100+to lose, wife/mother needs a buddy
I'm not quite sure how I found this website, but it is exactly what I am looking for.
I've tried ediets-was a member for about 3 years. I didn't lose any substantial weight-I would lose focus after a few weeks. I can plan my own meals. I miss the support. A buddy or a few to chat with-support. I am 35. I've been married for 7 years. I have a darling son, he's 6. I'm a teacher and this summer I am not WORKING! I joined CURVES in January. When I was going on a regular basis I felt great. Now that school is out, I have no excuses. That's a little about me. Anyone looking for a buddy? Debs |

My most recent attempt at weight loss has been thru WW, but I honestly hate to count points. I know lame excuse, but I didn't like it. About 5 years ago I did the Body for Life program and lost 130 lbs and I've put on about 50 lbs since then and I want to lose it again. I'm 34 with 2 sons, 13 and 11. I'm in management and I hate it, but I'm about to land a different job soon. (keeping fingers crossed). I'm not sure how the buddy thing works, but I'm here for you! Kathy |

I've always struggled with weight. I wouldn't say I was a chubby pre-teen. I wasn't skinny-but not fat. In high school (especially toward the end) I was a overweight. Looking back-I'd consider myself thin now! :D . I lost about 60+ lbs. in college. I kept it off-but it piled back on. I lost it again....but then I met my husband and single people eat out a lot! Since then I gained about 100 lbs. I absolutely hate it. I now have terrible knee pain. Last time I went to the doctor it was early stages of arthritis-only the left knee hurt. Now both knees hurt. It is affecting my quality of life. I recently got weighed and measured at CURVES. OH MY! My weight was at the highest it ever was!!!!! It has motiviated me. I'm on vacation until the end of July-no excuses. I should get myself into a healthy eating and an exercise plan. Drink water! What do you plan on doing today-healthy wise? Here it is 10 am and I still didn't eat breakfast! Not good! Breakfast-2 eggs w/ham; yogurt Lunch-salad w/peaches snack-yogurt dinner-salmon, rice, salad and applesauce EXERCISE-CURVES go when husband gets home-dinner will be ready. DRINK WATER. Sorry about the knee pain, I know how you're feeling. I've had back pain for a long time myself. The more I weigh, the worse the pain - so I need to get busy so I don't have to hurt all the time. Good for you for going to Curves! I have a Golds Gym membership, but I haven't been there in months. I'm alomst embarassed to go there again becasue it's been so long. I live really close to a high school and they have a great track there that I've been walking on. Yesterday I did 2 miles, walk the curves and jog the straight. I plan on going there again tonight, if I'm not too sore :D meals for today are: Special K for breakfast apple - snack small piece of lasagna for lunch and big salad pork chop and potato salad ( low fat ) cottage cheese and yogurt - snack and drink water water water!!!! Kathy-that's great about the track. I've had memberships to gyms and never really used them. My husband was a bit spectacle of CURVES, but once I told him about it he was fine with it. I didn't go for a few months-big mistake! I gained-plus I lost money! Seems kinda a waste of $$ to pay and not go!
I changed my breakfast/lunch I ate so late I decided to make a chicken quesida?(sp wrong). It was really good. I will still have salmon for dinner. Have a great day! |

I didn't make it to Curves last night because we went to a park. It has a water area and my son had a blast! Tonight we are going to SeaWorld so I know I'll be getting exercise. (I live in burb outside of Orlando-so SeaWorld is about 35 min. away-I get in free for being a teacher and the FL resident passes make it affordable-Disney is WAY to expensive.) Everlasting-Curves an all women 30 min. circuit workout. You are on a machine (leg press, chest press) for 30 sec. then go to a recovery station-like a small stepper but big and you don't step off and on-just walk in place. The circuit is set up so you have upper body, recovery, lower body, recovery. upper body recovery. My location only has the basic 8 machines so you go around 3 times. The machines are hydrolic (sp?) so the harder you work the harder it is. I'm usually huffing and puffing-I don't see a lot of the other gals huffin and puffin as much as me--but that's ok. I'm so sweaty! I am a STRESS EATER! We are going to be moving in July. I don't know where yet. I do know it will all work out. I want to be all moved by the last week of July-I go back to work then. We will need to stay in the county we are currently in due to my son going to my school next year. We won't start looking until July 1. I hate moving! I've moved so much in my childhood and in my adult life! Oh well. I say I will clean out some of my stuff as I am packing! LOL. Breakfast peach yogurt eggs w/ham Lunch?-=I'm not sure yet......salad for sure! Dinner-I am going to make a meal to take with us. I'm picking dh up from work. We'll probably eat in the car or at his work. More than likely sandwiches. Snacks-peanuts (I'll pack some for SeaWorld). I have to do some house work. oooohhhh A date! I haven't had one of those since I got married :lol: I will make my dates for Saturday and Sunday. Because of work I'll be doing cardio near my house all this week, but I'll do some weight training this weekend. I did go do my 2 miles at the gym and ate good, except for a peanut butter cookie.... ok 2, but they were small! :D Debs, it sounds like you're having a lot of fun this week. Good for you!! Our teachers need a break (especially my kids' teachers :). What grade do you teach and are you going to move far enough away that you'll have to transfer schools? I don't envy you at all, I hate moving! Breakfast - Special K w/ skim milk Lunch - Pork chop and salad Snack - apple Dinner - Bubble up pizza (it's a WW recipe made with ground turkey, pasta sauce and biscuits- very odd, but very very good!) Snack- yogurt I'll probably have to skip the walk/jog today because I'm a bit sore, but I'll do 30 laps around the bleachers - up one side, accross the top, down the other side, accross the bottom. Sorry it has taken me all day to post! It was a busy day! Pat-Are you still sore? Hey 2 cookies isn't bad! Don't forget about your dates this weekend! They will get jealous if you don't come! I was teaching 5, next year I'll be teaching 3rd. Principal just asked me today (I had to go to work to drop some stuff off)-if I wanted the retention students or SLD. The SLD teacher is really pushing to have me. The principal said she talked about how our education was in the same university system. I had to chuckle......she must really want to work with me! LOL....actually I have clinical training to take an intern, she is getting one next year and it is really best that we all have it...plus I have ESOL now....I know confusing....confusing for me also. I will not change schools. Hopefully we can find a place in the same town. We have stay in the county due to busing of my son. He will be attending my school next year and if he ever had to take the bus he can if we live anywhere in the county. We had a great time at Sea World. Well....we sweat our butts off! I wore jeans because I had to toss my sandles and I didn't want to wear sneakers with capri pants..............I should have worn the sneakers even if they looked silly....I was HOT!!!!!!!! We let Nathan play for about an hour in the water part. Went to the pool with Nathan today. Had a good time. I tried to do some moves from when I took water aerobics. Sorry don't mean to be nosy! But at the top of the screen here there is a place where you can private message people in case you all want to exchange e-mail address and stuff like that. OH by the way welcome aboard. I have'nt been here long either. I had a buddy and we e-mailed each other every night and let each other know how are day was and what we ate for the day. It was pretty cool. BUt I lost her, I hope she didn't fall off the wagon. So now I'm so-lowing it for a bit. There is another place that is good to. dotties weight loss zone. I go there too. It's my turn-You need a buddy? How about posting here! I just posted on Monday. I so need others who are trying to lose weight. I don't really have any friends (except coworker and I'm not working right now-summer vacation) who are trying to lose weight.
Donna-Welcome aboard! Again you can post here or email. Wow 3 kids. My husband wanted 3, but I think we'll settle for 2. Although I don't know when the second is coming. I'm 35 now and we might wait another year or so. I can't change what should of happened.......our son is 6....there will be a big age difference. But if it is God's will...He will make it happen. I should have a good day today. I slept in. I have got to stop staying up late and sleeping in. I'm going to have a hard time come August! I have to go to Super Wally's later. My son wants to go to the pool again. I have my DATE with Exercise and I want to make dinner later. I have got to start packing! It will be a good time to sort through some of our STUFF! I have to get my son's clothes in order. Last year we went to a private school and they had uniforms. Now he's going to transfer to my school and no uniforms. I have to weed through the play clothes from the school clothes and then jot down what he will need. Living in Florida he'll wear shorts most of the year. It did get chilly here in Dec/Jan/Feb. You gave good advice
I joined yesterday and so far I love it I never thought of making excursive as a date I think it is a very good idea so I will not think as it as a burden. I joined weight watchers about 3 months ago lost 12 pounds but I think I could have done better have a friend in the gym she has lost a lot and it is killing me my husband say I look grate but I don’t think so. I will be 28 in august and will love to loss at lest half my size.
p.s. I made the hot ham and cheese sandwich from the food menu for my husband and myself for lunch today it was fantastic and only 5 points for those of you that are on weight watchers. yolanda2tt |
In Search Of A Buddy~

I have posted before but it has been a while. Again I am in search of a buddy I'm not picky I'm just looking for someone who can understand my struggle's and my hopes and dreams and someone who will let me be there also for them. Ill tell you a little about myself.... My name is Viana I go by Vi for short, I am 27 years and am and have always been overweight since puberity. I was in a long term relationship untill I found out my boyfriend was cheating on me and looking for other ladies to spend time with. After I found out and talked to him about it he moved out and said he did not love me and needed his space. :( Fastforward 3 months and here I am. I am still struggling on getting over him he was the man I wanted to marry little did I know he was a complete fake. I joined a gym right after he left and 2 months latter I desided I was going to change mylife and start going to the gym and eating healthy. My goal is to take off 155lbs after 4 weeks of hard work im only down 11lbs :mad: I am not seeing the results like I have hoped and am becoming very discouraged :stress: I have turned to the one person I figured would always be there for me (my sister) and she flat out told me I will alway be fat so live with it. So it brings me to here and now I am is desprate need of a buddy, a friend someone that can kick my butt into gear and make me see what I need to see. I despertly do not want to give up however I am feeling I cant go on like what is it worth.. I work 10 hrs a day then go to the gym for 1 hour and 45 min and only have droped 11lbs. and am seeing no results :censored: Thank you for the time Viana |

I really need a buddy or 2 or 5 to motivate me! I will be the first one to admit that I am lazy, well I wouldn't say lazy, but the more I gain the more I hurt and the less I feel like exercising! Between my husband and myself we have a total of 6 kids. 5 are boys! They are all involved in sports. The oldest moved away to college (Long Beach) but the 4 younger ones and my daughter are all very active. My daughter's car broke down so I drive her to and from work, I am so glad that summer is here my schedule is a little less hectic w/the kids out of school! But the boys all play sports so I am constantly on the go because my husband commutes so he can't help out! I work but I work a lot from home so that I am available for our kids. I am lucky to have a job that I can do this. But it has also made it hard for me to meet people we have only lived here for 2 years but I have not made 1 good friend. My life is so involved with the kids I don't get to many chances to do adult things. We have all of our kids week on week off. So one week we have all of them and the next week they are at their other parents, except for my daughter, she does not go to her dads with her brothers. Anyway I joined Curves about a year ago, but I do not go anymore. Don't ge me wrong, I loved it. The problem was they were never open when I have free time. I have gained so much weight over the past couple of years that I do not even recognize myself in pictures anymore! I am so embarassed it has dropped my self confidence to below zero. Since I am self employeed ( I am a Loan Officer) I have to get out there to meet people, but I am so embarassed I don't even try! As of today I weigh 214 I have never weighed this much in my entire life! The heaviest I have ever been is 179 and that was when I was in labor with my daughter who is my first born and is now 18. I have tried slim fast, ww, ......... I only last a little while on them and then something happens and BOOM I stop doing it. So anyway I really want to lose the weight. My husband and I would like to go to Hawaii for our 6 year anniversary in February if I can get the money saved but I can not go like this! My goal is to get down to 125 - 135 again. Even my sex drive is suffering from this. I need daily motivation and I am hoping that this forum will help. I would love to find some buddies that are even close to me so that we may possibly get together which would really help me!I am even open to exchanging phone numbers and e-mails so that we can stay in contact! Annenette-HUGS to you. We are here for you! I know what you mean about Curves. I wish my location was open EARLY in the am-but it’s not. Instead of Curves what about a water aerobics class-local gyms, or the Y might have them. I went to some in NY and I really liked it. Do you have time in your day to do a tape at home? Walk Away the Pounds is great. Ahh…you’re a loan officer…….we were trying to get a mortgage for the house we are renting…but the payment would have been much higher than our rent and I don’t think we can swing that right now.
VI-WELCOME! :wave And to your sister-a kick in the butt! Hey 11 lbs. is AWESOME!!! You are probably losing inches! Have you changed your eating habits? Are you drinking water? I’ve read in a MAYO clinic article that you should drink ½ your weight in ounces---for example I’m at 280—ahh---I should be drinking 140 ounces of water a day. I’m not up to that---but I do try to drink at least 64ounces. Do you have a trainer at the gym? What do you do for an 1hr and 45 min.? (I didn’t always like going to a gym-ex Bally and ex Women’s Gym member). I had a doctor who once told me that ½ pound a week was good. Remember…you don’t want to come off too fast. We’ll be your buddy! Yolanda-Make your date? It’s nice to meet ya! :D I’ve always put exercise off. Like it was a chore (I still think that at times). I know from my past weight loss experiences that I was successful when I exercised and ate right. I have a lot of exercise tapes/dvds and I recently joined Curves. I really don’t have any excuses to not exercise—except my laziness! I might have to cancel my date on Saturday. My husband is trying to reschedule our church directory photo so we can go to the beach (west coast). Although I can swim. My son will spend HOURS in the gulf! LOL. WHERE did you get a food menu from? I haven’t discovered everything on this site yet. I told dh it was like ediets-except you don’t get meal plans and it’s free! Oh yeah…I was a member of ediets from 2000-2004(half the time I didn’t even use the site when I was on a downward slope). Kathy-That’s great on the 130. SO it really can be done? That gives me hope! Did your husband go with you? That’s great that he is going. My husband does support my efforts. He has done Walk Away the Pounds with me and I think Richard Simmons. He’d kill me if he knew I confessed that! LOL. He doesn’t really need to lose weight-just tone up. He has gained weight since we meet-but he was a skinny thing. Instead I’ve gained 100! ARGGG. :p :lol: :) I didn’t mean to confuse you with the terms-I get confused too! It is nice having the summers off. I worked summer school last year. I’ve moved from FL to NY during one summer and then from NY to FL during another one. Oh…had my son during one also! I usually do training or inservices. I only have one week this year. I will be moving…packing mostly. I really wanted to be settled by the beginning of school-but I’m not sure. I hate moving, yet I do it a lot……one day we’ll get our own house! I will be doing lessons and planning-which I won’t get paid for. No work in the summer-no pay! I think many people think we get paid in the summer…not the case. I only get a paycheck because I had my salary extend for 12 months instead of 10. Last year I didn’t do that……hence why I worked summer school. |

Sunday-Pilates tape and ab tape....have a nice healthy dinner. Think only good thoughts...and get my dates scheduled for next week and my meals....be prepared! |

Debsturn~ Thank you for your response :) I have changed my eating habits extreamily and have not fallen off the wagon as of yet, I am eating 3 meals aday with 2 healthy snacks usual fruit or vegies. I am totaly pushing water I was always drinking soda but I have stopped that and am drinking around 160oz of water a day no caffeen(sp) no sugar no fried foods nothing like that Ive been keeping track of my food in my diet/food notebook of cal's and fat Im also taking trimspa and apple cider vinegar (just started). At the gym I do have a trainer and she seems happy with what im doing, I do 1 hour of cardo that consists of 30min on treadmill, 30 min on bike and 30 on Eplical(sp) the stairclimber/glider thingy..lol Then I do around 40 to 45 min on the weight michines (so dont know the names) then I do around 15min of floor excersises like crunches and bottom lifts. Ive been working so darn hard but i feel like its worth nothing. And as for my sister I think she is jealous that I am finally starting to do something about my weight and she is not at the point yet.
When I started this new way of life I weighed in at 285.5lbs my heavyest ever as of this morning at 7:00am I weighed (naked) 269.00 I know that is down 16.5lbs but I phically dont see a change when will this happen??? when will others (besides my family who know im on a diet) start to say somthing.... :?: Well Im trying to hang on for dear life here and Im trying so hard not to give up... Deb: Thanks for the words of encouragement! I think you have one of the greatest jobs in the world! Teachers are WAY underpaid as far as I am concerned! As for my exercise program (or lack of one I should say :o ) I have problems with my neck and bone spurs in my back so I have to be very careful what I do. I live in a very small hick town (we just got Starbucks about a year ago!) I am thinking of seeing if one of the local gyms here has a pool so that I can do water arobics! I will keep you all posted!
Vi: WOW you have my respect! You are really trying and you probably don't see the changes but remember you are building muscle at the same time. So I bet pretty soon you are going to start feeling little muscles! Keep up the great work. I only wish I had that type of willpower. I am lazy :D I tend to come up with every excuse in the book not to do something! I have a hard time sticking to a diet. I also have SEVERE migraines and I take 3 different prevention medications every night, I think that has a lot to do with my weight gaing (besides that middle age thing). Well this weekend I have a very busy schedule I have 2 double headers Saturday with our boys so I will be at the baseball field probably from 9:30 am until around 8:00 pm. The one good thing is that there is no snackbar at this field! My neice and nephew are also flying in from South Dakota for the summer (my brother is in the military and he is divorced so the kids come here first then he comes and gets them) and of course Sunday is Fathers Day. My kids are going to their dads for the day (except for my daughter she chose not to go with her brothers to her dads house she wants to go with us instead, she is 18 so her dad can't really say anything, besides he didn't even invite her in his plans anyway) so the rest of my clan (my 3 stepsons, hubby, daughter and me) will be heading to San Francisco for the day. I think that we are going to the zoo. I haven't been to that zoon in years and the walking will be great for me (I think I will wear my pedometor so I can see how much I walked). I plan on going grocery shopping this weekend, I have been reading up on all the different diets and I kind of like the southbeach one. But I think that I am going to just kind of make up my own. A little from each one. Part of my problem is I usually don't eat breakfast and sometimes I skip lunch too, so this is what is storing my fat! Well when I go shopping this weekend I plan on getting quick healthy things that I can eat. Plus I am drinking green tea at least 3 times a day right now since I read an article that this helps lose the weight! We shall see! I plan on going full steam come Monday! I am changing companies next week and I hoping that this will also help me get motivated! Plus all of your support I should be ready to take on the world! I hope all of you have an awesome weekend! Sounds like we have a great bunch of people to use for support here. Thank goodness! :grouphug: My day has been kinda sucky. Woke up late, tried to iron my shirt but the iron leaked rusty water on it :tantrum:, didn't eat breakfast because we're out of milk and I won't eat anything but cereal (childish I know... whatever! LOL), wore a short sleeved shirt to work and it's cold and rainy,work geeks were invaded my office, and I did sales calls with a big jerk. BUT, now I've eaten my lunch, work geeks are gone, hubby brought me a sweatshirt, this is my last day of work here (I think), and it's Friday! :sunny: Tomorrow is my free day and I think I'm going to eat a chocolate muffin and mounds of pasta. :hungry: I did my 2 miles of walk/jogging last night and even though it's a little chilly I'm going to do it again today. Annette-thanks for the comment about teachers. One of my students made a statement last year that he couldn’t believe I make less money than a garbage man. I said yes, I do. It is hard work. I sometimes wonder if I could get another job with less responsibility. The NCLB law and FCAT-I find myself wondering when does the fun come back into teaching! WOW on all the kids at your house. Family seems like it is very important to you.---changing companies? Work companies? Good luck with finding the water aerobics class. I’ve also looked for aquatic centers in the towns near me. VI-wow 16 lbs. in 4 weeks is great-that’s 4 pounds a week. Are they taking your measurements at the gym? I bet you are losing inches! Have you been to your dr.? I’m not in the medical field at all so I’m just asking…have you had your thyroid checked? I have hypothyroidism (sp) and it makes losing weight so hard! It runs in my family-I developed after my son was born. Sweetie you are doing great---and hey I’ll take the 269! As for your sister-yes, she could be jealous of you-don’t let that interfere with your goals. You are doing this for YOU-not your ex, not your family-but for YOU! Also, changing your habits and taking it off slowly is the best thing. It’s hard when you hear someone say-I lost 20 lbs. in 4 weeks---but is what they were eating realistic? You keep at it—you are doing great!!! Well we didn’t go to the beach. Instead we are going to go to the pool. My husband hasn’t been there yet. :dizzy: PHEW! What a weekend! I am so tired after all the running around I did that it's bedtime at 9pm for this girl.
Mojjo, we're all here for you as a group. No need for just one buddy here :grouphug: Welcome. :) Friday evening I went and did my 2 miles at the track like normal. Then I was back at it Saturday morning. Except instead of jogging the last 100 yards I did walking lunges. Holy crap that hurt... and still does!!! I took hubby to lunch for Fathers day then did some cleaning. Around 4 in the afternoon my hubby, myself and our neighbor went dirt bike riding for about 3 hours, and that my friends is a tough workout! But incredibly fun!:bike: Today we decided to take it easy and go for a little hike. Yeah right. We went to the nearby mountains and hiked about 1 1/2 miles up a hill, then 1 1/2 miles back down. My legs were screaming the whole time because of yesterday's abuse. I just got done playing with my dogs for 45 minutes outside. Now I am resting my butt doing nothing and it feels good :D My one small victory this weekend. We were going to Coldstone Creamery to get some ice cream and I decided not to get any. Yeah for me! How did everyone else do this weekend? Do anything fun? Have any small/big victories. Debs, did you keep your dates? Oh, and about my job. I am going to go to training starting in August to be an insurance agent and I want to take some time off before I start, but because of finances *dang it* I'll need to stay at my current job a couple of more weeks then I'll take most of July off to do nothing. Kathy-whew girl my legs hurt just listening to your adventures. That's awesome that you are getting so much exercise and including hubby! Quick post-I didn't do formal exercise on Sat. or Sun.-but I did swim at the pool.l I tried to do some "moves". I'm going to Curves tonight! I'm going to spend time this week packing....plus I have to go into work on Tuesday and Wednesday (only for 3 hours each day-but yuck...work :dizzy: ) Cleaning today and some shopping.... talk to you guys later! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!! |

Good Monday to all in the group!
I want to thank everyone who have given me support, just when I was about to give up you all came threw and saved my life thank you from the bottom of my heart. :D Well my weekend was pretty good, I like everyday went to the gym and worked my butt off.lol Its kinda strange I weight myself one moment im down 16 then the next im up 10 I just dont get the scale thing its driving me nuts :stress: Anyway I finally got up the nerve to measure me again and from May 31st to Yesterday June 19th My "gut" went from a 55" to 49" not sure if that is good or not but Hopefully alot more will come off. I have started taking Apple Cyder pills and Maybe they are working not sure, In highschool I was told I had a theryoid problem however I dont any more (thats what the dr said) On the topic of my sister she is still being a pain in my backside, she still has not said one positive thing about what im doing It really breaks myheart. Today has made this new way of life 5 weeks this is the longest I have been on a diet so maybe I can do it.... Hope you all have a great day!!! Thanks again Viana |

Can I get in on the buddy thing too???? I'm 42, a teacher (thank God for summers!!!), a mother of an 11th month old daughter (HUGE surprise, but GREATER blessing), a 16yr old son, and I'm sick and tired of being sick, tired and FAT. I only gained 10 pounds with my pregnacy and after my daughter was born I lost 50 pounds(it wasn't me I think, it was the diabetic diet I had to follow my 3rd trimester). Anyway, after I stopped nursing my weight has begun creeping back (I'm up 30 pounds). I can't go back. I have over 100 pounds I need to lose to be healthy and normal again. I need a buddy to do this. Can I join the crew?

What a weekend!
Okay, sounds like everyone had an eventful weekend here! I as usual was running in 20 different directions at one time :dizzy: Saturday was baseball, baseball and more baseball! I don't remember eating breakfast (Oh wait yes I did it was Jack in the box sourdough something or other) lunch? What in the world did I have for lunch :?: I can't remember but for dinner we bbq'd ribs. I only ate a 2 small ribs, a corn on the cob and a small amount of mac and cheese.
Now Sunday we went to Lyons for breakfast and I had a country skillet :( couldn't help myself, by the time we ate breakfast it was lunch time! Well after breakfast we went to 6 Flags Marine World so I did ALOT of walking :D so I did get some exercise in there! My legs are so sore. The only thing I ate there was some garlic fries. Okay, I also ate a funnel cake :o that is my weakness. By I rationalized it with all of the walking I did! So for dinner we were to wiped out to cook so we ordered pizza. I only had 2 small slices! So this morning I am going to have some yogurt for breakfast and hopefully something a little healthy for lunch! I haven't even begun to think about lunch or dinner yet, I need to go grocery shopping today so I plan on stocking up on good eats for me! I am switching mortgage companies after today and I am totally excited about the new company I am going to work for! I am hoping that the changes that we are making right now will help move us into the right direction to get things back on track for us. Things have been tight and I think the stress has added to the weight gain. So keep your fingers crossed I am hoping to start reporting awesome news in the next few months! I woke up this morning feeling refreshed and ready to go! It is kind of funny because I thought for sure I would not be able to move my legs from all the walking yesterday! The whole time we were walkikng around the park and I was sweating and huffing and puffing :o I was so irritated with myself for letting myself get into this type of shape. It is like a little buzzer is going off in me right now, telling me I need to get my butt in gear! So many health problems lately I know that they are related to this weight gain and I know that I only can change it. It is just trying to keep myself motivated is the problem! I hope everyone is off to a great start this week! I know that I am ready to conquer the world this week! Vi - 6 is more than 0! Keep up the great work! I hope to report those type of number soon! Don't worry about that sister of yours, you just keep doing what you are doing! You seem to have determination right now and that is awesome! Debs - how did the packing go? :coffee: mmmm I love drinking my coffee in my office before anyone comes in and the phone starts ringing. :coffee: I was officially offered the job to be an insurance agent yesterday!!! :cb: I'm so excited to start. I'll have a much nicer office, a much better job and much better pay. Sounds much better! :lol: Annette, soutnds like both you and I needed a change of sceenery. Good luck to you on the new job, I hope you're much happier there. We went out to dinner to celebrate and I had shrimp cocktail and a chicken salad with about 1 Tbsp of dressing, so I was a good girl. I didn't exercise but I'll either go to the track tonight, if it isn't 100 degrees again, or I'll use my bike downstairs. I'm kinda discouraged today with my weight loss because I've been working my butt off and eating really good, but I gained 4 lbs last week. :( I know it's not all fat, but it's hard to look at the scale and see that when I've been so dedicated. It maked me feel like such a fat sausage in my clothes. However, I'm keeping focused and trying to keep my spirits up so I don't just say screw it and quit. If I did that then I'd gain a heck of a lot more than 4 lbs and that would be bad. Have a great day guys and tell us how you're doing! Kathy |
Yahoo first day of summer
:) Good Morning All!
Today is the first day of summer and I woke up in a really good mood :lol: maybe it was the fact that I got my final paycheck yesterday and I have a ton of money in the bank - yeah like that will last long the bad thing about working on commission is that you have to play catch up so you never get to really enjoy the money. Well I shouldn't say that, I wasn't too far behind this time so I actually have some extra money - I think I will go to Reno this weekend with the hubby since we will have no kids! Well I never got around to the yogurt yesterday for breakfast, for lunch I had 5 toquitos and 15 mini pretzels! Now for dinner, my hubby took me out to dinner to celebrate my last day at the bad job and to celebrate that I am signing my contract on my new job this week! Okay, okay now to confess on what I had :o a side salad with ranch dressing, I tried to use as little as possible, but then I had 2 chicken enchiladas (well actually 1 3/4) and some spanish rice and water. So that wasn't that bad, but then last night I got a craving for something sweet and had to eat about a cup of Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia! I am planning on making up for that today with extra exercise! I am going shopping with my daughter and my neice so I figure I will park farther in the parking lot and walk the mall a few times, plus I need to go to Costco and go grocery shopping. So I will make it up for sure! Kathy that is awesome about the new job! Do you have to be licensed there? I know here in California you have to be! I have to get my realtors license with this new company to do my loans, but that is okay. I have already have taken the required courses I just have to go take the state exam! I have heard that insurance agents make pretty good money, so hopefully you start raking in the cash! What type of insurance will you be handling? Well girls I need to get into the shower, I have a very busy day today! I have decided to sub at our school district this year, just for a little extra cash I will be doing yard duty, cafeteria and so on. I thought all our kids would stress out over that, but they actually think its cool that I may end up at one of their schools! So I have to go this morning and pick up my packet and get my fingerprints scanned. Then I have to go drop off all these bills I wrote out this morning and a ton of other errands and then 2 of our boys are playing against each other tonight at the baseball field..... :dizzy: I am dizzy already! Good morning to all and happy first day of summer!!!! I hope this summer is filled with much sun and smiles :)
With that said I hope you all had a good evening, mine was pretty good I went to the gym right after work as usual and worked my butt off... I am in lust with one of the trainers there however im pretty sure he doesnt know im even there (the story of my life) :rolleyes: Anyway I got one of those huge ball things the night before last at Walmart so I can do crunches at home (SO NOT AS EASY AS IT LOOKS) I swear I almost died!!!!! Lastnight I made turkey burgers on the bbq They were actually very good, **** I think this may just be working for me..lol CONGRATS PhycoPhat on the new job :woo: I totaly understand about the weight gain I am starting to believe that the scale is the devil :devil: It is a horrible thing and all need to be disposed of..lol Its hard everytime I go into the bathroom I feel the need to weigh myself my weight goes one way then the other Im really trying not to depend on that so much because if it doesnt say what I want it to I go off the deep end :( Well in all i think im doing okay today im pretty motivated today and am looking foward to being a smaller me!!! |

I have to go to training for my old job for the next few days. YUCK! But I need the paycheck so I'll suffer thru it. At least the motel I'm staying at has a gym, but they also have crappy food so I'll be hitting a grocery store when I get there. Vi, nothing wrong with lusting after the hotty at the gym, maybe it'll give you a little more motivation! :wl: Be careful of those stability balls, they're dangerous. I was laying on mine and put my arms around the ball, rolled forward, and couldn't move because my arms were stuck underneath the ball, and did a face plant on the floor. :lol: Ok, so maybe they aren't dangerous, I'm just a huge klutz! Annette, I do have to get my license to sell insurance. I just got done passing the test, now all that's left is sending in my application. I'll be selling the usual types, life, home, auto and securities later on when I get that license. I'm hoping to make good money! :dancer: Have fun in Reno this weekend and don't blow all your extra money in the bank. I know it can be done because I was a blackjack dealer for 8 years. Good Morning all~ Hope today finds you all well, Everything is going well for me so far this morning its Seattle so as you all figured its rainning on the second day of summer!?!!???! Last night I did the usual went to the gym and came home and cooked dinner. At the gym lastning A woman came over to me and said that she has seen me in there working my butt off and wanted to tell me that she can see how much its paying off, and that to see me so motivated and deturminded I inspire her it was soooooo nice that a complete stranger took time out to say such nice things and my own sister wont even admit that im trying to better myself :(
Kathy: I know what you mean with those balls, I used mine again lastnight and as i went to sit on it, it rolled away and I fell on my butt but yea i am also a klutz!!!lol |
Well ladies, I did it. I quit my job yesterday right in the middle of sales training. :D So now I'm official on a 1 month vacation. :cb: :dance: :woo: :balloons: :sunny: :cheer: :bike:
I'm a little excited about it! ;) Vi, don't be sad about your sister, be happy someone told you you're doing great. You should be proud of yourself! Not only have you changed YOUR body, but you changed someone else to be in better shape. You go girl! :cheer: Now for the bad news: I pulled my back yesterday when I was lifting a laundry basket and I can barely move. I was planning on working out 2 times a day for the next month and now I have to wait a few days until I can start. Very very frustrating. Yestedrday was a pretty good day I had a hard work out burned 625Cal's :D Im getting happy about all of this now that Im starting to see a small change in my tummy area. and in my sholders :dance: Phyco~ Congrats on leaving your job, (seems odd to say that ) Dont stress about your back just get better and then go full speed on the workout. No use working out if your just hurting yourself. when you get better I know you can do it :D Well the weekend is fast coming and so far I have no plans (just the gym) I am hopping to spend the say with my sister shopping however she doesnt seem to want to so ill leave it up to her... You all have a great day :) |
