Hi all,

Back from my weekend of what I will refer to as my "carbfest". It all started on Friday when I was feeling crappy all day. I was sure I was coming down with something. By the time I got home from a lousy day at work I had no energy and felt sorry for myself. I convincd my finance that a burger and fries would make me feel better and that's what started it all. Over the weekend I had a tons of bad food choices including the following:

Huge burger (bacon/cheese) and a large fries with gravy
Another burger and fries (the first one was great)
Chips and dip
corn chips and cheese sauce
Large plate of pasta with meat balls and sauce
Garlic bread with cheese
alot of beer

I had the pasta late on Sunday and before I went to bed I weighed myself and I was up ten pounds since that friday!!!! I spent Monday depressed and feeling guilty. Today I am focused on forgetting and eating right again. I slid the scale way under my bed so I would not use it. I have a physical on Friday and that will be the only time I will step on the scale.

I am sure that ten pounds is not all fat as it was late and all the carbs I had must have retained some water right? Let's hope.

Hope you all behaved better then me this weekend!

Dale

Don't beat yourself up Dale, we are human and all have lapses. Its only a failure if we use it as an excuse to give up--otherwise its a bump along the way and today is a new day and fresh start. *bighug* MY breakfast yesterday consisted of Nutty Bars, hardly a nutritious choice, but I ended up the day pretty much on target as far as my points goals go. I'm a scale addict too, btw, and I suspect you have lots of company in that department.

I'm actually calling to doctor's office today because I need soem fasting bloodwork done and my appt isn;t until 3:30 tomorrow--if I fast all day like that I'll eat anything in sight. Consequently I'm going to see if he call fax a Rx for the boodwork over to hospital so I can get the bloodwork done earlier in the day. Then I can eat sensibly and not be a slave to the ravenous monster that overcomes me when I go too long without eating.

Well it's Wednesday and the weekend is definately in the pass. I forgave myself and made a vow to be completely OP this upcoming weekend. I have a lingerie party for a friend getting married and I will not eat everything in sight. I am going to even bring my own food. This week has been busy at work and that has kept my mind off of eating. At times I had to force myself. I tend to forget to eat until I get home at night and that can't be good.

Have great day!

Dale

Right now my immediate goal is to make it to 199--anything below 200. After that I'll take it 10lbs at a time. Right now I'm really struggling because I'm tyring to fast until 3:30 for that bloodwork, but I've got a hungry headache. I'm drinking a lot of water to help stave off hunger. I may have a cup of tea, which still counts as fasting since I don't put anything in my tea, and perhaps the caffiene will help.

Much to my delight, I was down 2.2 lbs this week. I'm pleased because my home scale hadn't shown a loss. I determined that my scale is approximately 1 pound heavier than that at WW and 2 lbs heavier than that at my docs. I know I shouldn't obsess about the scale, but I do--I make a point of not getting stressed about the daily fluctuations though--those are to be expected. I just want to see a general trend downwards. Two more pounds and I'll be back at the lowest I've achieved in the last 6 months.

Congrats on the loss!!!!! I know how you feel when you say to be under 200, I do the same thing with every ten pounds....first it was under 180, 170, 160, 150...and now I think it would be great for under 140. Off to the doctor this morning and hoping to have those tens pounds from the weekend gone....crossing my fingers
