Rivergal, Welcome back. I certainly remember you. I was hoping some of the old group would make it back soon. I know what you mean about gaining and then having to re-lose. But kudos to you for getting it back off so quickly. That is awesome.
WW, Too bad about the jacket. Don't you hate when you buy expensive clothes and they do that??? I have been shopping Lane Bryant lately because I like their styles right now, but you have to watch them closely because they shrink. And they are not cheap either. All blouses or sweaters from there I wash in cold and hang dry because of that. Thank goodness their jeans are ok. Miki, Hope you are doing good. How'd the MRI go? Well more good news for me. I interviewed for a job today and got it. And they are even going to work around me being gone the month of March. Didn't find time to excercise today w/ hubby leaving and the interview and all but right back on track tomorrow. Talk to everyone soon. MJ |
Hello all.
Wow, today was really busy day. I can't believe how busy work is these days...somedays you just want to throw in the towel and say "to heck with this"....then you remember all those bills....sigh....just one of those down days I guess. Welcome back Rivergal! Yup, I sympathise on the gain...I gained over the holidays too..and I have yet to get my groove back. I'll keep coming back here though and try to make it "click" again for me. Emjay...congrats on the job! Yay! What are you going to be doing? (if you don't mind my being nosy). Nice that they will be flexible with your planned time in March...that's a good sign the employer will be a good one! Well...I actually read the label on the blue jacket today. It says this, "Color may transfer when new. Wash before wearing". I guess I have turned myself (and my nice white undershirt) blue for no good reason, lol. Wow...I never read those labels...guess I will start. The blue did not come out of the shirt, but it is light enough that it won't show through when wearing it under a white blouse (which is what I bought the darn thing for). Me feeling pretty silly, lol. Well, it is pretty late here, and I need to make our lunches for tomorrow (or I will get lazy and buy my lunch...which means mega calories). I will drop in on you all tomorrow! |
hello
:) Hello everyone hows it going, well I went to ww yesterday and I lost 4.2 pounds good weigh in , so I have 10 more pounds till I'm at 10% then i have to set my goal well this week i did something stupid lol I was putting some things up in our barn and the floor's not in good shape well I thought i missed the hole but nope i didn't and i fell right thru:) and my back hit the corner (ouch) so i had a back ache this week not much working out for me but today I feel better so i'm going to walk 2mile (tharts my mini goal for this week to up my walking insted of 1 mile)
Rivergirl welcome i don't know ya but hope to get to:carrot: WW I hate when that happens , thanks for reminding me i'll start to read labels too well is it a nice blue? hope so Emjay congrats on the jog and welcome back to ww hope you do good ( I know ya can):) well i have some work to do i'll talk at you all later :carrot: :carrot: |
Thanks for the welcome backs girls. Started my day off right. Did the 2 mile WATP this morning. It looks like it's gonna be another pretty day. Maybe I'll get a short walk outside in. Standing in the sun feeling the warmth from it this time of year feels so good. It's like taking time to stop and smell the roses except it's to feel the warmth of the sun. Boy, have I been out in the sun too long?:dizzy: What 's that coming out of my mouth? Deep thinking. Anyway, you girls have a great day. Tomorrow is weigh-in for me. Hoping to see some gone or at least one. I've been good this week for the most part so we'll see.
Mj: Was seeing a few post back that you & hubby bass fish. Me and my hubby bass fish too. My hubby more than me. He had rather fish than eat when he's hungry. I grew up in a fishing family. I use to hate to have to go fishing on the weekends with Mama and Daddy and wouldn't you know it, I marry a fisherman. But I love him deeply. So a fishing we will go. So yall think about him when on that lake cause he'd love to be there too. Congrats on the new job. Hope it's the best one you ever had. WW:I think so many gained over the holidays, you will get your groove back just hang in there. And try to keep from turning blue. Don't want anyone trying to give you mouth to mouth by mistake. LOL. Hoosierlady: Good deal on the pounds gone. U go girl. I was on here a while back so look forward to getting to know you too. I'm just a plain southern girl. Miki: Hope everything is going good for you. Hope to hear from you soon. Off to read some. Talk to ya later, RivergalCOLOR] |
Hoosierlady, Congratulations on the weight loss. Wow 4 lbs. that is great. I'm really curious what you are eating, I'd love to bump up my weight loss like that. You aren't counting points, you are doing their new plan right? Tell me more.
Rivergal, Which watp tapes are you doing? I am doing mostly the one for the abs right now but am always looking for some other good ones. I don't fish much either but my husband does avidly. Since I got a new job we may cancel the fishing trip to Lake Fork:?: Oh well. Didn't do great on food today but will try harder tomorrow. Got half way thru 3-mile watp when hubby called today (had to take the call). By the time I got off the phone they were on last 1/2 mile so I continued there. I figure I did about 2 miles. I will shoot for the 3-mile again tomorrow. Hope everyone else is well. Later. MJ |
morning all
Hello everyone:) ,
Well I did it I made to 2 miles woohoo thought I'd be sore today but nope feel just fine:carrot: Emjay that lost was for two week because I didn't get to go last week I have been losing about 2 pounds a week, now what I eat is really anything I want but I do track everything and stay with in my points and I use all my extra points the extra weeklky points allowance (35) I'm doing the felx plan and Iwalk a mile a day now trying to do 2 miles a day on my tread mill lol I watch oprah, now there is sometimes i just let myself eat whatever I want like last sunday we had kfc and I ate whatever I wanted but then the next day I just went back to staying in my points. I know with me I have always beat myself up when I cheated but now I don't I think thats one way I have been doing good with this by not stressing over the little mess up's because we all have to live life and sometimes that means eating out or whatever well good luck to everyone  to all ps .. i" try to get here this weekend but if not i'll be here monday:) |
Hey all
Emjay I forgot to say that I quit using salt and I use a sugar sub and I use I can't bevlie it's not butter spray ..lol sorry bout that :o
|
Good day to all. Got mine started with the 2 mile WATP. Today was my weighin day and I'm down 2 pounds :carrot:
I told Scott before I weighed if nothing is gone I'll be disappointe but he said don't be cause you know some wks you lose some wks you don't. Which is true but thank goodness I did lose. I told him before I weighed, I'm gonna keep eating like I'm eating and exercise and if I don't lose I don't lose cause I'm not cutting my food down to little nothings cause I can't eat that way all my life. Cause once I start eating again it'd all come back. So the way I eat to lose has got to be the way I'll eat for a lifetime. So, it's working , I hope it continues to work. I figure if I eat like I should and exercise then all the over weight will come off and the real me will be left. Does that make sense? :dizzy: Mj: I'm sorry you have to cancel your fishing trip. but I'm glad you got the job. Hey, I know maybe we can go in your place. :chin: No, but I wish I could. Sounds like you're doing great on your WATP. I got the one that has the easy 1 mile and the brisk 2 mile using the stretchie band. What's the one that works the abs? I may get that one and try it. Lord knows I need all the help I can get. LOL. HL: 2 pounds a week is a good lose. That's really all we should lose to be doing it the healthy long term way and we won't have saggy skin once the weight is gone. Miki: Hey girl, hope you're doing ok, Miss ya on here. Hope to see ya soon. Later, Rivergal |
By the way I changed my April fool's day challenge and decided to do 10 pound mini goals. I think they'll work better for me. No set time to reach it just trying hard to stay on program and taking one day at a time. I use a lot of the can't believe it's not butter spray too. It's really good stuff.
|
HL, I didn't know you were supposed to count points when you were on the flex plan?!?! Thanks for the info about what you are eating. Yeah I'm w/ you on the not beating yourself up. It's good to eat what you want occasionally, makes it easier to eat better the rest of the time. That is right I forgot you couldn't weigh in last week. But still, 2 lbs. per week is great. I can only manage to lose 1 a week, argh.
RG, The watp for the abs uses the "walk away belt" which is a belt that you wear that has stretch cords w/ handles on it. I almost bought that one w/ the stretchie band. I also have a tape that utilizes some special weighted balls that she also sells, I never purchased the balls but just used some hand weights that I have had around forever. That is kind of frustrating that there is so many gadgets to buy, I wish she would just stick to one peice of equipment for all her tapes. I also have one of her tapes from way back it seems judging on the hairstyles and clothes they are wearing. And it is not called watp it's called walk aerobics. It's not too bad. I like to have a lot of them for variety, I don't want to get bored. But if you look for a new one my favorite is the one for the abs. I'm w/ you this "diet" really has to be a lifestyle change. Just like the excercising, it is something we should do for the rest of our lives. WW and Miki, Hope you are both well. MJ |
HL, Oh yeah I almost forgot but I wanted to tell you about a website that is a big help for people doing weight watchers, it is www.dottisweightlosszone.com. It has point values for food at tons of different restaurants and other good info too. Maybe you have already seen it but if not check it out. MJ

Hello ladies.
Just a quick post tonight, as I am tired already. Was a busy weekend. Hubby got his tattoo finished yesterday (that's what I got him for x-mas), then off to a birthday party in the evening, then up early this morning for a birthday/memorial type of party for my grandmother. Then.....spent the rest of the day doing laundry! I feel beat, even though I really didn't work too hard at anything, lol. I still need to run my dishes through the dishwasher tonight, and was really hoping to get the kitchen floors washed...so I'm running out of time for the weekend...Yikes! Sorry, I have to run...wanted to drop in so you all knew I was still here. Hope everyone had a great weekend! (and congrats on the losses everyone! Darn good job!). |
HL, I don't know what I was thinking. Actually I do now know what I was thinking, the core plan at ww. I got it mixed up with the flex plan (which they used to call winning points). So now we are on the same page about counting points. Which by the way I am having a hard time trying to stay within mine. I get 28 points a day and really haven't been taking in consideration the extra 35 points per week, although, I'm sure I have been using all of them. I also haven't been factoring in my excercise points because they say don't count them if you want to excelerate weight loss. But I'm probably using all of those too. Well some days are better than others and at least I am tracking what I eat and I know when I go over. Tomorrow is weigh-in for me hopefully I did ok.
WW, Great to hear from you again. Wow sounds like a busy weekend. Talk to you soon. Hey what was hubbies tattoo? MJ |
Hello
Hello ladies,
well the weekend is over and I'm glad because I didn't get my walking done:( but I'm going to today, my hubby got me a new treadmill friday it has a incline button so I'm gonna try that Emjay- 1 pound a week is good if you think of that in long terms thats 52 pounds in a year and thats good but I know I'm like you it don't feel like much well now that you know about the counting I bet you do better:) yeah it's hard to stay with in the points I get 26 points a day and some times I go over but thats when I use the 35 extra i don't always use my ap points , I do measure everything out or count things out to try to stay in my points I want to get a food scale so I can weight my meat oh I found a good snack and it's only 1 point fat free pringles you can eat 15 of them , what I do is get some little baggies ones that seal and count them all out put in the baggies and then you can grab one of them and you know how much is in it and how many points it is , I love chips so this is good for me I know about that web site and it's good but just be careful because she was worng with something I drank she had 3.5 and it was really 5 Rivergirl good luck with your mini goal :) WW ohhh I want a tattoo what kind was it?? p.s I have a mini goal to I want lose 10 ponds by march 4 because were going to go see George Strait,Tracy Lawrence and Miranda Lambert ohh I can't wait:carrot: :carrot: |
Hello ladies.
Well, hubby's tattoo is a big robot (50's style). It looks really good. The tattoo artist designed it for him and did a great job. Hubby used to have a lizard on his arm there, he got it when he was really young and it looked pretty crappy (a really bad job). The robot was to cover up the old yucky one...and it did the job. Can't even see the old tattoo anymore. Sorry this post isn't going to be so long. Today...I am sick. I'm sure it's just a cold...but I am so stuffed up and congested. It just started late last night, so I'm just starting to feel the aches, the sore teeth, the really sore & raw red nose. I am such a baby, lol. I'm mega thirsty too...so, I'm going to go lie down, and groan and whine and pour it on really thick so hubby will take pity on me and make dinner (he he he). He already picked me up from work....just too tired to walk today. Hope everyone is doing all right. I'm going to sleep for a couple of days. |
Hi all,
Short post from me today. Weigh in day, you guessed it, I lost 1 pound. HL, you are right I can't complain about one pound per week. Also, I'm jealous about your concert. I love love love Tracy Lawrence. WW, I hope you feel better. Hey I felt like I was getting sick a couple of weeks ago and I took that Airborne and it worked great, knocked everything right out. I had a nurse practitioner friend look at the ingredients and she said it looked ok, mostly immune system boosting herbs (echinacea and such). You may want to try it. later, MJ |
Wow! Took me forever to read all the posts I've missed lately. Now I only have a few minutes to post myself because I need to get ready for work.
I've missed everyone the last week. Rivergal, glad to see you're back! Sounds like all of you are doing great with your weightloss. HELP! I cant seem to get it going lately. I hate not being able to workout. The MRI did show a torn rotator cuff. The doc wants me to see a specialist but I am going to wait until it will count toward my Feb deductible. I have an appt on Feb 13. SHould have waited on the MRI also but at the time, my shoulder was bothering me really bad and I practically couldnt use it at all. For the last week or so, I have gotten used to pretty much doing nothing with my left arm and it has gotten alot better already. From the difference in how it feels already, I dont think surgery should be necessary. Just going to keep not using it til I see the specialist just to be sure I dont mess it up worse. Well, really gotta hurry and get ready for work. Just wanted to check in and say hello and tell ya'll how much I missed everyone! Have a good day! Miki |
Hey Miki, So glad you are back. Thought maybe you got wisked away to surgery or something. Glad that you didn't though, hopefully surgery won't be necessary. I feel for you not being able to work out, I know it would kill me. But you could go out and get youself a watp tape and leave the arms out, you'd still get a good workout. Well whatever you do hang in there. Talk to you later.
MJ |
Hey Miki, So glad to hear from you. I really hope everything goes good at the doc. you're going to see. You just hang in there. I know it's hard to stay OP when you're not feeling good. but you're be better soon and then you can kick some butt. You could do like MJ said and get you a WATP dvd and do that without the arm movements. I love doing the WATP and I'm getting really good results. Thank goodness I'm back on track after getting those darn gained pounds over Christmas gone. You can do this. One day at a time.
MJ: Good job on the pound lost. Anytime there's a loss or no gain that's a good thing. Remember if we lose 1 or 2 a week, No saggy skin when it's all gone. WW: Sorry you're feeling bad. Sending Hugs your way. Feel better soon and take care of yourself. Good idea to moan and groan and let hubby take care of you. We need that sometimes anyway. HL: Good deal on the treadmill,I hope you enjoy it while it walks away your pounds. I like to listen to music when I walk the treadmill, It makes it go a lot faster. Altho these days I always do the WATP dvd. Love it. Today I started out my day with the 2 mile WATP. Eating was good but went to fish camp buffet for supper. But I didn't do too bad. Didn't go back for seconds. It was really good. It's a mini buffet with alaskian white fish and calabash chicken, french fries, onion rings, hush puppies, slaw. All you can eat for $3.99. Can't beat that. But can't do that often. That's my splurge night for this week. All be good and I'll talk to ya later, Rivergal |
Where is everybody? Did you all take the day off? No fair, no one told me we could be off today. I already did the 2 mile WATP. It's been a pretty good day. Well, I'm off to fix some supper. Stir fry with rice.
Miss Yall, Come back please! Talk to ya later or talk to myself. Either way I'm sure the company will be good. LOL. Rivergal |
RG, Sorry it took me so long to get here today. I had to watch "The Biggest Loser." I love that show, it's so motivating. I did 2-mile watp today too and 1-mile yesterday. Good for you on the stir-fry today, it sounds way healthy. I did really good w/ food today too until I went out for dinner tonight. I had grilled chicken salad which was good but then I had a gooey choclate dessert w/ a scoop of ice cream. But I only ate about 3/4 of it. It was great but now I regret it cuz my stomach hurts. Well I have got to get to bed now because I am meeting a friend at the gym tomorrow AM (7:30) to try it out.
Hope everyone else is well. MJ |
Hey Mj, going to gym that early. Go Girl, I'll still be in the bed. So, do a few exercises for me. LOL. You bad girl, that dessert sounded wonderful. Tonight when I eat my sugar free jello w/lite cool whip I'll pretend it's as good as what you had. Well, off to watch " Ground Hog Day" It's that time of year. Funny movie.
Talk to ya later, Hey to everybody and have a Great Friday!! Rivergal |
Hi everybody :)
Well, believe it or not, I've actually done a good job with my eating for two whole days now!! Thanks to all of ya'll...I was ashamed hearing how well everyone else has been doing the last several weeks and decided a hurt shoulder is no excuse to slack off. Hoping for a loss by Monday. Emjay, that dessert sounded sooo good!:p But not eating all of it is progress in itself. Hard to leave something that looks and tastes so good. We went out last night, and I had grilled chicken salad also. It was really good..I could eat that every night if someone would fix it for me. lol Rivergal, I eat the sugar free jello w/lite cool whip also. It has very little calories. I also get the sugar free or fat free jello pudding and add the cool whip on top also. YUMMY I hope WW is feeling better. I've had a cold too and it gets old FAST. Mine is almost gone, thank goodness. Ohhhh! Just have to vent a second....I found out today that hubby's company decided AGAINST the new insurance!!! Now, this new one was supposed to have started yesterday. My MRI was going to be 1100.00 if I had insurance but since ours was changing so soon and it wouldnt count toward a deductible, they let me file it "private pay" instead of claiming it on my old insurance which saved me a huge amount. Private Pay only cost 515.00 compared to the 1100.00. I didnt file it because it wasnt going to count toward my deductible except now I find out that Oops, yes it would have because we have the same stinking company! I know I would have had to pay more out of pocket (the whole 1100) because our deductible is so high, but that would have put us halfway to meeting it. PLUS, with private pay, I only have 45 days to pay the entire 515.00 whereas I could have taken all year to pay the 1100! Guess either way, I lose huh?:( Just thinking about insurance makes my blood pressure go sky high! Whew! Ok, just had to get that outta my system. lol Just infuriates me though that they can charge someone double just because they have insurance. It's all a scam! The hospitals, insurance, pharmacists, all of it. Ok, I thought I was thru but guess not quite.:D Sorry. lol Well, better go. We were assigned online bank courses for work and they are due to be finished by Feb 10. There are 3 of them and they all take 1-2 hrs each. I want to get them out of the way so I wont be panicking the last day or so to get it done. Talk to ya'll again soon. MIKI |
hey all
Hello everyone, well I went to wi on wed and I was feeling like I didn't lose
well to my surprise I lost 3.6 pounds :carrot: wow I don't know how I did but glad I did. well I did increase my water to try and make up for the missed walking so I don't know, well I can't stay here long so chat at ya all later :) |
Way to go, Hoosierlady! 3.6 lbs is great! Drinking more water is something I need to really work on. I know it makes a huge difference from past experience. It's just hard getting back into that habit.
Well, I took 2 of the bank courses last night. Made 100 on one and 95 on the other..whoohoo!!:cb: Just one more left to do before next Friday. Still on track with my eating, I'm happy to report. Dont know why or how I finally got back into that mindset, but somehow it happened and I'm sooo determined to get this weight off! Ya'll are so motivating. I know as long as I keep coming here, I'll be able to do it. Easier just knowing it's a group effort and not something we have to do alone. Wonder where everyone else is today.:?: I wish the rest of the original gang would find us and check in also. Well, guess I'll go for now. Hope to hear from everyone else soon! Have a great weekend! Miki |
I have returned! And...I can breathe! :carrot:
Feeling much better, sorry I was MIA, just felt like sleeping and nothing else (sleeping on the floor, lol.) Don't know why, but the floor is really comfy when I'm sick. So many posts to catch up on...sounds like everyone is doing good. Miki, sorry about the diagnosis...and the crappy turn of events in the insurance. I completely understand your rant. Would this be a bad time to tell you I work for an insurance company? lol. Just home & auto though...no medical. Also, I'm in IT so I really know nothing about insurance (except how much of it I pay..grrrrrr). I can't believe they would retract the new insurance plan with such short notice! My company changed their benefits plan last year too...so I had to face the double deductible issue last year too...I was fortunate to not be injured or ill at the time though. I hope it works out...maybe there is a way to change the paperwork claim now that the circumstance has changed? It's worth a try calling them...although I understand the frustations of calling your health coverage providers....hello on-hold music. I am glad to hear your arm is feeling better though...I'll pray for no surgery for you. Well, I know everyone else has updated on this board, hopefully tomorrow I'll make a more detailed post. I've been sleeping all week, so I need to get out of the house. Going to a movie in about 20 minutes (The Matador)...so I have to go. Talk to you all tomorrow. |
Miki, Okay again, don't get me going on the insurance companies. THEY SUCK! I have worked w/ them long enough to know that. But I will say you have to keep your wellness in mind. Really that is all that matters. But I know how it feels. Our country needs to take a good hard look at this. Please keep on track though it keeps me motivated as well. You can do this! I'm right w/ ya!
HL, Congrats on the weight loss. You are doing awesome!:carrot: Keep it up, you're my idol (not american idol either). WW, Sorry about the insurance comments. Honestly, I thought that was something you did not have to worry about in Canada?!?! Socialized health care??? Glad you are feeling well and off the floor!! You are so lucky to be going to all these movies. Let me know what you think of "The Matador". "Fun w/ Dick and Jane" looks good to me right now. My new job is really taking it out of me. Not eating much lately though, I guess that is a good thing. Hubby comes home tomorrow, can't wait! Happy Super Bowl weekend! It's in my state this year... MJ |
Weigh-in day! I'm down 3 lbs. Yay for me!!!!
Where is everyone???? |
Emjay, I was down 3 lbs today also! Cool huh? I was extra thrilled since it's the first time I've seen the scale budge (at least downward) in a long time. Thanks for encouraging me to keep on track..I need that. I'm definitely motivated. It's a good incentive to keep on once some progress has been made for a change. I also finished up my last course for work...made a 96 so finished with an A average overall. Glad to get those out of the way.
Everyone must be busy today. Hope to hear from the rest of the gang soon. Cant wait for next Monday already because I just know I'll be down again. Feels GREAT being back on track!!! Miki |
Hey! What happened to my tracker??:?: I noticed a few days ago it was gone so today I went to the User CP place to redo it and it showed to be there so I thought "Oh, maybe it was just gone during the server change for some reason." So, I edited it to show my 3 lb loss and just realized as I was leaving that last post that it still doesnt show up. Emjay, didnt you have one also?? WW's is still there. I'm confused.:dizzy:
|
Just a quick checkin. Had a busy weekend and lots of catching up to do. Had to change my tracker. Down 2 pounds. By just a glance it looks like everyone has lost this passed week. That's great. We all are on track. Be back later to catch up. Gotta go get some stir fry ready.
|
Hello All.
Looks like everyone is losing weight this week. I am down 2lbs. Of course, I was sick, so we'll see if that creeps back up as the moisture gets back into my body, lol. Emjay, no worries about the insurance comments. I just work in IT, I don't really know much about insurance. Yes, we still have to worry about that stuff here in Canada. We have universal health care (which we pay for), but not everything is covered. If you want stuff like physiotherapy, chiropractor, dental, etc...you have to pay for it yourself...unless your employer offers a benefits package, which mine does. Of course..the benefits package is not free, there are deductions off every cheque to pay for it..then of course, the benefits themselves don't offer 100% coverage. If I go to the dentist, about 90% is covered if the service is basic (fillings, checkups, yada yada), but if it's major it's only covered 50%. The rest I have to pay for. So, hope I didn't break the illusion, health care in Canada is not free, lol...but very heavily subsidized (which helps a heck of a lot). I could go on an on about other problems (major long wait times for specialists, surgeries, special treatments, bed shortages in hospitals...)..but it would get boring, lol. Emjay, hope you enjoyed the Superbowl. If it's not hockey, I know nothing about it, who won? lol. Congrats on the 3lbs. too! Miki, congrats on getting the losses moving again. I see you are also at 3 lbs, that's a pretty darn good loss. I wish I knew where your tracker went..weird. Rivergal, congrats on the 2lbs. Dang, we are all doing a good job! Hope you enjoyed the stirfry. Anyway, I have chicken cooking away & it's almost done. I'll talk to you all later! |
Hey guys!! Sorry I haven't been on much...I've really really gone through a depression slump. I went 2 weeks eating and not exercising. I know I know...bad me. But who, more than you all, will really know what is going through my mind? It's a constant fight....every day. But guess what, I still lost 1 pound!! Anyway...I'm back on track - I hope!! Now I gotta go fix my ticker.
|
Hey everyone,
Congrats to everyone on their losses. I was pretty happy w/ mine. But this week might be a different story. I seem to be a little out of control and excercise has been hit or miss w/ the new job and all. But listening to all of you is definately motivating. Miki, I'm so glad you are back on track. You are the one person that initially motivated me to get moving so I'm glad you are still around. Hey, about the tickers, only the first few posts on a page show the tickers. Something about that people w/ dial-up it was taking them to long to log on w/ the tickers being attached to every post. Did that make sense? WW, That is how I thought health care in Canada was, except I did not think that employers offered it. I have heard about the long waits and shortages (which is never good). I have worked in the medical field for a long time so I actually do find it interesting although other probably do find it extremely boring. Thanks for the info. RG, Three words for you, "Keep It Up". You are doing great. Shawna, Welcome back. Sorry to hear about the depression, all the more reason to check in frequently. I know it always lifts my spirits. You have lost a lot of weight thus far you should be proud. mj |
Welcome back Shawna!! Losing that lb should help your spirits huh?:) Girl, dont ever stay away just because you feel you've slacked off...thats the time you need us most! ( and we need you too) It takes all of you to keep me in line.lol
Rivergal, congrats on the 2 lbs. By the way, when I read you were having stir fry, it made me want some too so thats what I did. Thanks for guiding me to eat something healthy. WW and Emjay, way to go! You two just keep going and going with the weightloss. It's motivating to me so keep it up! Thanks for the track info. I think we're on a new page so maybe it'll be back when I post this...we'll see. ( by the way, I'm a "dial upper" lol) Well, I need to work on paying some bills so I better get off here. Just wanted to check in and see how ya'll were all doing this week. Have a good rest of the week! Miki |
Yeah! There it is...good! I love my tracker :D (especially when it gets to move downward.)

Hello everyone. Happy Friday! :carrot:
Well, this week was not the most exciting. Just worked, not much else going on. The 2lbs. I lost last week have stayed off, so maybe I am getting somewhere again. Welcome back Shawna. Sorry to hear about the slump. Sounds like you had a rough couple of weeks. Well, you still lost a lb. so good for you. Yeah, we all know what it's like...good to see you again. Hello Emjay, sorry to hear your week is a bit out of control. We all have weeks like that, I'm sure next week will be better, especially after you have had more time to settle into the new job. I forgot to tell you how The Matador was...don't bother. It is an interesting story...but moved very slow and dragged quite a bit. Not worth the money shelled out in a theatre, lol. Hi Miki! Yay, your tracker is back, lol. Hmmm...I have some bills to pay too. Yuck! Today, I showed an amazing restraint with my credit card. I was at the Bay after work, decided to look at the furniture. There was a really nice couch being sold. It was a customer return, and it was in need of a shampoo (looks like the movers didn't wrap it in plastic before shipping it). All the staining was pretty light though, it would come out easily. To get rid of it, it was reduced from $1299 down to $399. OMG, that is a good sale. I really need a new couch too...but, I have a goal to get out of debt this year and it has been going good...so I resisted. Yay for me! Anyway, glad to see everyone is still around. Will talk to you all again later in the weekend. |
Hello everyone.
Well, today I have to go out & buy a new DVD player. We were using Jim's PlayStation to watch DVDs, but it skips them too much. I'm kind of bummed because I don't want to lay out a lot of cash for one. Just a simple player would be good enough for me. dh unfortunately will want all the bells and whistles, lol. It will need a built in VCR, it will need to burn DVDs....arghhhhh....$$$$$$. Men, they like to have all the toys. I guess I can't complain, he doesn't understand my shopping habits either (I can't make him understand why one needs to have so many different purses around, lol). Well, it appears another lb. is gone. That's pretty darn cool. I hope this keeps up! I'm thinking of picking up a bathing suit and start swimming again. The thing is...I'm really self concious of how my legs look. It's odd, because I never used to care. I always figured there would be a lot of other people there in the same situation (and there are). Now I have some terrible fear I will see someone I know there and must keep myself covered! Maybe instead I should just get some new jogging pants so I can go back to my step classes. That might be safer, lol. Well, going to pull myself together to go shopping. Talk to you all later, and hope everyone had a great weekend! |
Hi all,
Well I weighed in yesterday and I was up 1 pound. I kind of expected it w/ losing 3 last week and eating at a chinese buffet two days in a row this weekend (only 1 trip to the buffet each time though). I have only managing to get in 1-mile watp when I work though. I have today and tomorrow off and plan on doing nothing less then 3-miles. Congrats WW on another pound gone. Good for you on the couch, it would have been hard for me to pass it up too. Miki, How's the shoulder doing??? RG and Shawna, hope you are doing well. |
Hello everyone :) Well, went to the specialist Monday and since my shoulder has already improved over the last week or two, I get to try Physical Therapy. He started to give me a steroid shot but decided maybe just the PT would be enough. I have to go to 3 sessions then I'll know how to do the rest of the sessions myself at home. That's good. As they say tho, when it rains it pours. Phil (dh) bent over yesterday to get his shoes out of the closet before work and all of a sudden he YELLS. His back went out and I mean BAD. He could not stand up straight at all...has to walk all bent over and cannot walk at all without a cane to lean on. He went today and had to have a steroid shot, muscle relaxers, pain pills and they also gave him high blood pressure pills. He's never had a prob with his bp before. I think maybe it's from the pain he's been in. Anyway, he's starting to feel some better tonight.
As for weightloss, that didnt happen for me this week either.:( I'm going to TRY not to weigh for a couple of weeks. My weight this last week has fluctuated like crazy. In one week, the scale has shown 114, 109, 111. When I get excited over a loss then it goes up in a day like that, I get very discouraged. I think maybe I'll do better without letting the scale determine how I feel for awhile. Well, need to go baby and pamper dh for awhile I guess. lol Bye for now Miki |
