I will run it by my parents and see what they think. I know my mom is feeling a bit under the weather so not sure since Dad works on Sundays. Plan ahead laura, maybe even what restaurants you will go to if you know in advance and it is a familiar place for you. I know you can stay OP and no need to play 007 on yourself. Heaven knows I sure have done that a few times and it just so isn't worth it and then I had to relose what I had already done instead of pressing onto the goal.

Melra, I am doing the virtual walk across america and am finding it super motivating to keep going with exercise. It's broken down into milestones, and it gives exactly where you are "walking" through in the country for each one. I am in milestone 5, my goal was to finish it this month but I didn't make it. So, I want to finish it and complete 6 in October. It's just over 100 miles, which I know I can do because I did it in August...and actually lost weight that month.

Melissa, I hope your mom took your son. I would be afraid to let him go, with the adult tension and then not knowing what those charges are...go with your gut and don't let him go. Mommies have a special connection and you cannot go wrong by following your gut.

I might be around more tomorrow than I normaly am on weekends, because hubby has to take his motorcycle to the dealer and get all kinds of stuff he ordered for it put on. Well, we learned that they charge $150 if they put it all on for you, and that they don't tell you that until AFTER they do it. We were very thankful a friend told us that, so he will be hauling it home in the truck and putting it on himself...150 bucks, sheesh. I'll be around the house bringing in the new month and getting situated on my new goals. I have been repeating "no red meat, no sugar, no fast food" over and over in my head all day. I feel like it's new years or something

well i didn't go over my calories too much today, but for some reason i decided to have an extra dinner today. i could have gone without it, and i was not extraordinarily hungry, but i ate it anyway. well, what can i say.. i red-heart ravioli. i actually had ravioli for three meals today. you'd think i'd be sick of it by now, but i just can't get enough of the stuff. when i can find ways to incorporate cheese, bacon, or ice cream into my diet plan, i go whole-hog. emphasis on the hog of course i have slowed down on my weight loss, but i am going to write that off as just not being in a losing spurt right now (couldn't be all that ice cream, nawww). at least i haven't gained.
wish me luck tomorrow, y'all. i am going to a wedding (mmmm, cake!!), and after that, i am going to visit my friends in san diego (when i do that, for some reason i always go over on my calories.) last time i went there to visit was the unmentionable burrito incident (local burritos just don't do it for me.. s.d. burritos remind me of my youth i guess).

THE SCALE WENT DOWN!!! And I had to restep, restep, to make sure it wasn't lying to me. I'm down 2 lbs, not a bad way to start the month. Even though I didn't lose pounds in Sept., my body was doing something because I lost 5.5 inches (same I lose in Aug. with 8 lb. loss):

2 from chest
1 from hips
1 from thighs
1 from calves
.5 from ankles

I only count one ankle, one calf. Last month, I gained one on my calf, this month it came off, prob cause i did less exercise to pump them up. I lost from my waist last month and not from my ankle, so there is some difference in the areas here. I feel SO much better knowing I was doing something good while not losing pounds. The inches still came off, so I must have more muscle in there now

Awesome job on the inches and those pounds gone! Keep going and I don't know about you, but I adore moving that darn ticker down even if it is one!

For september I made my goals. I had a total loss of 18lbs. I never did measure myself but I suppose I should have just so I can see and with all the movement, I am sure I made my excersize goal too and then some. I am practically in constant motion. I scored some Halloween costumes for the kids through freecycle yesterday so I will pick those up today plus run a bunch of errends too. The other grandma is coming this afternoon to pick up the girls and take them birthday shopping together since their birthdays are so close together. So IF my support is finally here today, I will take Josh and grocery shop too. I can't believe how giddy I feel. I think right now I weigh what I did when I went in to deliver joshua 9 years ago or I am really close to it. We got a new month fresh start so let's go!
