Too Pooped to Party!
Hi Chickies - Just checking in before I go to bed. Went to work with sinus sore throat and lost my voice by the end of the day. No one showed for dance class (thank God). Came home early and crawled in the bed feeling absolutely miserable so no exericise :( . But stuck to plan and got water in :smug:
Can't stay awake to save my life and like Jayme I usually don't go to bed before 1:00 a.m.! :dizzy: Cat and Jayme - I was a shop and hider until recently - sneaking paintings, jewelry, and shoes into the house. Now I am restriction, particularly about shoes :^:. I only have 43 pair now! But we committed to some renovations I admitted to amassing some credit card debt so I made a pact with dh and myself to stop uncontrolled spending. It hasn't been too bad for most things but boy am I having shoe withdrawal! Jayme - 144 would make me look almost like a supermodel. How tall are you? As far as the discipline goes, again I don't want you to feel as though I am chastising you. Like Faye said you have to decide what is right for you in your home. The book I recommended is just a great source of alternatives ;). Faye is absolutely right about timeout - it can be hard on the parent because to make it work the parent has to be consistent. I have some great short stories I use to teach about alternative discipline techniques. If you are interested p.m me! Julie - thanks for tip! I do the bag of snacks with just cucumbers or carrots but I am going to step up the pace with other veggies for variety! |
THURSDAY: Today is Time for Us Thursday. Make time for you today!
later girlies! Faye :) |
Morning lovelies!
3 points for yesterday..........drank diet pepsi all day instead of water, bad me. Anyway, I had a good workout at aerobics even though I had to drag myself to go and I split my shorts half way through class! :lol3: Thank God I was wearing a long shirt to cover it! Susan, you CAN learn to cook! and the sooner you do it, the more your body will thank you for it. The best part is you can do it for free......every recipe you could ever imagine is on the internet. Go to the library and just surf the recipe sites. Start with the 3fc recipes and go from there. Cookbooks are very expensive, and I know you're a student on a budget. Plus, if you really like a recipe, you will end up memorizing it anyway. Or you could also borrow cookbooks from the library. Now, I own a ton of cookbooks and magazines....because I like to see the pictures. Things that sound gross in words can look really yummy in a picture and I'll try it. Like Lentil Salad....sounds gross, is really good! Learning to cook is a gift to yourself! I used to live on mac n' cheese with hot dogs...........ewwwww. And I gained so much weight from it. Good Luck! Jaymie--take it easy on yourself....you're gonna implode someday. We all know how hard it is to lose ANY amount of weight. But you are putting an awful lot of stress on yourself that doesn't have to be there. Amanda--How was swimming yesterday? You went, right? MsCat--No one showed for dance class? Don't summers bite! Everyone says "Oh, please keep offering class through the summer...." and then one or two people show up per week. It's frustrating....but I make them pay for the summer up front, so at least I know I get paid whether I teach a full class or an empty one. Well, I"m in the middle of packing for a medieval campout weekend.......so I better get going. Everyone have a great day! Julie |
Morning All -
Hope you all had a good day yesterday...mine was fine...but now I am back at work AGAIN, man it seems like your free evenings are so short and the work day SOOOOOOO long...I had another 3 pointer yesterday ... almost blew it because my dh made himself pepperoni pizza ( atkins style ) and I was about to dive into the bag of pepperoni when I decided that I could just eat 2 or 3 and be okay, just barely, ha ha ha   Jaymi - That recipe is deceiving, it sounds like it may be good, but I dont care for meatloaf that much .. too much hamburgar :) Julie - Have you tried the new Coke "C2"? It is wonderful...actually if you are used to having diet it might be a little sweet for you...but for me who hates diet, it tastes great... Cat - I sympathize with you and the no a/c and I dont envy you :D when we first got married we had an apt that had no a/c and it sucked so bad...I hate to be hot and I was just miserable...try to keep cool !!! Faye - How do all of the new clothes fit? Look nice I bet.... Amanda - How was the pool? Everybody have a great day, talk later... |

Hi all!
I got 3 points yesterday. I just managed to stick to my calorie allowance, although it was hard because I just felt so hungry all day - I think it may have been because I did quite a bit of exercise the day before. I was so tempted to just pig out, but I didn't, and I'm really glad! I didn't go to the pool yesterday (never said I would!) - but I WILL go on saturday - they have a women only session on in the afternoon, which will be good as a start for me - and it gives me time to shave my legs! :o I've got a job interview tomorrow - another agency position, this time with a family support team - I'm not getting my hopes up, I'll just do my best and see how it goes :crossed: Julie -  :lol3: at ripping your shorts! I'm glad you had a long t shirt to cover yourself! :o Mscat - Hope you feel better soon :grouphug: Carri - Well done for getting back on track and resisting the pizza! Jaymi - How are things with your husband now? is he stilll talking about going to China? Keep it up with your diet - you are doing so well - you don't have to justify your reasons to any of us! Everyone else - keep it up! Love Amanda x |
POINTS:
Faye :bravo: Julie :cp: Heather :cp: Carri :cp: Amanda :cp: Carri: I love the clothes and love being able to buy at upscale department stores and not fat stores anymore even more than getting the clothes! I ran errands all day so I am pretty bushed. Never did get out to the commissary so will go on Saturday I guess. Sounds like everyone had a good day. Julie: Have fun jousting or whatever it is you do. God you would die of heat stroke wearing that crap here! Have a good evening. Will post more in the am. Faye  |
Hello everyone. Well it’s 2 am, almost 3 a.m.!!, so as you all should guess I have to make this a quickie! (as my quick posts go!! ) No I didn’t get to have any fun today. I did exercise for and hour and 60 minutes. Denise Austin. But I ate terribly… Well actually it could have been worse! But oh well, my pants started getting tighter today for no reason. I wasn’t even eating anything!! I’m starting to get very upset about that 139.. I really wanted to see it on Saturday.. But it doesn’t look too promising. Oh well, who cares.. I’m doing the best I can do…. Just as long as I’m not 212 again on Saturday, that will be fine! I know most of you are probably like… oh shut up!! 139! But just to explain myself.. First I’m 5’0 maybe 4 ‘11 ½ without shoes!! But, it’s not really about the number… but I was down to 140 on the 3rd! I had hit my July goal and I was happy, but now I’ve been going up and down… I just think in these 2 weeks, if I could lost 1 lb from that 140.. Then it would prove that I don’t need those stupid pills… but It seems like I can’t control my cravings.. But what does that mean?? I don’t want to be addicted to some pill for the rest of my life!! What is wrong with me that I can’t say no to chocolate? This really sucks… since I can’t afford those frickin pills! I don’t know what to do anymore.. I can see the numbers going up and up.. Yes I am panicking!! Because the last time… I had gained 20 lbs back in 2 weeks! The exercising alone (5 days a week) wasn’t cutting it!! That’s why I seem so obsessed…. So I’m sorry if it’s annoying! But I DON’T EVER want to go back to where I was!! I don’t want to live like a hermit anymore.. Or wonder when my heart attack or diabetes will get me! My mom is having that stomach surgery next week, the lap-band?!?! (or whatever that is) I’m proud of her… To me.. She is doing the ultimate to help herself! I love her!!! Anyways, Hubby wants to surprise me telling me that his friends are coming over tomorrow to BARBQ… why me? The house is a disaster because I have been packing and repacking stuff so that I can have more room. Now I have to clean up the whole house, plus I have to cook the sides… It will be for 9 people! I still have to go grocery shopping too! Anyways I’m sorry I can’t comment today… but whatever. Hubby pissed me the **** off yesterday, telling me I was “SELFISH” ME!! SELFISH! Yeah right… I swear I could have just punched his eyeball out! I just laughed at him.. Because I know better! Anyways I will talk to you all hopefully in the morning… If I can WAKE UP!!

FRIDAY: Fabulous Lbs Down Friday
Jaymi: Ok, here goes kiddo on your post. FIRST, most IMPORTANTLY is NO ONE is less important here than someone else, EVER!!!!!!! You could be 110 and at goal and you are as important as Faye who still has 150 to lose. GOT THAT!!!!! Secondly, Stressing about NOT losing will only make it worse and you are stressing about this BBQ also. If this was dh's idea, tell him to pick up potatoe chips, potato salad and dip at the store on his way home, then you make a nice salad. I have to tell you, though he would never do it, I would NOT allow Jack to pop crap like that on me without he being responsible for helping out with the food, especially if it were his friends. Seems to me in this day and age there is too much my friends and your friends and not enough WE are our best friends. Jack and I have friends we enjoy, but rarely have we ever done things alone. Your marriage is never set in stone so stand up for yourself, but DON'T SCREAM! It gets you no where as ALL hubby's have an anti scream button they turn you off big time. As for your weight loss, you are doing great. I see things you post that could cause you problems because you are so close to goal (like the Wendy's food the other day). It is really tough when you get close to goal to lose so you have to be extra extra dilligent! YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!! My dh is a grump since last night. He stayed up late listening to the Cubs baseball game on radio and I was in a snit because I can't stand it when he throws things here and there and then when you go to look for them you can't find them. He NEVER puts stuff away unless I do it or nag him and never in his office until he can't stand it. What happened was I have a folder that holds all the warranty booklets for stuff in the house and I ask him if he had the one for the digital camera as it wasn't in the the folder. He looked around the room and said NO and of course you know it was stuffed somewhere. I got mad because he was screwing around on the computer not doing something important and wouldn't look for it. Suffice it to say, he is still a grouch so he can de-grouch at work! I worry when he is grumpy like this that maybe it is BP or something so that always concerns me too. Gotta get in the pool first thing as it is going to be raining by noon. Have a good day Faye :) |
Morning ( Man Faye you are up early ) ...
I had a 3 pointer yesterday, just barely, we had steak n shake for dinner and my WW thing says that a small frye there is 5.5 points, and I asked for a small through the drivethrough but it did not look like a small, more like a medium, well anyway....no pounds down for me this week, after last weekend I am just happy to be maintaining this week..so look for some pounds down next week !!!!! :) :D Jaymi - QUIT being so hard on yourself about this weight thing, you are obsessing....you have come so far and doing such a great job, you are young and healthy and it will eventually come off, relax Girl :) As for the hubby dropping the BBQ on ya, un huh - I agree with Faye - he can stop by the store on the way home and pick up chips and cold sides.... Amanda - Good job on sticking to plan, we know that everyday is a struggle Faye - My dh is the exact same way about putting things away and finding them, I think it is a man thing.... Susan, Cat, Nefertiti, Julie, Heather, and everyone have a good day, and if I dont stop in later, have a great weekend...I am sleeping in until NOON tomorrow!!! |
Morning Ladies,
OK, speedy quick cuz I gotta go set up a medieval encampment by noon! 2 points for water and exercise yesterday.....we ended up ordering pizza for dinner because I was beat from packing and loading the van all day. I was just loading the last few things into the car, and WHAM! no power. No reason, it was a nice day..........just no power. So, I couldn't cook anyway. I was planning to get some last minute sewing and cleaning done. But ended up having to just go to bed. Yes, Faye, I have fought down there (I lived in Raleigh, NC for years).....and yes, people I know have come close to dying of heat stroke! We have to be extra vigilant about heat injuries. Fortunately, we have people who take it as their job to make sure the fighters are hydrated and take breaks. We are all VERY careful.......it's harder up here, because the heat isn't as obvious. Can't make individual replies today...........gotta fly. I'll be back Monday! Everyone have a great weekend. Julie |
Quick drop in!! Hello everyone! I didnt go to sleep until about 330 am! My baby didnt go to sleep until about 2 am, so I woke up early about 6:15 and guess what... up gets my daughter too! So... no exercise as of yet! I need to go to Walmart, but i know she will decide to take her nap at that time! I know that I SHOULD tell hubby to geth those sides.. but that will only turn out to make me look bad as usual. He'll somehow make it seem twisted that i don't like his friends or I don't want them over or some kind of way. I almost always have an attitude when we are all together.. and it always looks like it's because of them.. but my hubby acts an a*s when they are around... he 's always trying to prove something like he has as much as someone else... But WE DONT! At least not the 4 wheelers, and boats, and motorcycles... but who the **** cares?!? As much as he wastes on other things, he could have them.. but then it would always be something. Why do men feel like they have to compete with someone? Don't they have men that (like me) Don't give a da*n what other's have and I don't! Or could care less what people think!! Oh well, anyways: Faye~ You are soooo right!!! Every single thing you said!! It's just that those Wendy's and Mcdonalds.... are 50x's harder to pass up! Before my hubby would be driving, so ordering a salad is no sweat, but when I'm driving my sister around, I can't eat salads, and she doesnt have a license. I tried everything, bringing sandwiches with me, but I always run out of bread, even bringing f/f cheese, mayo, wheat buns etc.... with me so if I buy a burger I can switch it up... but nothing works for long! I just gotta keep trying harder. Carri~ you are so lucky... STEAK!! I'm starving now! You are right.. I am obsessing... but I don't know how to panic calmly! I've saw that 20 lbs creep up on me in 2 weeks, and I just watched it and did nothing but keep exercising and exercising... so now I don't want that to happen again! I'll try to be stronger about it.. thanks.. I also need to borrow some of your points!! BTW, this is something I got in an email today, thought it was kinda neat! Here's something to keep in mind when you're tempted to have a "treat" that's not on your plan—estimate how much activity it will take to work off the indulgence! To figure it out, remember that a one-mile walk burns approximately 100 calories. With that in mind, check out these examples: Food Calories Miles of Walking Cheeseburger 359 3.5 French fries, large 578 5.7 Soda pop, 16 ounces201 2 Potato chips, 8-ounce bag 1217 12 Ice cream (vanilla), 2 scoops 290 2.9 Cheesecake, 1 piece 257 2.5 Chocolate bar, 1.5 ounces 223 2.2 Beer, 12-ounce can 117 1 As you can see, the old adage of "a moment on the lips, forever on the hips" rings true! While no food is "off-limits" on the plan, remember that it is a whole lot easier to eat calories than it is to burn them. So choose wisely—and plan to add a few extra miles of walking to your workout when you splurge! |
Hello Hello!
Well after a bad two weeks and gaining 4 pounds I spent a week avoiding "bad" food and listening to my body and waiting to eat till I was hungry I lost 4 pounds oh yes oh yes...:cb: I'm back to 186 my record low. NOW, Jaymi, don't feel bad if you've been caught in the same few pounds for a few weeks...I've been hovering in the 186-196 range for 7, count them, SEVEN months. BUT NO LONGER! I am going nowhere but down from here! I'm not goint to get caught again and waste more and more months! Its been a year now since I started this weightloss endeavor and joined 3fc. I've lost 32lbs and have 36 to go and If at all possible I want them gone by january. That was my origional goal at the beginning of last year. Since I've muddled around for so long I understand if I don't make it but none the less It WILL BE GONE SOON AFTER AND FOR GOOD! My goal this week is of course to continue getting control of my eating and to begin exercise. I even rode my bike here to the library today :) So I'm off to a good start. Have a great day everyone and good luck on losses. |

Carri :cp: Julie :dancer: LBS DOWN THIS WEEK: Susan :goodscale :goodscale :goodscale :goodscale Super Job girlfriend! Julie: I had forgotten to tell you that when I lived across town I used to see them at Audobon Park by where we used to live. Have a super time! Carri: I guess my body is just tuned to 4:30 am (that and the cat comes and gets on the bed every morning around that time and meows until I get up.) Jack gets up at 5 so I get up so Butterscotch won't bother him for the extra half an hour. Oh, keep this in mind, ok? If Penn gets to the finals in football this year, we are coming down to Indy for the championship game and I would really like to maybe take you and hubby out to dinner or something. We are going to Indiana the Tues before Thanksgiving and staying until Sunday, but if Penn is in the finals we will be going to Indy probably Friday or Saturday night. SIX WEEKS UNTIL THE END OF THE CHALLENGE? HOW HAVE YOU DONE THIS QUARTER??????? YOU STILL HAVE TIME TO GET SERIOUS AND WIN! Have a good afternoon ladies! Faye :) |
