Sherry-Wonderful job on the loss!

I'm not feeling too great, I'm getting a cold. Just wanted to pop in to say hello. I think I got overheated when I ran on Saturday because I was getting hot flashes throughout the day, then I went ahead and ran again yesterday. I'm taking a rest today. I don't want to get sick because we are going to Gainesville and Tallahassee this weekend to check out colleges.

Have a good night everyone!

salt & pepper to taste

I'm back! I didn't hit any jackpots at the casino, but I did bring home more than I took! I took $65 with me and I gambled on the $5 all night. When we left I had $78, and that was after giving Stewart $20 to help pay for food. Of course, I should have brought home more--at one point I was up to around $140, but I gambled it back away. It was a really fun trip!

Yesterday was my first night of school. I think that class is going to be good. I also have class tonight and Thursday night. I'm still a bit nervous about it--there's a lot of heavy reading to do.

I was flirted with last night by a guy around 24-25-ish. When I said something about my husband he dropped the conversation like a hot potato! Still made me feel good

Hope everyone is doing well.

Cheryl

A flirt now & then does wonders for our self image Cheryl. Even if we know we would never act upon a flirt, it's still fun! I'm sure the young man saw the gorgeous young woman we have grown to love here on the board.

Shelley, are you better today? Did becky get everything straightened out with the test?

Sher, the chicken recipe sounds yummy! I'm glad low carbing is working for you!! I would do ok if I could just sew my mouth shut. LOL!

Ramona, are you feeling better today? Is work still so very stressful?

Dee, how was the trip?

Have any of you heard or experienced the benefits of drinking elderberry tonic? A few teaspoons a day is said to control such things as blood sugar, allergies etc. Allison is fighting her seasonal allergies again and if you all remember last year, she then ended up with a serious bacterial infection. I am considering purchasing a bottle and trying it out on her, but I just wanted to check here first to see if anyone had heard of it.

Sherry congratulations, you are doing great. I am so proud of you. I know that you must feel so much better about yourself. I know that when I am in control of my eatting I feel good. Your recipe sounds like it has a lot of flavor. Thanks for sharing.

Shelley good luck in picking the right college. It is a tough call. Take care of that cold. You made a good choice on taking a break from running. You will get back on your feet sooner if you take it easy.

Gayle your poor Allison. I do remember how sick she was last year. I haven't hear of elderberry tonic. I wish that I could help you.

Cheryl you did well at the casino. Most people put everything back in that they won hoping for the big one. I bet just getting away for the weekend was nice.

Ramona how are you coping with work now. I was also abused when I was a little kid so I know how you must be feeling dealing with creeps at work. I feel for you.

Our weekend away was wonderful I got to visit with some of my favotite people in the world. Nichole the bride is a very young bride. She is turning 19 next month. I think that they have a better chance than most young couples. She married a ministers son. The have a very strong faith. We wish them the best.
Thank you for the prayers and support for my father. He will not talk about it. He is in denial and says there is nothing wrong with him. Gayle thanks for the words of encouragement and information. Dad will see cancer care in the middle of september.
Today is Larry's birthday. We are going out to an Italian Restaurant tonight. After that we will come back and have cake with the kids.
On thursday we are having a bunch of people over from our aqua fit class. One of the guys is going to do a class for us in our pool. After that we are having a pot luck dinner. We figure that if we exercise first it will take care of our sinful eatting that night. lol

Have a good day.

Dee, just give your father some time to let things absorb. I think it is very hard for the strong head of the family to realize they can become ill...some probably feel it is a sign of weakness on their part and maybe they could of did something differently to prevent such a thing. I'm sure he is feeling a mixture of emotions now, from wondering how he will continue to watch after your mother considering her health problems to just being scared of the unknown. Prayers sent sweetie.

Hi Girls

My life has been so crazy for the last 10 months, sometimes it's hard to have a clear head. BUT here goes!!

School is crazy and I already feel over-worked...LOL.

Shelley....Thanks for all your encouragement over on the exercise thread. I'm so tired most afternoon, I have to take a 20 minute {nap} then exercise.

Gayle...How is the new job going. I just noticed your tracker. WOW...You are doing great!!

Carol....How is your ankle? I thought about you today when my {normal} feet hurt me so bad. Take Care!!

Sherry....Thank you for all your inspiration in getting us back on track. I have actually been excited about this low-carb thing because we are doing it together. Thanks also for encouraging me to do the water aerobics.

Dee....When I LURK and read the posts, I always read about your adventures. You live such an exciting life.

Cheryl... I bet the casino was fun. When me and Sherry went to New Orleans 2 or 3 years ago where I went in my first casino , we had a hard time spending 20.00 dollars apiece. We ended up listening to the band and {having a few} LOL

Vicki....Hope you are doing alright with your back now. You must have nerves of steel keeping children. I kept my grands this summer, but just one at a time.

Well...I'm late for my nap...then water aerobics before hubby gets home.

Hugs Everyone...deb

Gayle, I believe that elderberry is the main ingredient in Sambucol, which is a product I get at the health food store. It will stop a cough dead in it's tracks!

Dee, I am feeling much better this week. Thanks for asking. Two of the women are back at work so I'm only doing 2 jobs now. It's nice to have a break!

Cheryl...WHOOHOO! LET 'EM FLIRT GIRL!!
