Good Morning ladies.
Kinda late getting here, dh was on looking for stuff to buy Been up since 7, gathered laundry, folded a load, washed a load, getting ready to move them all and start more (geez it never ends with 6 ppl). Don't know how those with more keep up.
Mel: yes I've had some tought times but I'm a strong independent person and got through most of them by myself.....I'm not generally one to talk to others when there is something wrong, I work it out alone.
As far as your living room, that is a tough one. Too bad there isn't a way to move the other section of the couch away from the railing and put the rocking chair there. He would be less likely to try and climb over it because it moves. GL working something out to give you more peace of mind.
Penny: He's lucky I didn't make him put more in there.....after Walmart and the grocery store yesterday that only leaves him like $15...
QOTD: I have to agree with Spryng on this one.....trying to get them to clean.....I can beg, plead, yell, bribe, threaten to take things away and it does no good whatsoever.....DH says clean and they jump Go Figure !!!
Well time to do one of my least faves.....sorting socks and undies.....I'm bad, I let them build up and make everyone get their own out of the basket.....pile is getting rather large so guess I better take care of it today since I'm doing laundry anyway.
ok ladies... one last post from me... Cindi and I are going to do a flylady cleaning challenge at noon central time (you don't have to be a flylady follower to join, lol) we will meet up with our yahoo mess but if you don't have this we can meet in the msn room. Let me know if you are interested! TTYL!
Ok, let’s see I have about 10 more hours to do something resourceful.. even though that’s not the word I’m looking for…. Let’s see If I can make me a list….
Wash Dishes Cook Wash Dishes… again Wash clothes Fold clothes Put clothes up….. (I really hate that part!!) Look through my tapes Denise Austin.. Matlock.. Etc. Reset all the clocks Reset all the timers on the VCR Clean the Living room (about 5 times) Finish reading my book!!! Exercise… maybe…. 1 mile WATP?!?!?
Man.. I could go on and on!!! Ok…. Let me see I think I’ll just stop there.. I didn’t add all the stuff that I always do like, bathe the kids.. Feed them, dress them, bathe and feed myself!!! Comb my daughter’s hair…. Get my journal and stuff together… etc. etc. I wish I could put “nap” in there too! But that’s not gonna happen. OH LORD, my husband has changed to channel to GOLF!!! I know I need to go now!!! GRRRR!! Well time to get out my recipes and start cooking. Just thought I’d share my schedule for the day since I said I would like a week ago!!
Spryng- I would be interested.. but I don't even know where to meet in msn.. and I don't have no one's yahoo messenger!!!
QOTD- I can't stand going to people's house with them... or going somewhere like fishing or something where I have to constantly be watching them and making sure they arent acting bad.... while everyone else is out having a good time... or letting their kids run wild!!
MUSIC- I love R&B, hip-hop, zydeco(cajun), pop, almost anything except country and techno.. I have to be in a certain mood to listen to that too.. and rap... sometimes I'm not in the mood for anything loud!

Awwwww man this is what I get when I sleep in huh? Two pages on a Sunday!! Crazy!! Well Cindi, Spryng and I just finished doing a flylady challenge and it was so great. We would specify which room we wanted to go to and then take 15 minutes and clean as much as we could and then we would come back and chat for 5 mintues or so, we did this for about an hour and we got sooooooo much done. I was so surprised. It was great, I am bummed I will miss it tomorrow because of school but I will def. do it the following week. So my daughter woke up like 3 times last night because she would get sideways in her crib and didn't have room to stretch out! I would have to go in and move her and then she was fine again. I had a hard time falling asleep as it was so I am a little tired this morning. No big deal though, I don't have much to do anyway.
Lori congrats on the loss! That is so great, your hard work is paying off! I had to laugh when you said you dh bough 13 going on 30! I think you are the 4th person on here to watch it after I mentioned it! It is such a cute movie though, I watched it again last night. Did you watch the extras? The one that said I was a teenage geek had me LOL!! It was funny!!
Crystal cool that you got sleep and really cool about the decorating thing, give us more details! How did you start the program? etc. Very interesting.
Mel I am making the chicken tonight I promise!! Very pretty living room! Looks nice! Glad you had a better day!
Penny I think we all have friends like that! But if you are happy that is all that matters! And I know you are. People who try and make you feel like less of a person because of your devotion to being a good mom and wife are obviously not happy themselves. There is not much you can say or do to help them unfortunatley because they might not really know what happiness is anyway. I say visit with her and just show her how happy you are. Don't get down on yourself about weight either, you are doing so much more by raising responsible young men and I think that is a much bigger accomplishment than being 110 pounds! Anyway you are such a great person and have helped us all so much that I don't want you to ever feel bad about yourself! You are awesome!!! Just tell her that!
Cindi it was great doing flylady!! Hope you are having a good rest of the day!!
Spryng you earned that good dinner and brownie batter blizzard girl!!! I like what you said about not waiting to start eating right again, just do on your next meal, it gets you in the mode! You are such an inspiration to us! And it's good to know you are human once in awhile too!
Leigh hope you get up and running soon!!
Jaymi good to know you are ok, any damage on the house?
Deana good to have you around! Sounds like you are getting a lot done today! Hope you are having a good On Plan day!
Ok that's it for me for now, I really need to eat now!! SO hungry! I'll talk to you all soon!!!
QOTD: I don't like letting my daughter feed herself, I do let her cause I know it is good for her development but she gets it everywhere!! And to make matters worse I have a cloth high chair so I am constantly washing it, I guess I should just take the cover off and let her sit in the plastic but it doesnt' look as nice!! Ok thats really it now!!!
Sheesh! I have no internet for a few hours and look what happens . . . 3 million posts Well, we've had an uneventful afternoon. Actually, not being online made me very productive, so everything's in order and there are clothes in the dryer!
Deana- so is it pronounced "dee-nuh" then? I have an aunt named Deena pronounced that way BTW, sorry - my name is Leigh. Guess I left that part out! Pronounced "lee" I read some of the Harry Potter books, but not all.
Crystal-ooo! I'd love to see a pic of the kitchen! Maybe we could pay for you to come here and help us with our guest room renovation So you like Bruce Willis? I love him!
Melissa- that sounds like a beautiful shower gift! I will get back OP I'm waiting until I can get to the store and all. The couch doesn't look bad in the picture . . .
Penny- I love Target too, but feel like I should own stock! Or at least work there for a discount. hey, about your friend - maybe things will be different this time when you see her? Also, maybe some of her previous comments come out of a little resentment or envy on her part - maybe she'd like the security of marriage?
Ricci- did you get to church today after all?
Jill- like the idea of putting the date on the thread. It did help me today when looking for the thread
Geri- Again, I love Target I can get in sooo much trouble there, though. A new Target will be nice! I have two Targets very close to me, but Walmart is far. About having a second- again, that depends on the day you ask me LOL. Does Will usually not want to leave once he's somewhere?
Angel- that's really cool about your mother's art work!
Michelle- glad DH's procedure went well! Happy Birthday to Taylor I can't wait to see pics of your walls.
Lori- on the loss!! Sounds like you're having a productive day
Cindi- hope this week is more relaxing for you.
Spryng- I was never a huge Stephen King fan until I read his memoir (On Writing). Now I still don't really like his books much, but I really like him as a person. I think it's neat how into his marriage he is - even after all these years, and he came across as very down to earth. Thanks for the words of advice. I have been in a bit of a slump the past month. I'm trying to figure out a good time toi start again if DH and I go on a road trip, will that just set me up for failure?
Cheri- I don't go to WW meetings. I bought the kit on ebay and do it on my own, but with a lot of help from the lovely ladies here
Jaymi- your little road trip sounds like fun! have you been to Savannah before? DH and I LOVE Savannah. I can tell you about an extremely wonderful, but fattening restaurant there if you'd like
QOTD Right now, I hate changing Liam's daiper. He's like an acrobat . . . this is not fun when it's a dirty diaper. He also screams at the top of his lungs like I'm abusing him or something!
Well, I desperately need to go to Target - I'm just about out of dog food and other stuff - so that will be tomorrow. Hopefully DH can head home tomorrow, but who knows. They may want endless hurricane coverage forever
Well I was just getting the instructions for the lemon chicken and left the baby in the other room with dh. It got real quiet and I knew he was not really watching her cause he was trying to nap so I went in there and the baby had eaten (or made a mess of) it and it was all over the carpet (I had given him the muffin earlier and he didn't eat it he set it on the table where the baby could get it!!) so we took some video of it and then he cleaned it up. So that is my story for now, we are going to the park, be back later!
Hey, all,
No, I haven't been to church today. I am going this evening. I did go to the movies with my mom and my sister. It was a good movie, but a lousy situation for me today. My mom called and said she was taking my sister school shopping after the movie, and wanted to know if I wanted to go too. I said sure, because I haven't been to the mall for awhile, and they are having a clearence sale on their summer stuff. Well my mom calls me back ands says Caitlin is wanting just the two of them to go. That usually isn't such a big deal to me, but every time I want to do something with just my mom, my sister or my little brother always tags along. Needless to say, my sister once again got her way, and got to go to the movie and shopping alone. Yes, I did cry over it, and I know I shouldn't have, but it made me feel really left out. I am just tired of my sister being a brat and trying to always get her way, and my mom letting her. Granted, caitlin is only 15, but still.
Anyway, Jill and Geri it was nice chatting with you all last night. For those of you who don't know, I posted some before and after pics on the website. I told jill and geri I would post a nude pic so you all could see my perfect boobs. Just kidding. I wouldn't subject Anyone to that. Well, I might check in later. Have a good evening
Hey Ricci sorry about the mom situation. If I were you I would tell her how you feel and just let her know that it hurts you to be left out like that. Just because you are a mom not doesn't mean you don't get your feelings hurt, right? If you don't feel comfortable doing that then write her a note or an e-mail and get your feelings out, I'm sure she would understand. Sounds like you need some one on one mom time!
Hi girls. I watched Seabiscuit this morning, I had been wanting to see it. It was pretty good. Then a friend of mine stopped by to look at an Avon book and place her order with me. Then me and ...Drew went to the grocery store, I only needed a couple of items. Now I'm fixing to start spaghetti.
Leigh, of course I like Bruce Willis. How hot is he? I like him mostly in action movies, you know, no shirt, hot sweaty, yummy!!! LOL!!! And he plays so many characters so well. I love the decorating thing, I just can't figure out how to use it while my kids are little.
Jill, the decorating class was at home. They sent me my books and lessons and tests. I sent in my tests and we did this for several months. I passed but don't get my diploma until the class is paid for. It was alot of fun. I won't be a licensed decorator, just have a diploma, but for what I want to use it for that will work fine. I like giving my decorating opinions and suggestions.
Spryng, Cindi, Jill, I want to join some of those challenges. I have to keep up so I know when they are. I wouldn't be able to do all of them, but I could slowly get it going. Plus the chat along the way would be fun.
Ricci, so sorry to hear about that. 15 year olds can be so selfish. But she probably thinks since you're a grown up then you don't need that one on one with mom time. I know you do, but she may not understand that. Is she an inmature 15 year old or could you discuss this with her that even though you're a grown up you still need some alone time with mom? Would she understand or even try to understand?
Okay, I've got to go, gotta start dinner and so on. Get ready for The Dead Zone tonight, can't wait to see Anthony Michael Hall, yipee!!!
Well dinner is in the oven, I'm making that Make Mine Meat Loaf. It won't be done until 5:30... I am so hungry!!LOL
I did get a nap in and boy did that feel good.
Crystal, I havn't seen Seabiscuit either... was it a tear jerker? I love Bruce Willis too.. have to love him in Die Hard (all of them) what was Demi thinking? LOL.. skinny little Ashton instead of manly Bruce?? I think not!! And join us for the flylady challenge tomorrow! How about at 5 pm central??
Ricci, I had a little sister who did the exact same thing when she was 15.. (I have nothing nice to say about her now) Just don't let it get to you... I agree with the others about talking to either your mom about it or your sister if you think she'd understand and cooperate. And I checked out your pics!! So nice to see what you look like! For some reason I was imagining your with short black hair or dark brunette for some reason, lol. We really need to meet girl!
Jill, please let us know how that lemon chicken comes out! You've been talking about it for so many days that I want some now, lol. And muffin crumbs get everywhere don't they? LOL.. I'm sure it vacuumed up quickly. And I took a look at your house and our homes have the exact same paint job!! Except mine doesn't have any trim on it. I'll get a picture soon so you can see.
Leigh, no I don't think that will set you up for failure but it can allow old habits to creep back in along with old lbs. Just determine a plan, maybe look up some sites on the net about being on a trip and staying OP and write out a plan of action. Like a light breakfast and lunch and a moderate dinner or get one of those ww bracelets so you can keep a rough estimate. When is this road trip? But I think you know yourself well... and believe me being on the road and trying to eat good is sooo hard! I know.. I tried it a few weeks ago remember and didn't do good. lol. I still ended up losing weight from it but I'm sure it was just a fluke.
Jaymi, did you get everything on your list done today? We missed you at the challenge!
Jill, Drew is Andrew. My mom calls him Drew and sometimes it's just easier to type.
Spryng, Ashton Kutcher is too hot, but for a 20 something year old, you know what I mean. Bruce is just so manly and hot. I would love to join a challenge, but 5 is not good for me. I'll have to try something around 3ish or so. But you girls just post when you're gonna do one and if the time is right, I'll join. Thanks. Seabiscuit was not sad at all. It was one of those happy movies. I mean a few sad parts but nothing to bring tears.
Gotta go do dinner now. TTYL
Hey gals- Before I reply to your posts I wanted to get in another mommy question
So this will be Liam's first winter in actual clothes (last winter he was newborn and wearing mostly sleepers) and I suddenly realize I have a few top/pants sets, but mostly overalls. Is this reasonable? Do you dress your babies mostly (or often) in overalls during the fall/winter months?
