Amanda: I don't have info on the children except they had been left in the hotel room unfed and unchanged for 2 days. I don't know what the circumstances were they came to be there nor how the grandma found out about it. Keep working hard as I know you are going to get to your goal next year, I just feel it. As for me, Jack and I made a pact we would go back to eating correctly together right after we get home from vacation. He has put on lbs too and doesn't want to go to the cardiologist in November having gained almost 20 lbs back since last year.

Susan/VA: Keeping our fingers crossed that your upgrade will be a breeze this time. I went through many of those when I worked at the law firm and it is always a pain to get all the bugs out.

Julie: No pasture for you kiddo. We are going to keep on you and be with you to get those lbs off by Christmas. You can do this and you can get back to where you want to be.

I have errands to run this morning. Got to get a hold mail card from the post office as I do it several days in advance because they always seem to screw it up and it gives me time to fix it. I also have a couple things I want to get at Target.

For those of you exercise trainers who give us the blah blah blah that exercise helps with cramps, GET A LIFE! I was ok before I went out to the pool and now I am cramping again. SIGH! Sooner or later this has GOT TO STOP PERMANENTLY!

Afternoon All ... I am glad it is Weds Woes so that I can complain for a while.
I guess it would be that I binge ate last night for about 30 mins and I have not done that for a long time ... dh went out to mow the yard and I basically lost control and ate and ate and ate, then had pizza for dinner. So I do not know what triggered it, but I was very disappointed in myself, especially since dh is doing so well and I am not. But as I have said before today is another day and I am totally OP, so far ... I am not going to weigh myself for another few days... let some of the water weight go down...

Faye - I cannot believe ( but I can ) that you have packed already, I know you are sooooooooooooooo excited... you know I totally agree with you, no dieting on a vacation, it ruins it somehow ... but you can come back and start anew, both you and Jack...

Julie - I know you can get under 200 by Christmas, heck if you try hard enough you can get under it by October I look forward to you being in Onderland with me!! It is nice here, come on over!!

Amanda - Glad that you are holding steady and not gaining weight, it must be from all of your exercise ... now get the food back under control and get those pounds off ... you too can be in Onederland in no time ... I barely got there myself, ha ha

Afternoon everyone, hope you are all doing well ... I did have a good day yesterday after all, I was able to stay OP and get right back on program from the binge the night before, so I am feeling better now...I even was able to stay way under calories for the day ( or under my WW points ). I have to get fitted for my sisters wedding in two weeks, so I am anxious about that, especially since my other sister ( who is a year younger than me ) is about the same size as me ( only she is about 3 inches taller ) and I really hope I dont end up having to have the bigger dress but oh well if I do ... the wedding is on Sept 24th, so hopefully I do not lose too much weight between being fitted and when I have to wear it... I cannot possibly lose enough in one month to make it look to big anyhow.

Faye - Thanks for the encouraging words, how you doing program wise? You have had such good losses lately.

Hi to everyone, I am going to get back to work... I am so over this job this week, I have had to work over every night this week and I will have to work Saturday as well... the only plus is that I will have about an extra $200 on my next check so maybe I can do some badly need clothes shopping.

FRIDAY: Today is Fabulous Friday Follies and our folly ? for this week is, what is the screwiest diet you ever tried to lose weight on?

Carri: You are going to look so beautiful for you sister's wedding. I bet you are excited. I was only 11 when my older sister got married in a tiny wedding the first time and lived far away the second and my younger sister got married the August of the year after I did and I was 6 hugely months pregnant (Jay ended up being 10 lbs and 22 inches long so I looked like a whale) so I didn't get to be in either wedding nor my brother's, but my dd was a flower girl in my brother's wedding. Thinking about my sister's wedding and how big I was... they only have one picture of me hiding behind their car because I refused to be photographed. I had this cute pink dress I bought at Motherhood Maternity with money I couldn't afford to spend (they didn't have the Walmarts and Targets they do now and you had to buy at maternity places for the most part. ) Anyway, the dress came to my knees in back and my mid thighs in front because I was so big. It is funny to think about now, but I was sure miserable back then. The only thing I can say is I got a beautiful little (definitely not so little anymore) boy out of it 32 years ago! Hope you have fun with all the preparations. I am hanging steady with the weight loss since I had TOM and have been miserable for several days. I just want to try and at least stay where I am before we go and not eat a bunch of junk and I have been ok in that way.

Well, we are officially under a week now. Jack's last day of work this week so he can relax when he gets home tonight for the weekend. We are going to T's soccer practice Sat morning and Mon night so that will take up some time and I need to clean the house before we go and get everything for the cat ready, get the dog to the pet resort, etc etc. It will keep me busy along with my last few pool workouts. I come back and it is back to walking until Memorial Day next year again, but that's ok. When it cools down, I think I will neighborhood walk then do treadmill work when it gets too cool or bad weather out to walk outside. A lot of ladies walk their dogs around the same time every morning here so I might do it with them.

I need to go. Have a good weekend everyone if I don't get back in here today

I got 4 points yesterday - I'm gradually reining in my eating at last! Nigel is in the kitchen now cooking my tea so all is well with the world!

I went for a swim yesterday as it was so hot, it was my first swim in a month and I found it such hard work! Whoever said swimming was an easy option was lying! I did 22 lengths but it was a struggle as I just couldn't get into a proper rhythm so I was not swimming 'effiiciently' and therefore wasting energy. Boy, was I aching afterwards - but it certainly tightened everything up! There is definately no other exercise that works your whole body like that!

CARRI - Good for you for getting straight back OP after your binge - it's great that you can do that now, rather than slipping into days of bad eating. We all go off track now and again and the key to our success is getting straight back OP before any lasting damage is done. I agree, you will look lovely at the wedding - you've come such a long way!

FAYE - I'm glad you are looking forward to Vegas - not long now!

Amanda you are doing such a terrific job. Keep up the good work! I wish I had the pool available all year long I love it that much. No stress on my knees and I can work a lot harder in the pool and for a longer time than on the ground. Ahh, well, it will be there next year!

Everyone have a great weekend. I am going to be pretty busy up until the time we leave so I may only get in here once a day to set things up. I apologize, but there is so darn much to do and fit in 2 soccer practices besides!

HI ALL ... well I really do not have any sunny thoughts to share today since I am soooooooooooo tired ... I had to get up at 6:15am this morning to be at work by 7:00, normally I do not ever have to work Saturdays and it does not help that I was out late at a bar watching my dh's band ... so I am really tired and in need of a nap, thank God I only work until 3:00 so I only have a few more mins ... right now Faye is thinking is 6:15 early? I see you posted at 5 something this morning, huh?

Well I guess I do have a sunny thought because tonight a cold front is coming through here and we will have a high of the upper 70's , woo hoo ... so sick of these 90's ... I think it is supposed to stay in the upper 70's and lower 80's for a few days so that will be nice...

Well just wanted to pop in and say "hi", I have been staying OP but not exercising, Amanda you need to whip my butt into shape

Hi, guys. Back home, after our week at the lake. A great time was had by all, but, of course, that means I feel it on my body. I will not get discouraged, though, and plan to get right back on track. Exhausted tonight, but need to get back here for some support from you guys. Talk to you all tomorrow.

Carri: Poor sweety working on the weekend! Hope your dh's band did well. I don't think you have ever told us he was in a band! What kind of music do they do? That's kind of exciting! My son used to be in a band several years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. He is still a huge concert goer when he has the time and he has a good friend that plays piano at a lounge at the Bellagio in Las Vegas! We hope to see him while we are there.

Marsha: Glad you had such a very good time! You come back and I take off!

This is the last topic day ladies until after Labor Day. I really have tons and tons to do including trying to get the house cleaned before we go, take care of both pets, finish packing and getting the house ready to be left alone so to speak. I have four lists I am working off of to make sure everything comes out ok. We have confirmed hotel, airline, prepaid the car, and confirmed prepaid parking for our car. There is a lot of stuff needing to be done Mon-Wed because we have to leave home no later than 3:30 AM on Thur morning! So, I will probably only get in here to set up once a day.

Hi all,

I got 2 points yesterday. I had a great workout at the gym today - I RAN for the first time! I've been feeling like I'd like to try to run on the treadmill for a while now - but I've been worried that I'll make a fool of myself or something, but today the gym was pretty quiet so I just gave it a go! I managed a gentle run for 4 minutes, then slowed to a walk and then ran again for 2 minutes - then the stitch got me! I know it's not much, but I feel so great! It's just breaking down those myths of what I can and can't do - and it's really boosted my confidence! I think I'll ache a bit tomorrow - I can really feel it in my sides and abs.

CARRI - Sorry you had to work on the weekend - I hope you are being paid lots of overtime!

FAYE - I'm sure you'll get everything sorted ready for your trip - how are we going to manage without you?

MARSHA - Glad you enjoyed your holiday - don't worry about those pounds, we'll get them off in no time!

Hi everyone!

Been on vacation since last Thursday...went Camping at Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor. I always forget how much I love the ocean....that's where I always hoped we'd live when we moved to Maine, but that's not where the jobs are. And we can't afford a 3 million dollar run down piece o' crap house anyway. Seriously, Maine is nothing but a millionaires' playground these days.

I took the kids swimming at a pool right before we left and thought about AManda...so I decided to swim some laps. OMG!!! I had no idea how much muscle I'd lost in my upper body since I quit fighting last Sept!!!! Holy Crap! It was a struggle just to do 10 laps...........

Needless to say, I'm finally motivated to start exercising again. I can't believe how hard that little bit of swimming was. I used to be a lifeguard and swam all the time. So, I was thinking about starting phase one of South Beach again....but the thought of all that meat just makes my tummy hurt. So, I'm going to go back to counting calories and still keeping away from the bread and pasta and sugar. It worked before. DH is doing awesome on SB, but it's really hard for me. I eat way more fat than I should because I'm over compensating for no grains or fruit....it messes me up big time. Exercise is the key for me, anyway. I eat well, but my metabolism is for crap right now.

I ate freely during the camping trip, smores and all (though I only had 1 a night...) I'm up a few pounds, but I'm ready to really really get these last 50 pounds off my body! I'm so glad I have you gals to lean on, because I'm not really sure if I can do it.

Carrie, you're doing great! Don't let one little breakdown spoil your momentum.

Morning to all. It is chilly as I sit here this AM - feels like fall in the air already. Thanks for the welcome back, gals. Just the boost I needed to get going again. Sounds like there are a few of us in the same spot - ready to get serious here.

Amanda - Applause for you!! I have always hated running, even back in the thin days, so I really admire people who can do it!

Julie - glad you enjoyed your vacation, too. I am still not caught up with the laundry and unpacking!

Faye - it's almost your time to go!! How will you even sleep these last few nights? ENjoy it all!

Have to get some things done here this am, then off to school. Need to get those Welcome back letters out to my class. Still can't get in our rooms to work, which is frustrating, but beyond my control, so I will try not to fret about it.
