Tracey - I know how you feel!! When I started this time round I was shocked to find that I was about 15 pounds heavier than I thought I was!! But you CAN do it - we are all here with you and supporting you.

Lois - WTG on the 2 lb loss!!!! Fantastic.

Cassie - with you right there - I put on 2 lbs overnight the other day. But I've been taking water tablets and most of it is gone now! Keep going - weight lost is weight lost but weight gained is just water!!

Jen - sorry to hear about the gain but it's great that you're back! It's so easy just to say "What the ****!" and give up but you didn't do that - you came back to try again. You can do it this time!!

mama4 - my French isn't great but I'll have a go:

Voici mon secret. - here is my secret

Il est très simple: it is very simple

on ne voit bien qu'avec le cœur. one does not see well with the heart

L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." - (this bit I'm not sure about) the essential is invisible for the eyes.

Something like that anyway!!

Hi to everyone else. I got rid of most of that nasty 2 lbs with water tablets so I;m 2.5 down for this week, which I'm pretty pleased with!

Hi everybody Yesterday was definitely not one of my better days. Today is shaping up much better.

Sounds like a lot of us have scales with the same disease right now . . . reporting a lot of "water weight" . I like that line of Robsia's about weight lost is fat but weight gained is water . . . or words to that effect. I'm blaming my problem on the new scales. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Actually, I tend to think in increments of a week and don't get too excited about the odd day that's a little higher than I'd like. As long as I average out over the course of the week, I figure everything will eventually pay off for me.

Anyway, gang, tomorrow is another day. Let's all just keep moving forward and doing the right stuff. Together we will win the battle. Have a great evening.

Robsia, hang in there girl... I'm betting it's just water weight and you've gotten rid of some of it already! Thanks for the cheers and keep up all your hard work.

Cheryl, so glad you got some rest... hope you are better soon.

AndrewsMum, so sorry to hear you are under the weather as well... hope it's short lived and you too feel better soon!

Cassie, glad you found a pump! I did not know what NSV meant either when I first saw it. Don't feel so bad, we all have days like that, but I know you will be back on track and it will soon be a distant memory.

Jen, ..good to see you post... just hang in there and I'm sure you'll get to Onederland!

Tricia, sounds like a good breakfast! ...there is plenty of support here. I don't think I would still be on track if it were not for this site and these ladies.

Linda, sorry you had a bad day... but today is another day and I'm glad it's been better. I use the same thinking when it comes to those fluctuations in the week, it's the number on weigh in day that I look for. :

I've had a pretty good day,.. it's still pretty cold here. I think it got up to around 26 degrees today. Yesterday was my day off from exercise but I was back at it today. I swear my calves are still sore from those five minutes on the eliptical. I think I will give it another go tomorrow.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend!

Hey girls, I'm still here! Just had a busy weekend, my parents (who usually come on the weekend) and my sister & her family were here. I had to put the laptop outta reach of little fingers, so I wasn't able to have the luxary of checking in.

I'll try to come by later to do some personals, I feel so bad for falling behind.

As for me, I haven't lost anything more. I even gave myself some leeway to enjoy a turkey dinner today! You might say yikes! I would too, but I look at it this way, I came so far without hardly any "cheats" I can give myself this one day. The only thing is, I ate so much that I think it is going to be the only meal of the day. So maybe it will balance itself out.

I bought a pair of size 16's (real pants, not stretchy) today for motivation. I can't even pull them up over my thighs yet. hahaha But I will!! I promise you that!

Well girls, have a great night. I'm still here and thinking of you all!
Lots o' love!

Tina, you will be able to fit into those size 16s in no time. I have a dress that I haven't been able to wear for almost two years. I have an event to go to in June and my goal is to be able to fit it by then. I know we can both do it.

I'm buying a new pair of exercise sneakers tomorrow and I am so excited. The pair I have aren't really for exercising, they are so flat and kill my arches. So I'm splurging on some Nike Shox and will worry about the money later. It's the boost I need right now.

Heidi- Welcome! Join right in, we are a great group of ladies here!

Tina-I thought about buying some new pants for motivation, too! You'll be fitting them before you know it! Is that you in your avatar? You're beautiful!

So you ladies really think it's "water" weight, even though I overate lastnight? I don't know, I am feeling pretty disgusted with myself! I am going to be a SAINT from here on out, LOL!

Heidi, jump right in. There are so many support groups here, it is the best.

How is everyone today? I'm feeling really good this morning. My goals for today are to drink plenty of water and get in at least 30 minutes of exercise. It's been a while since I've exercised so I've gotta start slow or else I will burn myself out.

Just a quick check in,

Tina, sounds like you had a great weekend with your family. I wouldn't say yikes about the dinner... I don't think we could make it through if we didn't allow ourselves an occasional indulgence. ...as long as you get right back on track. I say no harm no foul... no pun intended! ha ha! You have been doing an awesome job girl,.. one turkey dinner won't undo that.

Tracey, l'm loving your enthusiasm... it's very motivating... just ease into the workouts. I remember my first day, I think I lasted 10 minutes. Just have fun with it!

Heidi, to the group and ...glad to have you join us. The ladies here are a huge source of motivation and support.

AndrewsMum, WoW! CONGRATS on the loss... that is huge! I can feel your excitement all the way here in Michigan. :

Hope everyone has a good day... I'll check back later.

Heidi!!

Andrewsmum- Way to go!! That is just great!!! A major victory over the evil demon in the scales!!!

Teahoney-I am having to go slow and easy on the exercise too! I over did it last week and hurt my back!!

Tina-Did that turkey have stuffing/dressing to go with it??? Oh Yummmy!!

Robsia-Thanks for the translation! I just love different languages! But can't speak any of them! This is going to sound soooo weird! But if I am at the store or somewhere and hear someone talking in a different language I stop and act like I am looking at something on the shelf so that I can listen to them!! I can't believe I just told you'll that! I just think it sounds exotic!!

Cassie- Don't feel bad! I think everyone should over eat once a month or so! That way we don't feel like we are missing anything! One slip up is not going to put you back to square one!

Meowee- The devil is in your scales too?

Ok guys I have to go! My oldest is sick today! Oh I hope he don't give it to me!!!

Has anyone remembered that recipe yet?

to all!!!!!!

Default Happy Monday!

Good morning girls! It's a dreary snowy day here, but my mood is sunny and bright! After eating like I did and not exercising yesterday I woke up excited to get back at it! For some reason I feel extactic!! Who would of thought that I'd be excited to watch my calories and WANT to exercise?!! (this is halarious) I weighed 0.5lb heavier today, but it won't stay long!

Tracey, I say splurge on the sneakers! Heaven knows you gotta be good to your feet when you plan to put them through heck. You'll get into that dress by June, don't worry and you'll have to post a pic of you in it! Go gettem' girl!

Heidi, welcome! Just jump on in, the fat burning pool is hot in here! BTW - our daughters have the same name, just a little sp. diff. I sp. Alyssa Looking forward to getting to know you better.

Cassie, buying stuff that you really like for motivation is great. But just remember not to buy them too small that it will take a while to fit them. Small goals are great. I might have stretched it too far buying 16's! hahaha Last clothing motivator I bought were 18's, they were too tight when I bought them but it didn't take long before they fit beautifully. Yeah, that's me in the avatar, thanks for the compliment (blushing head to toe)!

Mum, I'm so proud of you!! See, all that hard work and hanging on totally paid off! You are so back with a vengence, keep up the good work! Yayyyy!!

Lois, yeah thanks I had a good weekend. A little spinning head at sometimes but overall good. My mom and sister helped me finish my first quilt (I started years ago), I've never put the backing on. So now it's done! Phew! So, did you make chili this weekend?! hahaha I know, I know enough with the chili!

Well girls, I best be getting something done. I just want to thank you all for being here. I know you all are making the difference this time. I for sure would have probably given up if I didn't have you. Coming here keeps me accountable. God bless each and everyone of you, may you have success in life, love, happiness and of course WEIGHT LOSS!

Have an awesome day girls!
~Tina

Paula, again we post at the same time!

Yeah, the stuffing was yummy! I had to make sure all leftovers were sent out the door with my family. I said this is one day and one day only, after today I'm not touching it. Except there is a little white meat turkey and gravy in the fridge for my little one. She loves it so I couldn't deprive her of that.

Have a great day! Hope your son gets better soon and it doesn't spread to the rest of you all.

~Tina
