  • Oh btw, you get a free pic of me and the hair dresser in the background for nicholas...... lol

Does that not look too funny!
  • Ugh! I'm already exhausted I don't know why. I have a stye, so maybe I have an actual cold as opposed to allergies. I'm not sure what will happen at my WI tomorrow - I may end up just maintaining this week, which, let me tell you, would be a good thing after the way I've been eating.

Spryng- My WI is tomorrow too, but my flexpoints don't reset until Monday - although, maybe I should change that in my calculator to coincide with my WI days.

Penny- Have fun with BIL! Great pictures, BTW. I love seeing everyone's photos.

I'm researching toys because I'm looking for a gift for my godson who is turning 4, but I'm also wanting to buy Liam one of those wire/bead maze toys they often have in doctor's offices (but a smaller one) because he LOVES those things.
    TTYL.
  • Hello everyone.
Kristen and Michelle, it was great talking to you. I had to get off of chat early too because dh was going to bed and the computer is in the bedroom. Next week he is on vacation, not sure what we are going to do yet. Someone asked me what videos i am selling on ebay. It's my winsor pilates videos. I hope you all have a great day.
  • Good afternoon all!!

Well I did manage to stay away for a little while, lol. Dinner is in the crockpot and smelling so good already! I decided to make crockpot sour cream and salsa chicken for dinner, I shred it when it's done and make burritos out of it. It is one of my fav meals but I forgot about it, lol. I went through my recipe box and there it was! lol.

Michelle, I found some casseroles in my Saving Dinner cookbook, they sound pretty good too, one is cheeseburger casserole, green chile chicken casserole (I'm going to try that one), layered enchilada casserole, crock pot enchilada casserole.. so if any of these sound good to you I will post the recipe. I think I will make the green chile one and one of the enchilada ones this next week for dinner but double the recipe and take the extra with me on the road. They should all freeze well.

Ricci, sorry I missed you in the chat room last night. I didn't get there until 10 pm. Did you not like your windsor pilates videos?? I've heard good things about them. How much were you asking for them, if you don't mind me asking.

Leigh, that is how it was with me, at first I thought allergies were bothering me with the watery eyes and sneezing and such but I think it was a light cold. But its gone now, I hope you get better too!! Yes I would reset your FP's, they should coincide with your WI's. Tanner has one of those wire toys you were talking about, i got a little one at walmart for like 4 bucks.

Penny, thanks for posting those pics! Their hair was so cute! I'm sure they thought they were hot stuff, lol. Kids are so funny. What kind of hair cut is that? I would love to have Bubba's hair cut that way. How long will your BIL be in? What does he do for a living in Hawaii? What a fabulous place to live! I can't even afford to visit it! LOL

Well, my day is moving right along. I'm starting to feel tired from my late night rendevous, lol, but I don't know if I can nap, I had a diet coke with lunch. So I may cruise the net for awhile. TTYL!
  • Ok I just stopped in for a sec but I wanted to tell Leigh those things are called Bead Traveler

The boys have three different sizes and they love them. I just wanted sure if you knew the name

    TTYL!
  • New Mom
I am new to this board. My name is Tai and I'm a SAHM to my son Riley almost 5 1/2 mos. I was as low as 108 about 6 months before I got pregnant and then my boyfriend/fiancee (no ring yet need more $) So anyway we did nothing but eat out while we were dating and then I went up to like 130. I went to 179 as my top pregnancy weight and now after 5 months i'm stuck at 155. My boyfriend works so much I never see him it seems, and I try to keep busy and exercise but I have zero modivation. I tried 3 different diets, and am thinking of doing the low carb slim fast just because if there is a shake it's a lot easier than trying to "find" something non junky to eat. It's SO hard when you live with someone who has the worst sweet tooth. I'm 24 so I'm hoping I can get it off with in the next year...I hope. Any advice

  • Welcome TAI!! I am Spryng, I too am 24 years old. I have 3 kids, Ava 4, Joseph 3, and Tanner who just turned 1, I know how hard it is to get that pregnancy weight off. I went up to 190's with every one of my pregnancies. I hated that. I think the slim fast diet is fine as long as it's something you can turn into a lifestyle. There are lots of women on this board with many different diet plans and that is so great! I am on weight watchers and I finally hit my goal weight in april and have been trying to get to a personal goal weight since then. May I ask how tall you are? I was 106 lbs when I got married 6 years ago and I know I can never be that weight again after 3 kids, i would look dead, lol. I hope you feel right at home here and post often!! It's so nice to meet you!

ok, I was on the ww site and guess what? weight watchers is releasing new info on Aug 22!!! I heard something about dairy maybe become a free food!!!! I'm so excited. I'm going to email Ginny to see what she has heard since she attends meetings. TTYL!
  • Afternoon Ladies,i've been alittle busy.I had to go to Wal-Mart and get the kids some new church shoes.I was trying to find something different to drink for my boyfriend he's wanting to drink something with no calories and he does'nt like diet drinks. So I bought sam's choice flavored water it has nothing in it,but did he like it noooo .So I made some tea with that Splenda, not sure if he liked it he did'nt have time to tell me before he ran off to work.

Penny--Getting some sleep made a big difference in how I feel and my energy level.I feel alittle tired right now but I always do after I eat.By the way I had a turkey sandwich and some bbq chips with a diet coke and a as in 1 cookie for lunch.

Spryng--The crockpot deal sounds yummy.I'm not good at making menu's.It seems like we eat the same ol stuff here. But it has changed alittle since I got the grill. As long as I don't burn down the house lol .I'm going to try it again tonight.I'll let yah know if I have a deck left when I get done.
I just took that real age test and it says i'm 29 i'll be 28 in August.I guess it's the kids making me old.lol They are hard to keep up with sometimes.Thats A crazy test I was hoping it would say I was as young as a puppy.lol

Well I gotta get off here for awhile and fire up the grill later.Whats everyone having for supper. We're having those boneless porkchops bbq'ed on the grill.{I HOPE}lol with rice and somekind of vegtable. Can someone give me a some good fat free dessert reciepe.I have a sweet tooth and i'm lost on what to do about it. Well ttyl--Angel
  • Thanks Spryng. I'm 5'1". So i'm pretty short. I wish that I could get out more, but we only have one car and my boyfriend needs it for work. So I don't get out too much, I think that frustrates me and it's one reason why I can't stick to a diet. I don't sleep much either so, it's a sad sad cycle i'm in. I wanted to start running, but I can't do it until 11pm when Chris (that's his name, it's easier than saying boyfriend) get's home from work. Anyway, i'm going to change a diaper. Thanks for replying, i'll be on either later today or tomorrow.
  • Doing very well so far with points today. Could it be my WI tomorrow is shaming me into behaving???

Spryng- dinner sounds good! Okay - I'll reset my calculator then - actually that works better because then I have new flexpoints for the weekend!

Penny/Spryng- thanks for the help with the toy. I found one online pretty cheap. Another thing to entertain Liam while I workout

Ricci- can't wait to hear wjat you decide for vacation!

Angel- your dinner sounds yummy too! Let us know how it turns out.

Welcome, Tai (is that pronounced Tie or Tay? Pretty name) Sorry I missed your original post! I'm Leigh, SAHM mom to one 8-motnh-old and happily married for 2 years. I'm also trying to lose weight I gained well pregnant, plus ten additional pounds I'm on Weight Watchers. I look forward to getting to know you!

Well, gals, tomorrow I interview the woman who will probably be our part-time sitter. She'll come Thursdays from 11am-3pm so I can get other things done - especially when DH is out of town.
  • Hey Everyone, It seems everyone is so tired this week. I'd say it was the weather, but being we're all over the place, that can't be it..LOL

Spryng. Perfect paypal transaction. I will ship it USPS tomorrow or Saturday. I will email you a delivery confirmation. When I print the lable of usps.com, I get a free delivery confirm. You will be able to track it that way. Glad I could give the clothes to someone I know. I hope you like them. ...or at least some.

Penny, Have a great time with you BIL. Kids look soooo cute.

Leigh, great job with points today. Keep up the good work. Good luck with the sitter. It's so hard to find a good one.

Tai, Welcome. I am Melissa..."Melmcc99" SAHM of 2, ages 4 and 21months. Hang in there you'll get there. Stick with this group. I've only been with them 2 weeks and they have all been very inspiring. THANKS GIRLS!!!

Hope the rest of you girls are having a good day....
  • Hi Mel! Yeah, it's hard to leave Liam with anyone

Spryng- I keep forgetting to ask you this, but when you were losing your weight before (on your way to your first goal) how many pounds per week did you average? I'm just curious as a comparison

I'm contemplating whether or not to get a tape called Brazilian Dance Workout with Vanessa Isaac. It's 60 minutes long, though - which will probably be hard for me to do while Liam is awake.
  • First of all, let me welcome Tai!!! I'm Crystal, almost a 27 yo, sahm of 3; almost 4. Alisa 5, Ally 3, and Andrew 19 months, I'm due Feb. 1st. I also homeschool and am an Avon and Watkins Representative. I try to stay busy. I found this site, lost 15 lbs. and found out I was pregnant. I wanted to stick around and make this the healthiest pregnancy yet. I've had a hard first trimester but am getting almost back to normal, I will be in my second trimester starting next week and I just started taking barley green to get my energy level back up so I'm gonna get back on track. My diet was counting calories and exercising, somewhat.
I'm so glad you found us and you can do anything and accomplish anything with this group. Please stick around, you will find it so supportive. We move fast so make sure you check in at least once a day if not more.

Spryng, we had the same idea. When I got back from running errands I got a roast in the crockpot. I'm fixing to add the veggies. I'm glad you're back to normal. I just bought and started taking my barley green today. My sister said it takes about 4 days or so to kick in, I can't wait. I'll let you know how good it works.

    Leigh, how are you today?

Geri, how is the Avon going? This campaign is my second and looks to be a good one.

Hi to everyone else. First I took a deposit to the people making my mom's cabinets, then we delivered Watkins and Avon then went to Mesquite to Mardels to get school stuff. I had found out they were having a sale and did they ever. I found a few things I was looking for and saved about 15 or 20 dollars not having to order it direct.
Well, my house has been suffering alot lately so I'm hoping come next week I'll be able to have the energy to put it back together.
By the way, has anyone ever had a sty? I think that's what I've got in or on my eye lid. I wasn't sure what to do for it other than put hot compresses on it, but like I have the time to do that for long or too many times. I haven't worn makeup in a couple of days not wanting to make it worse. Any ideas?
    TTYL
  • Hello again!

Dinner was sooo good! I forgot how much I love that recipe. I'll share it if anyone is interested. Just let me know! Before dinner I took Tanner outside for about an hour so he could play in his little pool. He had alot of fun but boy was it HOT out there. Glad to be back inside, lol.

Crystal, I love crockpot meals but not all of them are good. I found alot in the saving dinner cookbook are too dry. but I do love a nice big roast in one! I am missing Avon so much!! I need to find a new avon lady here. Plus I am about out of my eye shadow I bought from them so I need to buy more. So see? I need a brochure! LOL... I guess I could order it online, I just hate paying shipping. Not sure about a sty, I'd look it up on the internet if I were you. I'm sure there is something that would help.

Leigh, I have lost slowly since starting ww. The first week I lost 2.5 lbs and then stalled for 3 weeks. After that I averaged about 6 lbs a month and then it went down to 5, then 4, and was at 2 lbs a month for awhile. And towards the end I was lucky to lose 1 lb every two months, lol. I would go up and down, big loss little gain, up down.. was annoying but it got me here. But I have to tell you, when I worked the program like I was suppose to that is when I had 7 lb losses in one month, but after a few months I started having a free day, and then a free weekend when dh was in so it slowed me way down. But that is how I choose to do it and it works for me. Even though it makes it slower, but by it being slower it really becomes second nature and a lifestyle you know? So I am grateful for that.

Melissa, so glad that paypal went through with no problems. I've only used paypal 2-3 times before on ebay stuff so I'm still new at it, lol. And I know Tanner will get great use out of everything you send, I'm not picky on clothes for them especially when it's free! Thank you so much!

Tai, wish I could come run with you! My dh is an over the road truck driver so he is only home every two weeks for a weekend so I don't get out to exercise much either. Before he left I would walk every day and I loved it. I miss it. But you could always get a fun exercise video and do it inside. When I workout I do it after the kids go to bed at night so no one is crawling all over me, lol.

Angel, a good fat free dessert that I like is sugar free jello with fat free whipped topping on it! (it's zero pts for me too) it curbs a sweet tooth. Other than that you can always buy some low fat chocolate gram crackers and put some fat free ice cream in the middle and freeze them, I hear they are fabulous ice cream sandwiches! Smart Ones also makes a killer chocolate cake and cheesecake (and carrot cake) so there are lots of desserts out there.

Well I need to close down this computer... my email has been freezing up on me for some reason lately. i think my yahoo messenger is screwing with it. So I'll TTYL!
  • Welcome Tai. --I'm a sahm of 4 ages are 8,8,7,&4 3 girls and a boy.I'm 27 and live in SC.Have'nt been in here long myself but everyone is really welcoming and easy to talk to.

Leigh__I did'nt burn the house down today.Supper actually turned out good.
Good Luck on the babysitter. That's scary to me, I mean finding someone other than family to trust.I've just watched to much of the nanny cam things that are shown on TV.I guess i'm alittle over protective.I won't even let my kids ride the bus for school unless I have no choice.I was watching a bus cam on Opera or some talk show I watch.Anyhow,The bus wrecked and all the kids on the left side of the bus popped up and landed on all the kids on the right side of the bus.It looked really scary, plus the bullying is something else I won't tolerate.I've always said that I will go to jail for my kids.I hope you understand what I mean by that.Enough on that.Anyhow hope the babysitter thing turns out well for you.Just be careful.

Well I guess I better go clean up supper and get some kind of exercising in.ttyl __Angel
