Whew! No new posts in almost a week! I'm only here on the weekends until I can remember to send my darned password to work so I can get on there again! It's **** gettin' old. The ol' brain, she is a mess!

November was NOT a good month for me. I set goals on another website and followed up with them every week but I actually GAINED weight during the month. I have been eating way too much sodium...part of that was due to one of my goals. I was trying to make things easier on myself when I come home from my long 11-hour work day...so I set one of my goals to eat 1-2 lowfat frozen dinners a week. I figured this would be fast and easy for me AND assure me a balanced, lowfat meal. But unfortunately, most of those frozen dinners have WAY too much sodium for someone like me (I'm hypertensive and I am very sensitive to sodium on top of that) so I just filled up with fluid retention from the extra salt. Ick! I'm back down to my first week of November weight now, so looking better!

Hope you will all check in now and then through the holiday season, whether you doing well or not! You don't have to say if you aren't doing well, but we will support you either way!

It's good to hear from you, Kathy....sorry to hear you've been having trouble posting. I only post from home these days, but I haven't had any trouble posting. Sure is quiet around here...no one posting for a week at a time!

Hope everyone has a marvelous holiday!

Hi there ladies,

Had an extremely hectic week and didn't get much time online. Did interviews for the receptionist's post and that meant two days of running backwards and forwards and not accomplishing very much! Tomorrow the boss will be doing the final two interviews and I can then go on holiday in peace, as I'll be back at my other desk next year.

We close on Thurs for Christmas and will only be back in Jan. I cannot wait!!! We had our year end function yesterday and went microlighting! It was great fun and I now want to go again! It was much more relaxed than lunch at a resturant would have been!

My eating hasn't been so good, but last week was better. Hope to get on track again when I'm at home and can cook again. My mom and I have found a flat and we will be moving at the end of Jan. It is in the same block as my brother so it means not having to buy a washing machine for a while yet!! He will also be nearby to rescue us from parktown prawns!! (they are these really ugly bugs that we get here!) Now all we have to do is pack and that will give her new worries!

I won't be posting much until Jan as I won't want to run up my mom's phone bill! Will check in until thurs though.

If no contact before then, hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!

Meg

Hi ladies,

Kathy, microlighting is basicly a hang glider with seats and an engine! It steered the same way as a hang glider. Is really cool and we went up to 2000 feet. Hope the photo attachement comes through.

We're closing up today at about 12, so if no more contact, will be back in the new year.

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

Meg

Default Hi Everyone!

I'm new here and thrilled to find this thread. I'm 30 and single and often find the holidays kind of depressing. I've recently made huge strides in conquering my emotional eating issues and have developed a much more healthy relationship with food. This time of year is a struggle, though, to keep moving forward, but to also enjoy our friends and family, and some of the wonderful holiday treats - without guilt or shame!

Hi everyone! Just a quick note from home before I hop in the shower to get to work. I overslept today and was just having a bowl of cereal while I check my email so I thought I'd pop over here since I can't from work.

Hope you all have a marvelous holiday! I will be out of town and off line a few days over the Christmas weekend.

Have a great time in Florida, Kath! Wave hi to my brother.

hi singles! i've been trying to pop in but i couldn't get my mom's computer to let me to the site. she has special programming for work purposes and she had to cancel the pop up blocker for me to pop in.

i am having a nice relaxing visit. i have been very lucky with the weather. i have done a lot of pool side sitting. we didn't do any tourist stuff this time, so basically i just got some needed rest. i head home on wednesday and i think i am ready. i miss my girlies!

i don't know about you but i am sure glad this holiday thing is over. too hectic for me. now i can focus on some things for myself.

welcome hibiscus8! glad to have you here. what are some of your tips for emotional eating?? i sure can use any help i can get.

i will check back later this week when i get home. have a great week!

Hello Ladies,

The hols are over and it's back to work today, although there are only two of us here and I'm sure we'll be leaving early! The hols were good, my nephew's wedding went off without a hitch and he also started work today at his first 'real' job. I had a week of house sitting and watched an incredible amount of tv as they have cable which I don't have at home - my useless miscelaneous information has increased tenfold! lol. Have started back on Weight Watchers as of yesterday and have made all sorts of charts and things to keep me on track. I've picked up some weight over the last month or so, but things always seem easier to do in January! Did weights yesterday and am now really stiff with sitting at my desk for so long! I also find that without the exercise I'm much stiffer and more painful even with all the vitamins and supplements that I take. Doesn't bode well for the future, but I hope that I can ****** some of the degeneration as I go along. I've also got a very croaky voice so I sound really good when I answer the phone!

Must go now and have a look at all the other sites I've missed since I've been away.

Meg

Good to see people posting here again. I was feeling abandoned! hehe

Glad you guys had a good holiday. I did too...was in Delaware. The only downside is that it's very likely my favorite pup won't see another Christmas, so we were all a bit teary on Christmas morning. Several of us gifted pictures of him and such...I got them all a sheet of stamps with Paco's picture on them...got one for myself too. Not cheap but a special gift!

Second week back at work and I actually HAD work yesterday - typed non stop nearly the whole day! Today is back to surfing and reading! Next week my pet engineer is back so things will get more hectic. I also only habe 2 more weeks of sitting out front here and then I can go back to my little desk in the corner!! I can't wait!

My dieting is back on track and I lost 1,5kg last week!!!! Have been keeping a food diary and noting down all that I eat and exercise as well. Hope that the motivation continues like this!
