Good morning everyone.... I am having to practically drag my butt in here every day... I am so not motivated and feeling so blah.... and I should be doing something if I am here.. and I am not.. :-(
Red... your pets are great.. I love the dog. I grew up with a boston terrier, and that is what I thought of when I saw Ume. I am so glad its the weekend. Last night I took my girls and the neighbor girl to the Girl Scout skating party. That will just wear you out. No.. not the skating, cause I didn't skate, just being around so many screaming little girls! :-) Anyway... I am just popping in.... talk soon. |
Sorry I posted yesterday and then nevert came back. I started working on my MK stuff and it took too long.
Dips we are not going to the bahanas. We are going to leave from Tampa and hit Belize, Cozumel, Grand Caman, and Costa Maya. I am so looking forward to that. I know you will have fun wherever you are too. Red I don't know if you know but my cat can only see out of one eye. He was born with a diformed eye and it is all off center. It is pretty funny when he tries to jump from things he isn't too sure about. He is just kind of off in the depth department. This is probably a weird question but when you write do you have to do it in Japanese? Please don't laugh but I just don't know. Cherie I still havn't seen HP yet. I read the books and I just love them. I usually wait for them to come out of the theaters though. I like to watch movies at home. I would think they would frown upon me watching in my Pj's and Joe in his underwear. :D Julie did you ever get your sun? How are things going in the weight loss department? Angie where are you today? I thought for sure that you would have posted. Joe asked me the other day if I have actually talked to any of you guys and I told him that you are the only one so far. I guess it is strange chatting with someone for what is it, 3 years now and never really talking to them. Cal who many days until you leave? I have the calender on a count down now for the cruise. Noelle now don't go having another injury so you can stay in PT. My luck I would do that and I would get stuck with Brunhilda (sp) Well, I am still going pretty good on WW. The scael went down again so it is 7.5 lbs so far. I tried to make my ticker but I read whan Noelle said about it not working right now. This stuff is really working for me. Last year when Joe and I were trying to lose weight it took me 8 weeks to lose this much and now it is just falling off. I know it will probably slow down but I hope it at least keeps up. Now, I need to go find something to eat for dinner. I hope to hop back on later. |
Kempy -- Yes, I was wondering where you had got to.....
Your's is not a strange question at all. No, I don't write stories in Japanese. That would be too hard, though I could and then get it touched up. My stories are for publication usually in English or I write in English and then they are translated into Japanese. I hadn't known about your cat. I had thought one eye would give depth perception problems. The vet said it wouldn't matter much and this cat has jumped on top of the cage with no problem. I think it makes a difference if they were born with one eye or lose it later. Harry Potter movies I can't stand, but then again, I only saw the first one and I don't think I was in the mood for it at all. However, be forewarned that the movies are not at all like the books. I liked the books a lot and the movies have now ruined the books for me. The movies are all abbreviated and simplified and emphasis is on other things than in the book. The attraction between Harry and that girl is not there in the book, or, it was, it was not played up. The movies just look too childish to me, whereas the books were full of so much more. I have not seen Lord of the Rings for the very reason that I did like the book. I think it is always a disappointment to read the book first, better to read it after seeing the movie and be in for a pleasant surprise at all the more there is. I have talked with people I have met on 3fc. I don't know. It's a strange feeling, kind of scary, but I think not so much if you've seen pictures of them before on the site. I guess it is kind of strange not to have talked with people when you live in the States but as everyone lives in another country to me, I find it more unusual to have talked with someone. Great going on the weight loss! I am once again have too many things to do and not enough time for me. I hate that. My ideal would be to have lots of leisure time. I would be so buff! I love working out and feeling physical, hate that my work involves sitting on my A in front of a computer more often than not. Ok, gotta run, in to the hated office now. I have gone totally "barn sour" on the office. Even yesterday, I was not really sick and could have gone in, but the thought of it was too irritating. I knew I would have lost it with someone as I did on Monday. I just cannot stand being there and trying to be pleasant when I despise the entire operation. At midnight last night I got an email message on my phone (didn't see it till this morning though) from a coworkers girlfriend, asking if I had been out drinking with him (as we often are) and if there had been any trouble. This is the kid that got arrested and I helped to get out after only 10 days. I know he was on alone yesterday because I took off and things would have been tough but I hope he didn't get in trouble due to that. Sigh. If I had an alternative to that place I would jump at it. As it is, I see none and they do my visa too. Even now, as I sit here getting ready to go in, I dread it. I really hate it. Oh, drat, stiff upper lip...you can do it!!! Ciao all! |
Hi girls, I tried posting earlier but my posts kept getting eaten up in cyberspace  Anyway, just wanted to say hello. I'm going to take a nap now then go on my walk later. I've noticed I'm more tired in the afternoon after my 2 hr therapy session. i've got bruises on my right thigh from that darn deep tissue massage...fingerprints!
Kempy, if you go to the Announcements and Forum help thread section, there's a thread about the problem with signatures. Apparently they are trying something new--limiting your signature to your first post only if you post multiple times on a thread. There is also a poll to gauge whether 3FC members would like the signatures to appear on each post (like usual) but be limited to the number of characters in your signature line OR to only allow the siggie to appear once on the thread. If you guys haven't already voted on it, go to the thread here! http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72166 if you wanna read about the changes, go here: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71887 Oh yeah, and congrats on your continued WW progress. Isn't it weird how easy it seems? That's a good thing! Red, I love the name Shachi and why you named him that  Cherie, please don't feel like you have to be all gung-ho and motivated to post here. God knows I wasn't motivated for like A YEAR and I was still posting here regularly  We want to know what's happening with you and your girls no matter what...I'm nosy like that ;) Hey, are those OK fires affecting anywhere near you? :flame: To make matters worse, isn't WA state flooding out from all the rain? That's just crazy. I wish there were some way to divert all that water up north to where it's needed to put the fires out. I gotta go for now, but hello to all  |
Just a short note to let everyone know I'm going back to CA for this weekend. I won't be able to post, but I hope everyone has a great weekend.
Keep up the good work; you are all inspirations for me. Red: I know what you mean about feeling strange or nervous about talking to someone from this post, but I've actually met 2 of these wonderful ladies. I can't wait until we can all meet sometime. Kempy: You'll enjoy your cruise so much. My brother and his family took a cruise to the same places you're headed to and they loved it. They left out of NO, but that was before Katrina. They've done several cruises. I haven't started a day countdown yet as we are not leaving until June. We will be in Europe for almost 5 weeks. We leave June 8 (the day after school is out) and return July 12. We will be in Paris for 5 days then renting a car and driving to Italy. We're doing some castle tours (Ashley is excited and wants to know if she'll meet any real princesses:) ) and the last 2 days we are taking her to Disneyland Paris (she doesn't know about that yet). I'm looking forward to it. We'll be in Italy for about 2 weeks visiting family. Hello to everyone else. I'll be back on Monday. Cal |
Noelle, Thanks for the word on the voting. I told my other thread too. For long threads I think the signatures are very important!! We need to keep them every post I think!! People can be asked or forced to shorten them. Some people's are a bit much....

Weigh Day!!!
Happy Saturday. Today is weighday and I am down 2 1/2 pounds this week. That makes up for my bloat and a nice little loss to boot. I cant complain! :carrot: So now my TOTAL losss so far is 26.5 pounds. I like that because I can enjoy fattier food on Saturdays and I am not feeling deprived or guilty.
Cal, Have fun in California! Red, Shachi is so cute! I love the name. Dips, You lucky girl you! I am so happy for you that you have lost so much weight that you need to get your clothes refitted. YEAH!!!! :carrot: You are doing great! Cherie, I didnt know you were getting sued. I am glad it all worked out for you. I am with Noelle, Dont stay away. I havent dieted for about 2 years now and I was here most of the time except....when I went on my little pity party for myself. I am glad everyone dragged me back because I wouldnt be where I am now if it wasnt for all of you. Kempy, You are gonna be a hottie for your cruise. I cant wait to hear all about it when you get back either. Get pics of the buffets, I hear they are beautiful they way they arrange the fruits and stuff. Noelle, I did the poll too. I liked it the way it was. It is so much easier to keep track of everyone. Well, The kitten is fitting in great. She already tears around with Teddy and Tyson. Meanie(my himalayan) is all interested in her. I think it is beacuse she is the only other long haired cat we have ever owned. He usually hates all the other cats and hisses at them but he doesnt to her. |
See what I mean about the ticker. I just posted a loss and now I have no ticker to mark it until the next page.
|
:cheer: Go Angie,
Go Angie!!! :carrot: I'm so proud of you for sticking to it! :high: You know the signature problem? If you go to your User control panel and choose edit options, look for Thread Display Mode--if you select Linear--Newest First, the signatures will appear on last post a person posted on the thread. The only drawback is that the newest post will appear first, meaning you will have to get used to reading the thread backwards (the first post is the latest so you read it from the bottom of the page upwards) I know if kind of sucks for the time being, but I guess the great gals at 3FC are working on making the website the best it can be for everyone, and some people still have dial up and old slow computers. Those long siggies take up space on the server and take forever to load for some... sorry, I go off on tangents some times....Congrats again on your loss!!!! :D Cal, enjoy your weekend! It sounds great. Your European vacation sounds fantastic as well. Ashley is very fortunate to have the opportunities to go places at her age. You guys rock! Oh yeah, tell Ashley that she's already met royalty--she met a Queen when she met me    :p Just kidding! Hi to Red, Kempy, Julie, Cherie, Dips and everyone. Have a great weekend everyone! |
Oh yeah, one more thing...Red, have you ever been to tickerfactory.com? They have a "red balloon" ticker slider...check it out!
http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt...ed7/weight.png AND tickerfactory allows the weight changes to be shown in .2 increments, not just whole lbs. :dancer: Just thought I'd share that with you guys. Can you tell I have a lot of time on my hands? I know tickerfactory is allowed on 3FC, Suzanne mentioned it in one of her posts. ;) |
Happy Saturday Girls!
Oh the sun is shining and it is a beautiful day in the thirties. I am going to get my walk in today. Angie you go girl! Enjoy your splurge day today. I may make cheesy chicken burritos for my eat what I want day today. Hopefully I will be eating less of eat what I want days, LOL! Kempy your cruise sounds great. You will be some of the places I like to go. Noelle how is the knee feeling? Have a great weekend. Cal have a nice time in CA. Cherie, you know I have been reluctant to post many days because I am having a terrible eating day or whatever diet wise. I am having way to many of those lately. But I remember we are all friends first, no matter if we are losing or not. I have been feeling blah too. Spring is on its way though! Love ya girl. Red I hope you get some time just for you! Hi Dips! Well girls going to go and make the best of this sunshine. We were going to go to the movies but I think we will bundle up and play with the dog in the backyard. Have a nice weekend everyone:) |
Hi.
Noelle, I voted as well. I hope we go with the shorter sigs so we can still see them in all the posts. I like it like that. Can you tell I dont take well to change? Julie, Get out there and enjoy today. It has been pouring here since late last night. I mean pouring too. The snow is getting pretty low. I am going to sound stupid saying this but it better not melt the field down to grass and mud. I know winter isnt over yet so I dont want anymore muddy paw days than I need. I got in some workout today which is pretty nice since I dont usually do any on Saturdays. I havent left the house all day. We watched Harold and Kumar go to Whitecastle again. I love that movie. I bought it for the kids for Christmas. Has anyone seen Dirty Love with Jenny McCarthy? She is so funny. If you like her humor than I say go rent it. It was so stupid and funny that I thought I would pee myself laughing. I am going to buy that one too. We named the kitten Daisy. She is so cute we thought it would fit. Well, I should really go do something. |
Good morning all. Just a short post before I leave for riding. I am so absolutely disgusted with myself for having pigged out over the past week or so. It's so all or nothing with me it seems. I haven't had any nights out drinking though so that's good. It was more just...there were no opportunities. I don't know, but sometimes I just get so scattered and unable to think straight. That's the way it's been. Still, with the cat and all and me not being able to get these stories done, it's been more stressful than usual. Well, riding is always questionable. Good ride, bad ride, I've got to just get out there and put in the time and effort. My dream is to become a good rider and that's the only way there, not the ONLY way but one part you can't NOT have, time in the saddle....well, I hope I'm feeling better real soon. I am sick, sick, sick of not feeling good!

Hey guys. I have not really spent much time outside today. It is still kind of chilly to do yard work. Plus, I want to rake but the wind is still blwoing too hard and there is no way I am going to work my butt off and then have Mother Nature deposit more leaves. I am thinking tomorrow will be different. I am going to have Applebee's for dinner. They have a WW menu and Joe really doesn't like them so since he isn't home I am treating myself. I made sure that I couned how many points I could have today so I could eat that tonight.
Red didn't you meet Meg from the weight lifting thread or was that someone else? Do they have fattening foods over there? I would think that you would be able to eat so much cleaner than we do here in the states. We have a Burger King on every corner and that makes it hard. Angie you are doing AWESOME!!!!!!! I am like you I want to tickers back. I am trying to post one but I guess I will wait to see what they do with the site. I love the name, the puppy I posted is Daisy too. Julie I know that we will have lots of fun. We are both so ready to do something different for vacation. FL is fun but we are so used to it we just sit around drinking beer at the condo and that is just not fun anymore. Noelle guess where Joe wants to go for vaca next year? Yup, over to your sid of the world. I told him that his mother is going to kill him if we don't stop to see her but he wants to go to San Fran first and the out your way. Of course we ahve a long time to plan all of the out. Don't be surprised if I have you help me. You are the local after all. Cal have fun. Cherie did you and the girls do anything fun today? Well, I am going to go call in my order so I will chat later. |
Hi Kempy I see you on, I hope you got something good from Applebees. I got a great spinach salad from there once. I hope your girls are keeping your company while Joe is away tonight! Speaking of raking my dh went outside today and raked with my daughter, can you believe that in January here? Most of our snow melted and it was in the thirties so we are getting an early start on Spring yardwork, I am sure we will get more snow but less leaves under it.
Well that is about it for me....going to watch tv and get ready for bed. Tomorrow it is shopping day and we are dropping the pup off at my in-laws so they can take her to get spayed early Monday morning since I have to take the kids to school and dh has to work.....I hope she does okay, I know she will. GoodNight! |
Hi there. Back from riding. It was a good ride, I have decided, though at one point it got scary because my horse spooked and turned and ran but I stayed on AND kept her going until she settled...which is something you should do or it'll teach her she can do this when she doesn't want to work, which is like always.... It was a bit windy and the water from a whole day of rain was pooled in a lot of areas of the arena with the sunlight reflecting off it, but we did it and so I feel accomplished! Hurrah!
It was a beautiful blue-skied day and Mt. Fuji was clear as a bell this morning, so pretty with all the snow on it. There was a big full moon off to the right of it, still up and clear because it was still around 6 a.m. Now I am back home and just must get this damn story out that I've left hanging over my head. At least yesterday at work I got the layout pretty well squared away. The story, though, is more important as the ski resort and the advertising agency want to see it. I hate doing PR pieces and am no good at it because I've never really done them....oh well, good to get some experience. Oh well, I am feeling MUCH better as far as eating goes again. I just decided to get the eating under control again and if I'm going to eat a lot at least make it healthful food, not just any old junk I can plow into my mouth. I am starting up my new 21-day challenges on the other thread again. Doing that always helps give my habits a bit of structure, which helps a lot. Gives me an easy thing to cling to and evaluate my efforts, even if I'm not losing weight, if I'm sticking to my challenges, then I feel good about things. jbbm -- Hi there. I'm sure your pup will be fine. :) Kempyd -- Yes, I did meet Meg from the weight-lifting thread, about 2 or 3 years ago. She lives where I grew up, in the suburbs of Pittsburgh. She got me into Bally's and we worked out together. She was amazed at how strong I was! Lol. It was nice and she is a supersweet woman. She was still a lawyer then but I see from her profile that she has since become a personal trainer, which I find fabulous because she has sooo much to teach people. She can literally and probably WILL save lives! I've also talked with one other person by telephone and a number by Instant Messenger. I wasn't saying I wouldn't meet people 'cause I was scared too, I was just saying it was a little scary. But, I am kind of shy..or something...around people...maybe. Do they have fattening foods over here in Japan? Sure, lots of them I guess, but servings are not humongous like in the States and there are lot of nonfattening options. The fast-food joints are over here too so if you want to get the fattening stuff you can. The biggest thing I suppose are the serving sizes and just customs. People just don't eat that much and there is also a tradition of very low-cal food, so most things that are traditional Japanese will be lowcal. Also, like at movie theaters, no one eats anything. I found it strange when I came here, but now I find it strange to eat and watch a movie. At home though, I don't eat but I can get drinking! I have an easier time not eating in the States because I am appalled at the huge servings and because there are so many sizes there I feel I have more choice to be whatever size I want to be and then I tend to lose weight. Here, there is such a stigma against being even chubby that I tend to feel contrary and rebellious and kind of like.."yeah, just you WATCH me eat what I darn well please!" :lol3: Of course, I only don't eat much in the States on short two-week trips over there. I am afraid that if I stayed longer I would slip back into old habits. Maybe not, but the lack of exercise from all the walking I do here would surely have an effect. I need to be in a walking city like New York or so. I think it's easier to eat clean here if you want to. I know a lot of cities other than the real big ones in the States have very little choice in healthful eating. Of course, here, if you want to eat a ton you still can! I know how! angie -- I'm with you on the voting. I want the signatures back, even though I don't always add mine. I think they should just put a size limit on them. Some people have huge ones. I didn't realize the signature was allowed on each PAGE. I thought it was only once on a thread. That's no too bad but still... You could also make your pages shorter but that's a pain then to jump to the next one....Daisy's a cute name. I hope you enjoy each other! :spin: Glad you like Shachi's name. I told him everyone likes his name. You know, he actually has two names because the crippled woman who he used to live with next door didn't know I had cared for him and had him neutered. She thought he was a girl and called him Ai (pronounced eye), which means Love in Japanese. He is a loverboy , gentle and kind of an emotional wimp...though he does know how to hunt and often brings things home...once a rat in my bed! He also hunts sandwiches from the convenience store. They would put ones that had expired out back in the morning and he would carry the whole packaged thing home with him! :lol3: He's old now and smaller but he used to be big and strong even though he's neutered. I thought, too, the orca name fit because they look scary but are really quite gentle...when they're not hungry, that is. Oh, yes, and wow, congrats on the weight loss. You are amazing. I sooo need to get some motivation back, some desire, some oomph in my life again.... :( mele -- Hi there. I see the red balloon ticker! How cute. I did tickerfactory in the beginning but all the fertility checks were kind if giving me the willies.... :p cal -- Hi there. Hope you have a good time in Calif. That's cool that you've met people from the thread. It would be fun. I think my best bet is Dips as I often pass through New York on my rare trips to the States. Dips! You there?! :listen: Well, your trip sounds wonderful. If you get down to the Bari area in Italy, you can look up a good friend of mine. She lives in a tiny village right on the Adriatic, a town called Peshichi in Foggia, right on the spur of the boot. I've got a friend in Paris too if you don't have any one to look up. Let me know if you want to contact them. He's an American guy with his Taiwanese wife and kids. I knew him from Tokyo. I haven't been in touch but I figure he's still there and would get in touch with him for you. He's the Wall Street Journal bureau chief there and a nice guy. How old is your Ashley? Well, I gotta run. Dips, Cherie, anyone I missed, a big hello! Take care all! **** Oh, yes and heh!! There is a sweet, young and very talented rider at the club who wants to do a homestay in the States this summer to improve her English. She would only be able to stay a max of two weeks, wants to be talking LOTS of English and not be around Japanese. If anyone is interested or knows someone you would be, please let me know. She is really a very sweet girl. You would love her and she LOVES horses and dogs, has a Lab who often comes with her to the stables. I think she's about 20 (which translates to about 16 in looks in the States) but she is classy, cheerful, really a joy to be around and is really eager to get better in English. She is an excellent dressage rider but is planning on studying dentistry and probably wants to study in the States later. Anyhow, I just wanted to ask because I saw her again today and said I'd try to help her find somewhere. I think it would be great for her if she could do some kind of volunteer work, say, with elderly people...who would talk her ear off probably!...and then have some nice peole to kick back with and chat at home. **** :dancer: |
Well, it is cleaing day again and look at me, I am sitting in front of the puter. I just had to post a quick one.
Red I really wish I could ride again. There is no where for me to do that though. Would you ever consider moving back to the states? As far as your friend goes, this town is WAY to small to help her out. I swear some of the people here don't even know English and they have lived here their whole lives. Thankfully I have not picked up on those bad habits. I try to catch myself if I make a mistake in grammer but some of these people are down right stupid. Sorry, I love my town but the truth hurts. Julie what kind of shopping day is it? Dinner was ok, Joe said it was b/c I worked it up in my mind for 2 days and then was let down when it was the size of a peanut. Thankfully I got the french onion soup to go with it otherwise I would have been starving. Angie I wish I had your luck with the weight falling off. I am still sitting at the 7.5 lbs. I am not really sure what to do but I am really going to clean the house today and make it like a workout. It is pretty chilly outside so I don't want to head outdoors. Plus, Joe is on his way home and the house is a mess. I swear there is more cat and dog hair on the floor than on them. |
Bumping us up.
|
Good morning girls. Does everyone have a day off for MLKjr day? I am going for my morning walk. I'll be back later to chat. Have a good one!
Cal called me on Saturday night but I was out at a b-day dinner for my sis. She asked about finding those pictures on those Disneyland collages I submitted...so they DID get to Disneyland after all  I called her back yesterday but left a message on her voice mail....then as I was walking around, her phone called me and I answered, but I think it dialed by accident. I could hear her talking to someone as if they were watching for someone on a ride. I kept saying "hello" but she didn't hear me  |
Happy Monday!! Can that be possible?
Red, Are you feeling better? I hope so. Kempy, Oh yeah, I totally forgot that one of the pups is named Daisy. Duh. I told Jay that she would make a good Daisy and if we had gotten Teddy and Tyson around the same time we could have named them Bo and Luke. They all love to run and wreck the house together now. We are planning our vaca for April of next year now too. Maybe we should plan to go to Hawaii and we could all meet up with Noelle. That would be awesome. Julie, What did you name your pup. How has her spay gone? I always feel so bad for the girls when they get fixed. The boys just dont seem to care. Noelle, I have today off but only because this is the slow time of year and there isnt really anything to do. Enjoy your walk. |
OOHH, the tickers are back. YEAH!!!!!
|
Well, I didn't have off. I had a few clients but I will take them. We are going to the camp this weekend so I wont be at work for a few days.
Noelle Joe's gradnmother calls us all of the time on her phone. It is so funny, it must be in her purse b/c I can here it moving around like she is walking. Do you have a hard time figuring points of meals that you make at home? I make a few things not out of a cookbook and I am not really certain how to figure them up. Angie that would be great if we were all in HI at the same time. I don't know what time we would go but we can usually go at any time of the year. Julie how did you dog do with your FIL. Did he take her hunting. Echo just got back from a big trip and Joe said she did really great. I hope you all pop on soon. The dogs are looking at me for their dinner. I need to get ours fixed too so I will be back later. |
Just wanted to let everyone know I'm back. Wonderful trip.
I'll catch up on posts later; right now I'm just looking to sleep in my own bed without my bedhog daughter. :) I'll try to catch up tomorrow. Goodnight ladies. Cal |
Good Morning!! Well, I guess the tickers are still gone. I swear when I posted yesterday they were there!! Maybe I am going crazy.
I had the munchies so bad last night. What is up with that. I caved and made some onion dip with lowfat sour cream and wow chips. Not too bad but I really didnt want to snack. This time around is so much harder getting the weight off for some reason. I am not going as gunho as the other times so that maybe why. I think I would rather take it slower this time and still eat the foods I like than to go totally strict and end up gaining it all back when I get tired of doing it. So what is everyone up to? Julie and Cherie, where are you two? |
weird, I see the ticker right after I post and then it is gone the next time I come back.
|
Good morning/afternoon girls :) Today is Michael's 7th birthday. I can't believe he's SEVEN!!! Where does the time go??? :dunno: I went to Sam's Club this morning and picked up a chocolate cake w/buttercream frosting and some ice cream cups...I am so sabotaging myself. I know I can't resist that darn Sam's Club cake and frosting! I was contemplating skipping my weigh in today but I think I am going to suck it up and just go. I need to buy more weekly coupons since it's cheaper if you buy in advance rather than pay every week. I thought for sure I would have a maintain or a gain last week, but this week it may have caught up with me. I dunno though, I think I am just going to go and get it over with--after all, I am only cheating myself if I skip. Hehe, I can be glad for one thing today though, at least I don't weigh as much as I did when I gave birth  :o....
Angie, I know how you feel about the munchies! I have been indulging one too many times these past few days. I think I am craving salty, then right when PMS acts up I go for the sweet stuff like chocolate.... I found these awesome snacks though, they're called mini Soy Crisps, I found them at Costco and they're like those 100 cal packs of cookies and crackers. Yummy for a sweet crunchy treat. As far as the tickers, 3FC is limiting the siganture lines to only once per thread for now, that's why the siggies don't show on every post. Kempy, I usually have my 'free' meal at dinner. What I mean by that is that i track my points through dinner and lunch, and by dinner time I usually have around 15 pts left--which as you know is a lot. Then I just eat whatever my mom cooks (I know, pathetic aren't I  ) but I just eat one serving. I stay away from it if it's battered or fried. Then I try to figure out the points from the food finder book. It's kind of a backasswards kind of way of doing things, but it works for me. Cal, so what did ya ride at Disneyland? Did you find any of the collages? Hey to Julie, Cherie, Red, Dips and everyone. Gotta run for now. Have a good one! |
Hey guys. I am home for just a little bit. I have 2 more clients today.
I am just going to weight in on my own in the morning. We are leaving and I will not have time to go to the meet at WW. Hey, at least I will save $11. :D I hope that I have drop at least something since last week. Joe ans I are going out to eat so I don't have to clean the kitchen tonight and I think I might want sushi. That is really good for me to have and it is easy. I don't have time to post much. I need to get packing since I will be at work late. I'll post when we get back. I hope you guys have a great weekend. |
Noelle we are so much alike. I LOVE the Sams club bettercreme icing!!! That is a huge reason why I gained every single pound of weight back. I would do my grocery shopping at Walmart ever week and I would grab a few packs of the cupcakes(because they have more icing) and just pig out all weekend on them. My favorite way to eat them is when they are nice and cold. YUM!! Makes me hungry just thinking about it.
Now what I do is bake a white cake mix (omit the oil and egg yolks) just add the whites and water. Then for frosting I take cocoa powder, powder sugar and hot water and mix it until it is really thick. Then I microwave for about 30 seconds until it melts and I spread it on the cold cake and put back in the fridge until it is nice and cold. That is my Saturday treat and I have to admit the kids dont get much of it. I eat as much as I want on Saturdays of it. Kempy, You going to be gone for the rest of the week? Have fun. We will miss you. |
Hey girls :carrot: I am back from my weigh-in and I should just shut-up about it already (all the moaning and groaning about maintaining or gaining...) I actually lost 1.4 lbs this week...a total of 27.8 so far. I am stoked! I dunno...I guess I feel like I wouldn't have lost weight if I didn't go all out on the exercise like I normally would, but you know what? I am OK with the fact that I am not able to lose 3 lbs a week every week. 1 lb will do me just fine! By summer I should be at a more comfortable weight where I feel pretty in my own skin again.
I found a WW brand cereal at Sam's this morning as well. 2 pts (or roughly 100 cals) for a 3/4 cup serving. It is called honey/almond crunch or something like that and it has real blueberries in it :T I can't wait to try it for breakfast tomorrow. I also bought some Lean Cuisine pizzas (pepperoni and some spinach and mushroom ones) for quick lunches. I love to have me some pizza once in a while. Michael wants pizza for dinner but at 5 points a slice I can't eat very much of it. This way I am safe. I can eat the whole little round pizza for around 6-8 points and be satisfied. Kempy, good luck at your weigh in tomorrow, I know you will do better than you think. ;) I eat sushi like 2x a week, sometimes more. I pretty much eat whatever I like, except I stay away from those made w/mayo--like a tuna salad sushi (yes we have those here) or even a scallop w/mayo sushi. I think if I eat nigiri sushi I eat about 10 pcs and that is to get me feeling really full. That is only 5 pts! Angie, I am going to try your cake recipe...especially since it has frosting  The WW leader I have just takes a cake mix and puts one can of diet soda (diet coke for dark cakes) or diet 7up or sprite for white cakes. No eggs, oil or water, just the soda. Then I think she uses ff cool whip with ff jello powder for flavoring or fresh fruit like strawberries. Hmmm, I'm getting all worked up for cake I think  I am having a small slice of cake for Mike's b-day tonight, but I am going to have to hide the left overs in the fridge downstairs so I'm not tempted to have a piece every time I walk by the kitchen upstairs. That is going to be hard because I just LOVE that cake from Sams. I have to remember to get a walk in today too :tread: Cal, Cherie, Julie, Dips and Red....holla back! |
WOOHOO NOELLE!!!! :carrot: :cb: :dancer: :cloud9: :high:
I knew you would do great with your weigh in!!! You are awesome!!! |
Hello My Gurlz!!
I AM SORE!!!:tired: I got my free personal training session at Bally. That dude tried to kill me. But I needed that intense workout. It pretty much let me know that if I want to be fit for vacation it's gonna take some serious work. No BSing! The sad part is I know i'm going to feel it twicw as much tomorrow :yikes: Anyhoo
Noelle, you hardcore diva, you! I am so very proud of you. Even with all your injury woes, you still manage to melt the pounds away. You are going to do so well! BTW I got the best massage after the workout so I finaly got a hottie to rub me down just like you :D AND he was straight! Can ya dig it?!:carrot: Angie: You are doing great as well! You and Noelle have me thinking about cake though. I could use a slice of tirimisu. That'll be my reward when I reach my goal and not a moment sooner! BTW I see your babies are growing up fast. Happy B-day to your little angel. J- Hope you're enjoying the getaway! Hi Red- I'm glad you're pushing forward and spreading your motivation to other forums. So long as we're your favorites :D Kempy- Pat yourself on the back sister! You are doing it just like I knew you would! Your cruise sounds awesome. Puts my trip to shame. Have a blast! Cal- How's it going. Still enjoying some fun in the sun? I'll get there soon. Okay girls, I have to stretch some more and hopefully I'll minimize the soreness that's sure to wake me tomorrow. |
I'm checking in. Can I just say that W2 season for payroll sucks? This month as been the most hectic one yet. I keep thinking, it's almost over, it's almost over....
Yesterday, I went to the orthodontist where they took xrays (got a really cool one of the profile of my skull) and took molds of my teeth and then shoved in spacers between my teeth, 6 in all. Yesterday, was pretty miserable. My jaws ache and I'm having a hard time eating. And this is just with the spacers in. Can't wait for two more weeks when I actually get my full set of braces. Today, I have my yearly well woman exam.. really looking forward to getting that OVER with. I know I will hear about me gaining 10 pounds since last year.. but I am trying to find my motivation to lose. Just not very motivated in trying. Happy Birthday Michael!!! 7 years old! I KNOW! Where does the time fly.. I hope he had a great birthday.. and I hope you didn't enjoy the cupcakes too much. :-) OK.. I need to get back to work.. I've been trying to get ahold of a live person in the State of Georgia for the past two days.. need to get back on that this morning.. Talk to you guys soon! Cherie |
Good Morning. It is freezing rain here today so everything looks like a bottle and all the schools were cancelled. Gotta love this weather. First it is so cold and ry that my hands crack open and then it is rainy then freezing... AAAGGGHHH!! I cant wait until spring is here.
Dips, I hope you arent too sore this morning. At least you got a rubdown. Was he a cutie? Cheire, Hi girl. You sound very busy. Good luck at your yearly. Jay went and bought a laser for the cats. BOY, do they like that. It is like 3 little dopes flying through the house. Helps to tire them out though. Daisy is like a dog. At night she will sleep on the top of the cat condo but she likes to be in our bedroom at night so I said "Daisy wanna go to bed?" And she jumps up and runs down the condo and goes to bed just like the dogs do. She is a sweetie. I cant let Teddy and Tyson in my room at night because they play and attack us all night. I tried it the other night and had to kick them out. I have never seen such hyper cats as those two. Well, I gotta get in a workout. I hope you all get a chance to post today. |
Hi Girls! I am stopping in for a quick post. I just dropped my daughter off at preschool and now it is time to go help out at my son's school. Lately I feel like I don't have enough time in a day, LOL. I dusted off my excercise bike yesterday and did a full fifteen minutes! Not to much but my leg muscles felt the burn after not using it in a ling time.
Happy Birthday Michael:hb: :gift: :woo: :balloons: Hi everyone! |
Hi girls, I just had a late breakfast about an hour ago but I am already thinking of lunch :hun: It's a short school day and I have to help Michael finish a project on the planet Uranus (did you know there were rings around it? ) so I think I will finish up my payroll and get the heck out of dodge
Angie, so what are you guys doing today? Enjoying the warmth of the bakery? I had a laser once and the inside cats (Tiger and Scully) just looked at me like 'what's the big deal?' They are a lazy bunch. Cherie, I didn't know you were going to get braces :D You are lucky that these days they are much smaller and the treatment is a lot faster. Still, I know it isn't fun having them, but it is fun to have beautiful straight teeth afterward...I had braces from the middle of 6th grade to the summer before 9th grade, so about 2.5 years. Those monthly tightening appointments were a pain! But only for a day or so, so don't worry, you'll do fine. Eeewwww, your yearly exam  My doc just called me to day to let me know my last ultrasound exam was negative--meaning they found DIDDLY SQUAT! I guess I am VERY normal but yet... :lol Hope everything goes well for you. At least it's only 10 lbs--not like my 40! Julie, good job on getting the bike out and riding it. It's a start to something good for ya. Dips, I hear ya on the pain of a workout. You know, I'm getting a little tired of my massage after working out. That guy does that deep tissue stuff and it hurts like ****! But I feel good afterwards, it's getting through it that sucks.  Hi to Kempy, Red and Cal....have a great day. |
Good Morning Gals!!
Happy Thursday!
Okay, so at work we have a little weight loss challenge of our own going on. We all had to put in 25 dollars and form teams. The team who loses the most weight wins the pot! My disadvantage is that my teammate has little to no will power but I am very VERY comepetitive. I told her I will kill her if we don't win. there are 5 other teams so can you imagine how much money is at stake!! Anyways, I'm out to sabotage the other teams. Everyone is motivated right now mut in about 2 weeks time I'm dropping some krispie kremes off in each of their offices:devil: I'm terrible, I know. But I'm rutheless during competition!! Anyhoo Noelle- There was no deep tissue business with my massage. The whole thing felt great from beginning to end! I loved it! I wish I could get him to do it after all my workouts but ofcourse I would have to pay him  Cherie- I have to schedule one of those exams myself. In fact I have to hit up the eye doctor, dentist and anyone else who can check my health. I'll work on that for next week. J- Way to go on getting yourself started. You should be working your way up to being on that bike for at least 30-4 minutes but you will get there, just keep it up! Angie- Ya know, he may have been a cutie but since he was 6'7" tall, I only got to view his chest most of the time but he had a great chest! And yes I am still sore but it's cool. It lets me know I'm really working. Anyhoo, hope you get over that cold weather soon and you can wish the same for me. We were enjoying such a warm winter (45-55 degree temps) Now the true winter of NY is in effect! It was like 20 degrees last night. Th egood news is that we're going to warm back up to the 40s and 50s for the rest of the week. YAY:carrot: Hi Kempy, Red and Cal. Hope everyone is chillin and happy and getting lighter! I'm off to the gym this morning before work. TTYL |
Good Morning.... Thank goodness it's Thursday.... two more days of dredgery... I just LOVE work.. can you tell?
The doctor's appointment went well, and he didn't talk about my weight gain... Noelle.. I've gained like 10 pounds since last year.. but I still have like 40 to lose myself... I think he was trying to be sensitive about the appointment.. he did ask me about my ex because at the last appointment, he knew that he had cancer. So other than that and the actually appointment.. it was ok. My mouth is still uncomfortable... but I know it's worth it. The dog is doing well.. this week, I am making a solid effort to crate train her. Keeping her in her crate all day long, coming home at lunch to let her out... and keeping her in her crate at night. So far.. she hasn't had an accident. I was getting really tired of cleaning up the laundry room where I was letting her roam free during the day. I still don't like the idea that she is in the crate all day, but until she gets older and I can get her trained.. I guess it will work. OK.. back to work... |
Good Morning girls!! I got in my workout even though I really dont want to do it. I am up 1/2 pound this week and I doubt I will get in a loss at all. It is really doing a number on my brain the way it is fighting so hard. I dont want to be as strict as I used to be to lose weight because quite frankly it sucked. I couldnt eat anything and I am NOT doing that again....certainly not for the rest of my life. I dont know. I am just getting sick of it all. I wont give up though.
It rained out so bad yesterday but thankfully when the rain stopped the wind picked up...big time. It blew all the extra rain off my walkway so that is good. It was a nice little ice slick yesterday. We dont have hardly any snow left now, more like a thin coating of ice and that is it. I can see grass in a few spots. The kids snowmobile is pretty useless right now. The kitten found out how comfy Jay's pillow is so that is where she slept all night. She is a cutie pie. She really tears it up with Tyson and Teddy now. The other 3 cats are all old (14,10,7) so they just look at them like they are crazy. Well, I guess I should go get something done today. |
Hi Girls, one more day till Friday!
Angie, I totally know what you are saying about being to strict with yourself. That is exactly what I do. That is how I got to my goal and then went crazy eating things I did not let myslef have....but I think you are doing it totally the RIGHT way. Keep it up and let yourself have those Saturdays free. I know it is hard though, last week pms just about killed me! I ate entire bag of butterscotch chips in two days!!!! Okay I am embarrassed now:^:. But I am going to be 20 pounds lighter by June 1st! Noelle I hope you got the project done. My daughter just was working on planets in preschool and I couldn't remember all the names, I guess I forgot alot of things being out of school,LOL. Cherie I did not know you were getting braces. Nothing beats a great smile! I feel bad leaving the dog in her crate too. They just give you that look. I know it is for the best though when we are not home. That reminds me I have to make my yearly appt. too. Fun fun.... Dips I like the idea of the challenge at work and you naughty thing with the krispie kremes....too funny. Hi Cal, Kempy and Red! This morning I ate one of those low carb oatmeal bar things and they are loaded with vitamins and it is kind of upsetting my stomach. Yuck. I think I will stick to natural foods and not these super vitamin muscle man bars, haha. I better get some work done around the house today since I have been gone all week. Check back later |
Hey all. How's it going? I'm busy with my other thread, the 21-day challenge, which is my main thread as I organize it. We're so busy these days that it takes me way to long to reply over there and there just isn't any time to come in here and chat. Besides, my last mega post here was met with so much quiet that I felt abandoned. Don't you just hate that? I guess I am just too out of sync with ya all! :(
