Hello ladies--

Well it's official....the mama cat is getting spayed on Wednesday!! I'm afraid she's starting to roam again...I hope we catch her before she's knocked up again!! :D I even asked about the two female kittens....wanted to know how old they needed to be for when I take them in to get fixed also. I got a few months still. Going to stop the breeding!!!!!!!!

Today Jhanai are planning on going to the dollar store. Neat little things in there to entertain ourselves. We plan on walking...so that will be my exercise for the day!

I will have to come back later to do individuals....I forgot what was said on the other thread.......so for now...I'm going to throw on some lipstick and put on a pair of jeans....try to look presentable when I go to town! :D

I'm feeling much better today. However, I'm very hungry today and can't seem to get full tonight my hubby wants fajitas I'm just gonna eat a my fat free beans and tortillas...... My puppy dizzy decided that she likes to sleep inside James boots, she really likes his socks and clothes guess she likes the way he smells eeewwww... My meds are making swell up like the girl from Charlie and the chocalate factory hehe...
Well I'm off to do some pilates James now has to do PT twice a day so now i have one whole hour to do exercises, hope everyone has a great day.... Heather :dizzy: :dizzy: :dizzy:

Hi Heather--

You know that you can make those fajita's and enjoy everything in them. I don't know what kind you plan on making, but with a lowfat tortilla, chicken, bell peppers.....it's not all fattening. And it can be quite filling. Don't deprive yourself of all the good things. Just find a way to make it more health friendly.

(hmmmmmm.....I should take my own advice!! :D )

Just have had a lazy spill and a sit back and veg spill........and a weight gain spill...which sent me over the edge ......lol

So, pretty much have not wanted to talk but don't want others to worry.

I will yak about something, I guess. I am 145 today. I have been eating very healthy the last 3 days and drinking 100 oz of water. Would love to get back down to 139 by the end of the month.

Have done a lot of beach trips and waaaaaay too much junk food going on.Though I must say , I have enjoyed every peanut and Costco hot dog!!!

So glad to see you posting! Yeah, St. Luke has started serving a community meal. I think it's the last Saturday or something. Keep meaning to sign up to help cook and/or serve but have always had something going on. Maybe when school gets back in full swing. I really am liking our church..they have a strong focus on serving the community. I grew up around an attitude that was very conditional with regard to helping those in need. St. Luke is very unconditional.... it is something I need in my spiritual life....

I so enjoy reading about how well things are going with Gaby's dad. You two are giving your little girl such a wonderful gift.

Went to the dollar store and was thrilled to get myself some cotton balls!! :lol: Didn't really need them, but I bought them anyway!! And a soap dish. Very easily satisfied with my spending!!

I ate too much dinner....actually I did ok, but I haven't been eating much lately with this heat and I ate a little more than usual and I feel stuffed. Pasta does that to me though.

I just wanted to pop in and say hello.....one of my many trips to the site.

Marti - yay for you getting your kitty spayed! I like to browse around the dollar store too, and bought those really huge mugs to serve soup in. They are great for that. Also I like to buy coloring books for the grandkids. Can't beat the price.

Heather - fajitas aren't a bad food! Actually, on WW, we can have anything. Maybe not too much of it, lol.

Susan - glad to see you! When you are "off program", that's when you need us most, sweetie. But I know just how you feel.... I have been there/done that in the past. Glad things are still good with Gaby's daddy. How's the job and the DDs?

Jen - does your baby still have that thingy around her neck? Hope they both are doing well.

RosieKate - have you tried the sugar free fruit bars yet? They are soooo good, and point free!

Well, it has been so stinking hot that I haven't accomplished much today. My energy level is low in heat like this, even though I'm sitting in A/C.

Looking forward to tomorrow - Mary and I are having lunch. Since she's working full-time, I feel as though I lost my best buddy. So we're meeting in town for lunch and I know we'll have a good time.

The A/C in my life has given me this cold sore Jana! Our office has a wonderful cooling system but the last several weeks with the hot weather and me going out after being inside gave me a cough..........whaaaa.....

Feel like a big baby........lol
Though Gabster was also sick with a cough last week, think it was because of the fan on her at night.

Rachel and Rebecca are doing super! They are in a summer school thing this week and will go to OMSI tomorrow. Hope they make church camp next month. Took Rebecca to the coast and we ate our way over HWY 26.......over the coast range. Pretty sure there wasn't going to be any food over the mountains but there was......Warrenton has a COSTCO, love their hot dogs.

RK- Think turkey dinner is this Saturday. My ex wants to start attending St Luke , has been at St Fisher for awhile. He goes to the senior center in the village and has been babysitting Gaby for me for awhile now. He is a sweet man. I was invited to his son's wifes baby shower, so that was nice. Rachel and Rebecca would be Aunts to the baby. They have brothers and sisters from 46 down to 36.......lol......plus Gaby on my side at 28 months.

Glad you are getting your kitty spayed Marti. I need to get my Mia fixed as well. She is a year old and has always been an inside cat.......very clean and sweet. She lays on the tub edge and watches Gaby get a bath, not scared of water at all....

Hope Gabster's father and I can continue getting along but he really kind of annoys me.......lol.Sorry, he just does......maybe that is why we aren't together.......lol,he smokes and I can't stand the smell. Though he has always been sweet to me- I kind of like being on my own now.

Well, shoot, Marti -- I just missed ya in chat tonight...any of you guys on there any particular evenings?

I've been working 6:45 am for the last week and a half...wayyyyyy too early in the morning for me, bleah. I have Friday off, then back to my regular hours on Monday, thank goodness.

It's so hot here...99-102, supposed to continue for like the next week at least. Ah, Sacramento in the summer, when the prime parking spots are no longer the closest ones, but the ones in the shade...

Susan, there is this medicine over the counter called Abreva for cold sores. It costs a small fortune -- like $15 or more for a little tiny thing of it, but it really, really works. Makes it heal quickly.

OK, these early hours are for the birds. I am so tired :tired: and so is my honey, so it's bedtime :faint: I've missed you all, and it's been nice reading and catching up on what's been going on in everyone's lives :comp:

KatieCat - Hello!!!! Long time no see...!! We just started the chat thing, and are meeting on Thursdays at 9 pm Indiana time. Which I think would be 7PM your time. A few of us met there last night just on the spur of the moment, and had fun. It gets a little crazy, lol.

Well, girls, as I said in my last post, I'm having lunch with Mary today. Other than that, I really don't care if I do anything or not. It is still so hot, but will maybe cool off this weekend.

I've been reading your posts for the past few days seeing if I can get myself inside your tight nit group. By the way you all sound great!

Although, one thing I do not understand is the heat wave you are all suffering..here in Puerto Rico our weather is always hot so we just live in the AC.. day and night! The lowest will be during the year will be in December about 65 - 70 degrees and the hottest more than 100 degrees, as in RIGHT NOW.

I will be at my first week's weight in tonight, so I'll let you know tomorrow how it goes!

QUESTION: Has anyone tried an excersice program called THE FIRM? I saw some tapes at Borders and am thinking of buyng them...

Hello Jo, I have never heard of the firm, whats it all about? Im always up for learning new things.

Well yesterday I had an interesting day,,,good and bad,,,and down right ugly.
Brandon had his toe Dr give him the ok on a healthy toe,,yay, I went to my Dr and I again have a sinus infection,,,so more expensive meds coming my way. That was the bad, The GOOD was George Straight,,,OMG he really knows how to draw a crowd. I enjoyed it cause he sang good ol country music without AS MUCH (there was some) lights and fog shows...
The ugly was, I got a letter from a collection agency,,,saying I owe the gym I used to go to 29.96 I know I paid it, even had proof I paid it,,,I was just ticked,,,(wait I was alot more then ticked) And I went to the gym,,,and literally wigged out. I was down right rude and vicious. Told them they had a choice of two, make the call to the agency and informed they of their mistake or call the cops,,,I wasn't leaving till this was taken care of. The guy kept telling me to lower my voice,,,I told him no,,,he better work fast or I will get louder. It was nasty....then when he opened my file and saw my paid for receipt,,,his eyes bugged out,,,cause at first I got the impression he thought I did owe money...wellllll the attitude sure changed. And for some reason that made me more angry...(I think I was using this for pent up stress) He more or less started grovelling,,,I told him by the time I got home I better have a messege or be talking to the collection agency, and KNOWING my credit was cleared of HIS wrong doing. He was still talking and I just walked away from him...
I was shaking so bad when I got to my van I was bawling...I cry when I loose my temper which makes me more angry...yay I was in a mood. Anyways I did get a call from the agency,,,she was upset that this happened,,,I told her it was not her mistake she was doing her job.

Susan, going to the beach sounds wonderful...Im glad you posted cause I don't have your numbers or address,,,and couldn't get ahold of you,,,ya I was worried...lol

Jo--Glad to see you on the chitchat thread!! I have not ever used the firm...but my sister has the tapes and I've been tempted to borrow them, she also has some other workout tapes (not like I don't have enough of my own) that I would like to borrow. Right now, I've been doing pilates again! Really like doing those. Very easy on the body and you can really feel it working! (I just gotta keep it up!!!) :lol:

Angie--Nothing like collection agency sending you stuff!! James got one in the mail a couple months ago for and AOL account that was free when we first got our computer!! They wanted $96!! James was livid to say the least, so he got on the phone and called up the collection agency and went off. According to them we went over or 6mos free AOL by three weeks. Three Weeks!!?? So James had me type out a letter telling him he will pay for the three weeks, but not the anymore than that (not $96!) and also said something like, this is the first time he ever received a notice on the subject why is it already to collections? Shouldn't the company contact them first? Well...that was a few months ago and we still haven't heard from them. Told them to send us a bill for those 3 weeks........ I don't think I would ever want a job at a collection agency!!

Morning to the rest of you girls. Not sure what's up today....I have laundry and I have to go to the bank today and do some yelling myself. I was going over my bank statements last night and I have four different actions that were taken out twice!! Once was taken out three times!! And one of the purchases was for $99!!! Now that can't be right!! So I made sure I circled them all and I will be making an appearance......but I don't think I will be as loud as Angie... :lol:

Morning Ladies~

Jana~no, don't really have anything set/scheduled to do on Wednesday's. Just most of the time V doesn't work overtime on that day, or sometimes Thursday and sometimes we go out. But there are a couple of shows that I have to watch, well don't have to but want to so don't usually get on the computer. Was on last night for a few mintues though in between shows. Have a wonderful lunch with Mary today. I know I enjoy my time with DD, and DS's.

Marti~I hear ya about AOL! We had cancelled them a few years ago, but have since gone back. Have been wanting to change back to MSN but DD says no! So...for now I am dealing with AOL. Anyway...when we cancelled a few years ago because they had dropped one of their local numbers, we cancelled in the middle of the month and got a bill from them. They had actually billed our credit card for the following month. I had to call the credit card co and argue with them to take it off, then we starting getting letters from AOL. After the first one we talked to them and they said we still owed for Dec. I disagreed, and wrote the BBB. Then about a week later we get a letter from AOL apologizing for the mix up and it had been taken care of.

Angie~I feel your pain. I also had that happen-I argued with the woman over the phone and told her I was holding a copy of the cancelled check in my hand. I had to send the lady a copy of the front and back of the cancelled check to prove it was paid. I try not to get angry, but sometimes some of those people will not listen. They get smart with you and there is no need for it. I too wouldn't work in collcetions Marti. Glad to hear George Strait was good. One day I am going to go see him. Had the chance a few years ago, DH was going to take me in KC. But it was a Memorial Day Weekend thing and there were a lot of other artists going to be there. I don't like crowds and figured there would be a lot of people there, always are on a holiday weekend, so I passed-bummer. Hope you get to feeling better, and glad Brandons toe is fine.

Susan~so glad to see you! Yes, girly we worry about you when you are gone for more than a day or two. And as Jana said, when you fall off the wagon is when you need us. But I do understand. When I am feeling that way I don't want to bother others, even though I know that is when I should be posting.

Jo~I have seen the Firm on tv and thought about buying it. Never did though, and don't know anyone who has it. Just couldn't imagine living in your weather. But would love the 65-70 degree weather in December. Now that I could go for. I think our usual in December is 20-30 degrees, not sure but it is cold.

Katiecat~so glad to see ya posting. We miss you girly, but totally understand about the early hours and being pooped.

Nothing much on the agenda for today. Watering the yard right now, even though they say it is going to rain today. Ha, I will believe it when I see it. Doesn't look like rain to me. Have a couple of loads of laundry to do and vacuuming and that is it. Need to finish my book. Did my grocery shopping early this morning, well at about 8:45 or so. Left there at 9:30 and was amazed at how empty the store was, very unusual. Well, at least it was quiet, no screaming kids! Well, I need to go move the sprinkler. I am going to try my hardest to make it onlin tonight-I keep missing all the fun.

im tired hubby had to do a 20k this at 2am today and didn't get back in till 9am I couldn't go to sleep after he left and hadn't gotten to bed before that I finally went to sleep when he came in. I slept good until dizzy(puppy) decided she was wanted to get on the bed too so she barked until i woke up and put her on it.
Yesterday dh and i went and used the gyms sauna and jaccuzi it was great plus I did pilates and my si6 video and walked for a ml..

i want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for chatting with me in the room last night. i felt so motivated that i got up this morning at 6am and did an our long video by Leslie Sansone called "walk away the pounds 4 mile challenge." i have ate healthy all day and have drank my water. i havent felt this good in so long. thank you so much. i also took the advice and prayed when i wanted to eat cookies. i have a feeling that i will be praying a lot. but right now i feel strong and confident. i was half afraid to weigh myself but because i need a start wt i did it...222. and my ultimate goal is officially 140. so there....stuck in concrete. thanks again.

Cristi - So sorry I've been spelling your name wrong, will try harder there. I get thinking things faster than my fingers can type and ....well, I'm just not the greatest typist. i can't stand AOL..they are overpriced.....i use a regional ISP and I just love them so much! I hardly ever get any spam in my email and they gave us free tools to ward off popups and spyware.

TJ - Welcome. I'm glad you are checking us out. Sorry I couldn't hang out to chat more last night, but maybe I'll get to chat with you again in there. My starting weight was 220.....even then I was exercsing alot and eating right...and I felt really good about myself. I think that no matter what my weight, staying active helps keep a positive attitude. Keep up the good work!

Marti - hope you make it to the beach...it is going to be so hot! I just made plans to take the kids to a friends house tomorrow am and let them run themselves ragged in the sprinkler. James has his little track meet tomorrow, but it's in the evening, so it will hopefully be a little cooled off.

Jo - don't know how you manage in PR. I'm a wimpy Oregonian and I start getting cranky when the weather is over 85. I don't like AC all that much, gives me a sore throat..... Good luck on your weigh in tonight...

Angie- Sorry about the collectors. That kind of stuff will really ruin a person's day. Good thing you dealt with it - a good credit report is important.

Susan- I love those Costco dogs, too! I have some in my freezer. We did some entertaining and still had some left over. The packages are so big. I guess I'll take them on our camping trip in August. Glad to read that your summer is going along well. Is Rebecca looking forward to moving up to middle school?

Jana- did you get my PM? Enjoyed chatting with you online last night. Don't know about tonight, though. James has track camp until 8:45, so I'll catch you all another Thursday.

I took the kids to a park to play this a.m., but it got too hot, so we came home around 11. Then the kids played in the kiddie pool in the back yard for awhile. My daughter, who has been going napless all week, had a major meltdown, then fell asleep. This is why I am posting midday today. She's at this awkward in-between stage. Doesn't really need a nap everyday now, but clearly can't give them up entirely. DS is having a siesta every day because track camp runs past his bedtime. So today I get a little midday quiet! I'll probably spend it cleaning house :p Well, gotta go clean out the pool.....

TJ - welcome! I have the Leslie Sansome WATP 1, 2, & 3. But now I do the treadmill, and the dvd's are just getting dusty. 4 miles is a lot! Glad you are being strong so far. Just "don't let what you want for the moment ruin what you want most", ok?

RosieKate - yep, got your PM. I already have the Fast Track... didn't I send you a copy of the higher protein one? I mailed them to several JLs... It is very restrictive, but effective when first starting.

Well, speaking of straightening people out, this must be a banner day for it! I went in for my glasses today, and they were all wrong!!!! This is from the "best" opticians this area has to offer, btw. The lens were not even close, and the frames were close but not the right ones!!!! I made them give me a refund, and said why should I let them re-order? Why would I think it would be correct next time??? The place was crowded and they were quick to give me the money, and get me out, lol. Then I took my prescription to Wal-mart's eye place, and ordered what I wanted. And saved $200! Now, if only they get them right, lol. :crossed: Meantime, I have to wait another 7-10 days!

Hi gals. I only have a few minutes, and then I have to get busy around here. I don't want to be stuck doing everything all weekend when I am off.

I've been fighting migraines all week, especially today, with the humidity and storms. Today is different, not so much pain, but so dizzy. It's starting to hit again. I'm not sure which is worse. UGH.

The cats are all doing fine. One is excellent, the other is still a conehead, but all of her staples are still in from Monday, so there you go! Guess she'll have to put up with it for at least another week! Poor girl! And I get to go through this again this fall with my kitten and her mom. I hope they aren't so feisty about it.

Well, I'm going to go, having trouble typing the way my head feels. Hopefully, I can get back in later tonight.

Cleaned the bedrooms of Rachel and Rebecca this morning. It was fun, I miss that - miss taking care of them.
I guess Gaby got her finger stuck in a key hole at DMV today and couldn't get it out.......of course finally she did. This was when she was with the "babysitter".....see, I miss all the fun stuff!
I am almost done with my newsletter, it looks so pretty. I am up to 6 pages now, my first one 2 months ago was only 2 pages..............front and back..lol........I really like doing it.

I heard from Les Is No More. That is all I will say about that, he did apologize and we talked some.

What else?? Oh, Marti!!! Can't you ever come visit Portland with James?? Be fun to meet you , along with RK.....some morning I am just going to show up on her (RK) front yard. Not that I know where she lives but she has given enough clues, I can maybe figure it out. Angie ain't the only PI.......lol....

Hello girls...

Thought I would come on before I went to bed. Didn't get back in time to chat with everyone! Sorry about that. Traffic was back up for miles. I thought it was an accident somewhere but it was a broken down semi...in the fast lane on a bridge. Now how messed up is that? On my way back it looked so back up....it looked like a convoy of trucks!! I couldn't see many cars just semi's.

I went to the bank this afternoon. Jhanai wanted to stay with grandpa while I went so I dropped her off. Apparently they messed up everyones statements and had already corrected it...so I made them print me a new copy just to make sure. Now I'm balanced! (ok...maybe I'm off by a few dollars....and not in my favor either!)

I well girls, I better get ready for bed. I have an early appointment to get my oil changed in the car. 9:00. Too early for me to want to be up and out of the house by then!! (boy I've been spoiled)

Up earlier this morning, I kept hearing a whistling sound and come to realize it was me! :lol: Heaven forbid.....poor James...He must sleep better while he's away!

And since I had to get up early anyway I thought I would get up now. (My alarm was set for 7:00)

Cristi--There must be a history with AOL and them taking money when they're not suppose to....James had the same problem when we first got together...they kept deducting it out of his bank account after he had cancelled it months before. He didn't even have the computer hooked up anymore! He finally called them up and fixed the problem!

Heather--Boy...I miss having the gym and being able to use the sauna's and jacuzzi!! Ok..ok...I never actually used them....but I always said would! :D (just was always know I had the option)

TJ--Welcome!! Sorry I had to go so shortly after while in the chat room. My DD was getting anxious with me and I figured I better get off...only for her to get on the computer!! :lol:

RK--It's early and cool still, but I'm really not looking forward to the weather today if the weather gets as hot as they say it's going to be. I would leave my A/C on while I was gone, but I hate to do that since I have no idea how long I'll be! Try and keep cool!!

Jana--I hope you get your glasses fiasco all fixed up and that you have nice spectacals by this time next week!! Keep my fingers crossed for you.

Jen--Sorry that you're suffering from Migraines!! I get them every once in awhile and I just can't seem to stand any movement, light, sound....anything! I can't imagine suffering with it for a week!! Hope you get better soon!

Susan--I could stay with James, but I have animals at home and no one to watch them!! I would leave my dogs with the vet/kennel if we ever went on vacation, but for only a day.....it's too long. He told me last night that he may be stuck in Portland for a couple months....being the first job location after becoming conductor.....I wasn't too happy, but what can I do?(I'm praying that he won't...he'll find out either today or tomorrow)

Susan - yes, the photo is new, but before you get too proud of me, I have to admit that I took about 40 of them to get 1 to look decent, lol. What was Gaby doing at the DMV? Is she getting her driver's license, lol. Glad the finger went home with her, lol. You know, I think we may have been a little hard on LesisMore. At least he told you about his situation before things got "too" close between the two of you.

Marti - I was late getting to chat myself, and ended up visiting with Elle for about 1/2 an hour. Although I invited her to join us here, she said she has hopped over to the 20's site. I know she'll have fun with women closer to her own age. Not that we are old, or anything, lol. Glad things got lined out at the bank. Any financial mess-up is scary!

Good morning!! Just wanted to share the results of my weight in was that I lost FIVE POUNDS! I am really happy because I have been following my diet and using my bycicle almost every day....

Although five pounds aren't noticeable right now, I hope I shed 2-3 pounds on my second week.

I have decided to go purchase the firm tapes so I will let you know how they work out for me.

Another thing... is that you know that english isn't my first language so if something doesn't make a lot of sense let me know!

How do you get into the live chat.. I have no idea.. HELP.. :?:

If you want to chat...just go to the top of the page and along the menu bar you will see that last one is Chat....go there and it will ask you to put in a user name and password, but since you're a member you just need to put in your name and enter....that will take you to the chat room. Once there you can see who all is in there...at the bottom you can see all the sub rooms and the Jaded Ladies is among them.

RosieKate~don't worry about it. I get it all the time. I think most people see names spelled traditionally and not thinking, type it or write it that way. I know I am always spelling DD name also before any one ask how it is spelled. There are so manyways to spell and it seems the most popular spelling her is Kari. Like with Renee-I have only seen this spelling till I moved here and see it spelled Renea.

JO- congrats on the 5# loss that is so wonderful!! and i hope you enjoy the new tapes.

this is my second day and i still feel strong. ive noticed that the lack of sugar from all my favorite foods has caused a headache but i can live with it. i got up this morning at 530 or so and did taebo basic and denise austins yoga. ive done well with food so far keep in mind its only 2:15 pm here in west virginia so the day is still young. lol

Hello ladies--

Well girls....I thought I was going in for the oil change...I didn't know James had them do some other stuff, so after an hour and a half I was starting to wonder what the heck was going on!! I guess James thought the throttle was getting sticky (which they thought too) and that was what they were working on.
And now it drives wonderfully!! (It drove fine before) but now it drives smoothly!! I find it amazing that James had them do it since he doesn't drive the car!! He drove it once, a month ago only a short distance!!
So now I tend to speed up more (without realizing it of coarse ;) ) Because I guess it was a little sticky..... :D

Jo--I wrote to you earlier and didn't even congratulate you!! I'm sorry. Five pounds is a great thing!! And that is just fantastic that you lost it!!

Cristi--Hope your day at the doctors is going ok. I meant to ask you earlier...do you have flash floods in your area at all? With all this heat going on I always wonder what parts of the country experience that. I dont think I've heard of any here in Oregon...always raining! :lol: (although right now it's hot!)

TJ--Are you on the adkins diet? Or are you just cutting down on your sugar? Sounds like you're doing a great job with your exercises!! Keep up the good work. You have a great attitude!!

I went to the staget last night,,,wasn't as fun,,,we were in a room above teh bar and it was HOT...felt almost ill. And well I was sick of all the male body parts gag gifts...geesh I bet you guys didn't know they have blow up toy about 4.5 feet high did ya? Yes that part of the male body. I refused to be part of teh congo line with that in the front.
Well other then the heat and those things all over it was ok.
Tanners agent called, there is a audition for a young son of a prostitute part...she asked if I was ok with that. I have mixed feelings,,,and Tanners in Sylvan so I can't talk with him yet. Whats your suggestions ladies?

Well I'm really depressed This is the second time this has happen to me i can't seem to get out of the car at the public pool i want to go swimming and have fun but i can't do it It's not like i see any skinny skinny girl running around half naked or anything it just this fear someone is going to be looking at me I hate having lifeguards. James really wants to go and feel awful coz he wont go unless im gonna go swim with him i offered to go and sit and watch him with ( with clothes on) its not even like im going swimming in a bathing suit it a top but its like a shirt and then i got some long shorts but i still cant do it and it makes me feel really bad coz i know james really wants to go and i deprieving him of it.......... SORRY IM RAMBLING ON ILL POST REPLIES LATER I PROBABLY GIVE BAD ADVICE RIGHT NOW HEHE :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Heather - Sorry you are having one of those days - BTDT with the swimsuit. My DH will take kids to the pool, but I am still in a major avoidance mode. It's wierd. When I 'm there, I see people in swimsuits who are larger than me. When I was hugely pregnant I went to the pool all the time for water aerobics. I looked like one of the dancing hippos from Fantasia. Maternity swimsuits are so attractive! But now, I just have the hardest time with it....So I guess I just have commiseration for you today, but no great advice. I'll be reading people's comments for ideas myself. I know I shouldn't care about people looking at me - but I do.

Angie - Funny you should mention blow-up (ahem) members. DH just checked out a DVD of a BBC miniseries called the Office. It's pretty funny. I watched an epi last night and one of the office guys got, you guessed it, for a birthday present. So I at least have a visual...like I really needed one.... I'm glad you didn't do the conga line....never know when pictures of that stuff could end up on the internet :lol:
Re: Tanner's movie....read the script. I wouldn't be able to say unless the thing could be seen in its entire context. I can't remember how old your son is...or how adult the subject matter is...but I can certainly understand your mixed feelings..I would have them as well.

Thought about you the other night. I was watching a PBS show on great hotels along the Canadian Pacific rail line. There were a bunch around Calgary. I was kind of half watching, but Chateau Lake Louise stood out, and I think there was a Prince of Wales. Just gorgeous country - You live in just a beautiful part of the world.

Jana - glad it's going to cool down for you in IN. We are at 100 right now and isn't supposed to cool down until Sunday. I'm a drippy mess! I did go with a girlfriend into the village for a margarita - that certainly takes the edge off. At least until I have to leave the air-conditioned restaurant.

Marti - keep cool, girl! Glad the car is working better. I hate cooling my jets in a garage waiting for the car.....Maybe you could get your grandpa to check in on the dogs and come up to Portland for the day....

TJ - great job on the exercise

I'll do individuals tomorrow, but right now feel too sad... the funeral viewing was sad. He was the 2nd youngest of 6 kids, and the family has always been very close. As I said before, there was only 11 months in age between him and my friend, so he was always around, too. I didn't know it would be this hard.....

heather- i totally understand about the bathingsuit thing.... i havent wore one since 1994 and dont plan on wearing one anytime soon. however, it would be great exercise to swim and if james? is comfortable with the way you look, than that should make it better because hes the one who is showing up there with you. right? anyway, if your body is the only thing those other people are looking at (and not your beautiful personality) then to ----- with them. you know in your heart that you are beautiful and all of the jaded ladies are with you in your heart too! keep up the good work and ill be praying for you the next time i want to eat!!!!

marti- its great that james was thinking of your sticky pedal lol. in all seriousness, its great to have someone looking out for your best interests.

Good Friday evening ladies. I haven't posted much lately, afraid I fell off the weight loss bus. I swear with everything going on it seems all I want to do is eat. It has to get better.
This week my husband had to drive out west to take furniture he built our sons. He went to our place in Las Vegas since we got a call about a water problem there. Our sons joined him there from San Diego. I am so bummed that I didn't go...whah! (although it is way hot there right now!) Hubby took care of all the troubles and is now just having a good time with the boys. I didn't go because my 14 year old grandson is here from CA & has spent some time with me. Then I also have the tests next week and couldn't cancel those. Oh well, we will be going back out there in Nov.

I can relate with those not wanting to wear a bathing suit. But then even when I was thin I didn't think I looked good in one. I have never had a good body image. Looking back I think if I had that body back I would be happy!!

Hey Indiana girls: How about the nice weather and LOW humidity? I worked mowing for 2 hours and then still took my walk. Really enjoyed not being a sweat ball. This weather I could enjoy all the time, couldn't you?
