. :D
Julie how is the dog doing? Noelle the sunset is great but the camp is too muc of a family thing to feel romantic. Once we build our own I think it will be different. Right now there is a HUGE room that sleeps 8 so no lovin' goin' on. As far as the cake goes we were bad and bought it from the grocery store. She loved it though. She didn't eat the icing flower though which I thought was pretty funny. It is amazing who picky she is for a dog. Angie I hope you guys get the 5th wheel. I would still love to own an RV. I just love to see new stuff. When we go on the cruise we have to drive to Tampa which is a good 10 hours from here. We are going with our neighbors so it should be fun. We are going to make a stop in Disney though so that will make me feel better. I havn't been since i was 12. I thought i was too cool to be there too. What a stupid kid I was. Cherie I love soup. I made some WW hot & sour soup the other night and I am still eating on it. Joe doens't really care for it so it is all mine! Can you eat smoothies? That might help with the variety. Where is everyone, Red, Dips, Cal? I guess I really need to work on the things that I am supposed to be doing. I'll be back later. |
Oh yeah, Noelle. Joe and I both have tatts. I have 2 though. The last one we were supposed to get together but I had a little to much to drink and did it without him. He pisks on me about it still. I have a sun and the eye of Ra. I hate to say it but I love the sun so that is why I have those. I say, if you are going to USE the gym get that but if you are like me and know that you will not go then don't waste the money. I still want Joe and I to have matching tatts.

:) Hi Girls
Noelle I don't have a tattoo and my dh does not have one either. I think it is a cool idea if you guys want to go for it. I would get a gym membership if my dh would go with me but time is kind of working against us lately. It would be nice to use here in the winter. Maybe when both kids are in school full time next year. That reminds me I asked dh what he wanted to do for our anniversary in the beginning of April, he was like duh....I don't know? After nine years of marriage he better come up with something! I watched AI last night and you are right it is just not that great yet. I guess I like it when they get to Hollywood and get the goofy aauditions out of the way. Cherie, I remeber when I had the flu about 7 years ago my mom had made me a huge pot of soup and I ate it for several days I dropped a few pounds. And after eating that for awhile it seemed like my stomach got smaller and I could not eat as much pasta and stuff at one time. SO I think I should get back into making soup. I use to make a big pot on Sundays and take it to work for the week. MMMM....Chicken Vegetable with Noodles, Beef and Barley and Hamburger Soup. Good Luck at the dentist this afternoon! Kempy the dog is doing well. She did great for her spaying. Her incision looks great. I thought I had her potty trained but she was in the living room with me the other night and about 2 feet away from me she pottied! SHe had just went out to pee minutes before. Taxes not fun! Hope it goes smoothly. Angie I hope the 5th wheel works out, I know you guys love those. I would like to take a road trip someday. No hotels would be kind of nice. Hi Red, Cal and Dips. Dryer just went off so I guess that is my calling. Dd wants McDonalds for lunch and I think I will have some leftover chili. I want to call about getting my haircut too. I have a gift certificate from my birthday yet. I don't know if I want to use it yet though because I wanted to get some highlights closer to Spring. Have a GREAT day! Check back later |
Hey people. Thanks for asking about me. I speed read the posts these days but just am too busy and my other thread, which I organize and have to keep rolling, takes up so much of my time I have no time to spend here. Sorry. Also, I am simply not able to get a concerted weight-loss effort going now and I must say I am a bit overwhelmed by all your constant success! ;)

I have just a second before my water starts to boil but I remembered that I FORGOT to congratulate Noelle on her weight loss!!!
YEAH NOELLE!!!!!!!! YOU ARE AWESOME!!!! :carrot:  :carrot: :high: :cheer: I will be back after I get supper done to post more. |
OMG You guys don't know how much I need you... I feel on the verge of a freakin' nervous breakdown. I hate being self-employed, at least in this line of work. My desk is piled high with paperwork and I know it's my fault for not coming in everyday but some things are just stressing me out. I actually feel like an anxiety attack coming on. I have to remind myself *breathe in, breathe out* It was getting so bad that I actually got online and was looking at Catholic schools in the Las Vegas area--I just want to sell this business and move! I don't think Vegas would be such a great choice as far as environment but it was the first thing that came to mind since we go there so often anyway... I guess I am calmer now, but I still wanna burn this place down :censored: :flame: :fr:
Angie, thanks!!! That really helped, I was just talking to Rick on the phone while he was ordering his lunch--a big old FAT Hawaiian plate with laulau, kalua pig and lomi salmon--there's like over 3000 cals in the laulau and kalua pig. I was feeling jealous and contemplating going to get me something 'good' but BAD to eat and you just made me think twice ;) Thanks, I think I'll take a break from this madness and go home and have something totally legal and yummy. Hi to everyone else, don't work to hard or you'll get crazy like me...I'll be back later and hopefully a little more sane. |
MMMM Julie, beef barley soup sounds great right about now...we've got buckets of rain coming down still... thanks for the idea.
