Oh you know, I thought it would be nice to grace you guys w/ my presence. I don't know how to spell that. Oh well.
Oh! Troy and I went to his parents yesterday, and I hadn't seen his Mom in a while (like a month or so), and she thought I looked good! She could tell I lost some weight! So that made me feel really good! Yay!

Hey Nicki - It's always nice when someone can see the efforts you've made, even if you can't! You're doing great

BAM! I am down 10 pounds from start!! I'm sooo excited. And I've held it steady over the last 3 days (well, this morning it was a little bit under, but not enough to say I've lost 11 pounds). I weigh myself on my dad's triple beam scale, so it's super accurate. I actually can't wait to see the nutritionist next week.
I've been really overwhelmingly busy the last few days. The ol ball and chain has been working pretty much nonstop, so I've had almost sole baby duty (trust me, not complaining) and between Andrew and work, my life has been a million miles a minute. Not to mention, I've got the sinus infection from ****, the period that just will not end, etc. However, I did WALK to the pharmacy last night to pick up my scrip, I made it there and back in just over 40 minutes, and that is counting the 10 minutes I had to wait for the stupid thing (I BOOKED back, because I didn't want to miss So You Think You Can Dance). I just mapquested it, it says it's 1.22 miles, but since I cut through two apartment complexes and didn't walk along the main road, I'd say it's probably closer to just one. So that's between 3 & 4 miles per hour!! YES! That's pretty much the only exercise I've been getting though, after the Billy Blanks fiasco and the red tide, I've been kind of down for the count. My eating has been going really well though, aside from cheese sticks for lunch the other day.
Melanie - Thanks for that calculator link. No wonder I'm losing weight rapidly!! Most days I'm 800-1,000 below maintenance calorie level!!
Celeste - Congratulations! That is so awesome. I have friends going through nursing school, and they are all struggling.
Karen - Good luck in the contest. I'm sure you'll do great.
Debbie - I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Hang in there.

Celeste: WOW! on your exam! I Knew you would do great. Are you still peeing.....?
Nicki: I know a little bit about heart rate and stuff, but I bet you know that too. Like target heart rates...anyway, glad to hear from you! I was wondering they are going to weigh us on a fat % scale. Does anyone think that accurate? What are everyones thoughts on this? Also, I will weighing in the morning. I have my monthy vistor. And these last two days, I am eating alot of carbs so to help the fat cells to get big. Is this a bad way to do it? But, I want to be the fattest as I can be. I will be eating very clean the rest of the time. I only want to lose 2 lbs a week, if I lose more than I may lose some muscle too. Any thoughts of this anyone?
Mel: How did the weigh in go today. I know that you are doing great.
Debbie: Hope all is well with you and your loved ones at this time.
Sarah: Sounds like a lot of STRESS!!!!! in your life... You are doing so great on your weight loss.
Haley: MISS You!
Well gotta go for now...Little charlie is waking up!

Melanie: You did GREAT! Maybe, you are building some muscle? You have done so well since 7 weeks ago! It will be better next week. Also, the more muscle that one has the better the metabolism....So, it could be a good thingy....
I have really eaten bad the past two days, because of my weigh in in the morning...Now, I think that I should not have done that! Oh well! I was trying to get fat the last two days...I felt so bad about it. So, I will eat better from this point on!!!!

Karen I dunno how I feel about the body fat scales. I mean there is so much to consider. Like you can't be dehydrated... I can't think of other things, but I know a few people who have them, and they are really sensitive. I think the trainers are better off using calipers (I'm practicing w/ mine now! LOL), but I dunno. I'm sure it will be fine.
Well. I think I stayed the same this week. I didn't think I did that bad, but oh well.

Way to go Mel. I will be glad when I get as skinny as you and the others. Yall make me want to try that much harder when I see it can be done. I am doing better. Things are slowing down now. It was a sad day but a happy day. My best friend has been waiting for her grand daughter to have her baby and at the exact time we lowered Granny to ground Cory Daneyle came busting out. God took an angel and gave us one back. Ain't it wonderful. I found a wonderful deal on a second hand tread mill that has the weights for arms also. Be delivered saturday!!! I can't wait now I can at least walk when it is to hot to go out side. I just have a second cause the two year old just woke up but I wanted to pop in and say hey!!! How do I find the smiley faces. So glad I found you guys!!!

Hey guys! Where has everyone been?
Ok. So I woke up this morning... and I realized just HOW bad I DO NOT want to look like this come cruise time. I just don't want to. I want to lose weight and be so much more healthier. I even told Troy that I didn't want to go to Sonic tomorrow! Cuz we were gonna try it. But no, we won't go. I just have to do this. I don't want to be miserable on our cruise. I don't want to not have my picture taken of me, or video recorded of me just because of the way I look (we're brining a video camera this time too! yay!).
So yes. I can't do it alone, I need you girls. ALL of you. And you all have been SO supportive of me, I appreciate it SO much. Please, keep it up and remind me how bad I really do want this.
Thank you!

Let me tell you how bad you want it Nicki if you want it as bad as I do. You feel it in your gut you feel it in your soul you know you can do this.Every night I pray to God to forgive me for destroying this temple he created for me and to give me strength to to restore it to its natural embodiment he meant for it to be. We did not get this way in one day and it won't happen over night. Together we can do this. Use your soul to get what you want. I never want to look at my vacation pictures and see a fat cow sitting in a boat smiling as she floats down the river in a raft( that would be me if you haven't guess) Just hang in there gal. Know that we love you and together we all can do this.
I got the best deal today. I bought a pro form electric cross trainer treadmill today. It even has weight bench and weights all the bells and whistles( some I haven't figured out) Valued when bought 699.00 dollars has ten miles on it. Guess how much I paid. 75.00 dollars. Can you believe it. That is why I feel God is supporting me on this. I feel so good and things just keep falling into place for me to do it. One of my sons friends mom had it sitting in her bed room with clothes on and sold it to me just to get it out of room. Ain't it great. No more walking down the hot highway. Now if some of you professionals can help me I don't know how to figure how much fat I burned and how many calories. I don't know which is what. Oh well I know I am sweating lol.
I am so glad I found you guys. Such inspriration here.

Hey ladies!
Wow! I had a buzy weekend. I did not have a chance to check in, but I stay on course this weekend. I ate within my cals and portions.
Debbie: I know the smiles are fun to add! Sounds like you are going to have a home gym soon! What fun and some great deals. I can tell you what kind of lifestyle change I am doing. I am eating between 1300-1700 cals a day. With protein about 35-40%, carbs 30-35%, and fats 25-30%. I am trying to eat under 100 gms of carbs a day. I keep track on fitday.com. I lift weights 3x a week for 45mins and do cardio about 4-5 days a week, and at least one day of yoga a week. I eat every 2-3 hours a day. There are many good web sites to figure about how many cals to eat and how much to lose. Like Mel point out that web site before and also 3fat chicks has some tools to help. But, everyone is different and will like to do differents things to help lose weight. I do have my cake and eat it too! Lets be real! As long as I do not go over too much! Hope that helps!
Nicki: You have done so well. I know that you can do this! So, get your rear into gear. What do you think will help you the most to stay on track? Do you keep track of your food intake? Just work on changing one thing at a time. What do you want to change this week? You have been so helpful to me on this weight loss journey. Without you, this thread would have never been here. You have help so many people, now it is time to help yourself! Some days I have to eat, breath, and think 24/7 about what I want! You can do this take it one day at a time....
Celeste: I know it can be so upsetting! What do you think is happening?
My weigh in:
8-28-05 219.3
I think I lost a pound...Need to look back and see....
Hope that everyone is doing well!

Dear Ladies,
Kinda down right now - I ate horribly on Saturday at a family reunion, got carried away with a bunch of high calorie appetizers and desserts. I knew I probably ate 2 X the calorie amount I should have, so I ate nothing else that day - just drank a ton of water. Then yesterday, I was doing ok until I went to a BBQ and someone handed me a piece of ice cream cake & of course instead of turning it down, I ate it - all 450 calories worth! Overall, I have been doing really well at making good choices whether at home or eating out - I don't know what happened this weekend, it's like I didn't have self control.......maybe it's because I am depressed that I have been working so hard at this and not losing? Anyway, I had to vent - but I am going to get back on track today. I can't let the guilt of what I ate destroy my motivation this week.....that's what I would have done in the past, but not anymore!!! I have come too far to let it all go down hill from here!!
Celeste - I hear ya loud and clear! You are doing everything you know how to do to get the weight off and your body is just being stubborn - how frusterating. Maybe you can share with us in detail what a normal day of eating, drinking water, exercising looks like and we can see if there is something that might help you get out of this plateau? Just an idea to get a fresh perspective.
Karen - So proud of you for sticking to it this weekend - great job! Hooray on losing a pound too - keep at it!!
Nicki - C'mon girlfriend - you can do it. Let's get serious about this, k? Your cruise is getting closer and closer and I know that you can do this!
Debbie - How wonderful that you got such a great deal on your treadmill! I like your attitude about working hard to keep the temple (our bodies) that God created healthy.....it's so true. We have to take care of what He has given us.
Hugs
Mel
