Kathy - Love your new puppy avatar - so cute...
Wow you sound so creative - makes the rest of us look bad....lol I would love to get a hand painted Christmas card - how special is that.
We have this married couple, friends of ours who we ride with alot. Every year they fix up each other bikes with new trinkets for Christmas. Needless to say they both have awesome rides.
I have to go and pick up DH from my moms house. I don't think I mentioned that he had a colonoscopy today (Geez, maybe I'm too old to post on here?LOL). My stepdad took him and then took him to his house for recovery. Which at my moms means, eat, watch tv, eat, sleep, eat, etc. anyhow he came out fine and had no pollips.....Again it sucks getting old, don't go there girls......lol However, to his credit, DH is 3 years younger than me......
Talk to you chicks tomorrow........

HarleyMom 12-06-2005 04:46 PM

Hey Chicks! Star love the article. Thanks for posting it. Sounds like everyone is getting a grip on there weight loss programs. Go chicks, go! Excerise eat right and stay healthy!

Snowing and 9 degrees here today. Cold, really cold. Icey roads yuck! We are having a cold spell this week we will warm up to 30 degrees on Friday. I hate driving in this crap!

I am buying my DH an I Pod for Christmas. One of my girls a guitar and the other :?: I don't know. She is not asking for anything right now. My son is also a big :?: He needs new shoes so maybe I will buy him a pair. I don't know. I have not bought one single present yet. I will wait until the week before I think. I also like the thought of something you need. I already got an early present a Kitchen Aide mixer. Love it! I do a lot of baking so it has already come in handy.

Kathy I think it is fantastic that you paint. It is something I have always wanted to try. Maybe I'll focus on that this year! Sounds fab!

I love Birks I've got 3 pair. I also have recently started wearing Crocks. I almost think they are more comfy then Birks. Ugly but really comfy! My DH even wears the Crocks. As a matter of fact everyone in the house has a pair now.

Well Chicks I am going to go fair the weather in 45 min. I have to go feed my dogs and take the pig out and then back to school for my DD concert this evening.

Have a good one All!

Star 12-06-2005 04:53 PM

Harley - you have a pig? I must of missed that - how cool....what's it's name.
Have to leave right now,but catch you tomorrow...stay warm (somehow)
Hugs..

HarleyMom 12-07-2005 11:45 AM

Yes we do have a pot bellied pig. Her name is Cissy, she was named when we got her and never changed it becasue that is what she knew. They are interesting pets. She is my daughters baby. When she moves the pig goes with. They can live to be 30 years old. She is fun but work. Very cute. Usually more well behaved then the dogs. She gets a little testy some days. (don't we all!) She thinks she is human. Likes to jump on the coach and sit with us. I don't let her as she weighs 120 lbs or more.

Anyhow big news chicks another 4.8 lbs gone. I am exactly 200 lbs now. 48.8 lbs lost! I am about 5 lbs from half way mark! I will be under 200 next time a go to JC. Everybody at the center was cheering me on last night. It was nice.

It is 6 below today I mean COLD! Icy cold. We are having a heat wave this weekend it is going to be in the 40's. Hope it is warmer where ever you all are! Have a great day Chicks!

Are we supposed to restart it, Trina? Or do we need to?

rebelridergirl 12-07-2005 12:17 PM

Morning Chickies!

Harley- We got the cold and snow here too today. As of 8am my radio said we had 2 inches and that it was 8 below, with the wind chill. My car said 8 degrees or something. Anyhow...its cold!! An Ipod would be a great gift. Yet, another huge congratulations to you on your weight loss! You ROCK!

Star- I am so glad that your hubby is doing well! How is he doing on the smoking thing?

Kathy- Good for you for running! I wish I was more creative, like a lot of you ladies.

Well, I'll be back soon to post more... Gotta check on some kids real quick!

Star 12-07-2005 12:17 PM

Happy Hump Day

Harley - :cb: :cp: :hat:  :dancer: Congrats - You are really on a roll.....Way to Go.....WOW you will be in Onederland by Friday.......I remember when I got below 200 an how geeked I was......we will have to throw you a big party.......

Cissie sounds adorable. I don't know anyone that has a potbelly pig. What do they eat?

It is like 19 degrees here. Thanks gosh I have warm clothes, I'm such a sissy. don't like to even go outside in this weather, it gets my face all chapped and ugly.....(or is that old age:?: )

Hi Andrea, Oh I don't think we have to restart this thread, it seems fine the way it is.....why change a good thing, right:?:
About DH and quitting smoking, well he really only stopped yesterday prior to the proceedure, so we will keep an eye on him from here on out....I think he will do good as he knows how much I want him to be healthy........I love him so much and couldn't live without him......

Take off when good yesterday and is going good today too. I go and weigh in at 1:15 (one hour) and will come back and post any changes......:crossed:

later....

rebelridergirl 12-07-2005 12:55 PM

Star-How much do you usually lose doing Take Off?

Harley- Cissie does sound adorable!

Speaking of pets, I really need to get my kids into the vet soon. Simba (the cat) needs shots, neutering, and declawing. Lucy really needs her teeth cleaned and possibly some pulled. Her breath is hideous. It's not even just stinky doggy breath...its putrid. Poor old thing.

I really wish I could go home now. I am so tired of misbehaving children. I think that when they're bad their parents need to come and get them and take them home. I mean why waste time with discipline here? They aren't going to do their work or be agreeable anyhow...they ought to just go home. I can't imagine doing this job all day and then going home to some little turds of my own...ughhh...yuck. I would hope that my kids wouldnt be so awful.

rebelridergirl 12-07-2005 12:56 PM

Good luck with the weigh in Star!!!!

Star 12-07-2005 01:05 PM

Hi Andrea -
When you have 'little turds' of your own - you'll think they aren't capable of doing such awful things at school......they will be 'perfect little turds'

About Take Off and how much I lose.....Hum:?: Some lucky girls lose like 5 pounds, BUT ofcourse not me....I lose anywhere from 1 to 3 pounds. Now I know that's not much for the effort BUT it is a great way to get me back in the swing of eating POP (perfect on plan). Since I've been off plan for over a month I need the 'boost' in the right direction....Plus it feels like I'm torturing myself becuz I'm not at goal.....So if I lose 1 - 3 pounds I will be happy and know I'm going in the right direction.

Okay - I'm off for the final 'Take Off' number....will be back with results in one hour..........

Star 12-07-2005 03:01 PM

Okay I'm back...with no so good news. Went to COD and I have only lost .6 pounds.......how's that for a swift kick in the pants? The 'new' manager said it was becuz I omitted the fat from the unlimited Take Off. I think it is becuz the lack of fiber, which put me back into the 'not going' problem....(TMI) Sorry. Anyhow the new young little manager told me to eat as much oil as possible with my next couple meals and then I should be down by Friday......
Oh and get this, she called me 'Missy" I think she was about 19.....lol
Don't worry that this will upset me - not at all, I never lost much on TO, but I think I would have done just as well and been $24 richer if I would of just went POP for these two days.......But on a bright note, my blood pressure was 100/65 (unless she took that wrong).....lol

chick_in_the_hat 12-07-2005 03:13 PM

Star 0- Ohhhhhh waiting on pins and needles with :crossed: !!! Too funny - betwwen the time I typed that and when I hit go advanced you have posted. Hey girl half a pound is half a pound...:carrot: Try Fat Free Ruffles with olean - they will make you go...:sp: Just don't eat too many..

Andrea - 'little turds' would seem to be charitable term...may I suggest a small soundproof room to toss them in when you are sick of them? maybe a window if you feel like being nice so you can see if they are trying to hang themselves or something...can you tell I'm not a parent?

Harley - My cousin has a pot bellied pig...it started out really cute....quite a few years ago. ;) Smart animals! :encore: Congrats - almost to Onederland!!! So exciting! :carrot:

Kathy - wow paintng...your parents will be psyched to get such a great gift!

I won't tell what the temparature is here....mostly because everyone here comments on how cold it is...you guys would laugh at what we think is cold.

2frustrated 12-08-2005 07:30 AM

 Howdy y'all! Today I am absolutely starving. I'm going to chew my own arm off if I don't go and buy more food! I've already eaten everything I brought with me (apart from lunch)! It's proper hunger too, belly hunger not head hunger. It makes sense really because I've not been hungry at all for the past 3 days! Now even the paperwork is starting to look like an appetising meal! Gotta go and get some go juice for little Roxy Rebel too, so I will kill 2 birds with one stone and get me more FOOD! And I get an extra ride in today! WOO!

Have a great day ladies, we're all doing so well! We'll be sticks by Christmas!

Star 12-08-2005 08:51 AM

Morning chicks.....Really cood her like 8 degrees or something....
Sad news, my uncle curley died last night. Remember my aunt that passed on Nov 20th? Well her husband went to be with her, he was 84. I feel so bad for my poor cousin, she was really close with her parents (saw them daily). I don't know if you remember me talking about going to aunt and uncles for lunch often, they were hillbilly food pushers. Our families all lived together when we were small. Anyhow it is a sad time for us here....
I'll be here today, not sure when the funeral is yet...waiting for the call.
Hugs...
