So far so good this week. I haven't gone to the gym monday or tuesday but I walked both days which was a workout in itself! I'm not weighing myself until saturday but I know there is no way my weight has gone up, it can only go down from here! I can't wait to go to the gym tonight, not only because I've been spacing out my visits, which works better for me, but because it's air conditioned!! HA!! Have a great day ladies!!

Well, I dusted off my bike pumped up the tires (which were flat) and went for a good 6 mile + ride and it was wonderful I forgot how good exercise can feel! Much better than staying indoors on my Its been so long since i've been on the thing that I could'nt remember how to change gears at first and even with a new gel seat I was a bit saddle sore when I got home i'm going out on it again today

That's awesome Cat! I love to go biking, I haven't done much of that myself. My bf gets that saddle waddle after he's been competing or out with buddies! HA! Another hot day here, I am on my way to buy another fan, this heat is killing us!! I can't wait until the weekend I am going to the closest watering hole, HA! No gym tonight, had a very active day in the heat and I'm going to find a way to cool off!

Thank goodness the weather is toned down a bit! This cool breeze makes a world of difference, and about 10 degrees!! My weekend was a bust ladies! I ate out almost every night and indulged in fudge pops and ice cream. Now that TOM is over and the weather is cooler I have no more excess. And to place the cherry on the cake I didn't go to the gym at all! I am a very bad girlie. This week I want to get 2 pounds off, I pre-made my lunches tonight and I have no need to throw in a pop-tart or those horrible things calling my name in my bf's snack cupboard! Have a good week ladies and hopefully I will be good and make my two pounds goal loss for this week!

Miss P, I know you can do it! Be and you will make your 2# loss this week! I have faith in you... do you?

Sorry that I have been MIA... I have been away from the computer and just generally not in a typing mood I'm back though... Today is may doctor's appointment and the only good thing about that is I get to leave work early! The bad part is I have to be insane, but I need to ask them to do blood work.... Yuck.... Ever since HS, I've had an issue with people drawing my blood because some idiot stuck the thing through my vein... now I just don't trust those people I will be brave!

I hope everyone is doing well! At the gym this Saturday I was at 183.5, which would bring me to an overall weight loss of 37# That's not the weight I'm using for this challenge though, so I should be telling you I saw 181.5 on the bathroom scale this morning... That's 3.5# down, 6.5# to go...

WTG Jenn You are doing so well not so for me i've lost my ooomph with this heat i'm in Miss P's mood of a few days ago and i'm consuming vast amounts of ice cream and beer and not exercising i've been avoiding the scale for a couple of weeks but i faced the music this morning and i've gained 4lbs since our last challenge i think the reason i've lost interest is because my BIL and his family are arriving in 3 weeks and i keep thinking whats the point of taking it off now only to gain it back when they arrive stupid is'nt it but i intend to travel with them and eat out when they do i won't be saying "No, i'm on a diet" NO CHANCE!

Miss P, Well Done on getting back on track i'm sure you'll get those 2lbs off this week

Hi guys. I've been trying to find some support with some chicks who check in regularly and don't get too chatty...looks like I've found a good thread.
I have a mini goal, I want to lose 5 pounds by Aug 12, when I leave for a vacation,. That gives me about 2 weeks.
Some back ground info...I just had a baby 2 1/2 months ago and I'm breast feeding. So I'm burning calories pretty easily. If I just stop drinking beer and eating ice cream, I think 5 pounds is reachable.
So I'll be hanging with you guys for a while. Lets do it!!!

Cat - What you said is soooo true! For me, I slacked off this week in my posts because it's just been so hot until this weekend and turning on this computer just makes me feel hotter. Summer has a way of capturing your free time and making that time fly on by!

Thank goodness for the cool breeze and I am hopeful for some rain that is suppose to be coming in the next few days. As for my 2 pound challenge for last week - no go.. I tried but the exercise portion wasn't there and two nights out of five I had takeout AFTER 9pm because of a two night course I took in signing (deaf). I will push that challenge on again for this week, so far I burnt 600 calories at the gym today and I'm feeling fabulous!!!

Keep up the good work everyone and I will hopefully be 2pds less on the scale by friday!!

Hey Miss P, I am hoping to be down 2 pounds by fri too. Today I did OK, no beer, no dessert. I had a bagel dog at Noah's Bagels for lunch. When I got home I looked it up on-line.....they have almost 600 calories!!!! Whoa. I'm not eating one of those again. So, although the night is not over yet, I think I ended up with about 1800 cals total, maybe less. I can live with that. (by the way, I had a terrible week-end eating & exercise wise. Had fun though.)
I did something really depressing the other night. I took a digital picture of myself in my underwear. I used the timer so I could photo by back side too. It wasn't pretty. I won't go into details but I really need to lose some fat from my upper body.
I'm not looking forward to being in a bathing suit in 2 weeks, now that I know how scary I am. Even if I reach my goal of 5 pounds. Uggg.
However, I think if I DO reach my goal I'll be felling pretty pleased with myself inspite of the reality.

Boy, I would really love some rain. It does't rain at all here in the summer. We like to drive out to the coast for some fog when it gets unbearably hot.


I just added up my calories for the day and it only came out to just under 1300. I feel like I must be missing something. I even had some chocolate. It was a snack, not dessert.....
No beer today though....

The baby won't stop crying tonight. Usually a little classical music lulls him to sleep but he's mad about something tonight. Gotta go...

Well Done Apple that is my downfall too all those calories in beer the last time I successfully lost weight I limited it so it looks like i'll have to do it again if I want to be successful again Hope the baby is better today

Hi!
I just added up cals on fitday again and this time I'm around 1100 for the day, which doesn't seem right either. Has anyone else tried fitday?

Cat- the baby went right to sleep tonight. Ahhhh... Is that your baby in the picture?

I am back down from the week-end splurge, but I don't really want to count that towards my mini goal. I really wish I wasn't a scale addict. Today I weighed in ever time I was in the bathroom.

No beer today...

You are just like me Apple I get weighed everytime I go for a pee the picture is of my grand-daughter she is a little and always smiling. I've tried Fitday but I don't like it cuz its so time consuming it will be right tho'
