I hope all had a wonderful evening. I spent mine at the gym in my :ebike: class. What a workout. Then the rest of the night I watched Bones and House. TWIDDLE did you see it last night? So, since I couldn't sleep I wrote a little holiday story for you Chickies--stay tuned and check back frequently to see if I posted it yet! I will as soon as ICAN (<------TWIDDLE, that's for you! Good morning. It's only Wednesday...*sigh* This week and next week are going to be the longest weeks of my life! I can't wait to have some time off of work, but it seems like it's taking forever to get here. Maybe tomorrow we'll get out a little early if the weather is supposed to be bad...snow, ice, sleet, etc. That's not a good combo!

Um, SPILLIE, I have a life. That's where I went. :p And I didn't get to watch Bones last night. Was out until around 8:45 Christmas shopping...didn't even go home after work. But I'm almost done, so that's good. ROCKER - No crying!! And now you have me in total suspense for your story. I love your stories. Hi VIVA. BTW, I'm going to be in a foul mood the rest of the week. I have to be in at 4 AM (give or take) tomorrow and Friday. And if the weather is bad tomorrow morning, I'll be even pizzier. Just a fair warning to you all! Alright, that's it for me for now. The Night Before Christmas—told CHICKIE Style (kinda long so pull up a chair!) http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_15_18.gif ‘Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house Not a creature was stirring, Not even a mouse! Asleep in their beds are the CHICKIES Four All hoping & praying Santa comes just once more Cookies & milk were carefully placed All for the Jolly One, “just in case.” Softly sleeping are all Four No sound can be heard, not even a snore When all the sudden arose a loud clatter The Four sprang from their beds to see what was the matter. Hearts pounding, excitement building—oh what a sight Outside stood Santa, on this cold winter’s night A beautiful sleigh, all shiny and red All eight reindeer, pulling the sled Now, Dasher! Now Dancer! Now, Prancer and Vixen! On Comet! On Cupid! On Donder and Blitzen! Up on the rooftop Santa did go His sleigh & reindeer all in tow He loaded his sack with presents galore All for the good ones: the CHICKIES Four Out of their room, the Chickies went One by one, their time well spent First was VIVA, then SPILLIE, then TWIDDLE ROCKER followed closely, trying to get in the middle Down the steps they did creep Looking for Santa, not making a peep There he was filling the stockings with care He turned and saw them—he gave a stern glare The CHICKIES ran as fast as they could Back to their room, as well they should They’d been spotted, what could it mean? Would Santa leave nothing because he’d been seen? Back to bed, covers pulled up tight SPILLIE worried if things would be right TWIDDLE, VIVA and ROCKER too Wondered the same thing, saying: what do we do? Time moved on, each CHICKIE asleep All dreaming of presents they hoped to keep Morning came, down the steps they ran All four CHICKIES, including ICAN! VIVA got what she wanted—kitchen supplies a plenty Cookbooks—gadgets—appliances, there’s so many! She loves to cook, can’t you see? Hey VIVA, can I have that recipe please? SPILLIE’S presents were awesome too She got lots of cool things, including new shoes Unlimited visits at the spa to relax She definitely deserves it, that’s a sure fact. TWIDDLE got Penn State gear, including wine glasses She’ll fit right in with all the drinking masses An all expenses paid trip to the ORANGE BOWL she did get To cheer on her favorite team, now she’s all set. ROCKER was last, tears ran down her face The only thing she wanted was not in place She knew it was impossible but held out hope Santa could make it happen….guess not, no joke. A group hug followed next as the tears they did flow The CHICKIES consoled ROCKER, true friendship they showed A knock at the door—why who could that be? It’s Jon Bon Jovi who said: ROCKER come with me! I agree with the rest, your stories are the best. Chickie your talented and should really think about doing short stories for some kind of paper or magazine. I loved it. Thanks for the uplift. :)

Well, we have off on December 26th and January 2nd for Christmas and New Years respectively...but I still had a week of vacation left so I took off December 27-30th and then I'll carry 1 vacation day and 2 PTO days over for next year! December 23rd my Mom, Sister and Nephew are coming here to my work (and my Dad's) for breakfast and so Michael can see Santa and tell him what he wants for Christmas (although we all know it's the turntable for his Thomas train!!)...so we only have a half day that day. Then I don't come back here til January 3!!
