I know I'm a little late, but would you mind if I joined you?
Had my parents staying for a whole month, since 12 Dec, and they went home yesterday, which was when I started my new life! I weighed in and was pleased to discover that I was 2.5lbs down since when they arrived, so can't complain about that ... although I have absolutely no idea how I managed it!
A bit about myself ... I've been lurking on this site for ... well, let's just say quite some time!!

I've yo-yo'd for many years and I'm sick and tired of looking and feeling the way I do ... it's time to take some serious action. I'm 43, married with two teenagers aged 17 (boy) & 13 (girl). I'm counting calories ... writing EVERYTHING down! And plan to start walking regularly ... I haven't exercised for a long time and really need to get into shape! My husband is very fit and goes on regular long strenuous hikes, and I would love to be able to join him, but right now our fitness levels are so far apart that I simply can't keep up with him ... he's in training right now for a 50k charity hike at the end of February, but once he's finished training we'll be able to go on easier hikes together, which I'm looking forward to. Until then I plan to start walking by myself more regularly (with the dog!) to get a head start.
